• A Guide to BTS Members...
Don't worry about ppl getting offended!.💜 it's not just an opinion it's a fact Yet most of them don't wanna believe it.
BTS PAVED THE WAY FOR KPOP.
Even years ago a lot of 2nd gen groups also tried to enter the western music industry but they failed. In fact they made it more difficult for next gens to re-enter it again. No hate to any groups , they all worked hard. But we gotta admit the truth. Its not humiliating to say that they made it easier for groups to promote in america , they gave them the chance to be more known. And many artists recognized that like psy , twice , hoshi , txt , chan and many more.
Those are artists that seem grateful and are taking this opportunity to shine each on their own.
That’s fact bts paved the way for all kpop bts is megastar
BTW -
Yoongi/Suga loves dancing and is a great dancer. For years we didnt know that he had been in a bad car accident and had shattered and dislocated his shoulder. He lied to everyone, even his brothers, because he was afraid of being kicked out of the group and also of messing up the debut for the others, with all the songs being written and choreaograohed for 7 people. They had not even debuted at that time.
There is a PG version of his accident in an MV (Amygdala) but what actually happened was it was pouring rain in the predawn hours and he was hit by a delivery truck while on his scooter and drug underneath it. Prior to that time, he had been practicing break dancing (b-boying) with j-hope for fun even above all the dance practices they did for work. After that time he was often seen grumpy and tired and we didn't know he was secretly managing this injury all those years (7 years) before he finally got surgery to fix his shoulder.
Here is a video of him finally confessing to his brothers about the accident and you can see their faces fall as they all realize what he is saying and what he went though all that time, though he says it rather lightheartedly.
th-cam.com/video/jLnajeR1N5U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HENB7a04HNI1fpm1
And here is him recently, all healed and dancing like a maniac to choreo he did just for fun. This is a spoiler to Haegeum, so you might want to wait til you hear that song or watch with no sound just to see his dancing.

Suga is so into basketball that the NBA asked him to be an ambassador, which he accepted
The guy that made fun of RM and SUGA at that radio interview went to jail. He’s from Hawaii and they specifically call him out in one of their cyphers. You really must react to the cyphers if you like rap. There are 4 of them and you can easily do them all in the same reaction or maybe do the first 2, then the last two. Bars for days! They were released over a period of a few years and you can really hear their evolution both in the sound quality and their maturing perspectives on life. You asked for 1 song for each member and that’s hard because they are so diverse even within their solo discographies. The rappers alone have 8 albums between them. Technically, 5 are considered mixtapes, but the quality is still so good. Plus, they’ve been at this for over 10 years now. Their music both lyrically and stylistically has changed because they are ever evolving as human beings and as artists. The whole reason RM doesn’t still go by Rap Monster is because he reached a point where he said that he wasn’t a monster. SUGA’s Agust D persona was born out of a lot of anger and emotional damage from life events and his own mental health issues. He eluded to retiring that persona after his world tour earlier this year. He’s okay now and we’re all so happy for him. I may have to do another post after thinking about my recommendations, but I’m sure you’ll get lots from ARMYs. Loving how engaged you are for this reaction! Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
if you're talking about BFree, why did he go to jail? i never heard about it! can you lmk
physical violence😊

Just so you know BTS and Army do get very political. BTS is one of the only kpop groups who from their first song have made songs about social commentary and political songs although most are subtle because of Korean culture. But they aren’t shy about speaking up. Really enjoyed your commentary!
Alot of ARMY say that you find BTS or BTS finds you when you need it most. I was shown BTS after having my 2nd of 9 brain surgeries. My daughter introduced me. In 2016 i became a devoted ARMY. I also like Taemin, Got7, Shinee, Straykids, TxT and others. But BTS just makes me happy, loved, calm, and confident.💜🇺🇲💜
Rm and jimin are the punching bag in fanwars but they are the strongest and nicest human beings ever
true recently it became even worse , they attacking jimin & joon for every stupid reasons
@@satyachowdary5291 Some of those attacks were disgusting sexual in nature due to the fact they both have tattoos'. I won't repeat what was posted but it was vile.
You wondered if there was anything that BTS cannot do. There is. They can’t lip sync to save themselves! One comment I read is that it is pretty funny to watch them try. Their CEO, Hitman Bang, has made them stop making any effort to do so. In a situation where other artists might lip sync, BTS just closes their mouths making it obvious that the audience is listening to a backup track! Thanks for your engaging reaction! I purple you! 💜 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Actually BTS pioneered/popularized the whole groups having variety shows thing.
