Actual Description.
I have been on an XP once before, but I just puttered around on it. This time I take one out and thrash it real good.

I don’t know a lot about hull design either, wish I knew more but I do know that the x4 hull design is really fun. 👍

Good video. I have been working on fixing up a 1995 xp I got from a co worker super cheap because he thought the engine was locked up. Really looking forward to trying it out.

You should make a custom steering system for that thing. The uni ones are really sought after and they cost $600+. I remember thinking if the steering was angled more like the x2 it would be about perfect.

Then just make him buy all the nice stuff haha. I guess my x2 came with umi steering. I think it's just about right. I think I'm going to make taller seat foam and call it good as far as the rider position on my x2.

Who needs a spark trixx when you have an xp?
Haha... I've ridden a brand new spark trix in 2019. A dealer demo, and altho it was fun, I would rather have the XP. The Spark is very refined, quiet and just works ... but it all seems a little boring, to be honest. It's too easy. 🤷♂️
Hoping you don't have a Spark and I've just hurt your feelings, lol.
My uncle has 5 jet skis and 2 are sea do xp, 1 is a sp and wow they are great

For sure. The XP is a great ski for anyone. It's pretty easy to ride, yet you can have a lot of fun on it and it will allow you to build confidence quickly.

@@JoelArseneaultTH-cam yes every time I drive 6 hours to my cottage for it we only get a little bit of use before it breaks and have to fix it
@@iz-real9265 That sounds like a pain. Engine issues ? I know my buddies had a centre seal leak that causes it to smoke a lot if it sits for a while, and the engine mounts loosened up... but other than that it seems to always start and run flawlessly.
I know they also have fuel like and fuel tank issues on some of them... but I think that was before the 800 🤷♂️
@@JoelArseneaultTH-cam my dad and I don't know much about the thing so we get others to fix it but the one time there wasn't a grate on the bottom and the thing let in all the water it was basically under water. I think my dad will probably get fed up and invest in a reliable seadoo
@@iz-real9265 Yeah, if you're not able to do the work yourself, then it makes sense to get something that isn't going to be problematic. They are supposed to be fun and relaxing, and dealing with a broken ski is neither of those things.
IS THAT A 720 or 800? does the 720 get boring?
It's a 720. I think it gets boring on an open lake, but I think the 800 would as well. That's just me tho. If you're out with a group, it's a lot more fun, or if you have buoys or some sort of course.
@@JoelArseneaultTH-cam funny. Yeah I know what mean. I have 100 mph speed boats and to be honest, on a flat lake unless u r willing to gamble going so fast that u blow over, even running flat out at 100mph is boring after a minute
@@seekthetruth824 Yup... the acceleration is kinda exciting, but speed on flat water doesn't do it for me. I just swapped a 1100 triple into my X2 and it is exciting, haha.
I’ve got a 720 it’s fun to go out a mess around for a bit and do a few laps around the lake. I’m also not much slower than my friends with 800s. I’d prefer to have a bigger ski as well such as a gtx/gti but I do love how I can toss around my xp. Nothing like the Yamaha 1800 4strokes I’m used to

Mr Moonlight. Please do explain yourself, as I am a little confused by your words.
First off. If you're going to make a claim that something is stupid, you should make an attempt at writing a complete and understandable sentence 😂. I'm just fucking with ya... I'm no linguist myself. Do you mean that my helmet is stupid or that all helmets are stupid.... or perhaps wearing a helmet on a Jet Ski is stupid?
I wear a helmet mainly because it's a good place to mount a camera. I have used a head band thing but it moves around, makes noice and sometimes falls off.
Also, I am quite comfortable wearing a helmet as I ride BMX and DH MTB and I always wear a helmet when biking. It also hides my stupid face and stupid hair so it's a good trade off.

@@CP-kb1du I honestly like wearing a helmet and it's a great place to mount a camera. I also think it looks cool... but that's personal taste.
