Well we already went with a TX. When we tested the Infiniti, I was surprised by how well I liked it, but unfortunately it’s just too small, like I was expecting it to be smaller on the inside compared to a TX, it was much smaller than we thought, but also still better than an MDX, you can barely fit a medium sized adult comfortably in the MDX. For us, the V6 felt nice but it wasn’t giving the punch we needed, especially like passing power, it had to downshift a lot and rev pretty high to get into the power-band which is typical for any N/A engine. The one-demand power in the TX500h is very addictive, and makes the car easier to live with especially when it’s full. I will say the Infiniti has more of a luxury old school vibe where it’s just soft and cushy, I really like the quilted dash on the Infiniti, while the TX is definitely sportier. Another thing that drew us to the TX was the adaptive suspension, rear wheel steering, cooled rear seats (very helpful during Texas summers) better fuel economy and a much better dealership experience, but I do have to comment Infiniti for actually starting to bring out competent products. I do feel it needs to be about 5 grand cheaper or have some sort of electrified powertrain to justify the price tag. In my opinion you get 75% of the car going with a Platinum Pathfinder and it will be cheaper, plus you could find some deals on the Pathfinder

It's pretty clear not EVERYONE wants something electrified. I agree, it'd be nice to have that option, but it's no reason to knock a car as majority of sales are still not electrified. But also, let's keep the same energy and call out the corners Lexus cut with the TX. The entire side profile and panels/glass are shared with the GH and the fact that the interior is mostly black no matter the trim and the interior overall is just not all that nice design wise. I think Nissan/Infiniti did a better job differentiating the two models considering they have way more financial restraints than Toyota/Lexus. The Pathfinder and QX60 share no exterior panels and have different rooflines and the materials and design of the interior are much better in the QX. Obviously the powertrians is where Toyota/Lexus have the upper hand, offering more options.
I’d take the qx60 hands down over the tx or GH or even the RX. The powertrain options are just lackluster on the tx. For example the base 350 turbo as sofyan said is very slow. To achieve the same performance as the qx60 you have to get the 500hv but that’s $70k starting and comparably equipped would be almost 80K. The 550h+ is over $80k starting and that’s the only way to get the Camrys 3.5L naturally aspirated v6 The tx looks worse inside and out no features and it doesn’t drive that great
I get what you’re saying but you have to sacrifice something to gain something. Yes the TX look similar from the side, and they actually share less parts than most people think, but in order to give you the room, the TX has to be very boxy, If they went in the typical Lexus design it will result in way less room, take a look at the MDX and Pilot, to get that sporty look, the MDX has to sacrifice a lot of room.

Give Nissan credit. No hybrid, no ev, no cylinder deactivation, no non-defeatable stop-start, no engine cut off or other BS that Honda and Toyota keep heaping on their V6 engines. At least Infiniti/Nissan allows the driver of this vehicle (or the person paying for it) to have the rig set up the way he/she likes it. Honda and Toyota constantly interfere and prevent one from enjoying the vehicle. At least Toyota is getting its act together and announcing to the world that CO2 is not a poisonous gas, that the global warming crisis is just another manufactured population control Artifice. Hence, it will not be introducing any more or new EVs which are a waste of time, money and cause irreparable environmental damage. One other point in Nissan/Infiniti's favor is that it still produces genuine high output sports cars and sedans. Acura sells garbage these days, and Toyota as well; both having abrogated their customer performance alternatives.

Infiniti is clearly so far lost. This is just a pathfinder, literally every aspect is the same. Look at the Grand Highlander and the TX and the Pilot and the MDX. They may look alike but if you see their specs they are so much different from each other for what they are. Infiniti just needs to call it quits.
why do you keep comparing it to the Pathfinder. They are two completely different vehicles going after two different markets. Compare it to the Lexus RX or maybe the Acura MDX, or even the new Mazda CX-90.
Nice but...most vehicles on the road are...unibodies. I mean they're basically all the same. One smash and they're finished. You're better getting a cheap unibody. What would you rather lose? A $40,000 SUV or an $80,000 SUV. good luck!