Yeah! And so many other things, it's really interesting to see how much of the way they paved! They are the blueprint, they've inspired so much in many different aspects. BTS connecting to their fans in their own ways are ways that are now practically required to do as kpop groups.
yes I remember when groups started doing halloween costumes dance practices after them
True and RM's idea of making mixed tapes for the vocalist to hear of different types of music is now used within the HYBE company. It's seen as part of artist development.
Omg yess i love their message too. Bts' lyrics has been deep since day one.
Example;
Orul82? , skool luv affair. They talk about school and education in general. How adults are always pushing on kids by asking them " what is your dream? " and forcing them to follow the system.
- dark&wild talks about transition to adulthood.
- the 3 " most beautiful moments in life " albums talk about the start of one's youth in which beauty coexists with uncertainty. It's about tasting the bitterness of grown-up life but choosing to move forward without looking back.
- the album wings talks about encountering temptation for the first time , pondering , agonizing in the face of it and achieving growth at the end. Its storyline its actually inspired by hermann hesse's book "demian."
- the love yourself album series talk about self acceptance
- the map of the soul albums talk about the artistic identity of bts
- the " BE " album is about the pandemic.
And finally proof witch is an anthology album that closes the first chapter of BTS after going into their 10th year.
I hope you follow this journey to know more about their amazing career.
They are legends.💜!!
Their variety show, Run BTS, has around 150 episodes. Run BTS is also a song that became the show’s new intro last year and is fire! There’s no MV, but there’s a great dance practice and they performed it live at their free Busan concert held in October 2022. Plus, they have a song named Run that is part of the Bangtan Universe (BU). Nothing to get confused about here. Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
And of course do not omit "Run BTS" which spawned multiple dance challenges ( I THINK even Stray Kids but could be wrong). Look at rhe Busan concert for amazing performance. Get a stick to prop your chin up :)
she mentioned it. Pls re-read her comment, lol. @@Maraaha55
u explain it so well but they really be setting up newbies for a headache with Run, Run BTS and Run BTS the song, lmao.
RM and Suga are some of the finest lyricists out there. Not just in their RAP. RM is a philosopher poet and Suga has some of the most searing honest and viceral lyrics in the business. BTS started the Love Yourself campaign.
FYI, those 700 awards were only as of March 2022. As of the present, they have already won over 900 awards plus 36 Guinness World record excluding their individual awards and Guinness Word Record and counting. They are on hiatus due to mandatory military enlistment. 3 of the members have already enlisted. Each member has already released their solo work and are topping charts, album and song sales. BTS is the only KPop group who have 6 out of 7 members sold more than a million single and album copies as soloists. 2 or the members Jinmin and Jungkook have entered Billboard Hot 100 both in the #1 position (the only Asian artists to do that), Billboard 200 and Billboard Global (Jungkook #1 and Jimin #2) while other members have also entered the Billboard Hot 100. BTS got three number 1 albums in less than a year. The last group to do that was The Beatles.
"RUN BTS" is their own variety show where the members play games and do some challenges. "RUN BTS" is also a song which is about their journey as KPop idolS. They also have a song called "RUN". And by the way, if you had known BTS earlier, you would have known as well that they were the first KPop group to release a trilogy album about LOVING YOURSELF (Love Yourself: Her in September 2017; Love Yourself: Tear in May 2018; Love Yourself: Answer in August 2018) The reason why they become global is because of the message they sent through their lyrics that resonate to the general public. I am not a KPop or any western boy band fan since but I became an ARMY in 2021 because of BTS' LOVE YOURSELF and Map of the Soul Albums. After listening to all their old songs from their debut album in 2013 to present, I realized that I have stanned the right group.
About Jimin not singing well during his encore after winning for LIKE CRAZY, I saw that video too. His in-ears weren't working well that's why he couldn't hear his voice and for a moment, he had to drop his voice to feel his in-ears but then continued singing. Even some music producers who reacted to it said that. Haters were just jealous and had to say those nasty things about him. Jimin has proven himself to be a great singer and has been praised by a lot of singers, producers and musicians countless of times. So no matter what they say, I will still stan him together with the other members. Jimin is my bias, he got me to stan BTS. PROMISE is just a free song that Jimin wrote for his fans in Sound Cloud. By the way, here are the list of their individual songs work. Sorry, I can't just list one. In fact, I want to list more.
