This is where characters like Mirio who trained even with a crappy quirk in order to make it better or Asta from black clover who even though had no magic trained so he became very muscular to compensate for that. Another thing that bugs me about his character is that it’s quite bland. He really has no noticeable traits that set him apart and fights that he is in he only seems to win because of plot armour. Against an actual villain Deku has never lost even though he really should of. Muscular is a great example that fight felt like bullshit when he just so happens to whip out 1,000,000% or in the overhaul fight when he has Eri there to help and even though they say she can’t control her quirk she did throughout that entire fight and only lost control at the end when Overhaul was beaten and Azaiwa was there to stop her quirk
When talking about liberation it made me remember One Piece and the scene when we discovered Roger s reaction when discovering the deep legacy left by joy boy : He laughed exactly like shigaraki (butt less creepy)
What I liked about redestro was that he was suppose to be the symbol of freedom and he embraced it but he never experienced freedom. In one of the chapters they show some glimpse of his past and about how followers of destro seeked out redestro and sort of forced this role onto him. When fighting shigaraki I feel like shigaraki was the first person to make redestro feel liberated from his role in a symbolic way. Redestro hated shigaraki because he simply wanted to destroy and doesn't create anything but when shigaraki was destroying the liberation army it's like the weight of responsibility on redestro's shoulder is being taken away. Not saying that redestro hated the liberation army but just looking at redestro's character i get the feeling that he was extremely stressed about not being able to fill the role destro was able to. I want to see more from redestro because he's not really an evil character. I remember my history teacher asks our class a question and it was something along the line of "what is the difference between a revolutionist and a terrorist." and the answer he told us is that there is no difference but the victor is the one who decides wether one is a revolutionist or terrorist.
Something that our lovely Ocean Man touched on, Redestro's power is completely defined by his rage, anger, and sadness over what he views as a broken system governing quirks. Because of this, without Shigaraki, Redestro would have never had the power to fulfill his dream, nor the ability to experience it. Without the broken system to rebel against, Redestro would be no stronger than a quirkless man. The closer his dream came to fruition, the less power he would have to make it a reality. And even if his dream did become reality, he would never be able to use his quirk to its fullest without restriction like his family fought for generations to do. He could only ever be powerless in his utopia for the powerful, or powerful in the world where the powerful are restrained. Sure, normal stress might make him slightly more powerful than the average Joe, but the people of the MLA don't want to be average or slightly above average.
It feels like re-destro's quirk was specifically designed (probably through quirk marriage) to have the power to destroy the current world order, but then for him to be basically useless afterwards when he completes his goal. Although, I don't think the MLA want a world where the powerful rule. Only a world where people can use quirks without restrictions. That's kinda what separate's them from nine and his gang.

@Nacho Jar Studios Is this a real hashtag? I hope it is XD
@Nacho Jar Studios Ah....should have known
@Nacho Jar Studios That hashtag he also made for people who cant take criticism on My Hero Academia and are against complaints of people who dont agree with aspects of the story. Nux Taku himself despises Midoriya's role as the main character.
@Nacho Jar Studios Yes, for them and for the ones i mentioned too, for both alike.
he's still active
kind of
i didnt know doof was in mha
I personally think he’s a better villain in the series than Overhaul...
Agreed. The rat scene was very important and explained hos motivation better. Why they removed it is beyond me.
@@tayojones9460 whats the rat scene?
Kaizer it’s overhaul’s theory on how quirks came into existence , and that it all stems from rats spreading a disease that lead to a genetic change to the society in the past.
This indicates that overhaul sees quirks as diseases and explains why he is trying to make quirk-erasing and quirk-enhancing bullets, in order to remove the “diseased” part of society.
@@sesereddead465 So in other words, he wants to overhaul society.
elrapido5150 clever, and basically yes, that is what his plan boils down to
"he loses relevence after one arc"
ahem.
Overhaul?
damn dr doofenshmirtz was taken seriously at one point in his career, love to see it
Doofenshmirtz glow up.
Love the parallel between Overhaul/Deku and Shiggy/ReDestro
What do you mean by parallel
@@josiahademiluyi4677 Shie Hassaikai vs Deku, Kirishima, Uraraka and Tsuyu agencies is like Meta Liberation Army vs League of Villains
I love overhaul he’s Just a good Villain
Overhaul: Can kill with a touch
ReDestro: Amplifies his body via percentages
Both Shiggy and Deku fight an alternative version of themselves. Clever Horikoshi clever….
@@shooterDisease Not only a parallel, but one that is superior to their counterpart at the time.
this is 2021 and i'm here because of Dr.Doofenshmirtz
