You can add my unreliable self-reporting to the list. I'm 66, and haven't felt this good since I was in my 20s. I've lost a lot of weight, and multiple health issues have resolved. Keto since Dec '19, carnivore since Dec '20.
Maybe the meat has caused so much damage that you only think that you have lost weight and improved your health. Your feeling so good is probably due to degraded perception. I recommend a balanced diet where you balance lots of carbs with lots of insulin per the standard medical advice! I am in the same boat as you - fooling my self by wearing smaller clothes and getting better blood numbers. My trig/HDL ratio is 0.7 so I have fooled LabCorp too! Congratulations to you, and may the meat continue to kill us both.
I'm 65, and "peer-reviewed" studies and "expert" opinions couldn't interest me less. After decades of being vegetarian, I went carnivore 2 years ago and would never go back to a plant-based diet. I clearly thrive on meat, and I resolved 2 chronic skin conditions that 3 doctors told me weren't curable, only "manageable." I listen to only one thing now: my body. It's very wise. 😉
@@tootstoyou1 Well, I understand the ethical reasons for being vegetarian or vegan, but I've made my peace with eating animals because I believe it's the healthiest human diet. Everything eats something else. Such is life. I do wish animals grazed freely and ate their natural diet before we ate them though. We need to do better, much better.
@@TerriblePerfection Again, I have over time reached the same conclusions. Eat real food. It’s natural for man to eat meat. I buy it from small vendors/farmers who sell locally in farmers markets. It looks very different than what is offered in American supermarkets, and certainly tastes better! I live in Mexico btw.

I’ve been carnivore since November 2018. Down 210lbs! Got off all antidepressants and no medications at all! Literally no reason to stop. I’ve been obese my whole life and finally in my 30s I have energy and my body doesn’t hurt!

I was diagnosed with stage 1 Leukemia a year ago, so when I learned about Carnivore, my main motivation is to starve my cancer cells of carbs/sugar so I can hopefully delay treatments. We'll see. @@Rob__James Thanks for asking. Had my last PET body scan and bloodwork Feb 16. Happy to report that my white blood cell counts have slowed down. My Dr used the term stabilized!!! No treatments needed yet! The counts had been jumping up 20 to 30 points historically every 3 months, but since the last few months, only went up .2!! I've also lost a total of 35 lbs so far since Nov. Weightloss seems slow but it's steady. Carnivore is definitely the way to go for me. Hope you are well.
I’m a 77 yo woman who has arthritis in spine. Had knee pain. I was only 25# overweight and have shrunk from my original height of 5’2” to 4’11”! I started sugar free Jan 27 and carnivore Feb 7. As of today, I’ve lost 10+#! I don’t care about studies. Im pain free, fell better than ever (knee pain was gone in 3 days), and my 82 yo husband and I managed to mow our lawn recently without hiring someone. NOT a riding mower, but a self propelled walking mower. Talk about feeling proud and happy!!!
My son is in medical school (MD school) in the northeast and is on the carnivore diet eating just 2 meals a day but with some added fruit. He keeps up with the research and wants to help change conventional medicine and it's current approach which has made millions of people sick and die early.
Good for him! Most doctors are just legal drug pushers. Imagine a doctor who tried to keep you OUT of his/her office by offering real nutritional advice.

@Sub R0cky Hold on. The meat thing makes sense because we are wired to it since primveral times. My gut feeling always told me to eat more meat because i dont really eat alot of it. I have anxiety problems too and also iron lack. So i will give this a try. Not a diet but just eating more (good) meat.

I'm now 25 I still have anxiety and rarely have a panic attack and if I do it's because I smoked some weed or something. Eating a high protein diet does help a lot with everything besides the anxiety.
I have been carnivore/omad for 3 years now, and i still feel great! I lost 50lbs, put my pre-diabetes in remission, lower blood pressure, and my cystic back acne cleared up! This way of eating is the real deal!

Keto from 2011, carnivore from Aug. 2018. Gone: diabetes 2, gout, arthritis, hight blood pressure, 30 kg, depression, brain fog, fatty liver, no mediacation, feeling great and healthy.
I'm 73 years old. Two and a half years ago I weighed 258 pounds, had high blood pressure, was pre-diabetic, had severe acid reflux, and rashes would break out on my legs and back every couple of months. I was so out of shape I was unable to walk up to my third floor apt without being completely winded. (I live in France and our building does not have an elevator). Finally, my doctor told to change my life style or I'd be dead in 4 or 5 years. So, I spent a few months doing research and I decided go on the Keto diet. After 6 months on Keto my weight dropped to 212, my blood pressure improved (but it was still higher than I wanted it to be), my acid reflux went away, and I was no longer pre-diabetic. However, the rashes on my legs and back continued to drive me crazy. Then a friend told me about Carnivore so I decided to give it a try. It was pretty easy to go from Keto to Carnivore because I'd already cut carbs from my diet completely. For the past 2 years my heath has steadily improved... I now weigh 168 pounds, the rashes are gone, and my blood pressure is normal, and my gums stopped bleeding. All I can say is that it has worked wonders for me.
I have Hashimotos, for 30+ years my lymph nodes have been swollen and painful. 2 mo into carnivore and no more swollen lymph nodes. Nothing hurts,my gums don't bleed anymore. I have strength again, my joints don't hurt. I can walk the trash can up my long driveway and not feel the need to stop and cry from sheer exhaustion and muscles burning. I no longer have heart palpitations. I sleep well at night and have even started dreaming again. Imagine that...dreaming! I don't miss a single thing, I don't feel deprived and no longer feel as though I am starving all the time. At 63 I was just ready for it all to be over. Not any more. I think I will just hang around for awhile.
Carnivore literally saved my life. Started 2 years ago. I had so many health problems I felt like I was rotting from head to toe. Now everything is gone or on its way out. Praise God I found this way of eating when I did🙏🏼🥩♥️

Do you know that if you have certain high blood pressure problems etc and take all take statins and blood pressure lowering medications it will extend your life by like 3 days? And that is with living despite all the side effects of the medications. Just sayin. Eating a 95% carnivore diet for upwards of a year now. Love it. Was 85 kilos before, 64 kilos as I write this. 60 years old and I can do 55 pushups any time. Easy. 150 leg raises, easy. 35 squats, not a problem. Wim Hof breathing techniques help a lot. The carnivore diet's got my vote. 👍
@oldschoolpk Eliminating carbs is about optimal health,...allowing the body to function as it should...naturally. So if you have too much stored fat you will lose the excess. If you don't have enough, your body will store some. Nature is awesome! Humans have just lost touch with it is all. Eating an animal-based diet is just getting back into harmony with nature. 🥩🍳🥓💪💖
I’m 78 and I eat real food (meat, fish, eggs and dairy). I avoid processed food and have been low carb for over 5 years. I’ve lost 22 pounds over that time and I’ve never felt better.
@@davidrodgers4760 you can try taking probiotics to help with that problem. I like to use hyperbiotics. They have multiple strains and is time released so it actual makes it to your gut.
Keto since 2009 and carnivore since 2013. Keto improved my seizure disorder but going all the way carnivore has cured it completely. Migraines and achy knees are also gone along with 60 extra lbs. Back to HS weight and size at 60
In my n=1, I went from a 'healthy' low fat high whole grain, mostly plant based whole food diet. I was within the correct weight for my height. I thought I was healthy, but I had high blood pressure and then found I had severe gum disease and my dentist wanted to remove most of my back teeth. Research lead me to the low carb diet so I changed overnight and made a goal to keep my teeth and prove my dentist wrong. Wow, what a rabbit hole I fell down. 2 years later, I now eat a ketovore diet (95% carnivore with a few extras like avocado, olives). I have normal blood pressure, no gum disease, my lifelong acne has gone, arthritis gone, excess fat gone (I'm now at the bottom of the ideal weight for my height, not the top), skin looks amazing, no longer get sunburn, skin tags fell off, IBS gone, gas and bloating gone. Oh, and I kept my teeth...

I’m in very good shape. I ride bmx at a competitive level. I go to the gym 4 times a week and eat decently. I do have a bit of roll in the tummy area. It doesn’t make sense considering the cardio I do and the lifting on top of that. I’m going to try this carnivore thing.
@@crubrutockcsgono he’s not showing signs of anemia. gluconeogenesis = your body can make glucose from fat. Beef has every amino acid and mineral needed for our own bodies to build what’s needed. Fiber not needed. No one carnivores is constipated. Most of the nutrients in plants are not bioavailable to humans. We don’t have the stomachs like cows, sheep and goats do. No scurvy. Plants are not needed and if you choose to eat them I’d suggest you keep a food journal and really see patterns.

I was one of those 'unreliable' self-reporters. No more joint pain in my knees, no more acid reflux, no more IBS issues, no more psoriasis, no more bleeding gums, improved mental health, lowered blood pressure. None of this was because of weight loss- I stayed the same ~190lbs at 6'1".
@@Rob__James partial relief within a few days of going keto. Almost total relief within a month. Then went carnivore as I just couldn't shift the IBS issues and last bit of psoriasis on keto.
@@bruce350 wow thats amazing👏 I have been struggling with acid reflux & other digestive issues for years so will be giving the carnivore diet a try. Although I read that acid reflux is from too little stomach acid so the LES valve doesn't close which is how acid ends up in the oesophagus etc. Because protein & fat is hard to digest, when you have low stomach acid it makes it harder to digest so eating a high protein, high fat diet should put extra strain on your digestion yet so many people are seeing such positive results with reflux & other digestive issues by being on the carnivore diet. I'm still going to try it though.

@@Rob__James I've had reflux for DECADES. Keto reduced it slightly, carnivore stopped it. Ad in screeeeeech...over. if you're worried take digestive enzymes when you eat. Salt everything and take some chelated magnesium (ends in "ate") preferable glycinate or malate. Some get diarrhea at first. Some get a little constipated. Should work itself out in a couple wedks.

But if you say things like "This is a study that used the lowest quality of evidence" to an audience that is already wary or certain that eating meat is bad for everyone, that is the only thing they will remember because it reinforces what they already believe. You might also have mentioned that the other thousand studies that Dr. Ludwig did for years also used low quality evidence, epidemiology, food questionaires, etc. . You might also say that the people eating those diets also never seemed to get well or lose their obesity, like the carnivores are doing. I am biased of course because I have been a low carber for a decade or two and a carnivore for the last 3 years and doing great. Again, I know you are trying to be as accurate as possible in what you say and as a physican you will be crucified if you go against conventional wisdom and current medical doctrine or dogma I just think the way you presented things will convince no one to become a carnivore. P.S. Saying there has been only one study vs thousands for conventual wisdom also will make readers disbelievers. Average reader has no iidea how corrup and misguided things have really been in the diet reesearch busineess for years and years.
Being sick for 5 years, tried everything, nothing worked.. 30 doctors couldn't solve it. Severe depression, CFS, belly and chest pain. Tried reducing meat, tried vegetarianism.. Nope, nope.. But 3 days in carnivore, wow.. Energy levels went up, just a liiiiiittle bit, but enough to get me motivated. In 7 weeks, 80% of my symptoms were gone. This is unbelievable. I'm 12 weeks now and had to change a bit to continue improving, so I'm following PKD protocol from Zsofia Clemens, basically eating less (400g a day), 2:1 fat protein ratio (100g meat to 35g fat) and geez, in 4 days the magic is happening. Food IS medicine. Give it a try (a LOTS of research!!!)
how do you afford it? cheap hamburger is over $10 a pound here. Forget steaks. Who can afford $22 a pound because it isn't me. We are talking $20 to $30 a day.