RM- Wild Flower; Still, Joke, album: INDIGO
Jin- Astronaut, Epiphany, Awake
Suga- Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala, album: D-Day
Jhope- More, Arson, Hope On The Street, album: JACK IN THE BOX
Jimin- Like Crazy (First to top Billboard Hot 100 after 60 years in the history of BB 100), Set Me Free, Serendipity, Lie, Filter (has amazing live performances especially Serendipity, Lie and Filter) album: FACE
V- Slow Dancing, Singularity, Stigma, album: LAYOVER
Jungkook- Euphoria, Dreamers, Seven (Second to top the Billboard Hot 100 5 months after Jimin) , album: GOLDEN
BORAHAE💜💜💜
oh gosh is it now 36 last time I checked it was 28 just goes to show how they are continually breaking and setting records.
And it was Jimin who got the #1 BB and then JK a few months later.
According to "legend", Jungkook was visiting Big Hit and happened to meet RM in the dorms so RM was only wearing underwear and the story goes that JK basically blurted out "Thighs!" - and then joined Big Hit. ;)
Also, when JK says he was 15 when he joined, he means Korean age - he was 13 when he became a trainee, and 15 when they had their debut. The pressure of being the main vocal at 15 must have been insane.
Both V (who IS very handsome) and Jungkook have won multiple "Most handsome/beautiful man/person" awards over the years, V was even inducted into the Hall of Fame for one because he one 1st place or placed in the top 5 several years in a row.
Suga's aversion to dancing came IN PART because he injured his shoulder working as a bike delivery guy during his trainee period. They weren't supposed to work outside of their trainee duties, but his family couldn't afford to support him so he HAD to. So he lied for YEARS, saying he fell down the stairs when he was actually hit by a car. The injury wasn't completely treated and healed, and he suffered pain and impaired motion for YEARS, having to get shots when they were on tour etc. until he was finally able to take 6 months off in 2020-21 to get it PROPERLY fixed and do physical rehab. Now, it's clear that he's actually come to ENJOY dancing when it doesn't hurt.
The performance Jimin got hate for wasn't even a performance. It was the closing song at a music show. They are generally taken as a time where the artists can goof around a little. I also think there were some technical issues (because things are literally being shut down at that point), but even if there weren't, it's not supposed to be a serious performance. His actual performance was amazing and he sounded great, but people love to hate on BTS members in general, so they took it out of context.
They bring that Jimin encore clip up every damn time cause frankly, they don’t have anything else to drag Jimin for. That’s not even the worst of hates he gets on a regular basis - animal names, SA jokes and editing his photos to drag his visuals too. It’s all smoke and nothing substantial. The hate is so forced and borne out of jealousy, period. Jimin used to be so active online and now, he’s more reserved and I’m so glad because he doesn’t need to see any of that. They can’t attack his personality, his work ethics, his skills and art, so they make up lies 🤷🏻♀️
Re hate towards Jimin. The mentioned perfomrance was not an actual performance. it was an encore after winning 1st place on a Music Show. His inears were not working and there were technical difficulties. That 10 sec clip is the sole clip haters have to try an use against him in his 10+ year career. he can most definitely sing live and always does. Fun fact many KPop singers do not sing live, whereas BTS always does.
BTS antis just want something to hate on boys. It's very difficult to dig on something bcz they always give their 100% in their performance also personality wise they are gems. So whenever the antis find evn the slightest of mistakes, they will blow out of proportion. That's the amount of hate BTS gets.
Bts and monsta x sing live 🔥🔥
It's so hard to find something bad to accuse BTS of because they are so talented and so hardworking and just such good people. So haters make things up or twist and reframe things. They get accused all the time of things with zero truth in them and Big Hit/Hybe lawyers are in court constantly protecting them.
I think it was the fake live version with charlie puth.
Suga is a huge basketball fan and the NBA ambassador. That ass dissing our boys went to the jailhouse lol. And everything Suga writes is his own story from his heart
While I also believe there is no justification for the backlash, I want to educate you a little on underground rap in general. Underground rap has nothing to do with being at the "bottom", as many are actually elite. It is so named because it isn't mainstream, which could be subject to trends and censorship. Underground is very raw. Idols often did not write their own music, so moving from underground would be considered selling out (caring more about the money than the art). BTS, however, was an exception. They had much more creative control over their music. While much of the Idol industry is still label manufactured, thankfully many more groups are now participating in the writing and production.
New comment cause other was lengthy, lol. 26:47 Underground rap has nothing to do with "money, &itches, and hos either and these fools aren't the best representatives. Underground rap historically was categorized by being socially conscious, positive, and anti commercial. It was the underground that moved and helped people.
Their reasons for hating on RM & Suga are totally unwarranted and disrespectful. Ironically the argument you are making here, is the same argument a true underground artist would make. BTS was essentially the underground of the Idol industry.
