I’m not a trump by any means but Hilary just didn’t say anything of substance. She says her plan would create jobs and lower the debt but never says how. Her whole argument on the economy issue was basically “trickle down economics doesn’t work” without really saying what she plans to do. In the first 15 min Trump tells you exactly how and why his plan would work.
When Trump didnt know what to say, he deflected and a lot of the time put the hot potato in clinton’s hands; when clinton didnt know she either went “go to my website” or rambled in vague political speak. His only major legislative "achievement" was a giant tax giveaway to corporations and the top 0.1% of earners, where the only permanent tax break was for corporations, while the comparatively tiny tax breaks for the bottom 99% were set to expire in 10 years. He did appoint a bunch of SCOTUS justices that overturned Roe V. Wade after the ones who did said it was "settled law" in their confirmation hearings, leading to a bunch of Republican states banning abortion with basically no exceptions despite only ~14% of Americans supporting that.
I knew who I wanted to vote for already, but this first part of their debate set it firmly in granite just where she was going and where he was going. She wanted full unhampered abortion rights, constitution should be changed, gun control ( guns should be taken away ) . He had records in the amount of bombs he dropped in Iraq and Syria. In Yemen,Syria, and Pakistan he conducted military operations. The UN also agreed trump had racked up a good amount of civilian deaths from his bombing campaigns.
