Are they all gas explosions, what kind of gas, what kind of appliances, etc.? Is there any connection to gas stove controversy that GOP is stoking? And any other issues that may be relevant.

There actually are three bills in the House on this issue and one could be passed if congress was so inclined (or Joe could sign an executive order). They know that the Social Security COLA is not calculated properly to keep up with inflation and any help for seniors would be greatly appreciated, especially from a major voting constituency. They have to want to do it, just like they want to fund warmongering.