1:01:20 at the end of the day, noone will know Jimin for getting one note wrong, he will be known as member of biggest group in the last 40 years, amazing dancer, 5+ grammy nominee, BB hot100 #1
Those haters will rot in their misery and i am not even pity them, they deserve it
Nevermind is the song who save me from a very dark place in my life. 💜
1:13:13 one of Jimin's tattoos are 'YOUNG FOREVER', he has it tattooed with one word on the back of each arm over his elbows. It means so much to him.
Thanks for reacting to this video. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Some solo songs to listen to RM "Joke" if you want to hear is rapping, it's one of his older songs or a newer song from about a year ago is "Still Life". Both are good. Suga aka AgustD (solo name) Daechwita it's part of a trilogy. The next 2 songs after that would be "Haegeum and Amygdala". J-Hope he made a song to the Army before he went to the military "On The Street feat J-Cole". Jin he asked Cold Play to help him with a song before he left to the military a year ago "Astronaut". This was made for the Army as well. Jung Kook just dropped his solo album. "Standing Next to You" MV just came out on the 3rd or an older song would be "Euphoria". V his solo album came out a few months ago "Slow Dancing". Jimin his solo album came out earlier this year. "Like Crazy" is a newer song but there's a live performance "Serendipity" which is nice an earlier song. Run BTS is also a song. But their is a variety show called RUN BTS along with In The Soop (staycation during covid), Bon Voyage is when BTS travels to another country and show their true self. All the shows are fun to watch. Remember this is your reaction and be free to say, do or pause as you want.
I found BTS years ago, and they were the ones who got me into KPOP in general. It's actually insane on how popular they've gotten but I love seeing people become new ARMY's :)
Run BTS is the first Idol Variety show that isn't affiliated with main media channel's, those by Stray Kid's were long after this began
Those of Big3 n more with connection's had Media play their show's while BTS started theirs on VLIVE, which they made the app most popular
I would recommend Rise Of Bangtan series, highly suggested
Absolutely loved your reaction. There have been so many "over-enthusiastic", "not-so-authentic" BTS reactors out there that I don't happen to enjoy watching a lot of them these days. Channels like yours are rare finds. I loved seeing you actively engaging with the video and ACTUALLY, GENUINELY, REACTING to it. You earned a new subscriber!
As for solo song recommendations, I will give a list of my favs. You can react to them at your convenience:
RM:
Joke (A song written as a clap back to people claiming he cannot rap fast. He gives them back a fast, yet "meaningless" song spitting literally "nonsense" as a "Joke"!
Seoul, Moonchild (Beautiful examples of his poetic genius)
Wildflower, Still Life, All Day, Closer (Gems from his recent album, Indigo)
Suga:
Daechwita, Haegeum, Amygdala (A trilogy that can be interpreted at various levels, including one telling his life story)
Strange (with RM)- particularly relevant to the context of what's happening in the world today.
People and People pt.2, Nevermind, Snooze
J-Hope:
Arson, More, Equal sign (From his latest album JITB)
Ego, Daydream, Chicken Noodle Soup, On the street, Mama
Jimin:
Promise, Lie, Filter, Friends (with V),
Set me Free, Like Crazy (From his latest album, Face)
V:
Winter Bear, Singularity
Love me Gain, Slow Dancing (From his latest album, Layover)
Jungkook: Euphoria, Still with you
Standing Next to You, Hate you, Shot glass of tears, Too sad to Dance, Somebody (From his latest album, Golden)
BTS rap focussed songs:
Ugh
Baapsae
Paldogangsan
Spine breaker
Ddaeng
The Cypher series
I will keep the rest of the recommendations for another time. 😄I hope you enjoy the BTS ride! Borahae!💜
Run Bts is a variety show (you have to search the episode with it) but if you search Run BTS song, it's a song from Proof album. There is another song which is called Run from 2015. Yes please do watch the run variety show. It is very fun. The Bon voyage - 4 seasons and in the soop - 2 seasons, are also very fun and you can see there friendship better. Fun fact: Jungkook is really brave , he did bunjee jumping upside down from the new Zealand tallest bunjee jumping place. Borahae 💜💜
The rapper dissing them was Bfree. But it should also be understood that at the time and still to some extent today K-pop was a largely manufactured idol producing industry.. where message, look and behavior was completely controlled by the entertainment companies
The thing that made bang si hyuk big hit and BTS different is that they wrote composed and produced their own music … virtually unheard of at the time… that’s why groups like stray kids and the rose can do 100 per cent of their music themselves today…

RM - do you MV w subs
I think you will love the message
Suga - Haegeum .. again the msg but also amazing MV

We will walk the path with you. It’s what army does
There are almost no romantic love songs from BTS… the words she you and her mostly refer to ARMY..
