Didn’t think of the swoop, not once. You distracted me with your lovely knits. As a lifelong straight haired person, I would love some swoops. Thanks for mentioning the make it tweed drawback. I haven’t used mine yet and would have been disappointed with any kind of not totally soft feel on my neck.
The swoop! I'm excited to have found just the right project for my Make It Tweed because I think it's absolutely fabulous, but in my case I don't think it's appropriate for every project. Glad the feedback helped.
I have totally been feeling the big cozy sweaters as it gets colder but it's not cold enough to justify putting the heat on haha! Been living in my PureWash City Limits.. It was one of my first ever knits but still one of my favourites! It's so soft and so warm!
Hi there - I have really sensitive skin and also allergic skin, so I get how you are concerned about knits around your neck. I did make the Channel pullover with the recommended yarns and it has been totally comfortable. I did soak and block, which I think does soften the tweed yarn. I love wearing it so much, that I have been contemplating another one. I love the black, so that might be my next choice. Hmmm ... I do a lot of test knitting (over 70 so far) and I am finishing up a couple right now. I think I need to take a break, knit some of my queue and make more gifts and smaller items. I have two little granddaughters, and I am planning on more knits for them. I have a lot of knit-worthy people in my life and how many sweaters can I actually wear? Love your yarn and love the fact that you have created an all Canadian yarn.
Thanks for sharing your experience with the Channel Pullover! That's great to hear it's been comfortable for you. Maybe I was worried for nothing. It's such a beautiful pattern. I definitely intend to knit it and it will look fabulous in black!
100% in on the release of your vest pattern in November. I’ve already planning on making 3 for gifts. Fabulous episode. Will definitely be in touch for help with colors for 2 of them. Your patterns are amazing. Thanks
There is nothing that makes me happier than working from my yarn wall! It's so satisfying. I do think that the blown yarn is going to be more prone to pilling. I wonder if the tweed will help to camouflage it a little? It's a compromise. Softness for pilling.
Currently working on a little cozy/cover for a Terry’s chocolate orange. It looks like a Christmas pudding! Knit most of it while watching this episode now to buy an orange and check it fits (didn’t swatch)! 🤞🏻
I think it depends on what is going on in my house that determines whether I can think through changing a pattern to what I want. Not that I designed it myself, but after u redo it, it sometimes turns 8 to something totally different. I often wonder if I’m insulting the pattern designer bcos I log it under their pattern, as I start out using the pattern.
I don't think it's insulting to the designer at all. I love seeing modifications and seeing how people make a pattern their own. That's the joy of handmade!
When I used the Make It Tweed yarn held with a smooth, solid coloured black yarn the barber pole effect was not to my liking. It works much better with a less contrasting yarn IMO.

That swatch looks to me like a sweet scarf. So keep going. Love the sweater you’re wearing.
It could definitely be a scarf! I love how it's turning out. Thank you!
❤
Love your videos and patterns. Keep on creating! I couldn’t get a swoop if I tried so am jelly of yours.
Thank you so much! I have to say I do appreciate the swoop though I sometimes wish it wasn't so persistent!

Sweaters in our PureWash worsted are the closest thing to a knit sweatshirt that I can think of. So cozy!!!

Thank you so much! I'm excited to see the different color combinations people come up with! 😊
@ I actually love the one you made for yourself and plan on totally copying your color choice.
I think of you as the queen of fade! Love that you're working from your wall!
Do you think the blown yarn is more prone to pilling? Thanks!❤

Cannot wait for this vest pattern. You are an amazing designer and we are lucky that you share your creativity with us.💜
Thank you so much! I love sharing my patterns as WIP's because your encouragement is so motivating! I appreciate it. ❤️
Yessssssss you can release that vest pattern!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤ I have 3 grand daughters and would love to WIP up something that fast and cozy too ❤👍👍🎄🎁🎁🎁
Amazing. I started a tiny vest for my 2 yo niece this afternoon and have already completed the yoke! It's such a quick knit in the smaller sizes.
@ I can’t wait!!!!!! 😁💕🎁🎁🎁

I hope it fits! A Terry’s chocolate orange cover sounds so cute!

Did I miss the chat about the barber poles?

I have 2 horrible and determined cowlicks and fine Scandinavian hair, so I don’t have a chance.
Cow licks are so stubborn. It's a losing battle!
