🧝♀An elf will have to do! :) Thanks for a lovely catch up Helen - I adore your crochet blanket! It'll be lovely and weighty to snuggle under too. I vote for a stripey jumper with the Halloween fade! xx
I love the ink and brass jumped, I've made 2 so far and plan on more. Mine are both 2 colours but in the future I'd like to do one with more colours. I think the minis would look great with a semi solid alternating 😍
🍄 Hi Helen. You are such a temptress! I am, by necessity on such a yarn diet at the moment and then you come out with such gorgeous new yarn options! Good thing nothing is coming out until the end of the month. It keeps me from just clicking and buying right now. So nice to spend some time with you again today though. Thank you so much for making these episodes for us to enjoy. Until next time. Salam wa sa’aadah
Mushroom 🍄 I think a striped sweater of some description would be perfect for your Beehive yarns countdown. I also think that another So Faded could be a great way of showcasing some of your colour ways that you would be able to wear at shows.
I definitely think it needs to be something stripey! I really do need to do myself a so faded for shows, I'm just terrible at knitting with my own yarn, it feels too much like work 🙈😆
Hi Helen, loved this podcast 😊. You always need to take time out so do not worry. I think that a striped jumper would look fabulous and I can’t wait to see your socks worked up. It’s all very gnomie which I love. Gnomes always make me think of mushrooms 🍄 🤭. I hope you feel better soon x
I’m doing my usual and forgetting this is a podcast and that you can’t hear me while I shout Martin Freeman at you😂 thanks for keeping me company while I clean the bathrooms!
🍄 Of course mushrooms and gnomes go together! 😅 Also, if you want your project to really bring out the Halloween vibes, you could always pair your bundle with a nice orange color. 🎃 Happy knitting!
Hi Helen - one suggestion for a halloween-themed sock pattern with a cable column is "A little hocus pocus" by this handmade life. Its a free pattern too!
After I would say around 35 years I have returned to knitting. I am on my second pair of socks using your wonderful yarn Helen. You have inspired me to pre order the new Grimblewood Gnomes book to start using any of the left over will from the socks.
⛰️🌲 had to come back to show that I watched it all ahahhahah. I like your idea of a striped tee or jumper. I would go for charcoal grey, but pebbles is a great option too❤
I love my Litmus cowl! I wasn't sure how much I'd wear a double wrap cowl, but it is my go to now. It is so warm and squishy. Plus it is really good mindless knitting. There is also a crochet version, Decisively Indecisive by ASpringSnowflake. A Pattern I have my eye on for an advent is the Alhambra Scarf (crochet) by Mahliqa . 🎣🧶
Your blanket turned out lovely! How about the body of the sweater in the fade kit and the ribbing and sleeves in Pebble? Or you could do a Musselburgh hat and some mitts. The Halloween boxes look so interesting. 🍄🦋🏰🧙♀️🧚♀️
Loved this episode and your plans for the Halloween yarns and the make along - I have something in mind to make 👻 as for gnomes ...🍄 ... best I could find!
🧙♂️Helen, there's absolutely no need to explain to us why you haven't made much, we know how it is and there's no pressure. We're just glad to have a chat with you. Take care, I hope you're feeling better soon. Love the Arthur Dent yarn. BTW couldn't find a gnome, so put a wizard, beard, hat, long hair, close enough😂
🧝🍄🎣 I am a bit behind on my podcasts at the moment due to a busy summer, I am having to catch up. But this is the best I could do for a gnome, an elf and fishing rod as I always think of a gnome fishing whilst sitting on a mushroom 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed your July vlog Helen, and am really looking forward to the August one. Thanks for taking the time to make them. The colours you chose for your next gnome are perfect. I started one of the mystery Xmas gnomes a couple of years ago but got overwhelmed and gave up. I've just found a free gnome kal, linked to the publication of the Grimblewood book so think I'm going to give it a go. Wish me luck!
Helen striped sweater for sure with pebble , the yarn yarn has to make a forever piece it is beautiful. Sorry Helen I could not find a gnome but I was there till the end xxxx
🍄 Tanis Lavelle has a pattern called Lifesavers which has thin stripes of contrast yarn against a more neutral colour like grey, I think that would work well with the Bee Hive Yarns set. I'm very tempted by the Halloween Treat box, love the theme and the image.
The first thing that came to my mind for the Halloween yarn is the "Sock arms" pattern by Stephanie Lotven. The body is a single MC color, and the sleeves are worked in stripes (either from minis or a self-striping). Then I remembered about the "Sea Glass Tee" by Wool&Pine which is a 1-row stripe tshirt, so no other MC needed. And maybe with a bit of planning the "So faded" by Andrea Mowry might work. I had no luck with the gnome emoji. There are elfs and mermaids and witches but NO gnomes. They should do something about it. 🤭 But anyway I'm looking forward to the August super vlog! ✨✨
I'm so disappointed that there's not gnome emoji! They're definitely missing out there! I'd forgotten about the sock arms sweater, that's a great idea!
Thanks for the lovely podcast Helen I hope you feel better and catch up soon. How about a slipover/sleeveless tank top with the striped yarn then no need to add another colour, either that or do a top with just the sleeves striped and a contrast collar? That would look really cool with dungarees. I love the idea of a halloween box so just might have to treat myself this year, your colours look amazing 😍🧙🧚♀🍄🌳🐌
Have you seen the Adriana cardigan that Ellie from Craft House magic is making? I just live it, & it would be quite a non stressful one to make, as you make it in granny squares & then knit the bands. Just a thought Helen 🤔. Love your podcasts always 🤗❤️🥰💕👏😍
🧚♀ Could not find a gnome emoji, but here is a wizard and a fairy who make me think of gnomes. 😉I love the Halloween inspired yarn collections. I really love the jewel tones in the Haunted Library. Thank you for sharing, Helen. ❤
I think you answered your own question regarding the Wednesday yarn - sounds like you want to do a top! Another idea would be something like the Bits and Bobs cowl, when it’s really cold, I wear one of mine under a shawl for extra warmth!
ooh, very much looking forward to those halloween yarns. Just gotta decide which option to go with heh need to start thinking about what to knit during the KAL.... 🍄
Hello glad to see you back.love the blanket I really would love for you to please show how you made the nomes.they are so beautiful ❤️. have a wonderful day.
🌲🍁🍄🌸🧙♀These are the nearest emojis I could find that were Gnome related. Lovely seeing you back Helen. Can I ask if you will be doing the Christmas Eve box like you did last year? I absolutely loved mine. X
🍄 No Gnomes on TH-cam comments. But obviously this Fly Agaric goes well with the Gnimblewood lot. 😉 Looove the Marvin and Keep Calm colours! Unfortunately too late for preorder, will you have them in store at some point? Was about to order my ticket for GSoY and - shock horror - it's the weekend we're still on holiday!!! Will miss seeing you and all the other vendors!! Mean I have to purchase online instead!
The spares will be back online at some point, and I'm.sure I'll add them as dyed to order colours too. Probably sometime in November. Such a shame you won't make it to GSOY, fingers crossed for next year though.
Kay Jones from the bakery bears podcast made a fab tubular scarf with her Wednesday pack, interspersed with a grey much like your pebble colour way. Might be an idea for you? I think there may be a pattern can’t remember. 🍄 = Gnome?
Funnily Kay is making another similar one and talks about it in their latest podcast. I was mistaken there isn’t a pattern yet but I think Kay is releasing one soon.
⛄ not a gnome but a snowman 🤣 Aww I always knew about you from other youtubers, but I never realised you had a youtube channel!! So glad I came across this video. I'll be controversial ... I'd use a LIGHT solid with those Halloween minis.. Shock, horror! Just in time for Halloween :D xx
🧝♀An elf will have to do! :) Thanks for a lovely catch up Helen - I adore your crochet blanket! It'll be lovely and weighty to snuggle under too. I vote for a stripey jumper with the Halloween fade! xx