The carnivore diet isn't just meat. It includes eggs and dairy. As for the meat, it's not just steak, either. It includes a variety including fish, poultry and other ruminants. As for ruminants, there are "nose to tail" proponents as well. Some think that's the only legitimate way.
Agree. Although some might take exception to dairy as truly carnivore. Perhaps raw milk. The purists go for the "Lion Diet" which, I believe, is just salt and beef.

@@jrs3012 We're mammals, perfectly suited to drinking milk. The only evolutionary adaptations we needed was to keep our milk tolerance past infancy and adapt to drinking another species' milk. While these adaptations are by no means global (most humans are intolerant), many populations tolerate dairy just fine, and for us it's fantastic.

I used to be on fructarian/ vegetarian/vegan diets... it solved nothing I told my doctor she said that I probably ate too much blabla or that I wasn't eating the right thing. I was really annoyed. So i gave this diet a try, i was desperate. Couldn't lose weight, couldn't sleep and felt horrible. 3 weeks on carnivore and i sleep better, the dry skin on my feet and hands are slowly vanishing/ the tingling sensation is gone. I lost 5pounds. For the first time in 2 years, i feel like there is hope. my bp even dropped a little. However there is sitll much to do. My doctor told me the carnivore diet was a bad idea. Then? How come things are happening? improving? she said it was in my head. She literally lectured me on animal morality and vegetarian studies.. the benefits of vitamins and blalba. I said sure, i agree however this is working and what you told me hadn't. so what? should I follow the results or keep doing something I had already tried over and over again. I asked her so what? @@airshipassassin I think a lot of them DO want us healthy, they just only know what they've been taught in medical school (which probably doesn't teach them things that will make us healthy). The ones you see who are telling us the truth as much as they know it are the ones who are independent thinkers and who continue to study and research and learn AFTER medical school. Doctors don't do research much for themselves anymore. They take what the WHO says as gold and don't ask questions. Also, doctors make money on sick people, not healthy people.

Vegans (people not eating animals), are commonly deficient in B12, which leads to severe problems, and even death, down the road. If you are vegan you NEED to eat B12 supplements. P.S. @@Beogradoholikeverything our bodies need including glucose can be made from eating beef or other rudiments. WE can not digest plants to pull those nutrients into our bodies. Cows and sheep and goats have multiple chamber stomachs that CAN digest or make bioavailability. Beef has every amino acid and B vitamin we need in the correct balance and ratio.
My wife of 61 and I have been on the Carnivor Diet for just less than a month now and we have nothing but praise for the process. Both losing weight, pain levels down 90%, skin improving, wifes hair stopped falling out, she is having almost no headaches and migranes anymore, I've seen psychological improvements and more... I was in the pinnacle of my health in 2014-2015. 50 yrs old, 100 push ups a day. I just finished bike touring the entire Pacific coast, 2300 miles from Canada to Mexico border. 8% body fat, 29" waist, 6 pack abs, omnivore/Asian diet. Talked into being vegan to 'preserve' my health and well-being. 2 years of this resulted first in arthritis, then developed Lupus, followed by Hashimoto's. I couldn't ride a bike any longer, struggled to drive my car. bone loss, muscle mass loss, nerve and eyesight impairment, skin peeling, hair loss, tremors, twitches and cramps, night blindness, joint pain all over my body, tinnitus 24/7. This lasted for 5 years! Dumbfounded as to why....since I was on the most healthy diet possible claimed doctors, and vegans. Up to now, I stopped eating beef for over a decade, even before becoming vegan. Even though I was shrinking in stature and muscle mass, I had gained a lot of visceral fat, my waist ballooned to 37" on what seemed like normal portions. No sugary foods or soft drinks, no fruit juices. Had all kinds of bloating, gas, gut pains and terrible constipation. In 2022 this Jan. I discovered Mikhaila Peterson's TEDx video about her Beef diet that cured her of chronic autoimmune disorder. I had nothing to lose. I once again ate beef in my diet. I ate a lot of eggs and fatty cheeses too. Cooked with coconut oil, and beef tallow. Eliminated all Omega-6 vegetable oils. I still incorporated carbs and starches, ie. potato, rice, pasta, and some breads. Avoided all refined/processed carbs and products. No fruits, no sugar, but some ice cream during the Summer. No chicken or pork. The beef only meat diet transformed me. Hair grew thick, skin improved, no more arthritis, or any joint pains, no constipation! No gut issues of any kind. I wasn't feeling like I was always hungry anymore. In 3 months, I dropped so much visceral fat that I can see and feel the change, and was a 32" waist. Dropped 5" in 3 months. I was astonished. No exercise or physical activity throughout this period, as the autoimmune disorder robbed me of my ability. As an experiment, I substituted to an all pork diet and no beef/eggs/cheese for 6 weeks. I immediately noticed weight gain of 2" to my waist. I was still eating pasta, rice, like before. Very unexpected results. I am now preparing to return to beef, eggs, cheese, butter. I've gone through the entire spectrum, and I'm now convinced and swear by the carnivore diet. It can be modified once you've reached a good point of health. But heed my warning, don't fall for the Cult of Veganism. It's a scientific dead end, and will wreck your health in the long run.
I‘m since December 6, 2019 Carnivore cause I‘m carb intolerant. Ok I don‘t eat only meat but also eggs, fish, seafood except for mollusks cause I had a slight bit of an allergic reaction when I ate scallops, dairy (aged cheese mostly from goats, Greek yoghurt, raw heavy cream, butter and plain quark). The only fruits and nuts I can tolerate are avocados, olives and macadamia nuts cause those are mostly fatty. I also can add mushrooms but mostly I buy fatty beef soup meat aka sirloin cap, short ribs, shank with marrow bone or meaty bones. I eat game and when I get Iberico pork from free roaming pigs from Spain. I lost so far 41.6+ kilogram, increased my kidney function from 45% in 2019 to 70% this year. I reversed a NAFL, got off my diabetes drugs (former T2D), cut 9 out of 10 prescription drugs. My allergies are in remission. When I started I fit into a size 26 jeans but this was a very tight fit means I was almost size 28 now I fit into a size 10 jeans a very loose fit means I need to buy a size 9 soon. I have more energy and I can fast without getting hungry for 24 hours, I‘m mostly OMAD sometimes I eat 2MAD and those are my cheat days. The fruits and nuts I mentioned are consumed maybe once every 3 months at one or two days cause I almost have to regret it cause I get constipated from the fiber. My doc says I‘m healthier now then I was when she met me 15 years ago. I did it without her advice and she was first shocked but now she is stunned about the results. I also was 16 days after I started Carnivore pain free for the first time in 38 years, I lived with chronic pain in my whole body (muscles, tissues, joints) until December 22, 2019 and the doc‘s couldn’t find the cause but asap I cut out all processed foods, sugars, carbs (starches, fruits, veggies and grains and grain byproducts) and plant seed oils and started eating animal products and fats my pain was gone and is still gone. I do meal prepping on the weekend for the upcoming week so I have a lot of time I use for walks, exercise, weight and HIIT training and relaxing.
I have been on the carnivore diet for over a year now and have lost 68 pounds in the first 8 months. Eating almost only meat (ribeye's, chicken, pork, seafood), small amounts of some cheeses, and loads of eggs and bacon. I had blood test before I started, and my HDL and LDL were near the upper range and only got better after I started the diet. Cholesterol is perfect also. Now that I am at my goal weight, I have added a couple of low carb vegi's and some nuts and berries once in a while. After the eighth week, I had to stop taking my blood pressure pills because my BP was going too low if I took them. I have way more energy, sleep better, feel better, less brain fog, and eat way less because I do not feel hungry because the "bad fat" satiates your hunger and gives you fuel. I am 55 and feel like a beast again.
We healed my husbands thighs's deep wound from his broken femur in 10 weeks, put the diabetes into remission and brought his blood pressure back to normal. And are still on metformin as an added measure to 100% improve glucose levels because he also has an eye globe laceration and corneal displacement because of the same accident that broke his femur. ..fyi..he also has visible damage from his blood pressure and diabetes in the back of the eye but we do not know when it happened because he was injected with insulin at the hospital because glucose level reach 800+ mmlr. Fyi he has continued to improve and even the visible damage in the eye has reversed on carnivore with beef, bacon butter and eggs
After having a heart bypass and discovering I was type 2 diabetic (11.2 A1C) I spent 4-5 months eating fairly "healthy" but nothing specific. Went vegan for a year and it fixed nothing. fatty liver remained. My A1C remained at 6.3 which I had gotten it down to with diet and meds. Still needed bp meds and my heart's ejection fraction remained at 37%. I did a complete reverse and went carnivore and in 9 months my fatty liver was gone, bp meds were gone, A1C was 5.2 with no meds and my hearts ejection fraction was raised to 48%My trigs are 44 and HDL is 84, I ignore total and LDL cholesterol. Since then an echo has said my 20% blockage of the carotids is also gone. Carnivore for the rest of my life.

After the bypass I was on statins for about a year and aspirin as well. that first couple of years after the bypass was a huge learning curve for me that basically began when the ADA nutritionist was insisting that as a diabetic I had to eat the carb equivalent of 40 teaspoons of sugar a day (160 carbs)

Push back lol Its a complete joke of a study if its the self reported "social media survey". I mean the carnivore fad diet promoters won't even entertain meta-analysis of numerous human RCT's showing various plant foods to have health benefits or be healthy. Yet they put all their stock in a self reported "social media survey" from arguably the worlds most bias cult fans since the vegans. Having debated with carnivore fad diet promoter who have outright lied straight to my face claiming they were "100% strict carnivore for years" and after 2 seconds of weedling it out they had cheated with half a dozen plant-foods in the past year alone. I wouldn't believe these carnivores if they told me it was raining outside, I'd still want to double check. Any "benefit" from weight loss to bloating reduction has a logical explanation.
I switched to a carnivore way of eating 4 years ago after years of eating a heavily plant based diet and sometimes vegetarian. I also fell for the low fat lies. I’m 64 now and with carnivore have reversed leaky gut, autoimmune issues migraines, uti’s and joint pain. I no longer have the yo-yo weight gains. I eat until I’m full and my weight stays constant without having to go hungry or restrict calories. Carnivore is amazing. For me it’s been life changing! Thank you for your informative videos! I'm really bad with my organ meat... they taste horrible to me... I can squeeze by a heart, which isn't technically an organ... brain, kidneys, tripes, stomach... but never ask me to eat a liver or other weird stuff minimally processed... I can do liverwurst though... or blend foie gras mixed with butter and some spices to top a steak with it... (learned this one when I was a cook)
I love organ meats -- those meats are not shooting up in price like other meats. I eat liver at least a few times a week. My hemoglobin levels are at a very healthy 16.
@@AlbertoMontesSoto You might find that with lamb liver, if you cut it up very thin and cook it with bacon fried really frizzy, maybe a touch of onion as well if you're not afraid of it. It really isn't too bad.

