    The golem is on a tether from you. It locks on to the closest enemy and follows it until dead. Once dead it has to move back in range of your tether to aquire a new target and attack again. If you want your golem to attack at all times just follow the golem around. Keep it within your tether range at all times. What you think is the golem walking around doing nothing is the time it is taking to get back into tether range to acquire a new target.

    The summon amount on the summoner gloves gloves actually seems to works like "Additional strikes" for the golem. At least when I used them. At the time my golem was sometimes double-hitting, and I didn't have any sort of extra attack stat. Duration also works on the spin obviously, so is a mixed bag for this kind of thing.

    Fun fact: you can actually kill the ghosts with the saw blades and transfixion. Just takes a bit of time. But they'll disappear after a while if you put out enough damage

      @@tristinbulko6786 i'm pretty sure it was 50. it might have been 25 - only did it once to see if they were killable and noticed my gold go up by multiples of 50, so its possible i saw at increments where pairs had been defeated. as Duskdown said ringblades make it doable especially with fragile debuffs.

    Dex's stance on using the ghost phalanx is consistent. He doesn't like using them because they artificially inflate the damage number instead of representing what the weapon can truly do. However, in this case it has already been established that the Golem is much worse than the other weapons. Inflating the damage numbers for fun won't skew the comparison since it's already been done.

    I think the golem suffers from something not unique to it. On the shieldbearer, the auto-target doesn't work right until enemies are right next to me, like there's a melee issue, it doesn't account for range at all, just like the golem. I think it'd be fine if they let you move him manually a little, like a click-to-go-here thing and he RUNS to the location.

    @1:42 Unless different equipment works differently, it is probably not a separate multiplier. Your chest piece, for example, goes on the same Dmg% layer as Blessings. And the Lightning/Fire Dmg% is also additive with the Damage% Blessing. I'd tested this on Sorceress since her normal weapon does 100 damage by default, making it very easy to see how the %s work. If the Attack Speed items work differently, then so be it. I just know the Hunting Jacket(?) is additive with Blessings.
    I obviously have not tested extensively or across several items, so I will not claim this is true for every item or interaction.

    A side note: Assuming the description isn't bugged, the Archer's specific increased attacks upgrade only works on projectiles, while the Golem's attack is melee. I thought maybe the Swordsman would be an option if you really wanted extra attacks, but I see the description is wrong and only applies to his main weapon instead of all melee.

    The slapping golem + the skelly ring + Imp ring + Summons glove helped me get the "28 minutes with no primary weapon" Warlock achievement. You lose attack speed but the slaps and summons melt bosses.

    This game addicted me so hard, I got 100% achievements in 2 days. Since then I got the game that inspired it, VS and have only 4 achievements left on that one too working inverse mode now. I did not expect the genre to hit me so hard. But I have had a few bad years trying to get into games and it hit the spot well. Any build in HOT works at the end as long as you stick to an idea. Golems and fire builds hit so hard. Works great for both exterminator and summoner builds. The SB and Warrior need focus on range upgrades or the invisible tether/leash is really short, effecting the golems range. Every other character is fine with them building whatever.

    Ghost wall started right from the beginning and move slowly towards the center. They dont spawn in at a later fixed time. Also, they can be killed. They dont have infinite HP, they have tons, probably a lot more than bosses but they can be killed. Another thing is, they do at base I'm assuming 90-100 damage per tick of touch/contact damage but it can be lowered with block and/or defense.

      I think this was changed because I was once behind them and struggled to get back through on the other side since they deal so much damage.
      Technically speaking it could have also been that I stood still and they moved over me, but that would highly surprise me given their damage. But good to know!

    the golem is so bugged, for some reason you dont get any crit strike or damage offered when leveling up if you dont have any other crit scaling weapon EVEN THOUGH the golem scales really hard with crit since he gets big multiplier on crit chance and even has a crit damage upgrade...

    My game kept crashing when I played Exterminator with the Lightning Ring, probably because I just put so many dots on everything, all the time lol.

      You can turn off dmg numbers, would probably help your pc alot with that build lol, ive done it a few times while afk autoing

It happened about the same time on the third stage, around 2 mins before the end. It also only happened when I was either streaming or recording, so maybe that might also be a factor.

    the ghost wall is on the stage from the start, just extremely far away. so if you walk in one direction non stop you can reach them at 15 - 20 minutes left on the clock. i have done it

    The golem is very janky and bugged. He got that bricking ability upgrade, the false bonus mov speed, false bonus attack speed. The only thing that goes good on him is damage and area of effect

    Exterminator could be another contender for beefing the golem, if going for fire affinity to beef his fire attack. That character also gets a good amount of area size and attack speed iirc.

    Do both the summon rings stack?? Cause they say max 5.. but I never see 5 of each I only ever seen 5 summons total max?