Welcome to our rabbit hole
The jokes about Jin being "third guy from the left" and all that was from him catching the attenion of the general public who don't know BTS and then talking about him on social media without knowing his name 😂
Great reaction, i'm glad you enjoy learning more about them. For their solos, I think it would be interesting if you can pick 2 songs with different vibes to react to for each members, since each of them are very interesting, multifaceted artist, that is what interest me the most about them. Here’s some of my recommendations that show their different sides and duality:
RM - Do You (2015) + Wild flower (2022)
J-hope - Piece Of Peace (2018) + Arson (2022)
Suga / Agust D - The Last (2016) + Daechwita (2020) / Haegeum (2023)
Jin - Epiphany (2018) + The Astronaut (2022)
Jimin - Lie (2016) + Like Crazy (2023)
V - Singularity (2018) + Slow Dancing (2023)
JK - Begin (2016) + Standing Next To You (2023)
Some of these are worth reacting to the live performances too, since they are genuinely amazing live performer. If you need recommendation for live performance, let me know. Have fun and I hope you enjoy the journey 💜
Good choices! Particularly for RM & J-Hope, different sides indeed! Personally, for Suga (as Agust D) I would pick Agust D or The Last and People Pt. 2 or Snooze from his latest album D-Day as the “different sides” (Just to avoid breaking up the Daechwita-Haegeum-Amygdala trilogy) Gah! This is always so hard when they have so many good songs!
Jimin gets a LOT of unnecessary hate
The performance you're referring is after he won on a music show people were already bitter that he won. Post winning he had to do an encore of the song, since the music was hardly audible from all yhe singing and he didn't have his inear he could hardly hear the music & was singing slightly off pitch, that video was circulated around internet with lot of hate comments
BTS vocalists usually get a lot of hate in general, especially from older kpop stans
In the past it was common for kpop artists would use to mostly lip sync for tough choreography songs & for ballads sing live. BTS would sing live irrespective if there is choreo or not & not always becuz of heavy movement the vocal comes at perfectly. Sight straining in voice kpop stans would attack BTS saying they prefer their lip sync idols than strained vocals & that their idols have good vocals when(if they ever) sing live
BTS has 4 distinct vocalists who have always been praised by actual vocal critics over the years!
It's such a shame too. That video is still being circulated by a certain fandom on Twitter between 50 and 100 times per day.😡 We have heard Jimin sing live, acoustic versions of his songs, and acapella tons of times behind the scenes. We know he can sing, but he is not very confident in his vocal abilities and that part upsets me a lot.😢 I just wish he understood how much people love his voice. No singer is perfect. Even JK sings a flat note every once in awhile although very rarely!😂💜

that performance jimin that you saw ppl talking about was actually an encore and the earpiece wasn't working
but kpop community loves very much to use each opportunity they can to create a hate train on bts. it was ugly. they made it a challenge, were reaching goals for hate quotes on that tweet, their attitude was literally "vote for our fav and then go write another hate tweet bestie", I'm not kidding. it's not about the vocals at this point, they just love to be nasty to our boys, they can't stand bts' success, it's their sore thumb
fr i saw those 40k hate quotes against jimin on that day ,, people know jimin gonna torture himself for every mistake and people making fun of the encore infact encore is for artists to enjoy their win only not to perform seriously moreover after few seconds jimin sung so well
@@satyachowdary5291And those other groups who win lip sync. 10 years of beautiful singing trumps 1 issue.
the song is "promise" by jimin you can react to it it's a really beautiful song
you can also see jimin's filter live for his solo
JK indeed has a deep love for army. He got his first tattoo ARMY on his right hand, wrote and composed a song for army called 'Still with you' and a lot of fans are attached to this song, lyrics are very beautiful. He gets emotional whenever army does something for him. Each member have different mic colors and JK's mic is purple!
31:46 Suga and his First love what mafe me cry for hours first time i heard it even without knowing lyrics, and what made me life long BTS fan and what made me get therapy first time ever. And in his recent album Amygdala, the mv is amazing. He somehow writes about his personal stories the way it makes your relieve your own
Joon: Lonely (Indigo)
Jin: Abyss
Yoongi: Amygdala
Hobi: Outro: Ego
Jimin: Set Me Free part 2
Tae: Love Me Again
JK: Euphoria
BTS: Magic Shop or On: Kinetic Manifesto
Just subscribed, it's rare to see reactors like you. Rational.
Fun fact. I didn't know any groups beside BTS before. Then, i saw this clip of a guy telling "you have to admit BTS paved the way and they're legends".. and so i found out that he was a leader of a group.