I have been carnivore before it was a diet. I have never been healthier. I reversed endometriosis and excema. I have a reaction to vegetables so do not touch them.

@@eni3995 nose to tail carnivore is healthy. It is not toxic. Diet is subjective for everyone. If toxic plants work for you enjoy it, eventually you will start eating meat because of the nutritional deficiencies. Explain why a ton a vegans are now carnivore.

Some vegetables that come from the nightshade family can be a trigger for some people but that still doesn't take away the fact that a lot of vegetables have benefits especially when it comes to gut health and diversity. You might want to look at what Dr Rhonda Patrick (she isn't vegan or vegetarian for the record) has to say about the Carnivore diet before you start using the word "toxic" to describe vegetables.
I’m 66 too and have had exactly the same experience. IBS gone, 54 lbs. gone, tiredness gone, brain clarity up, depression and moodiness gone, skin soft and rashes gone, and energy levels through the roof. I wouldn’t believe it unless I experienced it. Plaque buildup almost none. Don’t sunburn anymore. Actually looking ripped and have a lot of strength without much exercise, other than I’ve become so active because I have so much energy.
I counted my macros and micronutrients, ate complex carbs, veggies, olive oil, fruits, poultry, like you're suggested to do by so called experts. I became noticeably more depressed, anxious and I felt overall weak. When I switched to a meat only diet, admittedly I had minor GI problems for about a week or two but once I got over that bump, I noticed insane benefits. My hair and skin started looking amazing, I started losing a small amount of stubborn fat without trying my cals at all but most importantly for me was that the constant veil of depression started to go away. Amino acids from protein are the precursor to dopamine and serotonin + fat is vital for proper hormone functioning. Also as a side note, I had C diff before I switched to carnivore and tried a few rounds of antibiotics that didn't help - I thought I'd just have to deal with it or do FMT. Carnivore fixed it. Meat heals. You can find every important nutrient in meat, including Vitamin C, in organ meats. Saturated fat does not cause heart disease and is important for hormones, look up meta analysis studies, don't just believe my words! Anyone reading should try carnivore without a doubt, intuitively when one thinks about it, if we didn't have society coddling us and had to hunt for our food, what would you be eating? Would you spend all day scavenging for kale? Or would you be eating meat? There's a reason you'd be picking the latter!!
@@wherecanwestart Hi. I've been high-fat carnivore for the last 8 months. I don't really take vitamins, I do electrolytes sometimes. I eat a lot of egg yolks which are full of vitamins too. I don't eat liver. 🤢 It's been an awesome journey so far.
Yup because we are wired to this food since primveral times. It makes sense to me and my gut feeling always told me to eat more meat than i usual do (i have iron lack). I will give this a try now but i already know that i will feel much better than before!
@@speedyllama8380not according to the carnivore experts. You get everything from meats. Organ meats as well, eg chicken livers, calves liver. The only issue is the transition from carbs to protein/fat. You feel terrible for a few days.
I’ve been on Carnivore diet since July 4th 2020 and I’ve lost 57 pounds and I have zero pain left in my back from a herniated L4L5 and Arthritis. I feel like I’m in my 20’s and I’m 44. My skin and liver issues have completely healed and I was on Cialis but my libido returned with a vengeance, I no longer need it! I never get bored and I eat all types of meat cheese and eggs. I also eat liver and drink bone broth.

Hello from Brazil. I followed the standart nutricional advice most of my life until my late 40s. Result: obesity, kidney stones, IBS. Takes some time to the damages of standart diet set in, but they always reach you. After decadse of pain and useless "expert" advices, I started keto by my own decision and got fast recovery. Lost 20kg in a year and the IBS got a lot better. But some of the recommended food of Keto are bad for the kidneys: nuts, especially almonds. Because of this decided to made the cleanest, oxalate free diet, which is a almost totally carnivore keto, and get even better: IBS vanished, and the kidneys are ok. l still eat some fiber, psyllium husk fiber and sauerkraut, only to avoid constipation. After some 5 months of near absolute carnivore diet Im feeling great, like never was in the last 30 years. The advice to avoid meat and saturated fat and eat carbs instead is a crime against humanity. What the food industry and his paid and bought researches are doing is genocide.
Being a horrible binge/stress eater for years, after one week with just meat had halted that want for carbs and I feel satiated so quickly. No more acid or stomach problems, more energy and down 20 pounds. It's been 19 days and I've even cheated with ice cream. I love this diet!
I have been eating meat and animal products only since August 2020. Lost about 15 lbs. (Now 164 lbs at 5'10", and gained muscle weight, at about 18% fat). Reversed chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, sinusitis, reduced insulin by more than half (type 1 diabetes), arthritis went away, lots of energy, i can tolerate heat and sun well, tan easily without burning, body odor has gone away (no deodorant), hair is thickening on head as well as the rest of my body, nails are stronger, teeth are healthier, no more gingivitis, better focus, mental clarity, improved confidence, less irritability, calm, and much more. Of course this is n=1, but if you add all the n=1 together, you get a significant sampling. Of course this is self-reporting, but clearly eating mostly beef and salt has totally transformed my life. At 59, i am healthier than when i was 29! I am not saying that everyone needs to eat meat only, but dont be afraid to eat significantly more ruminate meat, cut out deadly seed (vegetable) oils, nuts, seeds (including soy), sugar, high-oxalate foods, processed foods, and eat plenty of saturated animal fat - there is no proof that it is bad for you.
I discovered Keto in Dec last year when I was 136kg - on high blood pressure, high cholesterol, metformin meds and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for almost 15 years. In Feb this year, I chose to go mostly carnivore after having issues with fibre in the veges I was eating. To date I have lost over 40kg, put my diabetes into remission, stopped taking all meds and have never felt better. I turned 60 last month, and can't recall the last time I was this size or felt this good. I am now size 97 waist, 2XL in shirts and have dropped a shoe size. My doctor doesn't really approve of the method, but he cannot argue against the results. Only one he doesn't like is my cholesterol (which is high), but I have convinced him to do a HDL/LDL comparison on the next test. I'm betting that the HDL will be greatly improved. My diet these days consists of beef, pork, chicken, bacon, eggs, cheese, butter, cream, black coffee and water. I only cook in ghee or butter. Wife won't let me use lard or tallow, but she is slowly coming around to the LCHF idea as it helps her inflammation.
@@Moyopheus Vegetables can be inflammatory to some people and they do best on strict carnivore diet. I've also know people who go full carnivore because they don't know what is irritating their system and once they've controlled that inflammation with their diet, they can slowly add one thing at a time to their diet (two weeks trying each new item) and expand their diet back to include more things and eliminate anything that starts to show inflammation or illness.
Thank you for your presentation. I am an 82 year old woman in good general health. For the first time in my life I have been prescribed a long term medication, this was for a slight, but consistent elevation in blood pressure. Tiredness seemed to be a chronic “partner”, which I had not experienced previously. The Carnivore diet came into view. I researched it as well as information was available. As you stated, this was scant. My family was adamant that I not, at my age, do anything so drastic, especially, since for 40 years to date, meat, eggs, butter, whole milk have been considered “death by a thousand cuts”! But, something, after prayer, kept drawing me towards the experience. Organ meat in the form of liver was my first real risky addition, after a few days of dialing back carbohydrates. Almost immediately, tiredness subsided. While I’m proceeding cautiously, so far, energy has increased, bloating and irregularity has decreased. Now, I want my doctor to monitor results over the long term. I still don’t find “one if a kind”! panaceas credible. Every wind, or breeze of “this is it” feeds our penchant for the search for fountains of youth, and Shangri-La. But, this way of eating seems to hold some real benefits. After time, if necessary, it seems prudent to begin to re-introduce some small serving of plants and grains. We shall see. After all, the meat we do eat is almost entirely from “vegan” animals. They just pre-process plants for us…😅
@@mryan4452 My gut feeling (pun unintended) is that carnivore is best for athletic performance, but meat plus nutrient dense vegetables is good for longevity as you get more antioxidants. Ideally you'd eat meat with a lot of antioxidants in it because the animal grazed on antioxidant rich plant matter, but not everyone can afford to eat 100% grassfed beef/bison/etc. right now. And if we all did, then we wouldn't, because the price would raise so much.
In retrospect, doing a well done carnivore study would be great. In the past looking at how meat and saturated fat affected health it was always done in the environment of high carb diets which we know drastically changes the outcome. If meat and saturated fat are so bad for us, a well done study should be showing people dropping like flies on a hot window sill, bring it on!

carnivore for a year, and mostly carnivore for 3. Meat, eggs, and I do include butter, as I have no negative effects from it. I have stopped all my hot flashes from menopause, lost the belly fat I started to gain from menopause, have significantly improved my sleep, mental clarity, steady energy levels (even when I miss a meal) and increased lean mass with an accompanying decrease in body fat. Got rid of my migraines as well. My triglycerides are crazy low, and my HDL doubled. It certainly works for me.
As a senior women my tolerance for vegetables is getting worse. Eating veg kills my stomach. In desperation I have introduced more and more carnivore days. I feel best on those days. I am 70 years old. I am anxious to see how the science plays out. Thank you for considering this subject.

When I stopped eating veg everyday, the arthritic pains I still had went away. I never have to take a pain reducer anymore. I started dropping veg out of the inability to get them when the pandimic hit and noticed within a week or so my shoulder stopped hurting. Then veg was available again and my shoulder starting hurting again. So I for the most part have cut it out.