The step in isn’t bad. But, the A pillar encroaches on your headroom, and the egress is pretty annoying as it’s a leap over the lower door sill.
Piano black touch buttons.. seriously. That gauge cluster screen is so laggy
the front reminds me of the mach e and refreshed ford escape
Nissian finally changed the key after 23 years....
Mr Bey, say your opinion on the vehicle. Don't let viewers decide. That is why we watch videos.
I like ❤
At this price point, Lincoln aviator all day
One of the better designed vehicles on the road - a Japanese Range Rover profile. Interior - top notch. Video does not do it justice. Brand is under valued -
When will u be testing the 2024 BMW X1 M35i?
That's quite the price! Yikes. I think I'd go with Lexus over this.
Yeah no you wouldn’t and indeed you really shouldn’t 😂
The tx is nowhere near as attractive or as luxurious as the qx60. And it lacks so many features. Plus who even cares about fuel economy in a luxury car…? Plus a comparably performing TX to the v6 qx60 would be at least $70K😂. The base 350 is significantly slower yet it’s also more expensive to start with than a qx60
You're a smart man Keith
The only thing is Lexus equivalent is only a 4 cylinder with turbo. A lot of car and weight to push with a 4 cylinder
@@puma51921 and the turbo 4 TX and RX are dogs in Performance 😆. And they sound horrible. And they’re also overpriced
Wait Infinity still makes Vehicles 😮
Yes they do and far better vehicles than the comparable Mercedes and Audi competitors😁
Trailing right behind Acura and the #1 automaker, known as LEXUS
Ever heard of lexus?
@@damianr7433 How is this better than a Mercedes or Audi?
@JDns-we4fw I agree, but to be fair Lexus' lineup is about half Toyota based now. The IS, RC, LS and LC are not Toyota's in drag.
If you really must have this, then get a Pathfinder Platinum and save 15k. Almost identical, including a lot of the same trim pieces.
Agreed, I have a 22 pathfinder that I really like. I recently shopped for an additional SUV, test drove this, and knew in 2 minutes that I wasn't interested and went with the Lexus TX.
And the Nissan Pathfinder runs on regular gas.
Thanks for the review 🥴I'm still trying to find the $70,000 in that vehicle
I wouldn't get this, and i say that as a very happy owner of a 22 Pathfinder.
I really wish the moonroof was an option and not standard. Not everyone likes moonroofs.
Seriously old and outdated powertrain with terrible MPG. WTF Nissan/Infiniti? Nissan developed a Hybrid powertrain with this V6 and rather than improving that powertrain, they decided to scrap the High Performance Hybrid and go backwards to this ICE V6. This car Should have a 400HP Hybrid powertrain that gets 35MPG. You will be lucky to get 15mpg city with this car.
I’m not feeling that exposed rear wiper they could have tucked it in under that rear roof spoiler… what a waste of space and it could have looked better
The Lincoln Aviator is the only other luxury midsize SUV besides the Lexus RX to hide the rear wiper and yeah the glass looks cleaner for sure
@@normanli7085New Nautilus as well!

Wow, what's truly amazing is Infiti's ability to keep selling this platform. Great review, but ... she's a yawner .
20inch wheel on top trim little smalll competition in this class going 22 inch wheel
Like that it has the v6, otherwise very underwhelming....
Honestly, infiniti should focus their efforts on redesigning the g60 sedan.
But it’s nowhere near as underwhelming as especially the Lexus RX or tx
@@naveenthemachineI see, just typical maveen finding every opportunity to bash Toyota /Lexus.
Nissan hasn't been relevant since the 96 Maxima. Now it's unreliable trash 🗑️
@@naveenthemachineyou're not getting up to date styling, tech or powertrains in this like you get on the rx or tx.
Other than having a non turbo engine, those vehicles run circles around this SUV.
Infiniti should focus their efforts on redesigning hyundai/geneis G60? Lolol
Acura sells garbage these days, and Toyota as well; both having abrogated their customer performance alternatives.
take that 3.5 vs the smaller turbos no doubt
$70k tho… in what world does this compete with a Genesis GV80 for the price? Or if you wanna go Japanese and for cheaper what about the Mazda CX-90?
Infiniti needs to charge for the “premium” sector between luxury and generic car brands
MDX and RX/TX floods the road, compared to this
It's about the torque Mr. Auto engineer. You pay for horsepower and use the torque!
why do you keep comparing it to the Pathfinder. They are two completely different vehicles going after two different markets. Compare it to the Lexus RX or maybe the Acura MDX, or even the new Mazda CX-90.
Why would anyone get this over the CX90 Turbo S?
Nice but...most vehicles on the road are...unibodies. I mean they're basically all the same. One smash and they're finished. You're better getting a cheap unibody. What would you rather lose? A $40,000 SUV or an $80,000 SUV. good luck!
I think it looks similar to the Highlander ! They all seem to swap spit & sell architect drawings because they all seem the same ??!! Sum would be a better choice if they went port & direct injection like the Highlander , don't want them to carbon up ! Care care nut or AMD Says to be careful & keep up on maintenance & check the valves ! The direct fuel injection not the greatest on those motors for long mileage ! Good if you get rid of it at 100.000
Still slower than a ST Ford explorer but cost more money explorer has 400 hp 0-60 5 seconds
U just prove in ur second part that's the reason why it's slower lol
@@normanli7085 ford explorer will smoke it people are tuning the st and getting 10 second quarter mile times and 0-60 from 5 seconds to like 3.9 seconds infinity will stand no chance ford cars make more torque
@@Griffith861 Yeah and the only reason why they are doing it is because they are jealous that SRT Hellcat still exists in the Dodge Durango. Even though the Durango is old, it still smokes the new explorer.

Where's the q50?
Zf 9 speed super unrefined. Lots of weird quirks while fluid comes to temperature. Not sure why Nissan picked it up at the same time other manufacturers were phasing it out!? 🤔 I hate my 2022 pathfinder
These are absolute garbage for their price point!!! Why would you buy this over a Lexus TX, MDX, GV80 or even a Pallaside Calligraphy or a top of the line Grand Highlander. Factor in it's monster depreciation and average reliability and it's a mediocre product at best.😅😅
I would get the qx60 over the Lexus RX or TX hands down. Both of them are truly mediocre compared to the qx60
Hi Rez, you're right. This is garbage 🗑️ compared to the Lexus. 👎
@@naveenthemachineI don't love Toyota/Lexus. But the QX60 makes the TX look like a steal!!
@@RezandJen no it doesn’t... It really doesn’t 😂…
The tx at 70k gets the same performance as the cheapest qx60 and at the top end you don’t have the same features as the qx60
Shouldn't this vehicle be compared to the Lexus RX instead of the TX.
Don't like the black plastic around the car they should have painted those pieces black. That's the only thing that would have made the sale.
Geezus they didn’t even bother to change the key fob. They are in last place in luxury if they can’t even bother with the little things. If i am buying a luxury car my key fob better not look like a cheap nissan, let alone the old ass engine

If this requires premium fuel.. no thanks and that dash display and steering wheel both look like they were taken out of the newer rogue.
Does not require premium fuel. Sofyan has that wrong. “Recommended” is not the same as required.
This is why I hate car reviews from people like him ..
First of all this vehicle has not been on the market for no more than 2 years .. Not *”couple of years”*
Secondly nobody asked how old the engine was .. All manufacturers including Toyota uses old engines and just revise them for better power and fuel efficiency so I have no idea why you mentioned that ..
Lastly if you dislike a brand stop reviewing their vehicles .. If you are going to be bias about everything of the vehicle ..
You’re a bad car reviewer and this why I would never believe a word that you say !!!
This guy never has anything positive to say about infiniti. Why bother even reviewing their models? 🤦♂️
Because infiniti is so easy to fault
But tbh this suv is decently executed for what it is
