If I may put in my two cents, please please do more knitting/fibre podcasts. I really enjoy your point of view. Besides we cant let the young folks have all the fun - its nice to encounter someone with a little "mileage" and life experience.

There is a legend from Middle Eastern rug makers that they always deliberately put a mistake into each rug they make in order to not offend God by aspiring to perfection. I definitely follow that guideline with every single thing that I knit! 😀

July 10, 2024.... Sally from Portland, Oregon, US. Hi, Denni (Denise?), watched you this morning on one of my favorite podcasts, Junction Fiber Mill millcast. Really enjoyed your interview! So, found your podcast episode one. Loved every minute, all of it, you have a new convert here! Can't wait to hear more about your mill, too. Thank you for the time you spent with us, Sally

I’ve just tripped over your podcast, possibly because TH-cam knows we both watch Flossi. I love your makes, the natural yarn you choose and your aesthetic! I’m a touch older than you, and can you believe that I had a midwife back 30 years ago (although she wasn’t permitted to be other than a birth coach once we arrived at the hospital. Certification of midwives occurred about 10 months later where I live)…and now my daughter has the same midwife for her births! Keep up the good work. You did marvellously on your first episode. Well done!

Greetings from what we, in the winter call, Freeze Dried Minnesota! You are a delight! I am looking forward to joining you as you learn new talents, get your mill up and running, spin more yarn and who knows what else! I just got a Saxony spinning wheel that belonged to a friend's mom a few weeks ago. The wheel was in an attic for decades and is teaching me all sorts of things, from patience, to laughing at my "art yarns", to joy when I get a long run of an even spin, and more. Thank you for taking the time to share all of your wooly kindness with us. Cheers and hugs from Fern in Minnesota.

Hello from Kansas, right in the middle of the United States! I enjoyed your 1st podcast, hope to see more.... you are easy to listen to, you seem to speak from your heart, not a slick script. I, too, enjoy Fruity Knitting... i also enjoy The Last Homely House by Kate Jackson in northern England, and would recommend it to you. She was also a midwife many years ago but doesnt talk much about it. She mostly quilts, but also knits, spins, cooks, gardens, and loves her cats and a goose. She basically does everything, and her delivery is so gentle and heartfelt. Hope to see another episode from you soon!

Check out Schoolhouse Press, they carry the Iceland unspun wool. It may be cheaper for you to ship. They carry many colors and I get the huge log. I "think" there are 12 disc's in each, maybe more. Very reasonably priced. If you have questions just email or call them. Hello from Colorado, looking forward to seeing you spin, and your new adventures in the mill. Congratulations!!!!

Great to find a new kiwi knitting podcast. I live on the Kapiti coast. I was born in Australia, but moved here 12 years ago with my hubby and our 3 dogs. I love NZ. I was so excited for you when you mentioned buying a mill. I agree with your thoughts about unspun yarn. I have some plotulopi and hope to knit the Forager by Melody Hoffman. I believe Nutiden is quite difficult to aquire ... Lucky you! The setting of your home looks idyllic. Looking forward to the next episode. Please don't worry about making a slick podcast.
