🐺 You seemed happiest describing the last two advents. So I think the Calico quilt. But they are all just beautiful yarns. It will be fun to see which one is calling you when you start.
The Tolsta Tee is looking awesome! Calico Quilt Shawl is my vote. I think you should totally count the 2 separate socks as a pair for the bingo board. 🦊
I’d do the Calico Quilt Shawl. There’s not a lot to really think about, just picking colors. And it’ll look good with anything your wearing. I’d like to make that one myself.🦊
Hi Helen 👋, love the podcast , I'm going with the Cosy Coastline Shawl ❤ the 🦊 yarns are gorgeous ( farmers theme ) thank you for sharing have a good weekend xx
I did a Calico Quilt shawl a couple of years ago - it is my favourite (and currently only) shawl to wear at home and it helped me use up 36 of the mini skeins I’ve been hoarding. I held the yarn double - once a mini skein with itself and once combined with another colour. And I added a row of squares to the original number. I would have added another if I hadn’t run out of patience. So I strongly recommend it and it may be used to tackle more than one advent calendar 🦊
Helen, I hadn’t realised that we were so alike in our indecisiveness of what to make with our Advents!!! 🦊 I’m going to have to suggest the Cosy Coastline Shawl but only because it may encourage me to do mine as well 😅 I started mine with The Fibre Fox 2023 advent at the beginning of Dec but as always happens, other things happened!!!
Your Tolsta tee is looking great😍 I love the look of the Snowy Pines wrap, and it will look great in the Castle View yarns advent. And as you say, it's a shape you like to wear🦊
🦊 I'm voting for the Calico Quilt shawl, but I'm biased as I'm planning to knit that with your advent this year! How about Mog's Christmas? It's a book we love in our house, and Mog books have been on kids book shelves since the 70s, it has a similar feel to The Snowman I think. And it was made into an animation last year!
Lovely to see you again. I’m in the same boat as you as far as trying to start (and finish) an advent project so I really feel unable to give you an opinion. I really don’t enjoy triangular shawls so that eliminates som of your options. I had a bit of a shock when you said “wouldn’t it be nice if dyers caked up the advent minis?” - I can’t imagine the amount of work that would be for a dyer to do! Shudder, shudder! I love the Fantastic Mr. Fox collection. It’s stunning! 🦊 Until next time. Peace and Joy!
🦊 I came to say that I’d pick the Calico Quilt shawl and have just seen that the majority have gone with that too - great minds think alike! 😂 I’m getting Hannah’s advent this year and am too excited for it. I’ll also have to pick a pattern at some point…..
Hi Helen! I love the calico shawl, with the cosy coastline being a close second. When you were talking about doing an advent project in a month what popped into my head was Christmas in July, might be something to consider! 🦊 x
I can see I'm going to be outnumbered but I'm going to back the Cosy Coastline Shawl. Based on the description I think it starts at the small end of the shawl so when you cast on you will see loads of progress and can get the cable pattern loaded in. Then I think it would be a great project as it is mindless knitting between the cable edge and increasing edge. 🦊
The Calico quilt shawl in the last advent set with the few solids will be mindless and as the colours will change frequently, it should knit up quickly and keep you interested. 🦊
Hello Helen. I am finally getting caught with my podcast watching. Your tolsta will be epic ❤. I want you to cast on the Castle View one as I have that too and want to see it knitted up 😂 🦊🦊🦊 have a great weekend ❤
I am watching this whilst winding an advent to cast on a project for one of my bingo squares! I knit the cosy coastline shawl this year and it is a lovely knit, really quick to do but also engaging. You said you already have the patter for this printed so maybe that is a sign for you to knit that one! Also love your hair Helen.
🦊 I think the Calico Quilt Shawl, it's beautiful and either of those advents would look amazing! I have the 2022 one still unused (plus 2 more from other dyers and getting one this year). I'm kind of paralysed by indecision about what to make with them as so much choice! I think I'm going to make a sweetshop blanket by Laura Penrose with one, and use a main colour to go with. I did make a Entrelacc and Key shawl by TLYarn Crafts with a DK one and it turned out amazing! Will you be doing the bingo card make along next year? I didn't find you until a couple of months ago so too late this year, but it sounds like something that would help use up my stash and motivate me to do so!
I've enjoyed the Bingo challenge so much I'd love to do it again next year! I'll ask in a podcast nearer the end of the year and see what everyone thinks.
