No experience of this particular bike but I rode the Honda Transalp and then I rode the CF Moto 800MT, collected my CF Moto today. I’d buy the 800MT if they were the same price but actually it’s a lot cheaper and it’s got so much more tech, including 3 piece luggage thrown in… for £9200. Very pleased with my purchase 👍🏻

Owned both bikes CB500X and Zontes T350 only time the Honda wins is motorway use, my worst mpg with Zontes was 65 mpg best 80 mpg. Best mod on Zontes was 20mm increase on rear preload, suddenly the bike came alive on back roads easily out handling the Honda, try it!

Thank you for another in-depth section on this bike. I’m still of the opinion that a Chinese made bike isn’t for me however I’m enjoying your thoughts on it. I’m guessing on reserve you’ll get between 28-32 miles but no doubt I’ll be wildly wrong

Really keen on watching the rest of the upcoming episodes. I'm interested to see how such a bike holds up. I'd still always go for a used, big brand bike for the same kind of money.
The resale value and the always present fear of not getting the proper part support would surely lead me to tried and tested manufacturers. I guess you can get a lemon as well but overall.. I'd give the chinese bikes maybe another 10-15 years to be a truly viable option.
Still a great series to watch!

I have this bike in black, It replaced a Triumph Tiger. This is used mainly as a commuter bike. I really love this thing. Its light, fun, fast enough, has enough gadgets. I have so far had no issues other than the key fob constantly draining the fob battery. But in general its just such an easy bike to ride and I love it. I have Shad gear on it, plus crash bar bags for locks and a cover. The new 703F should be a really decent bike.

A proper comment for you this time.
On a review of I think it was a KTM or another bike (don't shoot me if I've got the marque wrong) in a comparison video, they were made or assembled in China, so if a major marque is prepared to have their bikes built in China, it would stand to reason they would make their own version of a similar bike.

Definitely cannot wait for the next instalment of this exciting review.
Many buy these and run them into the ground.
I remember when the Japanese cloned British bikes. They weren't that good at first either and many had chocolate camchains.
Anyone remember how awful the GPz305 was?
It's amazing how many bikers have selective memories.
Then there's the grey imports where the information is in Japanese only.
    Never mind Chinglish.
I have been learning Japanese since 1998 and it still catches me out at times.
Mandarin characters are used in the Japanese language too.
Loncin have always been a Chinese favourite of mine.
I ride Japanese and Italian only though.
None of this ABS or other aids nonsense.
Try fixing them without a very expensive diagnostic console.
I will stick with my carburettors thank you.
Seen too many injector issues on car's to want them of a bike.
I wait with a baited hook to reel in the latest edition of this review.
I will be sad when it ends.

How are the quality of the engine in your opinion?
I want to buy the new beta alp, i have the old one, but the old one have a suzuki engine, which is top quality.
The bikes are the best scramblers without any real competition.
The others are much heavier for offroad. / too sporty end not a comfortable bike to travel.
The crf 300 is the only bike, but it's not capable in the highway.
Your reviews made me think of it, because it will have the advantage on the freeway...
    Thanks.

I'm curious about the large box and triangle. It looks a bit like a trucks under bed toolbox, I wonder if it's full of tools.
I can understand how something like that can drop off a vehicle, bounce off the road, over the bridge sides and into the water.
What always amazes me, is when you find things like phone box telephone units and safes etc.
I always wonder who thinks up a reason to decide it's worth all the effort it must take to take something like a safe or large section of a call box and dump it in the river.

@@davidmatthews3093 Forgive me..... I was always led to believe that owning a bike was fun and the fact they're far more fuel efficient than cars was just a small bonus. I didn't realise that so many bikers out there were counting the change in their pockets. If you're that worried about fuel consumption, buy a Tesla. The vast, I repeat vast majority of bikers don't care about mpg. They only care about performance, looks and sounds. The minority that care about fuel consumption are couriers and people that are too poor to afford a car, neither of which are passionate about biking and therefore not considered 'bikers'.
I revert to my original comment that I'm shocked to see people complaining about fuel consumption on a bike channel. Surely those sort of complaints should be directed towards whatever TH-cam channels post content about the cheapest way to commute to work?
Anyway, I'll leave you to think about your bank balance every time you twist your right hand and I'll continue enjoying my bikes (and bike channels) because they're fun.