But I, too, am 73 & have had to eliminate most of the "healthy" veg n starches that made up my previous nearly vegan diet. The short version of my story is that chronic arthritis-like pain in my feet, then spreading to my arms & shoulders, drew me to the book "The Plant Paradox" last year, after which I discovered I am very sensitive to lectins in plants. And since then, I have had to eliminate several other plants as well, & am now nearly pain free! I say nearly bcz I had some fresh dates w my 99% dark chocolate last night & am regretting it today, lol. But I have had some pain free days. I am just still in the food-testing phase. Happily, this week I finally established that tho' I can't eat cruciferous veggies raw, I CAN eat some of them cooked. So that's a big hooray, bcz I love broccoli & kale! But no, Sarah, you are definitely NOT the only 73 yr old w a problem w plants, lol. And fortunately for us, info coming out of recent books on the latest longevity research are saying that altho' a low protein diet is linked to longevity during the years from child-bearing & rearing through about 65, that after 65, our need for protein again goes up & gradually increases as we age, to assist w maintaining important muscle mass, etc. (Resistance training is also key!) So it seems we have stumbled just in time onto what we need most anyway!
Lol! I'm also 70. I believe carnivore is great. I've read a ton of research that points to it being beneficial to preventing all kinds of issues of older folks like me and you. I.E.: Macular Degeneration, Dementia, Alzheimer's... The fat is supposedly great for the brain.
I also like to consider the societies that have traditionally ate this way, like the Inuit and the Maasi. Those who remained on their traditional diets have remained in excellent health, it's only those who abandoned their traditional diets.
I wonder about this because the Indian traditional diet is pretty high in carbs. Plenty of whole food sources, fasting regime within our various religions, and less reliance on cars could have helped maintain health

Okinowans eat a high carb diet to 85% of there days calories comes from unprocessed carbs, theyre known to be some of the longest living people on earth. One thing that seems to get overlooked is what the various effective diets have in common. Eliminating from diet all the processed foods AND industrial seed oils. This results in reducing systemic inflammation and bingo,, good things happen. Obviously animal protein / fat based takes all out of equation, which I think is why it’s reset button for most who can sustain it
I agree with what you’re saying and you’ve proven it with close monitoring. One aspect is the idea of maximum effectiveness vs whats sustainable. It’s like the 80/20 rule that Mark Sisson promotes. It applies to many things in life. Humans have tendency to throw out an entire protocol if it can be perfect. So instead each person needs to find what’s sustainable for them. It’s much like working out in this way. Sure one can get massively strong lifting 3-5 rep range…but what’s it really worth if it isn’t sustainable for that persons motivation or risk factor? Obviously folks vary greatly when it comes to this. For instance, for me the thought of eating vegan full time sounds awful. And carnivore makes many others have that same cringe same reaction. So I’d say If you’re among the small percentage of people who can eat an all meat diet, never to have occasional olive / avocado … slice of pizza / cake at your kids bday party…and you can sustain that years on end then count yourself as lucky. No doubt you’ll reap maximum benefits
@@davidrodgers4760 Maybe add some fibre into your diet? It can be supplements or just something you liked that was super rich in fibre that's still generally healthy compared to junk food. Generally speaking diet changes is not a universal good/bad depending on the individual. It may be worth just trying to add a little of something else, to see if it fixes it.
Did strict carnivore for 5 months straight back in 19 after being keto for 6 years. I used to get eczema every time gluten got into my system. Haven’t had it since!
I'm 73 and carnivor and will never go back to eating any kind of plant food. I've got the body I had in boot camp at 21. I feel better than I've ever felt. I get my energy from healthy fat and no energy from sugar (carbohydrates).
I have been eating a "carnivore diet" since 2010. I didn't call it that back then because I didn't know many people that were doing this and I didn't think of it as "going on a diet". In fact, it was called "Zero Carb" (or just "ZC") before being labeled as "carnivore diet". I had a lot of health issues like epilepsy, obesity, and asthma. I read a book called "fat of the land" and it convinced me to give eating only meat a try. Before reading that book, I didn't even consider a change in my diet as a possible solution to my health issues but the book was so fascinating and it made me curious. If it helped then I was prepared to make it a permanent change because I would have done anything to feel better. I am still eating this way in 2021 for a reason. Just to clarify, this isn't a book that is trying to push some magical diet that will solve all of your problems. It's an anthropological book about primitive Inuit. I recommend it.
It's no longer called the zero carb diet because it turns out animal based foods also have carbs, like egg yolks, liver and other carnivore foods do so there is no such thing as a zero carb lifestyle but it's very lowcarb nevertheless
@@ClaudiaVejaImages Everyone that called it "zero carb" was aware that meat has small amounts of carbs. I believe it was Owsley Stanley that started using that name and even he made that clear. It's "close enough" to Zero Carb. And not just eggs, dairy, and offal. All meat has some carbs. Even a rib-eye although it is quite a small amount. So yeah, that isn't why we no longer use the word ZC. That was well known from the start. The reason why it changed to "Carnivore Diet" is because of Shawn Baker. He made this way of eating much more popular by going on Joe Rogan. Next thing you know we have all kinds of new diet names like PKD and "Lion Diet". Back around 2010 to 2015, only a few hundred or so of us were eating this way. We called it ZC but things change. I used to talk to Owsley and he said he called it ZC because he said the goal should be to eat as close to Zero Carbs as possible. I don't really agree with him that it's the most important thing but that's where the name came from.

Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story! So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet! Carnivore diet cured so much for me! * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals.And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands *No more cold body temp in general! Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But 9 months on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻 I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic! The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

The only serious down side experienced by me was diarrhea. and some constipation. I'm in a good place now; my bloodwork is much better, my overall health has improved. I exercise more and sleep better. I would suggest starting with low carb and making a slow transition to carnivore or something close. Please remember, the more metabolically unsound you are, the longer it will take, but, even at my age (68), blood markers improved quickly. Just stay with it. I'm glad I did.
I had the diarrhea at the beginning. I thought I was having constipation later on too, but I think it is just a low residue diet and most of what we eat is absorbed by the body. Kind of freaked me out at first but have seen multiple reputable sources suggesting there is not a lot of waste to get rid of on strict carnivore.

I’ve been carnivore for two years and am leaner than I was as an obese 10 year old and feel better at 34 than I did at 14. I have two kids but more energy and less pain.

@@johnnytsunami3558 they can build up in your kidneys because they can be challenging for some people to process. They will make you crave sweets though so the immediate effect is worse than any long term toxicity. In the long term, it might be better to avoid them because some people have reported MS conditions vanishing when they eliminate fake sugars. Theres no benign sweetener.
Been ultra low carb / carnivore for years. Cholesterol almost always near 300 total with a ldl hld ratio os around 10-12 (12x heart attack risk). Had a coronary calcium score done TODAY to check blockage of arteries. My score was 0. ZERO. Perfect. 90% of men my age have worse artery clogging. I literally have zero plaque or blockage on 1000 or more calories of pure fat per day every day for a decade.
I think it would be very interesting to do a side by side comparison on the benefits of Keto vs Carnivore diets/lifestyles! One point of interest would be ? any increase in colon cancer or pre cancerous polyps in the two groups. Also bone density comparisons and inflammatory markers in the two groups. HbA1C comparisons also. I am sure there are other things as well. Lots of meat for studies. But I doubt the Ag industry would subsidize it. Maybe the beef council? :)
Check out Dr. Shawn Baker, he’s the meat guru. I jump around from all meat some weeks to adding evening salads while keeping carbs very low. Never felt better at 55 years old.
Hopefully this study will prompt more thoughtful and detail research. Furthermore, getting more nuanced exploration into nose to tail eating, i.e. organ meats and not just muscle for the micro nutrients.
I started Carnivore August 3, 2019. Lost 40 pounds in 4 months and have been 165 pounds ever since. I'm 6 feet tall and 165 was my weight at the end of high school, so I'm happy with my weight. It fixed a lot of health issues, and it was just in time for the beginning of the pandemic! Good luck, not good management. Still.... It's a wonderful diet/lifestyle. Humans followed a carnivore diet for 300,000 years, then experimented with plants for the last 15,000 years. It's not a fad. The vegetable eaters are following the fad.

I like how you mention how this study (or whatever it's called) is not at all evidence of anything, really. The problem is just that this is true for so many (most, I would assume) studies but are usually perceived as some kind of evidence. I have done 3 months carnivore diet almost 2 years ago and I had big improvements on skin, gut, energy, mental clarity, mental health and so on. Now I am doing it again and the improvements are coming back, just as before. It takes a while (weeks, to a couple of months?) to get adapted to the fat metabolism to reach the same level of energy when working out and stuff. Of course, this is just another anecdote but the easiest thing is to try it yourself for months and you will see how it works out.
Indeed. On the energy level while working out you could try usibg a bit of MCT oil (C8 - C10) on a fasted state and the energy and power you get its like' jet fuel '... Try it :)

Carnivore is helping alot of people, including me. Down 40lbs in 6 months, energetic all the time, fixed my sleep patterns, up a 7am everyday, random pains in my body gone, (obviously inflammation triggers from a crap diet) ect. Thing is, if you're gonna commit...commit! Carnivore changes the gut microbiome and it will become less diverse in gut bacteria obviously because you're limiting your gut to primarily meat. If you go for so long on this diet (honestly lifestyle) and revert to old eating habits, it's like a train wreck for the gut. Don't fear tho, just get a well studied probiotic from a reputable company. I stress this cause the probiotic market is a Billion dollar market, and alot of companies just slap "probiotic" and a high cfu count on their label, so you can get crappy strains that won't help like they should. I've been follow Dr. William Davis for a while and he has loads of info on gut health and other useful information. Him and Dr. Berg made me fear wheat and grains too, in a good way tho. Healthy? Yes, I'd say so hands down. Also, ditching sugar helps a TON.
I've been on a keto diet for over 2 years now and it's working great for me. At times I'll go full carnivore though and I feel even better when I do it. There's no doubt in my mind it's one of the best ways of eating if not the best.
Started March of 2021 after reading The Carnivore Code. I didn’t want to do a diet where I was counting calories, carbs and portions. Combined with eating mostly a 20/4 (2-6pm) intermittent fasting schedule I’m down 56 pounds to 16.5% body fat at age 69. Still have all the energy I need in the gym, joint pain has resolved. After the first two months I added back in healthy salads and red wine. Such an easy way to go. No counting food groups and calories. The fat in the meat and from avocados, olives, etc. have kept me from having cravings. I think Carnivore works much like Keto by primarily keeping you away from cheap, useless carbs and sugar laden snacks.
I just started this Lion Diet :p Im about 2 weeks in. Heads up everyone! Carbohydrate and Sugar cravings are real. This is a no sugar diet and omg i feel like a pregnant woman whos craving a particular food. I literally eye ball bread and biscuits in my home and become hangry. Picture this for second. You just ate 2 steaks cooked in butter with some eggs... You want something sweet. You then spot the Oreo bisuits... Man oh man did i want to cug down a few of those bad boys. This diet aint easy. Its not just eat meat, "Zug Zug" said the cave man. Its alot of self control and discipline. No more sweet drinks, no croissants, no snacks, chips etc etc. I personally also choose not to eat any meat that was deep fried. Vegetable, peanut, canoloa oils are terrible for you!

I have been on this diet for 4 months now and I was worried it might not be healthy so I have gotten blood work every month. I was being prepared for a stroke and warned my triglycerides were 3188 sugar was or A1C was 9.1 and I was following my dietian orders correctly and taking tons of pills. Now my blood work is better then when I was 30 and I have the attention of the local hospitals on how I changed everything. Eating only animal products is bland boring and hard to maintain daily but my health keeps me going. My triglycerides now are 147 A1C is 5.1 blood pressure is 116/64 and I finally have vitamin D3 in my blood work results..

