Well I bought one and after a few days of installing it, most of the time it went offline.. I f Hope they improve on the wifi connectivity in the future. Whilst other devices received 100% connectivity from the same distance, this camera won't get the same signal strength.
Just FYI - Most of these devices will not connect to a 5 GHz Band Wifi, so be very careful before you buy the product - Make sure your phone can connect to a 2.4 GHz wifi, before you buy some of these products and if possible confirm w/ the manufacturer. I learned this the hard way :(
Sam I've never had my own WiFi. So I don't know how a rotor even works. All I've ever used is free WiFi so you have no use of a rotor. What I'm trying to figure out is in the set up of the camera does it want you to enter a password of a rotor?
@stevenpaulk8788 I think you need someone help you with setting up the camera. A family member or friend that has technical knowledge could be your best bet to get your camera setup. Sometimes your public Library has people that can help you by explaining what needs to be done. The proper name is Router, not rotor, just for your information. Because of the password requirement, you may not be able to setup the camera with your existing public WIFI signal. The camera is programmed to require a password, if no password, you can not advance to connecting the camera. I am sorry it is that way.
I recently bought a lightbulb camera but even if I follow the step by step instructions it won't add to the device. Does any one have any solution for this? Thanks very much !
Ok sam in one of your videos you had wrote something about a hotspot. So I looked into that and wondering if I used my phones hotspot feature? This allows my phone to act as a mini WiFi router. Would this work in setting up this camera. It has its own name and password?
Yes, you can set your phone to a hotspot feature and that will generate a password. When you set up hotspot it will generate a alphabet soup type password. You can just change that to whatever you want that is easy. Try the hotspot feature
@Chefranger you may have issues with the wife signal strength. Walls and other things is really be a big problem. Just because you want the camera in a certain location does not mean it will fully work. You have to test locations and either move the router or the camera closer. I have found that the signal will travel a max 50 or 60 feet. Add 2 or 3 walls or doors and you can cut that down some. Do some testing and you will find the best location that your camera will work.
How do you delete footage stored on the device that was taken prior to inserting the sd card? I do not have a cloud storage subscription. I messaged the app 3 days ago but they have not responded. Thanks in advance.
@angelakincaid7209 all of the cameras data is stored on the memory card. Remove the memory card and put it into your computer memory card reader slot. You will be able to move video or delete video from the card. Then put card back in camera. One other way to delete all of the videos on the card is to format the memory card.
IMPORTANT: Hello, excuse my English, I speak French, can you test this in your car started and with bluetooth activated. Very questionable software at risk?? when I am in my car, and my bluetooth is automatically activated for the car, and I start the symynelec application, my cell phone makes a call to the number 1000000...and I cannot hang up my phone until the my symynelec camera application is open, I need to close the symynelec camera application to be able to recover my telephone line?? why every time I start the application, my cell phone makes a call, can you answer
Yes, but you need to set the camera paramiters like Record video all the time. Once set, you can turn off wifi to it and then you can manually point camera to area to record. When you want to view video, remove memory card stick in computer and view away. Put it back in the camera when finished or a new one. A new one may require you to connect back up to wifi in order to format new card. Use the all one, you don't have to delete the video, it will record over the video with new video.
@samowens44 Thank you. I appreciate the response. Your content has been very helpful. I wanted to try this camera because it's waterproof and it will be outside. I'll make sure to use the link you provided.
@user-rt8mg6is3s Look at my video at 10 min 53 sec and you will see my Qr Code on my camera. I don't know what to tell you if you don't have that code. It is necessary to link the camera.
It works great but i dont want my outside light coming ON every single time someone walks by or drive by. I would rather the light not come on. The camera clarity is sufficient enough that you dont HAVE to have the light ON like that. I want incognito
@user-fd3wt1hu6f I know what you are going through. Mine did the same thing until I looked at all the settings. Well I could not find the setting under the settings that control that light. I finally looked real close to the first sign in page for the app and underneath the SN-P6-B there is the Light swi... on or off. That is the light switch, click it and it will turn off. Click it again and it will turn on. Are you happy now, I know you found it and clicked it. There is no mention anywhere about that control. To all find it and click it off, neighbors don't like the light coming on all the time.😀
@@mywa8314 On the first screen you see the screen view, click on the rooftop with two lines under. Located bottom right. With your finger scroll up till you see "Light" Click on it. What a great job thank you. You are getting an awful lot of advertisement in your videos
What a great tutorial video.
Thank you for the video! I am going to buy it. How far can this camera detect?
Hooking up a second camera, is it pretty much the same procedure?
Should be, have not done that task before. You go through adding a camera procedure.

If I put this outside, will this handle rain snow cold ?
Yes the camera has waterproof features.

Well think about it. How is it stored on the camera if you didn't have a SD card? You can't delete what's not there.
@@samowens44 dude she just said she didn't have a SD card. Memory is either on the SD card or in the cloud. There no other place to store anything.
Question does this light bulb camera comes with a Sim card?
No SIM card

I understand that to be a bad issue. Sorry I have no answer to solve the problem.
Is the software free or a by month or yearly subscription?
Free app.
Question. Can you use with public wifi? Or do you haft to have your own wifi with your own router?
You can access your camera from any WiFi after you set it up on a WiFi router. Also has to be 2.4gig snd not 5g.
@@samowens44 so does that mean I haft to get my own WiFi and a router to set this up
