    I couldn’t find my previous update, but I was able to get the camera up and going on the android and share it with the iPhone but before it was on the iPhone and I had no problem until the update. Either way I got it back working.

    All good, I got twisting wires around screws, safety, plugging the cord in the wall. But I can’t get pass getting the app to pair with camera or work with the picture. I am hunting so more for app trouble shooting any help ! I ready to throw out in the yard ! lol

    OK Sam, you helped me out earlier, I got the camera working by connecting to a 2.4G router. Next question is how do I add a camera (device)? I have hit every button in settings and don't see anyway to add device

      @Lee Keen, when you are on the app in the beginning, it has a button to add a camera as the first thing to do. As you click this it directs you to point your camera with the QR code reader at the QR code on the Camera base. This is how your camera connects to the App, then you connect the App to your Wifi connection. That is when you will have access to the settings of the camera and do all the stuff to set the camera up to record all the time or only when movement is detected and how long you want the files and on and on. Hope this will get you started.

    Sam I hope you can help me troubleshoot this PTZ problem. While the camera works and PTZ can go up and down it cannot move side to side. I've tried resetting it several times, disconnected it, removed the app and reconnected it. I don't know what else to do to get it working again. Please advise.

      The App I am using is YI Lot it is the only App that works with lightbulb cam, that I know of.

    It's an E27 Socket my friend.
    You don't need a cloud my 2 what I bought for 27€ I put an SD card in both,
    They run perfectly.

    Hi Sam, I enjoyed your video. However, I have a question, is there way to lock the camera in the socket so that an intruder doesn’t unscrew the camera from socket? Brian - 6:10 UK, England

      Mount it higher and out of reach. Only way.

      @@maclaybill1967 I have had mine mounted under the eves of the house, open, but had no troubles. I have mounted it on a tree and remove it in threat of rain. There are models of tilt and pan cameras that are waterproof, they just do not have the screw in light socket type base for easy installation.

      I used a bit of glue from my gluegun on the one on my porch.
      I don't think they'll take time to Rob it if it doesn't screw out right away.

      @PattyHamlin you need to have your user guide for the camera. It will tell what App works with the camera. Only the the app designed will work. You need that app. The memory card is where all the video is stored. Good luck. Find my latest video for the lightbulb camera on my channel. Has 101 basics in the title.

      Work great. I got a new lightbulb camera that is waterproof. It also will rotate completely in a 360 circle. Look on my Amazon channel for it. Amazon.Com/shop/samowens

    I have the Aiwit HT50 light bulb camera. I reset it and everything works fine including the WiFi signal. But the ptz function is not doing anything when I try to move/adjust the camera position with the on screen function. Any idea what could be wrong ? Thanks for your time and assistance.

      Take the camera close to the WiFi router and see if it works good. I have found that you need a strong signal to do the Pan Tilt and zoom. You may be out of range. If it works fine near the router, then you know you are out of range. I suggest all folks should set the camera up close to the router to make sure all works, then move it to the location, if all does not work, then you need to move router or camera. walls doors and obstacles can cause issues. Try to make sure you have the least obsticles, I know it is hard, but that is what you have to do to get everything to work. You can just move the camera to position you want manually if the location is necessary. Best I can tell you.

      @@samowens44 thanks ! It was working great recently. Today it was out of its normal position and the ptz function just won't work. Strange that everything else is ok. 🤦 I'll have to try it closer to the wifi/router if it doesn't work soon. But I think it's ok with the signal. Because everything else works great.

      @michaelgreen9602 it will not matter which contact you connect to the wires. Just protect the bottom with tape or a cover, you do not want to touch the bottom when it is plugged into the wall outlet.

      The camera can only record video onto a Memory card inserted into the camera or Cloud service will give a lot more options for monitoring recorded video.

      @lastking32 they will all do that as a home location. You can turn the camera section to the view you want as the home location. Then home will not be the wall. Home will be the location you select.