The only reason those of us who eat high fat/low carb diets are called weird or crazy is because big food companies have spent billions telling us that their food is better for us. If it has ingredients made by man, it's not good for you. period. Carbs are cheap, but that doesn't make them good for you., especially after being highly processed into something unrecognizable (like impossible meat). Stick to whole foods and low carb and you're likely to illuminate most of your health issues within months. Crazy. I had a typical high carb diet for 50 years. I've seen a huge change just in the first three months. I'm now 2 years in (ketovore) and I have the bloodwork of a 20 year old.

I told my husband I want to try this, but he's concerned about vitamins and nutrients. I have crohns, chronic anemia even needed blood transfusions, and I have a skin condition, I'm so tired of it. fruit has never agreed with me, veggies betray me constantly and carbs like bread and pasta are not filling. My doctor lied to me along the the NHS and the diet industry. I do intermittent fasting and usually eat OMAD I was never overweight I lost 2 stone and my weight has been stable for 12 yrs, I don't gain weigh at all. I look younger feel amazing and the only exercise I take is walking. People laughed at first until they tried what I told them I do. They are not laughing now

The Carnivore Diet isn't just meat from fish and land animals. It also allows animal products, such as eggs, butter, and cheese. I recommend the Keto Diet first and being in Ketosis before switching over. A Ketovore Diet, which is mostly Carnivore, but with some Keto-friendly foods, may be more sustainable for some. I like guacamole, chia seeds, and macadamia nuts, for instance. Bottom line, yes, Carnivore Diet is healthy.
Been on carnivore for a few weeks now. And the results are staggering. I'm already starting to reach the forth hole on my belt. I've been on the third hole for a long time now. Not only that. But I'm having a big confidence boost. I'm more assertive, taking less crap from others and just feel super motivated. Veganism is the real sham. Carnivore all the way.
You can add my unreliable self-reporting to the list. I'm 66, and haven't felt this good since I was in my 20s. I've lost a lot of weight, and multiple health issues have resolved. Keto since Dec '19, carnivore since Dec '20.
Maybe the meat has caused so much damage that you only think that you have lost weight and improved your health. Your feeling so good is probably due to degraded perception. I recommend a balanced diet where you balance lots of carbs with lots of insulin per the standard medical advice! I am in the same boat as you - fooling my self by wearing smaller clothes and getting better blood numbers. My trig/HDL ratio is 0.7 so I have fooled LabCorp too! I'm 65, and "peer-reviewed" studies and "expert" opinions couldn't interest me less. After decades of being vegetarian, I went carnivore 2 years ago and would never go back to a plant-based diet. I clearly thrive on meat, and I resolved 2 chronic skin conditions that 3 doctors told me weren't curable, only "manageable."
I listen to only one thing now: my body. It's very wise. 😉

Everything eats something else. Such is life. I do wish animals grazed freely and ate their natural diet before we ate them though. We need to do better, much better.

@@Rob__James Thanks for asking. Had my last PET body scan and bloodwork Feb 16. Happy to report that my white blood cell counts have slowed down. My Dr used the term stabilized!!! No treatments needed yet! The counts had been jumping up 20 to 30 points historically every 3 months, but since the last few months, only went up .2!! I've also lost a total of 35 lbs so far since Nov. Weightloss seems slow but it's steady. Carnivore is definitely the way to go for me. Hope you are well.
I’m a 77 yo woman who has arthritis in spine. Had knee pain. I was only 25# overweight and have shrunk from my original height of 5’2” to 4’11”! I started sugar free Jan 27 and carnivore Feb 7. As of today, I’ve lost 10+#! I don’t care about studies. Im pain free, fell better than ever (knee pain was gone in 3 days), and my 82 yo husband and I managed to mow our lawn recently without hiring someone. NOT a riding mower, but a self propelled walking mower. Talk about feeling proud and happy!!!

My son is in medical school (MD school) in the northeast and is on the carnivore diet eating just 2 meals a day but with some added fruit. He keeps up with the research and wants to help change conventional medicine and it's current approach which has made millions of people sick and die early.

I'm now 25 I still have anxiety and rarely have a panic attack and if I do it's because I smoked some weed or something. Eating a high protein diet does help a lot with everything besides the anxiety.
I have been carnivore/omad for 3 years now, and i still feel great! I lost 50lbs, put my pre-diabetes in remission, lower blood pressure, and my cystic back acne cleared up! This way of eating is the real deal!

I'm 73 years old. Two and a half years ago I weighed 258 pounds, had high blood pressure, was pre-diabetic, had severe acid reflux, and rashes would break out on my legs and back every couple of months. I was so out of shape I was unable to walk up to my third floor apt without being completely winded. (I live in France and our building does not have an elevator). Finally, my doctor told to change my life style or I'd be dead in 4 or 5 years. So, I spent a few months doing research and I decided go on the Keto diet. After 6 months on Keto my weight dropped to 212, my blood pressure improved (but it was still higher than I wanted it to be), my acid reflux went away, and I was no longer pre-diabetic. However, the rashes on my legs and back continued to drive me crazy. Then a friend told me about Carnivore so I decided to give it a try. It was pretty easy to go from Keto to Carnivore because I'd already cut carbs from my diet completely. For the past 2 years my heath has steadily improved... I now weigh 168 pounds, the rashes are gone, and my blood pressure is normal, and my gums stopped bleeding. All I can say is that it has worked wonders for me.
I have Hashimotos, for 30+ years my lymph nodes have been swollen and painful. 2 mo into carnivore and no more swollen lymph nodes. Nothing hurts,my gums don't bleed anymore. I have strength again, my joints don't hurt. I can walk the trash can up my long driveway and not feel the need to stop and cry from sheer exhaustion and muscles burning. I no longer have heart palpitations. I sleep well at night and have even started dreaming again. Imagine that...dreaming! I don't miss a single thing, I don't feel deprived and no longer feel as though I am starving all the time. At 63 I was just ready for it all to be over. Not any more. I think I will just hang around for awhile.

Eating a 95% carnivore diet for upwards of a year now. Love it. Was 85 kilos before, 64 kilos as I write this. 60 years old and I can do 55 pushups any time. Easy. 150 leg raises, easy. 35 squats, not a problem. Wim Hof breathing techniques help a lot. The carnivore diet's got my vote. 👍
@oldschoolpk Eliminating carbs is about optimal health,...allowing the body to function as it should...naturally. So if you have too much stored fat you will lose the excess. I’m 78 and I eat real food (meat, fish, eggs and dairy). I avoid processed food and have been low carb for over 5 years. I’ve lost 22 pounds over that time and I’ve never felt better.

Keto since 2009 and carnivore since 2013. Keto improved my seizure disorder but going all the way carnivore has cured it completely.

In my n=1, I went from a 'healthy' low fat high whole grain, mostly plant based whole food diet. I was within the correct weight for my height. I thought I was healthy, but I had high blood pressure and then found I had severe gum disease and my dentist wanted to remove most of my back teeth. Research lead me to the low carb diet so I changed overnight and made a goal to keep my teeth and prove my dentist wrong. Wow, what a rabbit hole I fell down. 2 years later, I now eat a ketovore diet (95% carnivore with a few extras like avocado, olives). I have normal blood pressure, no gum disease, my lifelong acne has gone, arthritis gone, excess fat gone (I'm now at the bottom of the ideal weight for my height, not the top), skin looks amazing, no longer get sunburn, skin tags fell off, IBS gone, gas and bloating gone. Oh, and I kept my teeth...

I’m in very good shape. I ride bmx at a competitive level. I go to the gym 4 times a week and eat decently. I do have a bit of roll in the tummy area. It doesn’t make sense considering the cardio I do and the lifting on top of that. I’m going to try this carnivore thing.

@@crubrutockcsgono he’s not showing signs of anemia. gluconeogenesis = your body can make glucose from fat. Beef has every amino acid and mineral needed for our own bodies to build what’s needed. Fiber not needed. No one carnivores is constipated. Most of the nutrients in plants are not bioavailable to humans. We don’t have the stomachs like cows, sheep and goats do. No scurvy. Plants are not needed and if you choose to eat them I’d suggest you keep a food journal and really see patterns.

@@bruce350 wow thats amazing👏 I have been struggling with acid reflux & other digestive issues for years so will be giving the carnivore diet a try. Although I read that acid reflux is from too little stomach acid so the LES valve doesn't close which is how acid ends up in the oesophagus etc. Because protein & fat is hard to digest, when you have low stomach acid it makes it harder to digest so eating a high protein, high fat diet should put extra strain on your digestion yet so many people are seeing such positive results with reflux & other digestive issues by being on the carnivore diet. I'm still going to try it though.

@@Rob__James I've had reflux for DECADES. Keto reduced it slightly, carnivore stopped it. Ad in screeeeeech...over. if you're worried take digestive enzymes when you eat. Salt everything and take some chelated magnesium (ends in "ate") preferable glycinate or malate. Some get diarrhea at first. Some get a little constipated. Should work itself out in a couple wedks.

But if you say things like "This is a study that used the lowest quality of evidence" to an audience that is already wary or certain that eating meat is bad for everyone, that is the only thing they will remember because it reinforces what they already believe. You might also have mentioned that the other thousand studies that Dr. Ludwig did for years also used low quality evidence, epidemiology, food questionaires, etc. . You might also say that the people eating those diets also never seemed to get well or lose their obesity, like the carnivores are doing. I am biased of course because I have been a low carber for a decade or two and a carnivore for the last 3 years and doing great. Again, I know you are trying to be as accurate as possible in what you say and as a physican you will be crucified if you go against conventional wisdom and current medical doctrine or dogma I just think the way you presented things will convince no one to become a carnivore.
P.S. Saying there has been only one study vs thousands for conventual wisdom also will make readers disbelievers. Average reader has no iidea how corrup and misguided things have really been in the diet reesearch busineess for years and years.

Being sick for 5 years, tried everything, nothing worked.. 30 doctors couldn't solve it. Severe depression, CFS, belly and chest pain. Tried reducing meat, tried vegetarianism.. Nope, nope.. But 3 days in carnivore, wow.. Energy levels went up, just a liiiiiittle bit, but enough to get me motivated. In 7 weeks, 80% of my symptoms were gone. This is unbelievable. I'm 12 weeks now and had to change a bit to continue improving, so I'm following PKD protocol from Zsofia Clemens, basically eating less (400g a day), 2:1 fat protein ratio (100g meat to 35g fat) and geez, in 4 days the magic is happening. Food IS medicine. Give it a try (a LOTS of research!!!)

The carnivore diet isn't just meat. It includes eggs and dairy. As for the meat, it's not just steak, either. It includes a variety including fish, poultry and other ruminants. As for ruminants, there are "nose to tail" proponents as well. Some think that's the only legitimate way.

