So What Exactly is the YLOD?

This video shows my 60gb PS3's YLOD and shows exactly what it is.
It is basicly a yellow light displayed b4 da PS3 can come on.
Unforunately the YLOD wasn't able to be repaired even though it has the rare as 3.41fw :(
Tried to reball it but a few bga pads came of the motherboard when removing the GPU :(
