My recommendation for the 'finial' at the top of the staircase post is some-kind of wooden chiseled owl figurine. That would be so cool, if there was just a little owl perched there to greet you when you come in the door
So lovely to see someone from a younger generation (to myself) take an old home and renovate, but still in keeping with the age of the house. Not jarring modern interiors (which have their place in modern houses) in old surroundings. WELL DONE!!:)
Oh my I’ve had that picture of princesss with sword and knight for over 20 years hanging top my stairs above landing and windows. I will never tire of it.
I love it! You're making me want to redecorate my office. I have no idea what the name for these are but you should get the thingies (totally a technical term) that go in the corner of stairs to keep dust from building up. The ones I've seen are usually brass and decorated. But they would look so perfect in your cozy hall!
Yesss! That’s exactly what I wanted! I kept looking at them but the brass ones are so expensive and the plastic ones look so bad and I even debated if I could just make some 😂 I will get them one day! I also want to upgrade to some brass door handles and finger plates because our old silver handles just aren’t cutting it anymore 😄
They are called -- ta-dah! -- dust corners, and they save a ton of cleaning. May I suggest either painting the plastic ones that same green so they disappear or cut your own out of brass shim.
Ideas: 1). Bottom stair= kick plate integrated into something nice looking, so it's practical as well as nice looking. 2). Stair post finnial= a plaster-form head of one of you two 3). Side of staircase= integrated cork board painted a nice color, meant to pin momentos from your travels, to inspire new adventures every time you leave.
@MadameMyriad I came here to say Dragon too, especially next to The Accolade painting. If there was some way to adapt one I would go for a seated one and lengthen it's tail to wrap around the bannister newel post! Or alternatively the hilt of a Sword - as if a sword had been plunged into the newel post, King Arthur style!! As for the side of the stairs and hallway I immediately thought of the Red House in Bexleyheath, Kent with it's faux faded medieval wall paintings. This was owned and decorated by William Morris and his wife Jane and their friends. Unfortunately there aren't many pictures of the interior on line, but here is some of the description from the National Trust site.... "The house was intended to be a family home, but Morris also envisioned it as a place where he and his circle of friends could live and work according to the ideals and aspirations that a shared love of medieval literature and art had created......... The couple were given unusual wedding presents in the form of hand-painted furniture and wall murals in the style of the pre-Raphaelites, many of which are still there today. Taking inspiration from medieval works as well as art and literature, Red House was decorated in bold, jewel-like tones and the walls hung with embroideries and pictures" For more info search for "the artistic history of Red House" which take you to a National Trust page with various links and also do a search on Wiki. If you ever want to visit it's about a 38 minute train ride from London to Bexleyheath, plus a bit to walk there. I also thought of Gothic Medieval writing such as in the "medieval book of hours" and illuminated letters in goldleaf.😊👑👸
Really good tip to get some cheaper prints for frames: BUY OLD BOOKS WITH PICTURES FROM THRIFTSTORES. I’m talking history books, art books, museum books, travel books, architecture books, fairytale books ect. Whatever has pictures you like and fits the style you’re going for! You could even frame text pages from poem collections, quotes you like, or pages/passages from your favorite books! One of my favorite prints is actually a pretty big picture from an old museum book I got at an antique store for 2 pounds! It’s so high quality it’s kinda insane. Each book will have multiple high quality prints for very cheap price per book!! I would say it’s even worth getting a book if you like just one picture in it, when you compare the price to getting prints from new:) The prints will of course be small to medium sized, but I LOVE this trick. And you can also use it for arts and crafts, like collage making or scrapbooking, even the text part! I use it for quotes or big blocks of texts as filler in a collage:)
Thats such a great idea! I definitely need to do that to fill in some of the remaining gaps 🖤 I will absolutely go down a rabbit hole of liking too many book illustrations and not having enough space for all of them though 😂
These kind of ideas always have me going back and forth about whether repurposing antiques is “ruining” or “up cycling”. Do I feel guilty or creative? Do i paint or not? Do I cut or not? Do I redo it or not? Do i adapt it or not? Its analysis paralysis for me.