      @@lastking3216 Just hold the base that goes in the a/c socket and move the camera section horizonal and vertical to the point you want to cover. Watch my video at the 13:40 min point of my video and you will see me talk and show how to move the camera by had. Lastking, I show all that you need to know of how to move the camera to the point you want to capture, then it will be the home position. Watch my video all the way through and you will really learn a lot, not skip anything, if you skip, that may be the info you need. Good luck. Remember, I have been where you are trying to get.

    I like the camera so far,I had it one week. My issue is that the camera does not go down it goes side to side and using the app but when I try to go down no matter how much I use the app it seems problematic I have to manually pull it back down if I take it up to far What can I do about that? I’ve emailed the app creator, and they referred me to Kami the maker of the camera. sister has the same camera and it goes up and down side to side with no problem so I’m going to send this one back and get another one and she’s not subscribed either. We both have SD card.

      @Jparker5025 My suggestion when your camera does not respond correctly, check for updates on the app. Next, reset the camera, using the reset button next to the Mem card slot. Paper clip and hold until the cam talks. Once reset, just go through the quick setup again. I have found, this will correct most issues. Good Luck.

      do not know the e27 base. Voltage is 120volts, no matter what base you use, but the bulb has to fit or be adapted.

    It's true you don't need a subscription (Cloud storage) for some lightbulb cameras but the problem I have is that the camera regularly beeps loudly which is very annoying.

      Have not heard that problem. I suggest reseting camera and reconnect to wifi. Once set up, you can go to router and click forget the lightbulb camera and it will not connect to your wifi if you just want it to record video and pull card to review video on your PC.

      @@samowens44 Ok I'll watch the video but the account is the one the App People give you for the duration of the trial period when they want you to take out a "Cloud subscription? The trial period lasts a couple of days. I don't need all the features the camera subscription offers. I just wanted a basic security camera with a permanent power source and the light bulb camera seemed the perfect choice. I was wrong.

    So you must have a cell phone to use the app.? correct? A desk top alone will not allow you to control the camera, Correct? The app will not down load to a desk top PC. Correct? I have WIFI in the house to stream the TV. You don't use your lap top to control the camera & you always use the cell phone which is wifi. So do you or do not need cell phone to operate the camera?

      The price of these camera suggest, for fun not true surveillance. To get the quality you are looking far will cost a great deal more than these cameras type. they are best to have them record all the time and then go look at video for time frame of activity you want to check. Just have fun with it.

      @Cubiehollie1909 here are some important things you need to do. First have the camera very near the WiFi modem. Next have your cell phone accessing the same wifi you are trying to connect the camera. If you are on cellular signal, you will not be able to connect. You need to go to settings and make sure wifi is on and you are connected to the wifi signal for the modem in your house. Look at your phone and see if you have the connection I am telling. If you have these things completed, the camera should hook up like a champ. If you have your camera mounted at the front gate 1000 feet from the house, you will never connect. You first connect with the camera right next to the modem, then you find a location that will still support the signal. You may have to move the modem if you are going through too many walls. Good luck.

    To all the new Light Bulb Camera owners, when you have a difficulty with your camera, make sure the wifi signal is close to the camera as first solution. Next, make sure you have gone through the settings section of the camera and check each setting category that will effect your wishes for operation. Also go to App store and check for app updates. As last resort, just reset the camera by using paper clip end to press and hold the reset button located in small hole next to mem card slot. Hold it after click until the camera says "Reset Complete". Now you can go back through and reconnect the camera to wifi again and get a new setup. I have had to do this myself. This is my ultimate answer to camera operation failures. Folk, this camera only cost $30 to $50 I has limitations. It only takes a small amount of time to re setup the camera. Do It, it is the answers most times. If Camera doesn not respond up and down correctly, most times this is a wifi signal problem. Depending on your wifi subscription, you may not have to full speed all the time and the camera will not operate fully all the time. If you have the cheapest wifi possible, you are most likely going to have problems. Most problems are with getting full wifi at the full speed of above cheapest. Sorry, This camera needs full signal all the time and higher speed than basic. I have found that to be the case. Get a good wifi signal to not have problems and place camera where the signal can be received at the full signal. I feel, I need to make this statement as to the questions I am receiving. Most all are the same problems. Test your camera to see if your wifi is good enough. Bring your camera within 5 feet of the wifi and see how it operates. Fully, move up down left right. Also check recording, go to setting and check for all the things you want to test. Fully test the camera for full operation. If it fully operates, your camera is operations. Now move the camera to the location you want. Test again. If it does not work. Then you need to select another location. Wall, and obstructions will deplete the signal. You have to do some detective work, you can not just select a location and expect the camera to work perfectly. Now you have some very new information I did not know I need to publish. Folks, you are learning to determine if your camera is good or your locations is bad. Now go to work. I want some reply's. State what you have found and we can go farther. Folks, remember, I have been where you are trying to get!!!!! Good Luck, you have your assignment!