Hello i Vote for the Cosy Coastline, i Love the cable ON the side and the shape off the shawl. All off your Advents are beautyfull colors. 🦊 Have a good time 🎃😽
I made a Calico Quilt Shawl with my 2021 advent. It was a lot of fun to knit. I can much recommend ❤️ Another enjoyable podcast. Also YAY for Yarntube 🙌 🦊
Oh you did didn't you! I think actually that might be where I found out about the pattern! Well if the dyer suggests it, it must be the right pattern for the yarn 😉
🐺X🍊 I have a kindle fire, so no fox emoji😹 we will have to go with orange wolf! Close enough!😬 🎶🎵 sing a song of sixpence, pocket ful of rye. Four and twenty blackbirds, baked in a pie🎵🎶
I love all the shawl options, but my vote goes to the Calico Quilt shawl just because I'm planning to knit it around Nov/Dec time too. Maybe you could do a KAL for motivation to get it done by the end of the year? 🤔 🦊💕
I m new to your channel, I from Canada my great grand parents are from Scotland, last name Mackie. But that my mothers side, my last name Vik, father is from Norway , I m a very mixed with Norwegian, English Scottish and Prussian. Lol
I would say the cosy coastline shawl, but have you considered the Babbling Brook wrap also from Shannon? With regards your bingo card - doesn't the Wednesday Addams collection count as an Advent? Xx Ps The Whistling is amazing. Xx
I see Advent as a specific 24 day Christmas thing rather than just a countdown, so in my head the Wednesday countdown doesn't count as its a Halloween countdown not Christmas 😆
Oh yes, definitely the Calico Quilt Shawl. It will be so lovely. Thank you, Helen, for all the yarny inspiration.
Thank you ❤️
🦊🦊love the fantastic Mr Fox set. The yellow set looks made for Ruth, of Ruth loves to knit. Thank you, as always for a lovely inspiring podcast x
Thank you for watching 💜
Love your jumper using your Wednesday yarn it’s looking amazing 😻.
I love the Calico shawl.
Who doesn’t love Fantastic Mr Fox 🦊 🤩 x
I'm so enjoying the jumper!
🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊 Beautiful colors! Love seeing your projects and hearing your plans! I think the Calico Quilt shawl will be amazing!
The vote seems to be going in favour of the calico quilt shawl so far!
Thanks for another inspiring podcast. Great Mr Fox collection 🦊
Thank yiunfir watching 💜
I really like the look of the blue fern pattern with the cables. 🦊
It's such a pretty pattern
Christmas with the kranks would be a great idea for your box or 12 days it is a book as well as a movie. Great to see you love all your knits.
Thank you 💜
🐺 You seemed happiest describing the last two advents. So I think the Calico quilt. But they are all just beautiful yarns. It will be fun to see which one is calling you when you start.
Too many beautiful yarns, making the decision very difficult 😆
Yep, another vote for the Calico Quilt shawl!👍
Woohoo it's in the lead.
The calico quilt is beautiful. 🦊
Thank you 💜 it's winning so far.
The Tolsta Tee is looking awesome! Calico Quilt Shawl is my vote. I think you should totally count the 2 separate socks as a pair for the bingo board. 🦊
I may end up counting them if I've no other socks finished by the end of the year 😆
Oh my, the Fantastic Mr. Fox yarns are GORGEOUS! I don’t know how to pick! But I will! 🦊
Thank you 💜
I’d do the Calico Quilt Shawl. There’s not a lot to really think about, just picking colors. And it’ll look good with anything your wearing. I’d like to make that one myself.🦊
It's definitely winning the vote so far! I feel like modular is a good call too, as each section is small so no long rows.
Hi Helen 👋, love the podcast , I'm going with the Cosy Coastline Shawl ❤ the 🦊 yarns are gorgeous ( farmers theme ) thank you for sharing have a good weekend xx
Thank you so much 💓
i would knit either the Snowy Pines or Calico Quilt shawl. Love Mr Fox 🦊
Thank you 💜
🦊 hi Helen! I vote for Snowy pines, nothing beats an arrow shape shawl ↗️😁
I love an arrow shape too!

It's definitely a shudder at the idea of caking all the advent minis 😆
I made the calico Shawl last year and it’s lovely to make and wear!! 🦊
It might be the one to go with, it definitely seems the popular choice!
Love your mr fox yarns very tempted to knit a pair of socks 🦊🦊
Thank you 💜
Cost coastline, it looks like a lovely one with the cabling 🦊
It's a beautiful pattern.
🦊I think the Calico Quilt Shawl would be a good one!🦊
Thank you 💜
Me too the Calico Quilt shawl 🦊
Thank you 💜
I vote the coastal shawl! 🦊
Thank you 💜
🦊 I made a Calico Quilt Shawl a couple of years ago with an advent and had so much fun. You should make that one.
It seems to be winning the vote so far and actually getting me excited about the idea of it.
If you bring out anymore earth toned yarns, me and my library and at least one cat are going to have to come live in your studio 🤓
I'll happily take your library and a cat 😆😆