it looks so great!! who knew i needed to see that you can 'easily' make your hallway look like a historic manner house, i certainly didn't, but it was an absolutely fantastic idea of yours! and i am really curious what you're planning on for the motifs and paint on the stairs and with the arthurian bit on the green walls (personally i suggest adding 'strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government' as a family motto underneath a coat of arms somewhere) also i laughed so hard at the ".....it's not really a want"
Thank you!🖤 We’ve been playing around with so many ideas for it, you should see the size of the Pinterest boards 😅 We actually did design our coat of arms, I almost made it for the wall but decided I really didn’t have time with everything else.
Falling down the stairs is very serious. My mother broke her neck walking down two steps! (She's OK now.) Her physical therapist told her to count aloud each step she takes. Not silently, but aloud in order to focus. You did a great job BTW. New subbie.
That’s awful, I’m glad she’s okay now 🖤 The runner has already made a big difference for me, it feels so much safer now, although having to carry things up and down still makes me nervous 😬 & Thank you 🖤🖤
Thank you 🥰 We're going to be getting some black heat resistant paint for the bathroom radiator soon so we did think we might use that in the hallway too, the white does show through more than I was expecting
The head of a majestic ell with beautiful horns need to be at as the finial there at the stair rest! THIS was a fabulous and inspiring jaunt! TY for this!
So beautiful!!! Love the dark green so much. I would also paint the front door same color and all of the trim and tiny indentations the dark green!!!!❤❤❤
Thank you 🖤 & yess! But you have to do them last otherwise they’ll get ruined whilst you do other rooms, most of the marks on the walls were from carrying furniture and ladders around 😅
The whole presentation of your ideas was so lovely - and so funny. Thank you 🥰 And for the staircase - may be a bust looking really old (marble would be great but most probably very expensive) or a golden "orb and cross" (called a Globus cruciger also as you surely know) with beautiful inlayed jewellery (you might be able to "create" this by yourself) ... I just can picture it. I hope you will find something pretty that suits you most. Have further fun with all your projects 🥰
Loved it! (I immediately subscribed.) I’m excited to follow along to see more! I feel so awkward saying this after watching you work so hard, but to get the look of an oil painting, the Mod Podge should be brushed on in short, crisscrossed strokes.
Thank you 🥰 We’re planing on doing that! I only had time to do the initial coat for the video but we’re going to brush in a few more layers following the paintings brush strokes and then a layer to imitate a varnish
Yeah me too. I immediately subscribed. Usually I have to watch a few of a channel's videos before I subscribe. I don't know what it is but I clicked subscribe after about 15 seconds.
...I think I immediately subscribed because you had your whole act together from jump. The Medieval hallway, the Medieval dress, the neo-Medieval hair, the Medieval swords. I'd use that strategy again.
American here - I lived in Nottingham for a year a while back, and I started collecting postcards like yours. They were so poignant, and such a glimpse of the past. I have had them tucked in a book, but you have inspired me to frame them. I'll photocopy the back messages and mount them on heavy card stock to put beside the front of the postcard.
That looks beautiful! Though I’ve been to some historic places that literally have the walls filled floor to ceiling with paintings. I’d say you could go more up the stairs if you wanted to. Keep adding.
Thank you ☺️ & my favourite kind! I have left some intentional spaces for items I want but don’t have yet and the rest of the space is to fill with items and paintings I have yet to fall in love with 🥰 I genuinely love that I can keep adding to it, it’s giving me expensive ideas about what I can do with the bedroom too 😅
@@MadameMyriad have you thought about painting some yourself? There are some really good paint by numbers out there that turn out fantastic in the end. I did one of a cat version of girl with a pearl earring. Also did a Van Gogh.
I originally thought about it but I wanted to get the wall finished quite quickly, I’ll probably sneak a few in over time though🖤 I also have a massive 8ft frame in the living room that no printers makes prints big enough to fit inside so one day, I will be painting something to go in that (she says with zero painting ability)
Omg this came out amazing!! My hubby saw your new stair runner and is jealous. We need to get.o e because we have BOTH fallen down our stairs because they are too narrow.
That is literally what prompted us to finally sort ours! Dan kept slipping down them and I decided if I'm putting a runner in then I'm doing everything 😄 We got ours from Dunelm by the way, the quality is so good 🖤
This is so cool! I wish more people realised that they can decorate their houses like this if they wanted to, I definitely have similar plans to decorate my own house in a historical style like this but I have to buy a house first! 😅
Thank you! Yea I really struggled back in our old flat because I couldn’t do anything to the walls, we spent 3 years dedicating everything to getting a house so we could do stuff like this 🖤🖤
It’s looks great ! Love the colour , I would defo paint the newel post tho . Too orange and not fancy enough to leave natural . Then a lovely carved acorn or something on the newel post 🎉
Back in the medieval times, tapestries were BIG! So just add tapestries to the walls. If not to the stairs and hall then to your living room/sitting room.... Just a thought.
I really want a large one in the bedroom, it would be amazing to have an actual tapestry design rather than using a repeating fabric for that one though 😍
Dragons on the stairway posts! Also that fridge sticks out, maybe you could try some self sticking wall paper to cover it, it can be removed easily unlike contact paper. The hall is looking great!!!
I love your hall and stairwell - especially the green paint and the rug on the stairs! Makes me think of Downton Abbey! It inspires me to do the same, but I don't have stairs or a hall and my walls are only 8 feet tall (7 feet where the ducts are) anyway. Speaking of ducts, I was delighted to see you ALSO use duct tape behind your pictures! I also do that, and now I feel validated!
Thank you 🖤 Downton Abbey was filmed in a lot of national trust sites 😅 I’m trying my best to introduce the style to the rest of the house but I too suffer from low ceilings 😂 & yes, duct tape is the way to go for pictures! I used to put together public exhibitions for a local gallery and we literally would use duct tape on the ones not for sale 😂
LOVE what you did here! So happy I found your channel. You have such a wonderful personality for making TH-cam videos!! Looking forward to your next video..Thank you for sharing your talent with us! 💕
Your hallway looks absolutely fantastic! Great job. We’re currently renovating a 250 year old house and you’ve given me some great ideas. For the finial on the bannister I think some kind of stone gargoyle would look amazing! Looking forward to seeing more of what you do. New subscriber 😊
Thank you 🥰 That’s amazing! I’d love to have an old house one day (we started with a new build because home ownership is intimidating 😂) Ooo gargoyle! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! That would look cool. Thank you, I’d love to know how your renovations go too, cause I’m nosey and old houses are kind of my Roman Empire 😄
Thank you very much for showing the fantastic change of your hallway. Just one idea I would like to suggest: if you are not completly done with the pictures, there are apps, that have historical paintings and you can put your face into the paints. So I have a historical painting of a Lady and another one with a nymph with my face hanging in my living room. Might that also be something for you?
This is amazing! I love this! I wasn't bored for a single second watching this. National Trust Heritage Site Manor House ... exactly my kind of thing! Thanks for filming this! New subscriber here!
WOW!!! 😲I LOVE IT! 😍 Great job Madame!! (And Dan. :) The photo of the lovely lady is from the Edwardian Era! Possibly 1902. :) I *love* the 'paintings' you framed!! Thanks for mentioning mod podge to coat it with! And antique postcards are my weakness!! Have several. :) My earliest is from 1908! Love reading old letters/notes from people long ago and imaging their lives and who they were. Oh! *I love* the 'Key to Erebor' on the wall! And I have the Tolkien map on my wall as well! :) Edit: btw, I always love your music choices!! Fits the vibe of you and your videos so well. =) And I keep meaning to say....I love the wire rack for your crowns!! Looks great! And, yay!! Autumn is almost here!!! 😃
Thank you😁😁 Her dress does look very Edwardian doesn’t it. & I saw the mod podge trick on Pinterest years ago and I have been waiting the longest time to actually try it 😄 Yess! Me and Dan spent a good hour in the antique shop reading them trying to pick a selection, we didn’t even go through a tiny fraction of what they had in there. & thank you, the key wasn’t planned but it works so well, I definitely want to find some more small objects to space between the frames 🖤 & thank you for mentioning the music, it sounds silly but I get so paranoid about it, it’s the hardest part of every edit. And I love the rack, I need to find out where my mum got it so I can get more 😄 There are orange leave on the ground. And I’m currently cuddling a pumpkin cushion. Autumn is here 🍁
@@MadameMyriad Hooray for Autumn!! 🍵🍁🍂🍃 Though, I had the best summer of my life! We had great weather here in East TX, surprisingly! Was a delicious 65 degrees F when feeding my rabbits this morning! Practically unheard of for barely September!! Was lovely. 😀 And you're welcome! I just always love the music and it always fits each scene so well, so had to mention. 💖 lol, an hour spent reading through postcards! HA! Sounds like me. I have done that too. :) Actually, my nana and I have spent 3 hours in a single antique store one time!! Just browsing around, digging through things, chatting and, yes, bought some/several things too. 😂 'Twas the was the most fun and shortest 3 hours that afternoon! Loved it! Actually- whenever we are at that particular antique store we usually are there 2 hours. :) Honestly, I need a rack like yours for my future Elven crowns! 💖 Someone mentioned this already, but...YES!! A dragon for the newel!! A big lovely Smaug style one, that looks wooden (but maybe isn't)! 😃
When I saw the reveal I said (out loud to myself and my cat, as one does) that the one thing that would make a big impact would be adding a finial! I didn't hear you say it when mentioning the stair plans, but I think it fits right in with the decorative gold paint work plan!! 😊 Love the video and the result. Special mention to the start and the explanation of "put all this *gestures with velvet sleeves* on here" 😄.
I could edit my comment. I paused to make it when you switched from explaining the stairs to explaining the opposing wall. But then you came back to the stairs. Hahahaha. Comment was already made. I'm leaving it. 😂
Haha😄 yes I definitely want one! Dan really wanted to get some to install for this video but we couldn’t find anything in time, whatever it ends up being it must be perfect!! & thank you 🖤🖤 the dress made a good visual aid at the start 😅
I’ve been slowly adding character and charm to our 2000s era builder grade home in the south east US. I now know what I’m going for is National Trust Heritage Site. Thank you.
We just need more furniture places to start doing national trust heritage site collections so we can easily buy book shelves and chairs and tv units that match the aesthetic 😄
Beautiful. Thank you god. Thank you for my Omaze house. Thank you for listening and blessings me with the miraculous means of finally being able to have my very own house, my very own home. I pray I, you and everyone reading this comments are blessed where our 4 walls brim with light, happiness, health, wealth and laughter. Endless love and good days. God bless 😊
I love this so much! I think a mosaic would be amazing for that bottom stair, like with bits of broken teacups, and beach glass and such, maybe in a simple motif like a bunch of flowers or a seascape. Great job and I love the faux paintings, I wonder if using the mod podge to pretend paint the actual picture over the existing image might give the illusion in grating light? Seems like it'd be fun to experiment with that. Cheers from a new subscriber!
Thank you 🥰 I’ve actually always wanted to do a mosaic kind of thing in the kitchen! Little intimidating to commit to though 😅 Yea we thought that too, we put on the base coat to give the initial texture and get them on the wall in time for the video but we’re planning on spending a night brushing some more specific strokes into them as well, I tested it on a small photo and it works pretty well 😁
@@MadameMyriad understandable, what if you created a movable board that fit that you could lay out the mosaic on in comfort, to get it right, then just slide the whole board into place?
@@MadameMyriad awesome! I also thought you could do seasonal variations for fun and there's tutorials about using glass beads painted on the back and bits of broken pottery, it can be really cool, I bet! :)
What a fantastic job! Maybe you're already doing this or I missed it in the video. But you can paint or paper the outlet and switch plates. You can also change the inside of the plugs to a darker color. That will make them disappear and fit your theme. Beautiful remodel! I really love the stair runner and I was glad to see how to do it for my own house.
Thank you 🥰 I didn’t mention it in the video but I really want to find some nice brass covers to replace what’s already there, I also want to replace the door handles to match too. I didn’t know you could replace the inside of plugs to be darker too though, that’s a great tip, thank you ☺️ I followed a bunch of blogs to install mine, my biggest tip is to make sure you buy deep staples, I almost made that mistake because I didn’t think about it, luckily Dan did 😂
It looks amazing, love the green. I like the idea of an owl finial drsgons are a bit overdone thanks to game of thrones. For the base, I'd like to suggest a design with motifs taken from Jacobean embroidery with a long twisted vine. This could be extended onto the bottom riser. Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you 🖤 Dan really liked the owl ones too! There’s so many to pick from, I need space for more than two 😄 & I love that idea, and I already have loads of references because I love Jacobean embroidery 😅🖤
I’ve wanted to put some up for the longest time! I could read through old post cards for hours (and I did in the antique shop when I could only pick a handful 😅)
Just a tip if anyone else is going to modpodge any prints not that these don’t look amazing but if you follow some of the brush strokes in the painting it gives it a much more detailed look 👌 love that green paint ill be ordering some soon for my bedroom 🤩
Love, love it, especially those gorgeous frames & everything u chose to frame. No respectable manner would be complete w/o a coat of arms or a family crest though! Definitely need one of those. The Mod Podge trick is amazing, isn't it?! It looks even better when u follow the brush strokes of the painting. So much fun watching someone's vision come to life! 1st time viewer & I really enjoyed your video! 💖
Thank you 🥰 Funny you should say that, Dan actually designed us a coat of arms that I was going to make a shield for to go in the hallway too but I ultimately realised I would not have time to do that with the rest of the hallway 😄 might circle back to the idea one day though! Yess! It worked so well, we’re going to go back with a second coat to add the actual painting details when we get time ☺️
We popped over to your Pinterest just now and loved that too. I'm preparing for a Bridgerton craft class with things for sale things to craft and costumes and accessories for a photo shoot. Love to see the next video with the stair knob thing and landing too. How about a snow-white bedroom that would be magic with a mirror and a wicked queen in reflection
Thank you! That sounds so cool, I love how many fandom themed events people organise now 🖤 you know I’ve actually been looking at my bedroom a lot thinking it’s far too boring compared to the hallway now…. 👀😂
Love what you've done with that hall- I could see a grand carved wooden thistle on the stair post- I've seen them around (but not lately)- might not be as statement-making as you envision, but would fit the theme nicely.
My recommendation for the 'finial' at the top of the staircase post is some-kind of wooden chiseled owl figurine. That would be so cool, if there was just a little owl perched there to greet you when you come in the door
Aww that would be so cute, I’d definitely have to name it if we I got that 🖤
I was just going to the comments to recommend and owl for the stairs!
I was literally just typing out "owl figurine!" When I read your post. I concur, most enthusiastically!

I agree wholeheartedly. Older homes just speak to me!
Sure, I’ll subscribe. You had me at liking British Heritage places.
Haha, I haven’t been to one in so long 🥲
My grandmothers house had a stair runner and stair rods. It was regularly moved up and down to even out wear.
That's so smart!😄 I'd love to get some stair rods one day but they are so gosh darn expensive it hurts
@@MadameMyriad Google DIY ones and you can save some for now on the cost.
We have them, they were designed by the architect who designed the house in 1904 so the ends of them match the details on the door knobs etc
@@MadameMyriadJust buy wood dowels, or even copper pipe!
If you wrap the under pad over the bullnose it can prevent a lot of wear.
Girl...Mademoiselle..M'Lady...you OUTDID yourself, this is beautiful and outstanding!!!
Thank you, that made me smile so much 😄🖤
It was common to have carved wooden pineapples on stairways as a symbol of wealth and hospitality. Love the end result! X
Thank you! & I never thought about them having meanings before!
Little tip for hanging pictures. Once you decide where you want your pictures to hang, take a picture of the layout so you have that reference.
I definitely should have done that 😂 thank god I could check my old footage otherwise I would have been trying to piece it together for days
This is an awesome undertaking...it's gorgeous now, but I'm chomping at the bit to see what you do next to it!

That’s such a good idea! I love that 🖤🖤
you accomplished a beautiful makeover, so much class and well thought through, very lovely! i love the art you put on the wall, beautiful collection!
Thank you so much! ☺️🖤
I originally thought about it but I wanted to get the wall finished quite quickly, I’ll probably sneak a few in over time though🖤
I also have a massive 8ft frame in the living room that no printers makes prints big enough to fit inside so one day, I will be painting something to go in that (she says with zero painting ability)
Omg this came out amazing!! My hubby saw your new stair runner and is jealous. We need to get.o e because we have BOTH fallen down our stairs because they are too narrow.
That is literally what prompted us to finally sort ours! Dan kept slipping down them and I decided if I'm putting a runner in then I'm doing everything 😄 We got ours from Dunelm by the way, the quality is so good 🖤
I admire your creativity and team work. This turned out really nice. It has a cozy feel. We live in a historical 1925 home.
Aww thank you 🖤 That must be so cool! Does it have any of its original features still?
It looks incredible! It came together perfectly!
Thank you so much! It's my new favourite part of the house 😁
Stunning, you did an amazing job. Can't wait to see the other ideas you have come to life
Thanks so much! 😊
Also that fridge sticks out, maybe you could try some self sticking wall paper to cover it, it
can be removed easily unlike contact paper. The hall is looking great!!!
Believe or not TEMU has a tons of that kind of stuff.
A dragon would be so cool! 🤩
I work for the National Trust and yeah it’s such great house inspiration. I especially love looking at the colour schemes of rooms and the wall paper!
Dream job! I always wanted to work in the unstately home, that’s one of my favourite sites (out of the ones I’ve actually visited) 😄
Thank you 🖤 Downton Abbey was filmed in a lot of national trust sites 😅 I’m trying my best to introduce the style to the rest of the house but I too suffer from low ceilings 😂
& yes, duct tape is the way to go for pictures! I used to put together public exhibitions for a local gallery and we literally would use duct tape on the ones not for sale 😂
wow!! dust corners would in gold or brass would look amazing against the green!
I love that idea so much, I want some so badly!!
I have a bunch of those victorian pictures! That is a great idea to get them up! Yay, i have a plan now!
I’ve always loved seeing people display them! So glad I finally got to do it myself 🖤
LOVE what you did here! So happy I found your channel. You have such a wonderful personality for making TH-cam videos!! Looking forward to your next video..Thank you for sharing your talent with us! 💕
Thank you so much!! That’s so sweet of you to say ☺️ 🖤
Love how you framed the brooches and postcards!
Thank you ☺️
Absolutely fabulous !!!! Congratulations for such an incredible work :)
Thank you so much 🥰
❤ I so get you girl...😊 .. stately homes & Manor houses & the interior & style everything just love it ❤ great vid 👍 ❤
Thank you 🥰🖤 when is the stately home and Manor House trend going to start already?! that’s what I want to see in shops 😄
I’d love to have an old house one day (we started with a new build because home ownership is intimidating 😂)
Ooo gargoyle! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that! That would look cool.
Thank you, I’d love to know how your renovations go too, cause I’m nosey and old houses are kind of my Roman Empire 😄
I adore your taste. It actually reminds me of my own.
Thank you! Great minds…😘
Thank you 🥰 I’ve seen those! They are cool but I think it would weird me out to see my own face in a painting like that 😅
I love it❣️I think you really did a great job making your foyer/entry hall look like a historical manor home.
Thanks so much! 😊🖤
Fun watching. Love your style
Thank you so much ☺️
Love it sooooo much. Refreshingly unique hallway and content presentation. How creative. You really transformed it!
Thank you so much! 🥰
I your videos, this one was exactly what I needed after a boring work week
Thank you! That really made my day 🥰
This is amazing! I love this! I wasn't bored for a single second watching this. National Trust Heritage Site Manor House ... exactly my kind of thing! Thanks for filming this! New subscriber here!
Wow, thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Love it! Also a great idea to frame brooches too!
Thank you🖤 They’re so easy to quickly unpin if we want to wear them too ☺️
@MadameMyriad I've got so many tucked away, as a guy I don't get many opportunities too wear them, but now I can display them!
WOW!!! 😲I LOVE IT! 😍 Great job Madame!! (And Dan. :)
The photo of the lovely lady is from the Edwardian Era! Possibly 1902. :)
I *love* the 'paintings' you framed!!
Edit: btw, I always love your music choices!! Fits the vibe of you and your videos so well. =)
And I keep meaning to say....I love the wire rack for your crowns!! Looks great!
And, yay!! Autumn is almost here!!! 😃
Thank you😁😁
Her dress does look very Edwardian doesn’t it. & I saw the mod podge trick on Pinterest years ago and I have been waiting the longest time to actually try it 😄
Yess! Me and Dan spent a good hour in the antique shop reading them trying to pick a selection, we didn’t even go through a tiny fraction of what they had in there.
& thank you, the key wasn’t planned but it works so well, I definitely want to find some more small objects to space between the frames 🖤
& thank you for mentioning the music, it sounds silly but I get so paranoid about it, it’s the hardest part of every edit. And I love the rack, I need to find out where my mum got it so I can get more 😄
There are orange leave on the ground. And I’m currently cuddling a pumpkin cushion. Autumn is here 🍁
@@MadameMyriad Hooray for Autumn!! 🍵🍁🍂🍃
Though, I had the best summer of my life! We had great weather here in East TX, surprisingly! Was a delicious 65 degrees F when feeding my rabbits this morning! Practically unheard of for barely September!! Was lovely. 😀
And you're welcome! I just always love the music and it always fits each scene so well, so had to mention. 💖
lol, an hour spent reading through postcards! HA! Sounds like me. I have done that too. :)
Actually, my nana and I have spent 3 hours in a single antique store one time!! Just browsing around, digging through things, chatting and, yes, bought some/several things too. 😂 'Twas the was the most fun and shortest 3 hours that afternoon! Loved it!
Actually- whenever we are at that particular antique store we usually are there 2 hours. :)
Honestly, I need a rack like yours for my future Elven crowns! 💖
Someone mentioned this already, but...YES!!
Epic hallway! Im so inspired to do mine now.... exactly the same, but in my aesthetics which contains a lot more neon, so actually totally different.
Thank you ☺️ I’ve seen a lot of the neon style ones, they’re awesome! You should do it 😁
So inspiring! What a beautiful job 🌹
Thank you so much! 🖤🖤
You are sooo cute together
Thank you 🥰 The artworks were weeks of debate, we had about 30 on our short list 😂 very happy with our final choices though!
Thanks, I really enjoyed watching this video. It was great and it was funny!
Thank you so much ☺️🖤
Bold and beautiful! love the combinations
Thank you so much!🖤
God bless 😊
You should definitely get some of those little brass Victorian dust corners for the stairs for a nice bit of functional bling!
I would love some! I considered buying some but they were so expensive 😅 definitely an upgrade for part 2!
Love your energy and personality! Love going to Ren fest you remind me of it
Thank you so much 🖤 I’ve always wanted to go to one of those!
Little intimidating to commit to though 😅
Yea we thought that too, we put on the base coat to give the initial texture and get them on the wall in time for the video but we’re planning on spending a night brushing some more specific strokes into them as well, I tested it on a small photo and it works pretty well 😁
@@MadameMyriad understandable, what if you created a movable board that fit that you could lay out the mosaic on in comfort, to get it right, then just slide the whole board into place?
That’s genius! Also makes for easy removal if I move! You’re giving me ideas above my skill set that I can actually do this now 😂
@@MadameMyriad awesome! I also thought you could do seasonal variations for fun and there's tutorials about using glass beads painted on the back and bits of broken pottery, it can be really cool, I bet! :)
you did it its beautiful can't wait to see the final outcome.
Thank you 🥰
i adore what you did there. thanks 🙂
Thank you! ☺️
Absolutely love this! It looks incredible!
Thank you so much!!🖤
What a fantastic job!
I didn’t know you could replace the inside of plugs to be darker too though, that’s a great tip, thank you ☺️ I followed a bunch of blogs to install mine, my biggest tip is to make sure you buy deep staples, I almost made that mistake because I didn’t think about it, luckily Dan did 😂
I love this so much! Gives me lots of ideas for when I redecorate!
Thank you ☺️ Good luck with your decorating! 🖤
I love this makeover so much!! And I’m obsessed with the Arthurian print!!!
Thank you 🥰 That was the first painting we decided on, it was a must 😄
@@MadameMyriad Perfect choice!
A brass kickplate at the bottom of the stairs would be so snazzy.
I love that idea, shopping now 😄
Looks GRT. It's amazing when one gets inspired and works on a spot .keep it going..🤓🌼✨🌟⭐🌷🥀🎉
Thank you ☺️🖤
Simply lovely! I look fotward to seeing your next design! Oh, hello from the states!😊
Thank you! 😊 Hello back from the UK 👋🏻
Fabulous transformation. I am inspired now to do something with my stairwell.
Thank you 🖤 Go for it! It’s it’s made such a big impact to the whole house for us, everything feels so much more tied together now 😊
I would paint out all the stained wood and add brass accents every could (stair rods, newel posts, etc)!
If you use painters tape, you can mark where the holes are in the frame, and then just put that on the wall and drill through it. It's a lot easier.
That’s such a good tip, thank you ☺️
It looks amazing, love the green.
There’s so many to pick from, I need space for more than two 😄
& I love that idea, and I already have loads of references because I love Jacobean embroidery 😅🖤
Yeah I like that. Gonna do it. Thanks!
haha thank you 😄
I approve of your postcard mounting! I own a ton of ancestral postcards that I treasure.
Great tip! 🖤🖤 & you will not regret it, lick paints are on a whole other level 🤌🏻
Your energy IMMEDIATELY made me subscribe 💯💯🫵🏻🫶🏻🩷
You get my weird 🥹😭🤩🤩🤩
I HAVE fallen down the stairs, so I completely understand the fear!
It came out so beautifully!
Thank you & I hope you weren’t hurt 🖤
Looking amazing. Love the stairs.
Thank you! 🖤😊 Us too! They look great and we haven’t slipped on them once since putting a runner in 😅
Love what you've done with that hall- I could see a grand carved wooden thistle on the stair post- I've seen them around (but not lately)- might not be as statement-making as you envision, but would fit the theme nicely.
Thank you 🖤 I haven’t seen any thistle ones yet, that would go so well!
Came out beautiful 😍🤩
Thank you🖤
Omg. This video was so magickal!🔮🔮🔮
Thank you 🖤✨
wiring a plasma ball into the post (amazon has a really cool dragon plasma ball) would be epic.
That would be AWESOMEEE!!!! I forgot about plasma balls, I haven't seen any for years 😂
A gemstone sphere would also look nice as a finial, not a clear crystal ball but something that has a flash to it like labradorite.
That’s such a cool idea!!
Gorgeous result
Thank you! 😊
Your video popped up today. It’s awesome! Greetings from Texas
Thank you 🖤 Hello from the UK!
Looks amazing!
Thank you 🖤
And that’s why when putting a rug on stairs you start from the bottom (which is how a professional would do it if you hired one), for future reference
I like no kickspace carpet at bottom
No reason to carpet it!
Lmao shut up why you hating on the dumbest things keep ur ignorant comments to yourself babe she doesn’t care what you think… for future reference
That looks amazing!
Thank you ☺️
Superb turned out fab ❤ x
Thanks so much 🖤🖤
Looks great!!😊
Thank you ☺️