Lovely podcast, Helen ❤🍄❤
Thank you! 😊

Ooh thank you, I've added it to my favourites!
🍄🍄 first timer, enjoyed your podcast and will be watching more
Thank you for watching ❤️ I'm.glad you enjoyed it!

I definitely think it needs to be something stripey! I really do need to do myself a so faded for shows, I'm just terrible at knitting with my own yarn, it feels too much like work 🙈😆
You could also hold the Halloween yarn double with a lace and make stripes 😊 🧙🏼
I feel like I really want to show the yarn off as it is for this one, but if I have leftovers a stripey hat held with fluff would be awesome.
Thank you for watching ❤️ I'm definitely leaning towards some kind of striped jumper!
I’m doing my usual and forgetting this is a podcast and that you can’t hear me while I shout Martin Freeman at you😂 thanks for keeping me company while I clean the bathrooms!
😆😆 I totally kicked myself afterwards!
🍄 Of course mushrooms and gnomes go together! 😅 Also, if you want your project to really bring out the Halloween vibes, you could always pair your bundle with a nice orange color. 🎃 Happy knitting!
Orange is possibly one of my least favourite colours despite my love of Halloween 😆
🧙♂🍄 no gnome emoji, but best I could find. Lots of inspirational mood boards on this podcast, so, so busy x
I'm so sad there's no gnome emoji 😆
🧚🍄🦄 faded tolsta tee is always a good option x
🧙♀🧝♀couldn't find a gnome emoji, but love your yarn colourways. I'm starting to knit more Gnomes too, now that Summer sock camp is coming to an end
Gnomes are the best! Their so fun to knit.
I just love gnomes and 🍄 and watching your podcasts !
Yay! Thank you!

Love the fishing rod for a.gnome emoji 😆
I'd use the minis for a Just feel festive shawl by Caleisha Ryan. It works up really quickly.
I love that pattern, but I think with only 13 minis, I might not have enough to make it a good size.
Your blanket turned out lovely! How about the body of the sweater in the fade kit and the ribbing and sleeves in Pebble? Or you could do a Musselburgh hat and some mitts. The Halloween boxes look so interesting. 🍄🦋🏰🧙♀️🧚♀️

Turns out there isn't a gnome emjoi 😆 but a wizard is close enough. Thank you so much for watching
I’d make a Juniper Cowl with the Halloween minis. I know cowls aren’t your thing but I can’t see past it! 😂 🍄🍄🍄
Ooh I've not seen that pattern before, looks lovely though!

Yeah, I think I'm leaning towards a top of some kind!
How about stripped leggings (Steve West marled, but striped) using pebble for the additional yarn requirement. 🧙♂️
I reckon they'd be super fun to knit but I'm not sure it's something I'd ever wear myself ❤️
🎣 as Gnomes love to fish xxx
Perfect ❤️
ooh, very much looking forward to those halloween yarns. Just gotta decide which option to go with heh

The gnomes are all patterns by Imagined Landscapes, you can find them on Ravelry.com
🍄🍄🍄
🧣🪴 I'm doing a scarf and a fern, because I'm pretty sure the tiny scarf is evidence that gnomes are living in my houseplants.
I can't believe there's no gnome emoji 🙈

I'll have to go and have a look, thank you
Funnily Kay is making another similar one and talks about it in their latest podcast. I was mistaken there isn’t a pattern yet but I think Kay is releasing one soon.

For the Wednesday set, twist cardigan by ambah o Brian?
Oh thank you, I'll look it uo
