    Jane Jacobs gives a half hour talk at the National Building Museum after receiving the Vincent Scully Prize on November 11, 2000. Jacobs was the author of "The Death and Life of Great American Cities", published in 1961. She gained fame opposing projects by Robert Moses that would have destroyed New York City neighborhoods.

    If there was a woman that could see into the future and discover the fate of a cities success or failure with logical thinking, Jane would be that woman! A true visionary!