@@jrs3012 We're mammals, perfectly suited to drinking milk. The only evolutionary adaptations we needed was to keep our milk tolerance past infancy and adapt to drinking another species' milk. While these adaptations are by no means global (most humans are intolerant), many populations tolerate dairy just fine, and for us it's fantastic.
I'm 60 and carnivore 2 yrs now. It saved my life ! I was literally bedridden with all over pain, prediabetes, fatty liver, high blood pressure, joint pain, candida, bleeding gums, memory problems, fatigue and food allergies are now all gone. I am 2 meals a day and carnivore for life.

I used to be on fructarian/ vegetarian/vegan diets... it solved nothing I told my doctor she said that I probably ate too much blabla or that I wasn't eating the right thing. I was really annoyed. So i gave this diet a try, i was desperate. Couldn't lose weight, couldn't sleep and felt horrible.
3 weeks on carnivore and i sleep better, the dry skin on my feet and hands are slowly vanishing/ the tingling sensation is gone. I lost 5pounds. For the first time in 2 years, i feel like there is hope. my bp even dropped a little. However there is sitll much to do.
My doctor told me the carnivore diet was a bad idea. Then? How come things are happening? improving? she said it was in my head.
She literally lectured me on animal morality and vegetarian studies.. the benefits of vitamins and blalba. I said sure, i agree however this is working and what you told me hadn't. so what? should I follow the results or keep doing something I had already tried over and over again.
I asked her so what? How come my problems are going away and with veganism nothing changed? she kept repeating the same brainwashed anti meat rhetoric. She even told me she was a vegetarian or vegan or something.

I was in the pinnacle of my health in 2014-2015. 50 yrs old, 100 push ups a day. I just finished bike touring the entire Pacific coast, 2300 miles from Canada to Mexico border. 8% body fat, 29" waist, 6 pack abs, omnivore/Asian diet. Talked into being vegan to 'preserve' my health and well-being. 2 years of this resulted first in arthritis, then developed Lupus, followed by Hashimoto's. I couldn't ride a bike any longer, struggled to drive my car. bone loss, muscle mass loss, nerve and eyesight impairment, skin peeling, hair loss, tremors, twitches and cramps, night blindness, joint pain all over my body, tinnitus 24/7. This lasted for 5 years! Dumbfounded as to why....since I was on the most healthy diet possible claimed doctors, and vegans. Up to now, I stopped eating beef for over a decade, even before becoming vegan. Even though I was shrinking in stature and muscle mass, I had gained a lot of visceral fat, my waist ballooned to 37" on what seemed like normal portions. No sugary foods or soft drinks, no fruit juices. Had all kinds of bloating, gas, gut pains and terrible constipation. In 2022 this Jan. I discovered Mikhaila Peterson's TEDx video about her Beef diet that cured her of chronic autoimmune disorder. I had nothing to lose. I once again ate beef in my diet. I ate a lot of eggs and fatty cheeses too. Cooked with coconut oil, and beef tallow. Eliminated all Omega-6 vegetable oils. I still incorporated carbs and starches, ie. potato, rice, pasta, and some breads. Avoided all refined/processed carbs and products. No fruits, no sugar, but some ice cream during the Summer. No chicken or pork. The beef only meat diet transformed me. Hair grew thick, skin improved, no more arthritis, or any joint pains, no constipation! No gut issues of any kind. I wasn't feeling like I was always hungry anymore. In 3 months, I dropped so much visceral fat that I can see and feel the change, and was a 32" waist. Dropped 5" in 3 months. I was astonished. No exercise or physical activity throughout this period, as the autoimmune disorder robbed me of my ability.
As an experiment, I substituted to an all pork diet and no beef/eggs/cheese for 6 weeks. I immediately noticed weight gain of 2" to my waist. I was still eating pasta, rice, like before. Very unexpected results. I am now preparing to return to beef, eggs, cheese, butter. I've gone through the entire spectrum, and I'm now convinced and swear by the carnivore diet. It can be modified once you've reached a good point of health. But heed my warning, don't fall for the Cult of Veganism. It's a scientific dead end, and will wreck your health in the long run.

I‘m since December 6, 2019 Carnivore cause I‘m carb intolerant. Ok I don‘t eat only meat but also eggs, fish, seafood except for mollusks cause I had a slight bit of an allergic reaction when I ate scallops, dairy (aged cheese mostly from goats, Greek yoghurt, raw heavy cream, butter and plain quark). The only fruits and nuts I can tolerate are avocados, olives and macadamia nuts cause those are mostly fatty. I also can add mushrooms but mostly I buy fatty beef soup meat aka sirloin cap, short ribs, shank with marrow bone or meaty bones. I eat game and when I get Iberico pork from free roaming pigs from Spain.
I lost so far 41.6+ kilogram, increased my kidney function from 45% in 2019 to 70% this year. I reversed a NAFL, got off my diabetes drugs (former T2D), cut 9 out of 10 prescription drugs. My allergies are in remission. When I started I fit into a size 26 jeans but this was a very tight fit means I was almost size 28 now I fit into a size 10 jeans a very loose fit means I need to buy a size 9 soon.
I have more energy and I can fast without getting hungry for 24 hours, I‘m mostly OMAD sometimes I eat 2MAD and those are my cheat days. The fruits and nuts I mentioned are consumed maybe once every 3 months at one or two days cause I almost have to regret it cause I get constipated from the fiber.
My doc says I‘m healthier now then I was when she met me 15 years ago. I did it without her advice and she was first shocked but now she is stunned about the results.
I also was 16 days after I started Carnivore pain free for the first time in 38 years, I lived with chronic pain in my whole body (muscles, tissues, joints) until December 22, 2019 and the doc‘s couldn’t find the cause but asap I cut out all processed foods, sugars, carbs (starches, fruits, veggies and grains and grain byproducts) and plant seed oils and started eating animal products and fats my pain was gone and is still gone.
I do meal prepping on the weekend for the upcoming week so I have a lot of time I use for walks, exercise, weight and HIIT training and relaxing.

I have been on the carnivore diet for over a year now and have lost 68 pounds in the first 8 months. Eating almost only meat (ribeye's, chicken, pork, seafood), small amounts of some cheeses, and loads of eggs and bacon. I had blood test before I started, and my HDL and LDL were near the upper range and only got better after I started the diet. Cholesterol is perfect also. Now that I am at my goal weight, I have added a couple of low carb vegi's and some nuts and berries once in a while. After the eighth week, I had to stop taking my blood pressure pills because my BP was going too low if I took them. I have way more energy, sleep better, feel better, less brain fog, and eat way less because I do not feel hungry because the "bad fat" satiates your hunger and gives you fuel. I am 55 and feel like a beast again.

We healed my husbands thighs's deep wound from his broken femur in 10 weeks, put the diabetes into remission and brought his blood pressure back to normal. And are still on metformin as an added measure to 100% improve glucose levels because he also has an eye globe laceration and corneal displacement because of the same accident that broke his femur. ..fyi..he also has visible damage from his blood pressure and diabetes in the back of the eye but we do not know when it happened because he was injected with insulin at the hospital because glucose level reach 800+ mmlr.

After having a heart bypass and discovering I was type 2 diabetic (11.2 A1C) I spent 4-5 months eating fairly "healthy" but nothing specific. Went vegan for a year and it fixed nothing. fatty liver remained. My A1C remained at 6.3 which I had gotten it down to with diet and meds. Still needed bp meds and my heart's ejection fraction remained at 37%. I did a complete reverse and went carnivore and in 9 months my fatty liver was gone, bp meds were gone, A1C was 5.2 with no meds and my hearts ejection fraction was raised to 48%My trigs are 44 and HDL is 84, I ignore total and LDL cholesterol. Since then an echo has said my 20% blockage of the carotids is also gone. Carnivore for the rest of my life.

After the bypass I was on statins for about a year and aspirin as well. that first couple of years after the bypass was a huge learning curve for me that basically began when the ADA nutritionist was insisting that as a diabetic I had to eat the carb equivalent of 40 teaspoons of sugar a day (160 carbs)

I switched to a carnivore way of eating 4 years ago after years of eating a heavily plant based diet and sometimes vegetarian. I also fell for the low fat lies. I’m 64 now and with carnivore have reversed leaky gut, autoimmune issues migraines, uti’s and joint pain. I no longer have the yo-yo weight gains. I eat until I’m full and my weight stays constant without having to go hungry or restrict calories. Carnivore is amazing. For me it’s been life changing!

I'm really bad with my organ meat... they taste horrible to me... I can squeeze by a heart, which isn't technically an organ... brain, kidneys, tripes, stomach... but never ask me to eat a liver or other weird stuff minimally processed...
I can do liverwurst though... or blend foie gras mixed with butter and some spices to top a steak with it... (learned this one when I was a cook)
I love organ meats -- those meats are not shooting up in price like other meats. I eat liver at least a few times a week. My hemoglobin levels are at a very healthy 16.

I have been carnivore before it was a diet. I have never been healthier. I reversed endometriosis and excema. I have a reaction to vegetables so do not touch them.

Some vegetables that come from the nightshade family can be a trigger for some people but that still doesn't take away the fact that a lot of vegetables have benefits especially when it comes to gut health and diversity. You might want to look at what Dr Rhonda Patrick (she isn't vegan or vegetarian for the record) has to say about the Carnivore diet before you start using the word "toxic" to describe vegetables.
I’m 66 too and have had exactly the same experience. IBS gone, 54 lbs. gone, tiredness gone, brain clarity up, depression and moodiness gone, skin soft and rashes gone, and energy levels through the roof. I wouldn’t believe it unless I experienced it. Plaque buildup almost none. Don’t sunburn anymore. Actually looking ripped and have a lot of strength without much exercise, other than I’ve become so active because I have so much energy.
A quesion sir, how long takes to watch benefits?
I counted my macros and micronutrients, ate complex carbs, veggies, olive oil, fruits, poultry, like you're suggested to do by so called experts. I became noticeably more depressed, anxious and I felt overall weak. When I switched to a meat only diet, admittedly I had minor GI problems for about a week or two but once I got over that bump, I noticed insane benefits. My hair and skin started looking amazing, I started losing a small amount of stubborn fat without trying my cals at all but most importantly for me was that the constant veil of depression started to go away. Amino acids from protein are the precursor to dopamine and serotonin + fat is vital for proper hormone functioning. Also as a side note, I had C diff before I switched to carnivore and tried a few rounds of antibiotics that didn't help - I thought I'd just have to deal with it or do FMT. Carnivore fixed it.
Meat heals. You can find every important nutrient in meat, including Vitamin C, in organ meats. Saturated fat does not cause heart disease and is important for hormones, look up meta analysis studies, don't just believe my words! Anyone reading should try carnivore without a doubt, intuitively when one thinks about it, if we didn't have society coddling us and had to hunt for our food, what would you be eating? Would you spend all day scavenging for kale? Or would you be eating meat? There's a reason you'd be picking the latter!!
Do you take a vitamin daily too? I'm going to go carnivore, but I don't want to make myself sick in the process. Is a vitamin needed?

