You are doing a great job putting your van together. I've watched several dozen people on youtube put together a bus or camper van together to live in and travel in through the years. The biggest thing is to put in a vent in the ceiling (preferably with a fan) to air out the moisture outside the van, so it doesn't build up inside the van (bedding and ceiling) and cause mildew and mold inside.
Leena, you can't imagine how inspiring you are to me. I want to move from Germany to Norway too and lack patience sometimes. Through your videos, I have learned that good things take time and that we have the power to live our life to the fullest. May only good things cross your path!

It's so much of a relief to have an indoor space with above 0°C while working on anything really. It's winter 8 months of the year where I live as well and I do not have a garage, so most car related maintenance I just pay for instead. I'd like to do more of it, it's just very impractical and I don't even have a hard and leveled surface to place the car.
So a garage is high on my want list, but you also learn to live with what you got.

You both did an awesome job on your van! It looks like a cozy cabin with the warm wooden tones. Spring has finally arrived in the north and Joachim's indoor plants are coming to life with new growth. Your daily life is what I dream for me and my family. Unfortunately we stick with the productivity, the consumism and the office jobs. I have a 1 year child and since she was born I started to feel a call by the nature. During the night when I can't sleep I think to the norway like a dream. I spent 10 days in tromso, honnysgvag, trondheim, etc... It was a peaceful heaven.
Thanks to your videos I can enjoy the simple and significant life you are living. Thanks fir sharing such a valuable moments. I love you.

It might be a bit late to suggest this. But…. I wish you would wear eye protection when using any of the saws. I once had a tiny wood chip fly into my eye. Every time I blinked it scratched my eyeball. Incredibly painful and I ended up having to go to the emergency at the hospital. Just a cautionary tale for you ❣️

Here in Montreal, there has been a tug of war between Winter and Spring. One day Mother Nature gives us warmth and sun, and the next she drops snow on us still. I think Mother Nature is having "Issues" right now. She does not seem to know which way she wants to go !! But We've been swinging between minus and positive double digits for the last little while. By Friday we may see (23c) Woo Hoo !!

Hallo Lena, für die Doppelsitzbank gibt es eine Drehkonsole zum nachträglichen Einbau, dann wäre diese gleichzeitig gemütliche Sitzbank für Joachim und der Platz für die von dir geplante Bank wäre frei.