Yep, it was straykids.. i dont know much about them, but that clip of bangchan alone made me respect their group. Because it's rare for groups to give credit. But he seemed like to mean what he said out of respect. He must have loved BTs rap line and BTS' social commentary songs.
Here's my recommendation each member: along w/ context:
RM - Wildflower (It's about his thoughts after achieving more than he asked for and how fame shackled him)
AGUSTD - The last (This song speaks for itself, it's too emotional and personal for me to explain and self harm is addressed)
Jhope-Hansang (This is a song about their come up story as a team, how they faced everything to get to where they are and also about gratefulness)
Jin-Awake (This is Jin's personal song, about his insecurities within BTS because he felt like he's the least noticable one in the group, but still he wants to fly with the group even though his wings can't)
Jimin-Lie (This song is traumatizing, i can't explain it, it seems like he's fighting with his inner demon or his stage persona and how he can't get away from himself)
V-Singularity (this one is about silencing oneself in order to fit in, there's a lot in this song but I'm too dumb ti break it down)
JK-Still with you (this song is for the fans, it was during pandemic when for the first time in their life they can't perform and see their fans f2f, so this is a comforting song and a promise)
Lastly, one of my favorite social commentary song is UGH by the rapline. Be sure to react to an explanation video of it from DKDKTV as well. Because its hard to understand due to cultural context and wordplay.
Welcome STAY. I bestow upon you the title: 'Baby ARMY'. Whether or not you decide to react to the group, please have BTS in your life. It's a rare, positive space for when you need to retreat from the often toxic world.
💜🇨🇦
RM talent is unmatchable, he's the main rapper, songwriter and composer with more than 200 songs credits under his name
I have a feeling this is going to be long, but...
Had to pause around 7:48 - The way I describe it:
PSY opened the door.
Other K-Pop artists slowly filtered through that door - new artists/groups as well as older ones people in the West were "just now" discovering - after learning about PSY.
BTS? BTS said "F the door", blew a hole in the wall, and came crashing in...whether the world was ready for them or not! LOL
NOTE: I may edit this once I've gotten more into the video....but only if I feel the need or don't see a comment about a question you may have.
Okay...yeah....here we go...LOL
EDIT 1:
Run BTS! is their (currently) 166 episode variety show. It first aired in August of 2015. They never had a theme song, but often talked about making one in various interviews when the show would come up. Basically, they just used whatever current song of theirs was popular during the into to the show. In late 2021/early 2022, yep, Run BTS the song was created and was added to their mid-2022 release "Proof" (a 3-disc anthology album). So, while it still wasn't - technically - a theme song for the show, it does have a lot of mentions about how they felt "back in the day" and "now"...how they started/where they are...and thanking ARMY for sticking with them.
P.S. "Bon Voyage" (4 seasons, 8 episodes each, if I remember correctly) is hilarious, serious, and SO much more. The premise is the men go on vacation. With nothing. Well, they pick the place, are given an "allowance" (they can NOT spend their own money!) for the trip, and the must find their way around/do everything for themselves - checking in at airports, renting vehicles when needed, etc. The only thing the company really provides is maps and locations for them to be at...and hints on how to use public transportation to get there (or limited walking directions).
"In the SOOP" (2 seasons) is "them time" - they get a 4-7 day stay at a local (in South Korea) and...well...the first season was basically an AIRbnb...the second season, the company actually bought a HUGE old, abandoned property they updated/refurbished for their stay. They got to pick what they wanted to do, what they wanted to eat, etc. so the places they stayed "had it all". Much more relaxed, even with the cameras on pretty much 24/7, compared to them rushing around to do everything during Bon Voyage.
EDIT 2:
A single song by each is....difficult. LOL
RM: He has released 2 mixtapes plus 1 official solo album. I'd go with "Joke" (first mixtape) or "Wildflower" (off of "Indigo", his first official solo album released last year).
Jin: "The Astronaut" - it's about/for ARMY and has SO much symbolism, but being new, you may not fully understand it, of course. Alternately, I'd go for "Moon" (one of my all time favs.)
Suga: I...honestly don't even know where to start here. I LOVE "Agust D" (basically a solo cypher) if you're only doing one. However, between his second mixtape ("D-2") and his first official album ("D-Day"), he has an incredible trilogy of "Daechwita", "Haegeum", and "Amygdala"...those three are REALLY worth the watch.
J-Hope: I LOVE "Mama" (literally, a tribute to his mom for supporting his career choice) or "More" (off his first official album) as that one combines several genres in one song.