Yup because we are wired to this food since primveral times. It makes sense to me and my gut feeling always told me to eat more meat than i usual do (i have iron lack). I will give this a try now but i already know that i will feel much better than before!
@@speedyllama8380not according to the carnivore experts. You get everything from meats. Organ meats as well, eg chicken livers, calves liver. The only issue is the transition from carbs to protein/fat. You feel terrible for a few days.
I’ve been on Carnivore diet since July 4th 2020 and I’ve lost 57 pounds and I have zero pain left in my back from a herniated L4L5 and Arthritis. I feel like I’m in my 20’s and I’m 44. My skin and liver issues have completely healed and I was on Cialis but my libido returned with a vengeance, I no longer need it! I never get bored and I eat all types of meat cheese and eggs. I also eat liver and drink bone broth.

Hello from Brazil. I followed the standart nutricional advice most of my life until my late 40s. Result: obesity, kidney stones, IBS. Takes some time to the damages of standart diet set in, but they always reach you.
After decadse of pain and useless "expert" advices, I started keto by my own decision and got fast recovery. Lost 20kg in a year and the IBS got a lot better. But some of the recommended food of Keto are bad for the kidneys: nuts, especially almonds. Because of this decided to made the cleanest, oxalate free diet, which is a almost totally carnivore keto, and get even better: IBS vanished, and the kidneys are ok. l still eat some fiber, psyllium husk fiber and sauerkraut, only to avoid constipation.
After some 5 months of near absolute carnivore diet Im feeling great, like never was in the last 30 years.
The advice to avoid meat and saturated fat and eat carbs instead is a crime against humanity. What the food industry and his paid and bought researches are doing is genocide.

Being a horrible binge/stress eater for years, after one week with just meat had halted that want for carbs and I feel satiated so quickly. No more acid or stomach problems, more energy and down 20 pounds. It's been 19 days and I've even cheated with ice cream. I love this diet!
I have been eating meat and animal products only since August 2020. Lost about 15 lbs. (Now 164 lbs at 5'10", and gained muscle weight, at about 18% fat). Reversed chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, sinusitis, reduced insulin by more than half (type 1 diabetes), arthritis went away, lots of energy, i can tolerate heat and sun well, tan easily without burning, body odor has gone away (no deodorant), hair is thickening on head as well as the rest of my body, nails are stronger, teeth are healthier, no more gingivitis, better focus, mental clarity, improved confidence, less irritability, calm, and much more. Of course this is n=1, but if you add all the n=1 together, you get a significant sampling. Of course this is self-reporting, but clearly eating mostly beef and salt has totally transformed my life. At 59, i am healthier than when i was 29!
I am not saying that everyone needs to eat meat only, but dont be afraid to eat significantly more ruminate meat, cut out deadly seed (vegetable) oils, nuts, seeds (including soy), sugar, high-oxalate foods, processed foods, and eat plenty of saturated animal fat - there is no proof that it is bad for you.
I forgot to add that my A1c went from about 7.8 to 5.5, and no more constipation, gas, bloating, etc.

I discovered Keto in Dec last year when I was 136kg - on high blood pressure, high cholesterol, metformin meds and diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for almost 15 years. In Feb this year, I chose to go mostly carnivore after having issues with fibre in the veges I was eating. To date I have lost over 40kg, put my diabetes into remission, stopped taking all meds and have never felt better. I turned 60 last month, and can't recall the last time I was this size or felt this good. I am now size 97 waist, 2XL in shirts and have dropped a shoe size. My doctor doesn't really approve of the method, but he cannot argue against the results. Only one he doesn't like is my cholesterol (which is high), but I have convinced him to do a HDL/LDL comparison on the next test. I'm betting that the HDL will be greatly improved. My diet these days consists of beef, pork, chicken, bacon, eggs, cheese, butter, cream, black coffee and water. I only cook in ghee or butter. Wife won't let me use lard or tallow, but she is slowly coming around to the LCHF idea as it helps her inflammation.

@@Moyopheus Vegetables can be inflammatory to some people and they do best on strict carnivore diet. I've also know people who go full carnivore because they don't know what is irritating their system and once they've controlled that inflammation with their diet, they can slowly add one thing at a time to their diet (two weeks trying each new item) and expand their diet back to include more things and eliminate anything that starts to show inflammation or illness.
Thank you for your presentation. I am an 82 year old woman in good general health. For the first time in my life I have been prescribed a long term medication, this was for a slight, but consistent elevation in blood pressure. Tiredness seemed to be a chronic “partner”, which I had not experienced previously. The Carnivore diet came into view. I researched it as well as information was available. As you stated, this was scant. My family was adamant that I not, at my age, do anything so drastic, especially, since for 40 years to date, meat, eggs, butter, whole milk have been considered “death by a thousand cuts”! But, something, after prayer, kept drawing me towards the experience. Organ meat in the form of liver was my first real risky addition, after a few days of dialing back carbohydrates. Almost immediately, tiredness subsided. While I’m proceeding cautiously, so far, energy has increased, bloating and irregularity has decreased. Now, I want my doctor to monitor results over the long term. I still don’t find “one if a kind”! panaceas credible. Every wind, or breeze of “this is it” feeds our penchant for the search for fountains of youth, and Shangri-La. But, this way of eating seems to hold some real benefits. After time, if necessary, it seems prudent to begin to re-introduce some small serving of plants and grains. We shall see. After all, the meat we do eat is almost entirely from “vegan” animals. They just pre-process plants for us…😅
I personally believe that a high fibre and high meat diet might be best? But I don't know, as you say research is v scant.
@@mryan4452 My gut feeling (pun unintended) is that carnivore is best for athletic performance, but meat plus nutrient dense vegetables is good for longevity as you get more antioxidants. Ideally you'd eat meat with a lot of antioxidants in it because the animal grazed on antioxidant rich plant matter, but not everyone can afford to eat 100% grassfed beef/bison/etc. right now. And if we all did, then we wouldn't, because the price would raise so much.
In retrospect, doing a well done carnivore study would be great. In the past looking at how meat and saturated fat affected health it was always done in the environment of high carb diets which we know drastically changes the outcome. If meat and saturated fat are so bad for us, a well done study should be showing people dropping like flies on a hot window sill, bring it on!

carnivore for a year, and mostly carnivore for 3. Meat, eggs, and I do include butter, as I have no negative effects from it. I have stopped all my hot flashes from menopause, lost the belly fat I started to gain from menopause, have significantly improved my sleep, mental clarity, steady energy levels (even when I miss a meal) and increased lean mass with an accompanying decrease in body fat. Got rid of my migraines as well. My triglycerides are crazy low, and my HDL doubled. It certainly works for me.

As a senior women my tolerance for vegetables is getting worse. Eating veg kills my stomach. In desperation I have introduced more and more carnivore days. I feel best on those days. I am 70 years old. I am anxious to see how the science plays out. Thank you for considering this subject.

When I stopped eating veg everyday, the arthritic pains I still had went away. I never have to take a pain reducer anymore. I started dropping veg out of the inability to get them when the pandimic hit and noticed within a week or so my shoulder stopped hurting. Then veg was available again and my shoulder starting hurting again. So I for the most part have cut it out.
@@1StewartSarah I wasn't sure who to link to, lol, bcz my story is like most in this thread. But I, too, am 73 & have had to eliminate most of the "healthy" veg n starches that made up my previous nearly vegan diet.
The short version of my story is that chronic arthritis-like pain in my feet, then spreading to my arms & shoulders, drew me to the book "The Plant Paradox" last year, after which I discovered I am very sensitive to lectins in plants. And since then, I have had to eliminate several other plants as well, & am now nearly pain free!
I say nearly bcz I had some fresh dates w my 99% dark chocolate last night & am regretting it today, lol. But I have had some pain free days. I am just still in the food-testing phase. Happily, this week I finally established that tho' I can't eat cruciferous veggies raw, I CAN eat some of them cooked. So that's a big hooray, bcz I love broccoli & kale!
But no, Sarah, you are definitely NOT the only 73 yr old w a problem w plants, lol. And fortunately for us, info coming out of recent books on the latest longevity research are saying that altho' a low protein diet is linked to longevity during the years from child-bearing & rearing through about 65, that after 65, our need for protein again goes up & gradually increases as we age, to assist w maintaining important muscle mass, etc. (Resistance training is also key!) So it seems we have stumbled just in time onto what we need most anyway!
Lol! I'm also 70. I believe carnivore is great. I've read a ton of research that points to it being beneficial to preventing all kinds of issues of older folks like me and you. I.E.: Macular Degeneration, Dementia, Alzheimer's... The fat is supposedly great for the brain.
From last 2 months I have stopped eating grains and vegetable seed oils.......now 90% of my diet consists of meat, butter, cheese and eggs.
I also like to consider the societies that have traditionally ate this way, like the Inuit and the Maasi. Those who remained on their traditional diets have remained in excellent health, it's only those who abandoned their traditional diets.
I wonder about this because the Indian traditional diet is pretty high in carbs. Plenty of whole food sources, fasting regime within our various religions, and less reliance on cars could have helped maintain health

One thing that seems to get overlooked is what the various effective diets have in common. Eliminating from diet all the processed foods AND industrial seed oils. This results in reducing systemic inflammation and bingo,, good things happen. Obviously animal protein / fat based takes all out of equation, which I think is why it’s reset button for most who can sustain it
I agree with what you’re saying and you’ve proven it with close monitoring.
One aspect is the idea of maximum effectiveness vs whats sustainable. It’s like the 80/20 rule that Mark Sisson promotes. It applies to many things in life. Humans have tendency to throw out an entire protocol if it can be perfect. So instead each person needs to find what’s sustainable for them. It’s much like working out in this way. Sure one can get massively strong lifting 3-5 rep range…but what’s it really worth if it isn’t sustainable for that persons motivation or risk factor?
Obviously folks vary greatly when it comes to this. For instance, for me the thought of eating vegan full time sounds awful. And carnivore makes many others have that same cringe same reaction. So I’d say If you’re among the small percentage of people who can eat an all meat diet, never to have occasional olive / avocado … slice of pizza / cake at your kids bday party…and you can sustain that years on end then count yourself as lucky. No doubt you’ll reap maximum benefits

Generally speaking diet changes is not a universal good/bad depending on the individual. It may be worth just trying to add a little of something else, to see if it fixes it.

I'm 73 and carnivor and will never go back to eating any kind of plant food. I've got the body I had in boot camp at 21. I feel better than I've ever felt. I get my energy from healthy fat and no energy from sugar (carbohydrates).

