I disagree with you saying mvc mever should have hit the ps1. Many of us only had a ps1 and that was our only option. If you compared it to xsf on the ps1 this was a monumental achievement. Besides, it gave us some unique playing features that you cant find in other arcade perfect versions. It had ex cancels, and had a killer instinct type of round with unlimited assists. It also gave mega man a new super. While the tag team system was limited to just two unique characters, it was quite an accomplishment considering the severe ram restrictions on the ps1
All I have is a switch with me rn so I’ve just been sticking to the SF Anniversary Collection, but I really wanna try some of these Capcom vs games. Especially Capcom Vs SNK 2, I’ve heard lots of good things about that game. Good video!
I think you would enjoy doing a video on obscure arcade games, like matrimelee for the neo geo. or heck, a video about shmups on the neo geo! the neo geo arcade games are legendary. I never experienced them as a kid, but have been playing them for several years now. many of them never get old
I definitely need to play more Neo Geo SHMUPS. I eventually want to do a top SHMUPS list for every main console. I may or may not be working on one right now?????
Awesome video, except for one thing...Capcom vs. SNK 2 should have been number one! That game is amazing! SNK is so much better than Capcom despite the fact that I grew up playing Street Fighter and didn't touch an SNK fighting game until I was in college. Capcom vs. SNK 2 is so much better than any of the Marvel versus games. Personal opinions aside though lol this was a great video with lots of interesting information. Its entertaining and very well put together.
UMvC3 plays better than most if not all of its predecessors and has much better representation and references to both the Marvel and Capcom sides. This list feels a little nostalgia biased
I've been playing all these games for years and don't get me wrong, I love MvC3. As I said it really reignited the Capcom Vs series in the early 2010s which is definitely commendable. While I have an awesome time with UMvC3 I played all the other games, including ones that didn't make the list all within days of each other and that's just where it landed. Nostalgia is always a factor, but when I make these lists I put way more weight in gameplay, presentation, audio, and various other parts of the game. With fighting games gameplay is absolutely paramount and that's really where UMvC3 fell short compares to the other titles higher up.