      Yes they do stack. I just did the warlock no main weapon quest with them

      They stack and with the Warlock specific traits can even get to 7 summons each ring, making it so that you have 14 summons following you around, the reason you're not getting enough summons is because of the "channeling" upgrade, you need to level it up to max the rings since at the start you only get like 2 per ring before the summons "expire", channeling makes it so that they stay alive longer, keeping up with the summon cooldown.
      They are awful though, you'll get probably max 60,000 damage on the whole run from the Blood ring, and that's the one that does the most damage out of all the available "summoning" rings that exist right now (unless there is another one that I don't know of that summons stronger mobs)

    I thought I did a run where I just went as far as I could along the bridge right from the beginning, and I found the ghosts way out there.
    Basically, I thought they spawned at the beginning of the level.
    But, if you say you went past them and they spawned behind you, well... maybe I imagined doing that.

      The game may have changed or I walked through them without noticing (which I can't rly believe because they deal so much damage but I used to mostly play Shieldmaiden, so maybe).
      They spawn in the very beginning and slowly walk towards the center

      @@DexTag This would have been back when they still walked all the way to the center (and actually slightly past each other), so you had to get past them somehow or die.
      If you were just remembering being on the other side of them, the invincibility pick-up would let you do that, as well as lightning stuns (with some luck and some time) or any source of knockback. And, like you said, with enough defense, blocking, and health, you can make it.

    You should try a full summons run with all the items that allow you to summon mobs to help you including the golem

    i don't know if it bug or something but if you get the other one. golem normal attack deal no damage because it's also -50 attack damage and at level 3 golem he deal less base damage than 50. so he deal no damage.
    also if i want to play golem im alway pare him with the ball. ball skill give you a chance to get cri chance and cri damage skill which is very good for golem damage and ball is helping when you get swam on all side at around 8 min. you don't need it but it's nice

    The ghost walls on stage 3 definitely don't have infinite health, they just have 1million+ health and high resist. I've managed to kill all of the ghosts on one side of the map and I've seen runs where people kill all of them.

    Here's an idea for 3 more uploads:
    beating each map without using any starting gear or the permanent buffs. ir you've earned the map starting ability it would be fine to utilize that.
    i personally havent tried to beat any of the maps without using starting gear or the permanent character buffs.
    curious to see if you can beat the 3 maps :)

    I want to see a fully broken lightning strike build. Without potions I have gotten it to the point where it clears the entire map so I can't imagine how broken it would be with the potions.

    You could have golem attack people at 20% distance so it still goes far but he doesnt have to walk the entire way.
    Could also be nice if you could get a charge attack or jump attack for him somehow.

      Tbh I think what he needs is being affected by summon amount so you get 2, maybe max 3 golem if you use all, and to change his attack distance from 0 to anything between 25 to 50%. That way the largest area of the cone still hits the enemies but cutting down on movement will be major. I get why the golem goes back to you after doing an attack cycle, it's not to walk off too far, but that means he just walks around mostly.

      @@DexTag the issue would be they dynamic calculation of the floating point for "optimal range" on the golem. I'm pretty certain they don't have that code implemented at all.

      @@raze667 Tbh you'd just need to make it once and then have the Golem attack. If you go for a lot of Area/Range, it doesnt really matter if the target moves, they will still get hit.
      If you no longer think about the Golem as a Melee unit but a ranged unit, because technically speaking his attack is nothing different from an arrow that expands in size the longer the arrow travels, it makes a lot more sense to see what I mean. And most games manage to do that just fine

    Ghost wall don't have infinite health, you can kill them. they spawn right at the beginning of the round, just very far.

    I feel like the golem needs a rework with the AI... it's very poor and I can never get it to work properly the way I want it to and I really want to get the 3mil damage over with

      I think the Golem would work fine if it treated its range as the max range of its cone, not its own melee range.
      Right now it's like giga overpowered... but also can't reliably hit a dang thing. I think most people would prefer some reliability even if it meant scaling the power back.

      All the summons do. The skele and imp ring constantly have the summons just stand still and spaz out. I think they should just get rid of the invisible tether between you and summons. And make summons attack whatever is closest to them, and if they go off screen warp them back to the player.

      The tether isn't so much the problem imho, but how they have to come back to you to be able to aggro again. Needs to be an area instead of some invisible leash, where the summons just murderize everything within it. Area/cone size could apply to that roaming area. Instead of being warped back to the player, the summons should just be forced to stay withing the area and disengage from whatever target ends up being outside.

    Well, I really love the game but sometimes it looks like a high school programming homework. The skill texts are horrible. They are not consistent at all. The ghost being able to take dmg is also shit. Like you can use that to your advantage with burns and that burn crown but at the same time the auto targeting is impossible around them. Same applies to the second map final boss... I wanted to turn of the auto aim so I can relax but the dude just targets the balls crawling everywhere around you... Like if you can't dmg it make it so you can't target it...