I have been eating a "carnivore diet" since 2010. I didn't call it that back then because I didn't know many people that were doing this and I didn't think of it as "going on a diet". In fact, it was called "Zero Carb" (or just "ZC") before being labeled as "carnivore diet". I had a lot of health issues like epilepsy, obesity, and asthma. I read a book called "fat of the land" and it convinced me to give eating only meat a try. Before reading that book, I didn't even consider a change in my diet as a possible solution to my health issues but the book was so fascinating and it made me curious. If it helped then I was prepared to make it a permanent change because I would have done anything to feel better. I am still eating this way in 2021 for a reason.
Just to clarify, this isn't a book that is trying to push some magical diet that will solve all of your problems. It's an anthropological book about primitive Inuit. I recommend it.
It's no longer called the zero carb diet because it turns out animal based foods also have carbs, like egg yolks, liver and other carnivore foods do so there is no such thing as a zero carb lifestyle but it's very lowcarb nevertheless
@@ClaudiaVejaImages Everyone that called it "zero carb" was aware that meat has small amounts of carbs. I believe it was Owsley Stanley that started using that name and even he made that clear. It's "close enough" to Zero Carb.
And not just eggs, dairy, and offal. All meat has some carbs. Even a rib-eye although it is quite a small amount.
So yeah, that isn't why we no longer use the word ZC. That was well known from the start. The reason why it changed to "Carnivore Diet" is because of Shawn Baker. He made this way of eating much more popular by going on Joe Rogan. Next thing you know we have all kinds of new diet names like PKD and "Lion Diet".
Back around 2010 to 2015, only a few hundred or so of us were eating this way. We called it ZC but things change.
I used to talk to Owsley and he said he called it ZC because he said the goal should be to eat as close to Zero Carbs as possible. I don't really agree with him that it's the most important thing but that's where the name came from.

Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story!
So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet!

* I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But 9 months on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!

I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻

I have been on it for 3 years and my A1c are better now and lost 45 lbs and I have fixed all pain a problems. Never going back!

Getting away from sugar and grains are what helped me the most.
The only serious down side experienced by me was diarrhea. and some constipation. I'm in a good place now; my bloodwork is much better, my overall health has improved. I exercise more and sleep better. I would suggest starting with low carb and making a slow transition to carnivore or something close. Please remember, the more metabolically unsound you are, the longer it will take, but, even at my age (68), blood markers improved quickly. Just stay with it. I'm glad I did.
diarrhea gets better, gall bladder needs a bit of time to ramp up and that's the fat making you go... GO...
I had the diarrhea at the beginning. I thought I was having constipation later on too, but I think it is just a low residue diet and most of what we eat is absorbed by the body. Kind of freaked me out at first but have seen multiple reputable sources suggesting there is not a lot of waste to get rid of on strict carnivore.
@@jeffmcelroy5437 very low residue, i go every other day and eat 750 g of beef, 4 eggs, 2 tbsp of kerrygold, and 150-200 of bacon
I had a lot of constipation when on Keto, I've never had that issue with carnivore, It's likely salt or fat related.

I’ve been carnivore for two years and am leaner than I was as an obese 10 year old and feel better at 34 than I did at 14. I have two kids but more energy and less pain.

@@johnnytsunami3558 they can build up in your kidneys because they can be challenging for some people to process. They will make you crave sweets though so the immediate effect is worse than any long term toxicity.
In the long term, it might be better to avoid them because some people have reported MS conditions vanishing when they eliminate fake sugars.
Theres no benign sweetener.
Been ultra low carb / carnivore for years. Cholesterol almost always near 300 total with a ldl hld ratio os around 10-12 (12x heart attack risk). Had a coronary calcium score done TODAY to check blockage of arteries. My score was 0. ZERO. Perfect. 90% of men my age have worse artery clogging. I literally have zero plaque or blockage on 1000 or more calories of pure fat per day every day for a decade.
Appreciate the data. I have wondered how well this did relative to heart risk but had not heard anyone give this detail of information.
I think it would be very interesting to do a side by side comparison on the benefits of Keto vs Carnivore diets/lifestyles! One point of interest would be ? any increase in colon cancer or pre cancerous polyps in the two groups. Also bone density comparisons and inflammatory markers in the two groups. HbA1C comparisons also. I am sure there are other things as well. Lots of meat for studies. But I doubt the Ag industry would subsidize it. Maybe the beef council? :)
I dont know how healthy carnivore diet is, but it is definately healthier than official one that advocates low fat diet
Check out Dr. Shawn Baker, he’s the meat guru. I jump around from all meat some weeks to adding evening salads while keeping carbs very low. Never felt better at 55 years old.
Same! I eat mostly animal products with a few salads as a side in the week. I feel great!
I am my own study. Nothing beats experience. Feeling great on carnivore.
Hopefully this study will prompt more thoughtful and detail research. Furthermore, getting more nuanced exploration into nose to tail eating, i.e. organ meats and not just muscle for the micro nutrients.
I started Carnivore August 3, 2019. Lost 40 pounds in 4 months and have been 165 pounds ever since. I'm 6 feet tall and 165 was my weight at the end of high school, so I'm happy with my weight. It fixed a lot of health issues, and it was just in time for the beginning of the pandemic! Good luck, not good management. Still....
It's a wonderful diet/lifestyle. Humans followed a carnivore diet for 300,000 years, then experimented with plants for the last 15,000 years. It's not a fad. The vegetable eaters are following the fad.

I like how you mention how this study (or whatever it's called) is not at all evidence of anything, really. The problem is just that this is true for so many (most, I would assume) studies but are usually perceived as some kind of evidence.
I have done 3 months carnivore diet almost 2 years ago and I had big improvements on skin, gut, energy, mental clarity, mental health and so on. Now I am doing it again and the improvements are coming back, just as before. It takes a while (weeks, to a couple of months?) to get adapted to the fat metabolism to reach the same level of energy when working out and stuff. Of course, this is just another anecdote but the easiest thing is to try it yourself for months and you will see how it works out.
Indeed. On the energy level while working out you could try usibg a bit of MCT oil (C8 - C10) on a fasted state and the energy and power you get its like' jet fuel '... Try it :)

Carnivore is helping alot of people, including me. Down 40lbs in 6 months, energetic all the time, fixed my sleep patterns, up a 7am everyday, random pains in my body gone, (obviously inflammation triggers from a crap diet) ect. Thing is, if you're gonna commit...commit! Carnivore changes the gut microbiome and it will become less diverse in gut bacteria obviously because you're limiting your gut to primarily meat. If you go for so long on this diet (honestly lifestyle) and revert to old eating habits, it's like a train wreck for the gut. Don't fear tho, just get a well studied probiotic from a reputable company. I stress this cause the probiotic market is a Billion dollar market, and alot of companies just slap "probiotic" and a high cfu count on their label, so you can get crappy strains that won't help like they should. I've been follow Dr. William Davis for a while and he has loads of info on gut health and other useful information. Him and Dr. Berg made me fear wheat and grains too, in a good way tho. Healthy? Yes, I'd say so hands down. Also, ditching sugar helps a TON.

I've been on a keto diet for over 2 years now and it's working great for me. At times I'll go full carnivore though and I feel even better when I do it. There's no doubt in my mind it's one of the best ways of eating if not the best.
Started March of 2021 after reading The Carnivore Code. I didn’t want to do a diet where I was counting calories, carbs and portions. Combined with eating mostly a 20/4 (2-6pm) intermittent fasting schedule I’m down 56 pounds to 16.5% body fat at age 69. Still have all the energy I need in the gym, joint pain has resolved. After the first two months I added back in healthy salads and red wine. Such an easy way to go. No counting food groups and calories. The fat in the meat and from avocados, olives, etc. have kept me from having cravings. I think Carnivore works much like Keto by primarily keeping you away from cheap, useless carbs and sugar laden snacks.

Heads up everyone! Carbohydrate and Sugar cravings are real. This is a no sugar diet and omg i feel like a pregnant woman whos craving a particular food.
I literally eye ball bread and biscuits in my home and become hangry.
Picture this for second. You just ate 2 steaks cooked in butter with some eggs... You want something sweet.
You then spot the Oreo bisuits... Man oh man did i want to cug down a few of those bad boys.
This diet aint easy. Its not just eat meat, "Zug Zug" said the cave man. Its alot of self control and discipline. No more sweet drinks, no croissants, no snacks, chips etc etc.
I personally also choose not to eat any meat that was deep fried. Vegetable, peanut, canoloa oils are terrible for you!
Best thing I've ever done. Health benefits and athletic performance skyrocketed

I mostly do carnivore. It is awesome. I basically have to to stave off eczema and IBS-c. I eat mostly meat cheese and eggs.

I have been on this diet for 4 months now and I was worried it might not be healthy so I have gotten blood work every month. I was being prepared for a stroke and warned my triglycerides were 3188 sugar was or A1C was 9.1 and I was following my dietian orders correctly and taking tons of pills. Now my blood work is better then when I was 30 and I have the attention of the local hospitals on how I changed everything. Eating only animal products is bland boring and hard to maintain daily but my health keeps me going. My triglycerides now are 147 A1C is 5.1 blood pressure is 116/64 and I finally have vitamin D3 in my blood work results..
Eat to live, rather than live to eat?

The only reason those of us who eat high fat/low carb diets are called weird or crazy is because big food companies have spent billions telling us that their food is better for us. If it has ingredients made by man, it's not good for you. period. Carbs are cheap, but that doesn't make them good for you., especially after being highly processed into something unrecognizable (like impossible meat). Stick to whole foods and low carb and you're likely to illuminate most of your health issues within months. Crazy. I had a typical high carb diet for 50 years. I've seen a huge change just in the first three months. I'm now 2 years in (ketovore) and I have the bloodwork of a 20 year old.
It's what we are supposed to eat, but not the poisonous stuff from your local supermarket.
The word "Ketosis" should not even exist, it's just describes the normal, natural state of a human body

I told my husband I want to try this, but he's concerned about vitamins and nutrients. I have crohns, chronic anemia even needed blood transfusions, and I have a skin condition, I'm so tired of it. fruit has never agreed with me, veggies betray me constantly and carbs like bread and pasta are not filling. Meat is the only category that doesn't give me problems, so I'm gonna try it.
I don't eat sugar or anything containing it, I don't touch any soft or fizzy drinks, I don't eat any Carbs, I don't eat any processed foods, I do eat all meat and offal all fish, and eggs , high fats like butter, beef dripping and ghee butter, I only eat veg grown above ground, as far as fruit is concerned I only eat berries . My doctor lied to me along the the NHS and the diet industry. I do intermittent fasting and usually eat OMAD I was never overweight I lost 2 stone and my weight has been stable for 12 yrs, I don't gain weigh at all. I look younger feel amazing and the only exercise I take is walking. People laughed at first until they tried what I told them I do. They are not laughing now

The Carnivore Diet isn't just meat from fish and land animals. It also allows animal products, such as eggs, butter, and cheese. I recommend the Keto Diet first and being in Ketosis before switching over. A Ketovore Diet, which is mostly Carnivore, but with some Keto-friendly foods, may be more sustainable for some. I like guacamole, chia seeds, and macadamia nuts, for instance. Bottom line, yes, Carnivore Diet is healthy.
Been on carnivore for a few weeks now. And the results are staggering. I'm already starting to reach the forth hole on my belt. I've been on the third hole for a long time now. Not only that. But I'm having a big confidence boost. I'm more assertive, taking less crap from others and just feel super motivated. Veganism is the real sham. Carnivore all the way.