      Hi Sam, I got it back working but it still will not go all the way down and that was why it was near the router and it’s not that far from the router but I was advised to order a new camera and so once I get the new camera.       No, it can not get wet in a pouring rain. Any water that would get into the memory card slot could destroy the camera.

    I just bought this 5G Wifi E27 Bulb Surveillance Camera Night Vision Automatic Human Tracking 4X Digital Zoom Video with hopes of hooking it up to my PC or Router since my pc talks to the internet via WIFI router. Pure magic to me. Is this possible ?? If so HOW ?? Or did I waist $6 on it. Thanks for help.

      YES i watched but did NOT see a way to set up my 5G WIFI camera with OUT a smart phone. I want to mount this camera outside where it would be within 2 meters of my router that I connect to with my PC that I can connect to through my home via the WIFI.... I saw an other "Replyer" asking the same thing, but has not received a reply yet. It seems like this should be possible since the connections are all WIFI ie PC to router to 5G camera.......@@samowens44

      The Siren, is an alarm signal, meant to be a deterrent to an intruder or to get attention. Do not use the alarm Siren if it is too loud to you, it is not adjustable.

      @@johnnytday1 I checked my Siren and it can only go off when I activate it. I have use all the features of motion detection and tracking and never does my siren go off. The only option I have is to activate the siren with the press of a button on the app. That is the way it should operate. I am not sure you have the same camera I have, but any way, this is not a normal feature for the siren to go off in the middle of the night all the time. This would be unaceptable to most folks and it not the way the camera is suppose to operate. Yours may have a defect if it is going off. I have a couple of these cameras, different brands, and the only way I can get the siren to operate is manually. And you can not control the volume. Hope this has been helpful and to anyone else that has a similar problem. Good Luck my friend.

      @samowens44 hey Mr Sam looks like we have the L2 security bulb camera and if so all you have to do is go to the settings menu and click on the detection alarm settings and then trigger alarm on the bottom of that page. I tried and it works. You can manually do it with the controls of the main page but if you want to scare someone away you can set it to trigger alarm. You can also make a spotlight come on when it triggers but so far the only way I saw for that to work is to turn off the trigger siren. It's either one or the other

    I have tried several times to connect camera to WIFI (5G router). The connection always fails at 77%. An error flashes that some cameras will NOT connect to 5G router. Is there a fix?

      The light bulb camera will no work on 5g network. Sorry to break the news, but it is posted in their documentation. No fix.

    Has anybody had a problem with it going down by using the app in other words if I try to use the app to go left right up it works fine but not down? Someone on Amazon mentioned it was broken and I consider returning it or ordering another one when I get the other one. I’m gonna try not connecting with Wi-Fi like he’s one of his other videos.

      I bought a Symynelec P4 and the camera has a 360 degree horizontal view but only 90 degrees vertically. Maybe your camera has a similar limit.

      So I checked and saw that somehow the app prompted me to log back in so I did. The camera no longer would work so I deleted and now unable to get it connect to the Wi-Fi again. Yes I have the camera and phone near the router like I did the first time I set it up months ago, I also rebooted the phone and router and made sure they are both in the same network. An suggestions?

      It is a QR code, that is the ID you are looking for, point the cell phone with the camera point to it.

