- Big changes are currently happening in our family. After a long period of waiting, our new family member Alva is finally moving in and bringing a whole new energy with her. And while we're all still adjusting and getting to know each other, Christmas is coming closer and we're working on high performance for our art shop and very first market. Never crazy to travel far for an animal. I drove from Ohio to Georgia (12 hour drive) for our rescue boy. Also a second dog for us. He fits our family perfect. ❤

I never thought that i would cry my eyes out for the story of a new pup but here we are! This scared and precious soul slowly coming home was really something so tender and beautiful to watch! Thank you for sharing this with us! Have a wonderful life together!

Alva is a sweet-nature, beautiful dog! 🐕❤It's wonderful how you gave her some space to adjust to her new surroundings. How she slowly came out of her safe box and tentatively approached you reminded me of "the Little Prince taming the 🦊 fox..."but if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you shall be unique in all the world...to you, I shall be unique in all the world...it will be as if the sun came to shine on my life. I shall know the step that will be different from all the others."Introducing Ivy to Alva was quite sweet too. Now they're best buddies, playing in the snow or curled up together. Enjoy your little family while you paint your Christmas wooden orbs.

I don't think it's crazy to follow a feeling and picking up a pet far away without having seen it in real life... your gut feeling told you she would be the perfect fit, and that's exactly what happened 😊
When I adopted my cat from a shelter a few years ago, I had seen a picture of her on the shelter website and somehow I could not get her out of my mind, even though she was not what I originally was looking for (single shy cat, I wanted to get 2 cats, and tabby cats were my least favourite before). So I went there anyways to have a look, and when I saw her... it was a moment I will never forget. The shelter lady said shes shy and doesn't like to be touched and that she had been there for a while and nobody wanted her, cause of the shyness and only being a single cat (she is stressed out by other cats). She was sitting on a small cat tree. All of the sudden she jumped down, walked up to my legs and rubbed herself on them. She had never done that with anyone before and I knew we were ment to be together.
She slowly warmed up to me over the years, she now likes to snuggle, I'm allowed to touch her belly (a critical spot😂) and I taught her to sit and give paw, smart girl! So this is just my little story, I also followed my feeling back then 😊
The snowy winter landscapes look so magical, if I had that, I think I would feel the same way every years as well, the beauty of nature is something we will never get tired of... We don't get much snow here, but it is supposed to start snowing this weekend, hopefully some of it will stay long enough for a forest walk.

It's never too far to go to bring home a loved one! And she is now loved, by all three of you! My Isabela lost her sister Francesca, and was lonely for doggie play and when I least expected it a pup came into our lives. His name is Jimmy and though they are different breeds, they have the same coloring and play together so happily! You did Ivy and Alva good! Doggies play best together!
This made me feel real joy for the first time in a while. Just seeing a life get an opportunity to live. I enjoyed.

Good Luck as you start a Christmas with a new dog. I love dogs and at this point we have pair of them. One of our dogs have a lump taken out his stomach and he doing well. We are very lucky to have found it in the very beginning, Have Great Christmas. thanks

Alva looks just like Ivy but darker 😍 So happy for her and for you to have each other. My mom adopted a street dog from Russia a few years ago. Her name is Kira and she is everything to us. Keeping my fingers crossed that the market will be a big success for you as weell 🥰

Alva is a lovely dog. It was so sweet to see her learn to trust you and finally give you a kiss. So sweet and adorable. I love that. I just lost my oldest dog Pippin. He was 1 week shy of his 16th birthday. He became sick with his kidneys. I said goodbye to him yesterday and released his spirit to the other side. My heart is broken and I will miss him forever.

I like the way you and your new dog (sorry, forgot name) just experienced each other. I have been feeding a wild cat family of four, but two weeks ago the mamma cat and one of adolescent kids either got lost or animal control got them so now there are two adolescent cats I am feeding. They are not really feral nor are they strays but in between. They have never been touched by humans and they won’t let me touch them. They sleep on my patio but during the day they are out and about, they might not make it back one of these days.
Alva is so perfect for the three of you. Seeing her open to you was so sweet.
