My VQ V6 on my FX35 still runs like a dream. The car looks new after 110K miles and 12 years of ownership. It was built in Japan and it shows. Hoping it will go another 100K miles before anything major goes wrong. I couldn't bring myself to repurchase another Infiniti anyway. Last time I test drove the QX60, it felt like a minivan.
@@Jonathan-bk3dq has anyone actually broken down the engine showing where it failed cause this guy actually broke down a 1.5 ltr engine out a Rogue showing where it failed and it was because the person did not change and actually put the wrong oil in the engine .. But Nissan still replaced the engine .. Although its not as bad as Toyota .. But again I rather see proof of the engine break down and see the problem than someone saying it would fail .. Like actual proof ..
What about the price of a Range Rover Velar with a 4cyl and almost $75k or more with options.... looks way more boring. I have the 23 QX60. Love the car, the V6, and all comforts.

I just saw it again and damn, it is really beautiful. No gloss black plastic thrown around the center console, no cheap wood on the dash, just soft materials everywhere, nice leather-looking surfaces everywhere you look and touch, feels soft. I like this interior a lot more than what Lexus and Acura are putting out nowadays, I’ll say that.

Listen, im in an engineering field so I know I may have a different mindset. The thing is that '4 bangers' are not quite what you think. In 2025 there have been some impressive improvements and 4cs have substantially increased efficiency, power, and longevity. The primary loss are features such as sound and feel of a 6 or 8 cylinder. However I would try to consider that there are 4 cylinders that are much more powerful in hp and torque than even their 6c counterparts, while having much better fuel efficiency.
The hilarious thing is that this variable displacement 4 cylinder doesn't even get better mileage than the V6! Introducing more failure points and a worse sound...wow.
I really wanted to buy this car in the next few months, but now they really spoiled it for me. I have to look at a used one or just forget about the QX60. I will Never buy such a big car with a 4 cylinder turbo, I don't need to spend my time and money at the garage
I was in love with the QX60 and was planning on leasing the Autograph when my 2023 Infiniti QX50 lease was up. Now, with them replacing the engine with the same as what I have now, I’m probably not going to do that. Especially since they kept the prices the same as when they had the V6 in it. So I’ll probably stick with my QX50 for now and eventually look into upgrading to the QX80 in the future.
In the early 2000s, Nissan implemented their Revival plan and part of it was for Infiniti to set their sights on BMW. That is when they came up with the G35/G37. Although not perfect, the G35 did give the BMW 3 Series a good run for their money. It stole quite a few sales away from the German brand, and it did well for about a decade. Somewhere along the way, Infiniti lost their way and their identity got lost. I suspect Nissan’s introduction of their dreaded CVTs into some Infiniti models had something to do with it… Now, who knows how much longer it will last. It’s a shame because Nissan had a good thing going there for a while. I once owned a 2008 G35 sedan. I loved that car!
I had a 2004 G35. I loved that car. It had catlike reflexes. I crashed it and I cried cuz it was totaled. And OMG do I still miss it. I was 23 when I bought it. A kid driving a fancy Infiniti at the time.
Infinity making bad choices once again. The 2.0 L is too small but displacement for that big vehicle. They should’ve invested money into a hybrid system with the V6. or redo their 2.5 L four-cylinder and convert that to a turbo system. Also, they could easily make a sport version since infinity used to be the sportier option compared to Lexus. Putting the 3 L twin turbo in the QX 60 would’ve been an amazing sport three row SUV. They often forget that they’re competing against Acura and Lexus, and they always make bad decisions and come up short resulting in poor sales.

Lost me at 4cyl turbo. Worse reliability over the long haul. I’m definitely Not a fan of these mid size SUVs going to small displacement engines. Just not an ideal pairing for vehicles of this size, and definitely not in this price class. Looks like I’ll be staying in the Acura fold for now until they downsize their engines too.

The Bose systems in the Nissans have really lost their punch. Too bad. It’s ok looking outside but it’s not very stylish. The interior is beautiful. I wish everyone would just drop the auto stop/start as it doesn’t save enough gas to pay for the extra starters and batteries you’ll have to buy because the stop/start wears them out way quicker…
Nice interior. I Wouldn't be surprised if this turbo engine is heavier on gas than the v6. I would take a fully loaded Mazda CX90 over this. With almost 100 more horses, fuel economy the same or better, and the interior is nearly as luxurious.

I think Infiniti is on a suicide mission. Nissan could have left the venerable 3.5 V6 or put in the excellent 3.0L turbo V6. Why use that questionable (in terms of reliability) 2.0L V-C turbo in a large three row luxury SUV? I wouldn't be surprised if Nissan goes belly up in the next 7 - 10 years due to poor decision making.

At least this interior looks luxury unlike the TX. The 500h sport is the only acceptable model of that car but the interior looks 30k cheaper than this. Also gotta give props to infiniti for not having two screens glued together But i think the mazda cx90 is better than this and the Lexus

I think many people will notice a 4 cylinder is in it then may not go for it since the V6 is gone... and then most people will know about it after the vehicle doesn't last as long as the V6... or just keeps breaking or recalls make it a fast known thing... then sales may slump and the V6 is back like other brands realize they needed... Lexus GX for instance started out with a 4... people complained and the V6 was added... well Lexus is a vehicle purchased more so than Infiniti ....LOL

Infiniti should have never discontinued the FX/QX70.
There have been issues with the new 2.0 VC turbo. The old 3.5 V6 was reliable and proven. There goes the QX60's reliability.
Never heard any issues with the 2.0 turbo only the 1.5 that they chose to put in the Rogue for some strange reason

At least this interior looks luxury unlike the TX. The 500h sport is the only acceptable model of that car but the interior looks 30k cheaper than this. Also gotta give props to infiniti for not having two screens glued together
But i think the mazda cx90 is better than this and the Lexus

I think many people will notice a 4 cylinder is in it then may not go for it since the V6 is gone... and then most people will know about it after the vehicle doesn't last as long as the V6... or just keeps breaking or recalls make it a fast known thing... then sales may slump and the V6 is back like other brands realize they needed... Lexus GX for instance started out with a 4... people complained and the V6 was added... well Lexus is a vehicle purchased more so than Infiniti ....LOL