      @rhondawilson2650 sorry you are having problems. Without all the necessary information that comes with the camera, it is hard to give you help. I have several video about the lightbulb camera, I suggest watching them all to see if one will have the answer you need. Good luck.

      Make sure your WiFi is 2.4g, it will not work on 5g.

      @termides, downloading the app is not a problem. on your cell phone, go to the big "A" for App store. That will take you to the apps. Now you need to go to the bottom and click on Magnifying glass icon. at the top type in Yi Lot Click on the app and click on the cloud symbol for app to download. You can also search for how to download an app for Cell phone. put in your type of cell phone. I am sure someone has taken the time to show details of what I described above. Good Luck.

    These cameras are garbage. I bought 3. I installed one in a socket above the entrance gate to my property. The first one just quit working for no apparent reason. The second one's reset button fell inside the camera and it broke. Now I'm on the third one and it's stopped rotating. It's receiving wifi, but the camera no longer tracks motion, nor does it patrol. I give up.

      @staceystovall7583 I understand your frustration. I find that most people take the camera to the location they choose for the camera mount it and then it works or sometime it doesn't work. This is an indication that the camera is mounted in an area that the WiFi signal can not full reach due to lot of things, like walls, fridge, trees, and the list goes on. The camera may work great just 6 feet over or may need to be moved totally. The other alternative to to move the WiFi source closer to the location you want. Or select a WiFi Extender to connect to your WiFi and locate the Extender close to the Camera. Unfortantly, the Cameras do not have a real strong receiver for WiFi and need a strong signal to perform at top performance. You need to spend time and test the location, move things to see if things improve. I think you may want to take my fresh look at a solutions to your problem with the camera. Just move the camera within 6 feet or so of the Router and see it the camera works well. If it does, you know what the problem is and can find a place it works well. Take you time and test the new location. Good Luck.

    Sam I watch your long and tedious video and found it long and on informing. All I want to know when I see videos such as yours is how do you hook the camera to operate off your smartphone all the other things that you are speaking of is irrelevant we just want to know how to use the camera with our phones. I am too old to sit around listening to Long conversations about nothing stay focus on how to use the phone 😢😢

      @EltoroRaoof, first off, I have made about 5 video or so about the Light Bulb Camera. You viewed one of the later video to help people after they have their cameras installed and want to work the features. Here is the first video I made about the setup of the camera. I still go over a number of basics before I get to the actual hooking the camera to the app and the wifi. Everyone is having a different issue and I get lots of questions and try to make videos to cover the things people want. One person wanted to know how to hook up the light socket. One guy told me I was wasting my time showing light socket connection. Now you are tellimg me you don't want all the details, only how to connect the phone to the camera. Here is my best advice for what you want from me. If want to skip all the basic stuff and go right to the start of connecting phone to camera, go to 4 min 23 sec. Good luck. My first video link.

    👍🏽Great Information 👍🏽Yep, A lot of these Gadgets are Nothing But Fish Bait used to Lure Unsuspecting Consumers into Long-term Expensive Subscriptions. 🙂👍🏽 Another Bad Product is "FIXD" An Online Car Scanner that Diagnosis Car problems. It's a Total Load of Crap. ⭐They hooked me in with a Fancy $19.99
    Ad because I was having car problems at the time. ⭐After I bought it, I realized I had Overlooked The small fine print stating the Terms and Agreement of their 7 Day Trial Subscription. ⭐When I received the product, I spent a couple of hours trying to get it to Connect to my Bluetooth and my Car and couldn't get it to Work.⭐It was the 6th day of my subscription and I Immediately put in for a Cancellation Request. ⭐But the very next day I was charged $69.99. I immediately Contacted their AI Support and Demanded a Full Refund, and continued To Contact them Weekly for the next 30 day. That was in Dec 2022 and Today is 4/19/23 and I Still Haven't Received my Refund. They Robbed me of $90.00 and I'm Stuck with a CRAPPY Product that Doesn't Work!.⭐So Hat's Off to You for Warning us about This Lightbulb Camera.👍🏽Very Helpful Content Indeed👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙂
