That's funny, BTS debuted in 2013 as a Hip Hop Idol group. So their core is hip hop, but they don't hold to any one genre, and they are not afraid to experiment with other genre's. JK's new album is fully English. Their is only one other group that is with Big Hit music (TXT), and HYBE Labels is not their label, it's an umbrella company that came about because of Big Hit's financial growth, and their CEO wanted to separate the financial from the Music label. so they have also acquired other labels. Anyway, you will learn more about that, it's a whole other thing. RM has 218+ KOMCA Credits as of November 2023, but I'm sure it will be more as soon as they get back from their service in 2025, because he was writing music before he left, but it hasn't been released yet, and he did a project with Pharrell Williams that hasn't been released yet. Also Suga has won awards for his collaborations with PSY - THAT THAT; and IU -EIGHT. And I'm sure there are more, I just don't know of them. And SUGA does like dancing now, and he did a dance routine to Haegeum, when you get to that song, and it was just for ARMY. He only did the dance practice and the TikTok challenges. 41:22 It might surprise you but Jin is actually the biggest introvert of the group. He's just very comfortable with the people closest to him. When he's with people he doesn't know well it becomes very clear. He and Suga are known as the eternal roommates because they've chosen to be roommates from the time they began having smaller rooms. They both very much need their time alone to recharge and have spent entire days together practically without speaking. "Yoongi, marry me" is iconic 😂. I think it started when V (Taehyung) read this phrase out loud from the chat in one of their lives and that's when it really became a meme. The members loved to tease Yoongi with it. Yoongi's reaction was usually along the lines of: "If I pretend it's not happening, it will stop." 🤣 I think even before this, he was the person that ARMYs would propose to a lot for several reasons. One of them being a livestream way back when he responded to a proposal with: "Bring the paperwork." And also his iconic white shirt look from the first season in In the Soop, which is generally perceived as the ultimate husband look 😂

All of the members have experience producing, some more than others, but I personally would not call them all "producers". RM himself said fairly recently that he rarely produces anymore and prefers song writing. Suga is by far the main actual producer in the group even if all 7 have produced songs at one point or another.

I cannot choose one to be honest. I like them all for different reasons. I did not get to see Jungkook grow up, so for me Baby Tae is more like a baby than Jungkook 😂 I though that he is the maknae. I am not really sure about straykids, I haven't heard any of their songs, but I'm sure they are also good on what they do. I respect all fandoms. But one thing, I am a music lover eversince I was a kid, and BTS rapline just hits different from all of the rappers I've heard before, RM and SUGA are underground rappers before BTS and as we know those who are from hiphop is known to be honestly brutal in their lyrics which they took with them, in all the rap songs they work on. And they passed what they've learned to Jhope who has found his own style. They're rap is full of honesty, hurt, and everything they are going through. They write all their lines in rapline songs which hits a lot. BTS Rapline is toptier so I hope you dig deeper to their songs as you mentioed you love rap, not to get you to be an Army but finding a song/music that resonates with us is something everyoe should experience. There's too much comfort and connection you'll feel....
Now as I got to know both groups, I can say that both groups are very very different. BTS have deeper words in their rap. They went through more hardships, and we can tell. Stray Kids put the meaningful lyrics more in the lyrical songs. They have deep meaning rap too, but not as much. If I am to compare Stray Kids to a BTS song, that would be Mic Drop. That is the closest (yet far away) from Stray Kids styles. Stray Kids rap is always upbeat and puts you in a happy and exciting mood, BTS rap bring up the most hidden emotions that I never knew I had. So yeah, at the gym, I would probably stay away from BTS. 😂

So TXT is part of that label. They came after BTS many yrs after. They are a great group but it was hard for them to make themselves known being in BTS shadow. All very talented and growing fast now. Over BTS is an older artist a solo Lee Hyun. He has a series on here. He a good singer. Then for HYBE there is Seventeen, New Jeans, Le SSERAFIM, Enhypen, &Team(Japan branch), etc. U can Goggle the rest there's a lot of new groups that i don't know they debuted in the past 2-3 yrs. HYBE bought a lot of smaller labels and so the groups are there's. BTS made Bang PD so much money and he grew the company that it got too big for him. He stepped down as CEO and hired someone else. He is now a chairman of HYBE. He still a music producer for BTS and other groups though. He very talented. The re-structure is complicated but i think they mention it in a guide somewhere. ARMY is actually an acronym for Adorable Representatives MC for Youth - doesn't sound quite as daunting now, does it? 😂 We really are all ages from 1 to 99, genders, faiths, nationalities, etc. We always try to portray the positive values of the group members themselves - love, respect and inclusivity - and although inevitably there are a few rotten apples in a fandom this big (approximately 15 million official fan club members and many millions more unofficial fans), if you receive any hateful comments they're most likely from antis/haters who try to discredit the fandom and BTS to deter reactions to their content. I'm just letting you know because unfortunately it's a common problem for BTS reactors and for us as well. A few helpful tips: - You might want to turn the volume up on the video you're reacting to. 😉 - If you want subtitles on their older songs you need to get them from the TH-cam channel 1theK. It's just as safe and legit to react to. It wasn't until later they started their current channels and they didn't bother putting subtitles on the oldest stuff. - Since Taylor's video Vlive has been incorporated into Weverse, a platform developed by Big Hit but used by many artists and companies now. Just binge watching your reactions. Thank you for being so lovely. My bias is jin, and yoongi is my bias wrecker. Even thou the guide says they have a particular personality, which is true but suga can be extremely sweet as sugar and even very outgoing that's why he was able to host his amazing show called SUCHWITA. I hope you react to it at some point , yoongi is genius, and his work speaks for him. he went through some real real shit and regarding Jin , he can come across extremely extroverted and loud but my guy is very introverted and his songs tells about his personality other wise ( jin is known to have the very emotional songs , his solos are my personal favorite in BTS discography, his song named EPIPHANY saved me and made me Army. So i think he expresses his raw self in his music and through his voice). So it's more like yoongi music gives me strength, and jin comforts very much. I'm more like yoongi in a way that's why i relate to him a lot but i want to become someone like seokjin (or follow his postive principles in my life).. thats about my current bias line but I'm more of a OT7. I love all of them , every body is my bias at a point. Also the guide kinda didn't say a lot about jin hobbies and talents. He is good at many things as well . Also he is scouted by one of the big 3 companies in korea called SM entertainment in high school but he thought it was scam but somehow believed in this small company bighit when got scouted for the second time and ended up in BTS. He literally learned singing and dancing from scratch, especially in his late teens. Also, i wanna point out about the age system in the guide. The korean age is 2 years more . So when jungkook says he joined as a trainee at 15 years old , it's actually 13. If you love hip-hop, you are in for a treat. BTS started as a hip-hop group, and their hip-hop line is one of the best in Kpop. These boys are very dorky and funny . I'm see crying a lot, and i'm pretty sure you will laugh a lot as well because they are so funny . Try reacting to some BTS funny videos as well ( from channels like SugaArmy). Lots of loveeee💜

I don't know if you have Disney+ there, but BTS has a several-part series that came out in January. BTS Monument: Beyond the Star - I think that is the title. So, it's not fan made. It is BTS made in conjunction with an author who also helped them write a book that came out about a year ago.

They were still the #2 selling group in the US in 2023, even with no new studio album since 2020, no touring or appearances, the group on Hiatus since 2022 and all members serving or entering service in the military over 2023. I'm sure you probably know, it's Stray Kids who got the #1 spot for last year. 19:30 RM currently has 218 song copyright credits and is still the youngest most credited and the 2nd most credited overall in the country's history. Jin has 15, Suga 167, j-hope 73, Jimin 16, V 18, Jungkook 22. 22:57 "Who are they?" (Sips drink....) EXACTLY! Nobodies who are jealous, that's who. Some of the rappers in that round table discussion who were dissing them also tried out for labels and failed to get through auditions. The one who called them girls was BFree. He ended up in jail for drugs and assault. 31:41 j-hope is actually an introvert. He is an INFJ like me. He puts a lot of effort into being a mood-maker for the group and bringing joy, but he has to recharge from all that and he is often quiet when not working on camera. When they get drunk, he and Suga swap souls, LOL - Suga gets loud and j-hope gets very quiet. But j-hope is very expressive and also very affectionate. He is the emotional heart of the group and often referred to as the glue. The Maknae line think of him as kind of a mom, the emotional support figure and the chief cuddler. Everyone was a mess when j-hope enlisted, even Namjoon was crying. Jimin was sobbing and had to go sit in the car off camera. Actually, most of them are pretty introverted. The most naturally extroverted one is probably Namjoon/RM, followed by Taehyung/V. V is well known for making friends easily and being charming and smooth or funny and gentle, but always fairly comfortable around people. Jimin and Jungkook are famously shy, though both are also big ol flirts, especially Jimin. Jin and j-hope work hard to bring the mood when on camera and are comfortable with their family members at home, including their BTS brothers, but quite different with those they don't know well, especially if they are on their own, without their brothers to back them up. Jin and Jungkook get a stutter when they are nervous talking to new people. Suga is clearly a classic introvert.

I believe she said she won't make the other video until they are all re-united in 2025 after their military service. Jin enlisted first and will be out around June 2024. J-Hope was 2nd and should be out around October 2024. Suga enlisted in September '23 (I think) but is doing alternative service. The rest just enlisted in December 2023 and won't be out until June 2025. We do believe they have pre-recorded various things for ARMY that will come out during their enlistment. V was just featured acting in IU's latest MV - Love Always Wins.

That's funny, BTS debuted in 2013 as a Hip Hop Idol group. So their core is hip hop, but they don't hold to any one genre, and they are not afraid to experiment with other genre's. JK's new album is fully English. Their is only one other group that is with Big Hit music (TXT), and HYBE Labels is not their label, it's an umbrella company that came about because of Big Hit's financial growth, and their CEO wanted to separate the financial from the Music label. so they have also acquired other labels. Anyway, you will learn more about that, it's a whole other thing.
RM has 218+ KOMCA Credits as of November 2023, but I'm sure it will be more as soon as they get back from their service in 2025, because he was writing music before he left, but it hasn't been released yet, and he did a project with Pharrell Williams that hasn't been released yet. Also Suga has won awards for his collaborations with PSY - THAT THAT; and IU -EIGHT. And I'm sure there are more, I just don't know of them. And SUGA does like dancing now, and he did a dance routine to Haegeum, when you get to that song, and it was just for ARMY. He only did the dance practice and the TikTok challenges. 41:22 It might surprise you but Jin is actually the biggest introvert of the group. He's just very comfortable with the people closest to him. When he's with people he doesn't know well it becomes very clear. He and Suga are known as the eternal roommates because they've chosen to be roommates from the time they began having smaller rooms. They both very much need their time alone to recharge and have spent entire days together practically without speaking. As an introvert myself it's extremely relatable. 😅

"Yoongi, marry me" is iconic 😂. I think it started when V (Taehyung) read this phrase out loud from the chat in one of their lives and that's when it really became a meme. The members loved to tease Yoongi with it. Yoongi's reaction was usually along the lines of: "If I pretend it's not happening, it will stop." 🤣 I think even before this, he was the person that ARMYs would propose to a lot for several reasons. One of them being a livestream way back when he responded to a proposal with: "Bring the paperwork." And also his iconic white shirt look from the first season in In the Soop, which is generally perceived as the ultimate husband look 😂

All of the members have experience producing, some more than others, but I personally would not call them all "producers". RM himself said fairly recently that he rarely produces anymore and prefers song writing. Suga is by far the main actual producer in the group even if all 7 have produced songs at one point or another.

I am not really sure about straykids, I haven't heard any of their songs, but I'm sure they are also good on what they do. I respect all fandoms. But one thing, I am a music lover eversince I was a kid, and BTS rapline just hits different from all of the rappers I've heard before, RM and SUGA are underground rappers before BTS and as we know those who are from hiphop is known to be honestly brutal in their lyrics which they took with them, in all the rap songs they work on. And they passed what they've learned to Jhope who has found his own style. They're rap is full of honesty, hurt, and everything they are going through. They write all their lines in rapline songs which hits a lot. BTS Rapline is toptier so I hope you dig deeper to their songs as you mentioed you love rap, not to get you to be an Army but finding a song/music that resonates with us is something everyoe should experience. There's too much comfort and connection you'll feel....
Now as I got to know both groups, I can say that both groups are very very different. BTS have deeper words in their rap. They went through more hardships, and we can tell. Stray Kids put the meaningful lyrics more in the lyrical songs. They have deep meaning rap too, but not as much. If I am to compare Stray Kids to a BTS song, that would be Mic Drop. That is the closest (yet far away) from Stray Kids styles. Stray Kids rap is always upbeat and puts you in a happy and exciting mood, BTS rap bring up the most hidden emotions that I never knew I had.
So yeah, at the gym, I would probably stay away from BTS. 😂
By the way, I am a baby Army. After learning all this about them, and listening to their music, I cannot not be an Army. 💜💜💜

I get so excited when i hear BTS or Kpop in stores u just don't know, lol. Taylor kinda gave a short update to the Throga channel if u want to watch that on ur own. She still working on releasing another guide for ch.2. There are some other guides u can check out to learn more. I'll share them below. But u asked a good ques about Big Hit the label BTS is under. So TXT is part of that label. They came after BTS many yrs after. They are a great group but it was hard for them to make themselves known being in BTS shadow. All very talented and growing fast now. Over BTS is an older artist a solo Lee Hyun. He has a series on here. He a good singer. Then for HYBE there is Seventeen, New Jeans, Le SSERAFIM, Enhypen, &Team(Japan branch), etc. U can Goggle the rest there's a lot of new groups that i don't know they debuted in the past 2-3 yrs. HYBE bought a lot of smaller labels and so the groups are there's. BTS made Bang PD so much money and he grew the company that it got too big for him. He stepped down as CEO and hired someone else. He is now a chairman of HYBE. He still a music producer for BTS and other groups though. He very talented. The re-structure is complicated but i think they mention it in a guide somewhere. Might not be this guide though. So Suga actually likes dancing. He was a b-boy in the early years. But after his injury he could not dance without pain. So that's why he wanted to avoid dancing. My guy spent years dealing with so much pain its just wild thinking about it. Thank god he had surgery finally and is feeling way better. But because of all that he has to do civil service 21 months in the military. UwU We miss him. And he cannot talk with us so its even more depressing, shoot.

Since this video in May 2022, a LOT has happened.
First, in June they released an anthology album "Proof" and then announced that they would pause making music as a group and focus on solo work. This is partly because they have to do their mandatory military service for 18-21 months.
J-hope was the first to officially debut as a solo artist, releasing the album "Jack in the Box" in July and headlined in Lollapalooza later that month. The album tells a compelling story from beginning to end, with singles "More and "Arson".
They held a free concert in Busan in October, live streamed also for free all over the world.
Jin released a single "The Astronaut" in October, co-written by Coldplay and performed the song at a Coldplay stadium concert in Argentina. The two bands are very close friends. He joined the military shortly after.
RM released his album "Indigo" in December. A masterful journey through the genres, with singles "Wildflower" and "Still Life" ft. Anderson Paak.
Jimin released "Face" in March, telling about his emotional journey during the pandemic., with singles "Set Me Free Pt. 2" and "Like Crazy".
J-hope released the single "On the Street" ft. J. Cole, and joined the military shortly after.
Then Suga/Agust D released "D-Day" in April, an exploration on the theme of liberation, and then embarked on his world tour.
We are anticipating albums from V and JK later this year, and likely from Jin after his service.
Please note that before these official debuts, all members have released solo work, with all rappers releasing mixtapes and all singers releasing singles. But these past works were not officially released, meaning they were not available on Korean music platforms and not all were available on Spotify or iTunes. Most were gifts for fans, released on Soundcloud and with little to no promotion.
They plan to reconvene as a group in 2025 after they all completed their military service.

