Pretty much same car but for some reason they always get shit on. I want to prove to people with the right mods and care, it should get some love from people.
Your important and rare opinion on the long-trip comfort between the Type R & BRZ is why I'm thankfully deciding to aim for the Type R again. I was wanting to go for the Nissan Z this year because it seemed like the ultimate driver's car, but I can tell it'll be as comfortable as the BRZ on a road trip lol. Type R for perfect do-it-all!

I don't think the gears are so long, in fact they are shorter than those on my VW Scirocco. When I saw a video of acceleration of the GR86 I was a bit surprised at how short they are
I left South Euclid, Ohio(near Cleveland) at 6am and made it to Madera, CA(near fresno) 10pm the next day back in 2016. I didnt own a cell phone, my dad sent me his old flip phone just in case of an emergency, and for directions i screen shotted pictures on my ipod from the map app. I looked to stop about 4-6 hrs on busy truck stops(and gas stations) for gas and bathroom breaks(never diverted far from the highway) and tried to be back on the road within 10-15 minutes. I carried two gallons of water, peanut butter and two loaves of wheat bread for whenever I started getting hungry and thirsty. I stopped at a loves truck stop for 2 hrs for a nap outside of Denver because I wanted to cross the area while it was visible and take in the beauty of the landscape and mountains. As extreme as i made the situation, i throughly enjoyed the experience but probably because i was driving a car loved(2000 em1).
I am the exact same way my last 2 cars I never cared about I didn't wreck them they just died but when I got my ST all I have done is absolutely baby the car yes I have fun in it but it's scarce I love this car and the last thing I want is to lose it. I get major anxiety from everyone around I park super far away from everyone I don't mind the extra walk if it keeps others away from the car.

Most I ever did was back in my college days….1000 mile days back to back. CLE to OKC. then OKC to PHX on day 2. About 16 hrs both days with a $29/night motel sleep. Surprised I never got murdered. Now that I’m older I’ll never do 16hr drives again. Have fun bro!