Jimin: "Serendipity" (LIVE performance, not the MV), "Filter" (him in the red suit in the thumbnails of the videos posted)...or my current favorite "Set Me Free Pt. 2" (nope, don't bother looking for Pt. 1 - there isn't one...he loved Suga's "Set Me Free", it's somewhat along the same lines, so...he just titled his as the added "Pt. 2", but the two songs really have nothing to do with each other other *than* the titles).
V: Another hard one. Most ARMY love "Stigma" or "Singularity", but my favorite actually came just a couple months ago...."Love Me Again" off of his first official album.
Jungkook: Yet another hard one. Though I'll go with either "Standing Next to You" or "Shot Glass of Tears", both off of his new album "Golden" that just came out a few weeks ago. Standing Next to You is a more upbeat, "dance-y" song, often compared to Michael Jackson while Shot Glass of Tears is slower, and kinda sad. Other than those two, the one Taylor used in this video - "Begin" - and "My Time"...or "Euphoria". Take your pick. LOL
EDIT 3:
Fun Facts: 1 - Jin getting off the bus...it happened. TWICE! The first time, he thought it was a scam and threw away the business card (SM Entertainment, if I remember correctly)...BigHit was the second. Thankfully he did his research! However, BigHit told him - as an "entertainment" company, they would get him acting roles. NOT that he was scouted to be in a group. Which is why he HAD to learn how to sing and dance as a trainee. Also...HE created the Worldwide handsome thing because he was insecure about his looks.
EDIT 4:
V was hidden until debut because back then (not sure about now), poaching was a serious thing in K-Pop. Especially someone like V (or Jin), if other companies knew about him, they'd come by - offering a "bigger, better" contract to lure those at smaller companies. BigHit did everything possible to protect their "investment". Problem is...they never told HIM why! He - and Jimin - would often cry at night, Jimin supporting and comforting him, and vice versa, because Jimin was always in danger of being cut.
EDIT 5:
As far as Jimin not sounding "quite right"...there were a LOT of technical issues. He still got through the performance. Some are accusing the show of sabotaging him, having those technical issues on purpose. But, yeah...not everyone sounds great 100% of the time. Yoongi somewhat just recently ended a World Tour...he got sick the last leg of the tour...yet STILL performed (nursing some honey-tea-something concoction before, after - and even during! - the shows he still had left to do!). Some parts of his shows, it literally looked like he was about to cough up a damn lung, but he kept going. They are professionals. It would have been SO easy for Jimin to have just said "No!" (and then *still* gotten hate - for canceling that performance, anyway!)...but he soldiered on, trying his best, given all the difficulties. I don't think Jimin sounded *bad*, but he was definitely..."off". Just not quite up to his normal performance quality. It happens, but way too many don't understand that and it sucks that they don't.
EDIT 6:
That last bit...ARMY singing "Young Forever"...the song goes through their hopes and fears from the beginning. Their concert at Wembley Stadium...where 90-95% of the population only speak English...were singing their song...to them...IN Korean. Most of them broke down. The song is so special to them, Jimin even has a tattoo of it ("Young" on the back of his left arm, just above his elbow, and "Forever" in the same spot on his right arm) so...yeah...he was pretty much bawling. For the full effect, I highly recommend the full video of that happening: th-cam.com/video/mmKW8mnsB-4/w-d-xo.html My favorite one has - sadly - been marked as private since the last time I watched it, but this one is close enough.
Even tho i did knew all that i wanted to thank you for taking of your time to explain to others i really appreciate it and i don't think i would have explained it better than you did so thanks again 😊💜 and looks like i found some one how write a long text when the put a comment like me😂
@@BTS_STAN_7KINGS When it comes to BTS...I don't think I can write a short text. LOL Over 10 years of songs and footage, it's just so hard to narrow anything down to just a sentence or two. I don't see how others do it.
OMG! Such a great comment! Thank you so much ARMY for taking your time to write this! Much love, borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
@@joannabartocha1815 You're welcome. You've got a LOT of catching up to do...if you do decide to stick with this whole BTS rabbit hole thing. Honestly, I'd just go to their official channel and hit all of the MV's - and dance practices, etc. - "in order"...and/or look up each album (in order) and watch the MV (when there is one), a dance practice (some songs only have a dance practice, without an MV), and a live performance or two, for each song. There's just SO much to recommend, you're going to need a 5-subject, college-ruled, notebook at some point to keep track of it all! LOL Borahae!
@@MystiqueRisingSunyeah like it's IMPOSSIBLE to do it in just one or tow sentence😂 the day someone can do it that we all will be gone😅
This is the list. I also considered your taste for meaningful music.