BTS started from the bottom and they've come all this way, ARMY walking up this mountain together with them... it's so inspiring to see that genuine hardwork and a love and passion for your craft can succeed and have such a spectacular impact on the world. I think of their story and how these 7 kids from all different places in South Korean came together and just worked and worked with no rewards, releasing their first album after years of training and selling 34 copies on it's first day. 2 days less of 8 years later they would release their anthology album Proof and sell 2.15 million copies on the first day... I feel so much pride to see how far they've come. I can't wait to see their synergy and bond in 2025, I'm sure it'll be stronger than ever.

6:20 Hundreds of groups debut in K-pop every year but extremely few make it more than 100 days and those are usually from the Big 3 Kpop companies. Boracity Magazine has made a great video on the music industry's (eastern and westerns') attempts to find "the next BTS" which covers a lot of the points you bring up. She also has some a amazing videos on BTS vs different entities in the music industry, like BTS vs Radio and BTS vs Spotify etc. They give you a great insight into the dynamics of the industry as a whole.
Taylor really did an amazing job on this intro. She even posted a draft, took on input from us and changed a lot accordingly however she mainly focused on the positive story of BTS but there's a darker side to their success as well. Rosan @xCeleste's video BTS Hardships 2013-2021 shows a very important part of their story and it goes a long way to explaining their uniquely close relationship with ARMY. I highly recommend it.
ARMY is actually an acronym for Adorable Representatives MC for Youth - doesn't sound quite as daunting now, does it? 😂 We really are all ages from 1 to 99, genders, faiths, nationalities, etc. We always try to portray the positive values of the group members themselves - love, respect and inclusivity - and although inevitably there are a few rotten apples in a fandom this big (approximately 15 million official fan club members and many millions more unofficial fans), if you receive any hateful comments they're most likely from antis/haters who try to discredit the fandom and BTS to deter reactions to their content. I'm just letting you know because unfortunately it's a common problem for BTS reactors and for us as well.
A few helpful tips:
- You might want to turn the volume up on the video you're reacting to. 😉
- If you want subtitles on their older songs you need to get them from the TH-cam channel 1theK. It's just as safe and legit to react to. It wasn't until later they started their current channels and they didn't bother putting subtitles on the oldest stuff.
- Since Taylor's video Vlive has been incorporated into Weverse, a platform developed by Big Hit but used by many artists and companies now. Fan club membership is not a requirement and that's where they go live now, post comments and respond directly to ARMY's posts if you're extremely lucky. 😅

At the end Britney saying that she will add some BTS songs to her Spotify playlist even though she doesn’t understand Korean, that’s exactly how BTS became popular, most of the ARMY’s didn’t understand their language, but they felt BTS’ sincerity and genuineness through their music, they talked about subjects like mental health, depression, harsh educational system and etc. Their hard work is reflected in the songs. Even thou the guide says they have a particular personality, which is true but suga can be extremely sweet as sugar and even very outgoing that's why he was able to host his amazing show called SUCHWITA. I hope you react to it at some point , yoongi is genius, and his work speaks for him. he went through some real real shit and regarding Jin , he can come across extremely extroverted and loud but my guy is very introverted and his songs tells about his personality other wise ( jin is known to have the very emotional songs , his solos are my personal favorite in BTS discography, his song named EPIPHANY saved me and made me Army. So i think he expresses his raw self in his music and through his voice). So it's more like yoongi music gives me strength, and jin comforts very much. I'm more like yoongi in a way that's why i relate to him a lot but i want to become someone like seokjin (or follow his postive principles in my life).. thats about my current bias line but I'm more of a OT7. I love all of them , every body is my bias at a point. Also the guide kinda didn't say a lot about jin hobbies and talents. He is good at many things as well . Also he is scouted by one of the big 3 companies in korea called SM entertainment in high school but he thought it was scam but somehow believed in this small company bighit when got scouted for the second time and ended up in BTS. He literally learned singing and dancing from scratch, especially in his late teens. Also, i wanna point out about the age system in the guide. The korean age is 2 years more . So when jungkook says he joined as a trainee at 15 years old , it's actually 13. If you love hip-hop, you are in for a treat. BTS started as a hip-hop group, and their hip-hop line is one of the best in Kpop. These boys are very dorky and funny . I'm see crying a lot, and i'm pretty sure you will laugh a lot as well because they are so funny . Try reacting to some BTS funny videos as well ( from channels like SugaArmy). Lots of loveeee💜

I don't know if you have Disney+ there, but BTS has a several-part series that came out in January. BTS Monument: Beyond the Star - I think that is the title. So, it's not fan made. It is BTS made in conjunction with an author who also helped them write a book that came out about a year ago.

They were still the #2 selling group in the US in 2023, even with no new studio album since 2020, no touring or appearances, the group on Hiatus since 2022 and all members serving or entering service in the military over 2023. He puts a lot of effort into being a mood-maker for the group and bringing joy, but he has to recharge from all that and he is often quiet when not working on camera. When they get drunk, he and Suga swap souls, LOL - Suga gets loud and j-hope gets very quiet. But j-hope is very expressive and also very affectionate. He is the emotional heart of the group and often referred to as the glue. The Maknae line think of him as kind of a mom, the emotional support figure and the chief cuddler. Everyone was a mess when j-hope enlisted, even Namjoon was crying. Jimin was sobbing and had to go sit in the car off camera.
Actually, most of them are pretty introverted. The most naturally extroverted one is probably Namjoon/RM, followed by Taehyung/V. V is well known for making friends easily and being charming and smooth or funny and gentle, but always fairly comfortable around people. Jimin and Jungkook are famously shy, though both are also big ol flirts, especially Jimin. Jin and j-hope work hard to bring the mood when on camera and are comfortable with their family members at home, including their BTS brothers, but quite different with those they don't know well, especially if they are on their own, without their brothers to back them up. Jin and Jungkook get a stutter when they are nervous talking to new people. Suga is clearly a classic introvert.

@@lorydannagr BTS and now TxT is the only two groups and one solo artist Lee Hyun who came before them their company is actually called Bighit Entertainment but their founder Bang Si-hyuk expanded their company into now Hybe that has other labels under Hybe as well. Such as BeLift Lab which has two groups which at first has the group Enhyphen and now I’LL-IT, Source Music, ADOR, Pledis Entertainment and KOZ Entertainment. Hope that helps 😀

@@lorydannagr Taylor has said there won't be an "update", but a 2nd video for the period June 2022 through? I believe she said she won't make the other video until they are all re-united in 2025 after their military service. Jin enlisted first and will be out around June 2024. J-Hope was 2nd and should be out around October 2024. Suga enlisted in September '23 (I think) but is doing alternative service. The rest just enlisted in December 2023 and won't be out until June 2025. We do believe they have pre-recorded various things for ARMY that will come out during their enlistment. V was just featured acting in IU's latest MV - Love Always Wins.

I do believe that they strategically planned when they enlist and when they come out, cus Jin will be back a day before their 11th anniversary. RM, Jimin, V and JK will be back before a day or 2 before their 12th anniv.. Hobi probably just wanted it to be done with asap, cus he's the 3rd eldest and we thought Yoongi's going after Jin but it was Hobi after Jin.. then Yoongi's the last one to come out, a week after their 12th anniv.. and it's so sad, cus aside from that, we also won't hear anything from him, he can't post anything on his acc, even on Weverse, we basically will see him after he finish his service