RM - Wild Flower / Persona
Jin - Epiphany / The Astronaut
Suga - Daechitwa / 28 / Snooze
JHOPE - Ego / 1VERSE / Arson
Jimin - Serendipity / Filter / Alone / Like Crazy
Taehyung - Singularity / Stigma
Jungkook - Euphoria / Still With You
BTS - Magic Shop
They have an extensive list of solos honestly as they are all successful soloists individually. This is just a starter.
But please let your first group song be Magic Shop. Then you’ll understand and better appreciate the relationship between bts and army.
And you can continue exploring NEVERMIND by Suga. You’ll love it
As suggestions for their solo songs:
RM - Wild Flower
Jin - The Astronaut
Agust D (Suga) - haegeum (but this is the second song in his trilogy, the first being Daechwita, and the third being amygdala. It make more sense if you watch them in order
J-hope - More
Jimin - set me free pt2
V - Love me Again (there is an MV, but I prefer the band session)
Jungkook - Standing next to you
Jimin's Lie and Like Crazy are the best of his best solo.
V Singularity and Slow Dancing
Set Me Free Pt2 for Jimin may not be the best choice for her since she warned us she gets very easily annoyed with songs that have repetitive lyrics. I personally love it.🥰 I would recommend Serendipity Live from Japan or Like Crazy.💜
@@christinafreeburn1888 omg, it’s true. I love it so much that I sometimes forget that is not the best one to introduce people to his talent
I'm happy that you said "More" for Hobi. 🎉
Glad you you loved it… Taylor did an amazing job…
I wanted to go back to the criticism of jimin… that performance was an encore on recent music show… he was kind of sabotaged because he couldn’t hear his in ears at all… but sadly jimin has typically gottenmore hate and death threats than the other members… a lot of it from Taekook shippers and akgaes ( malicious solo stans)
💜💜💜
There is no way in the world we're going to be able to give you just one song from each member...RM and Suga alone have three solo *albums*, plus whatever solo songs they have in BTS albums. Trying to choose just one for each of them would break me.
I’m sure many have commented that we armies don’t mind long videos especially this guide. I’ve seen it over a thousand times watching reactors who are new to BTS. Just a couple of updates, BTS now has over 1000 awards. BigHit Music is now HYBE Corporation which was a almost bankrupted label when BTS debuted 10 years ago is now the richest label on South Korea with 9 labels as HYBE including 3 American music labels. BTS has been bringing in an average 4+ billion dollars to the Korean economy and 51% of K-pop market is BTS and 49% is every one else in K-pop. They are unique compared to 99% of K-pop and this is that Bang PD (founder and chairman of BigHit/HYBE) told them from the beginning of their training to write the music from their own personal experiences. RM and Suga were already writing songs prior to auditions at BigHit. I know I’ve written more than a couple of updates but what I’ve written is just a fraction of their achievements. Thanks for your reaction.
And Hybe keeps growing as a couple of days ago it was announced their arrival to Mexico to attend the Latin American market, and they will be looking for regional artists too.
😭our world stars life tempting voice handsome princes precious kind everything love so much😌👑🌎💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTS PAVED THE WAY! Gracias 💜
Is this RM?😂
@@Butter77fly OMG JAJAJAJAJA, un RM que secretamente habla español 😂
@@runchranda.8541You never know, he's a genius afterall😊
Thanks! Enjoyed this so much. Your observations were well spoken and insightful. These 7 young men are amazing, not only for their talents, but also for their kindness, humility and dedication to each other. 3 of them are currently fulfilling their mandatory military service (Jin, J-Hope and Suga). The other 4 will follow soon. Their promise to ARMY and each other is to come back together in 2025. Counting down the days. Somehow they get inside your heart and never let go. I hope you are able to enjoy some of the suggestions made by ARMY's below💜💜
1:00:42 here is what you gotta know: bts gets hate for breathing, o have never saw a celebrity getting so much vile attaxks as bts does. Everyday people try to get them into scandals, defame them, create fake dating scandals. RM likes to post in ig stories songs he listens to, he posted Bad Religion, and haters accused him of islamophobia...it get so vile it was ridiculous, but ofcourse there were other kpop idols who posted same song before, and even been to concert and filmed this song, and everyone were praising them for "good taste". To get you into perspective, JK was hated on for eating apple on livestream.
Haters even sided with naz/i groups to destroy bts reputation. Haters accused them of chart manipulation that their agency went to court etc. one time TV news channel sent aomeone to break into their agency building to get some inside info. And soany other things.
Yoongi (Suga) is an Official Ambassador for the NBA.😁 He is an excellent basketball player as well.
Jimin has very unique voice ❤
He is very good dancer & singer .
I would also highly recommend you watch the ARMY made documentary series “The Rise Of Bangtan” (22 episodes) as it explains the backstory & history of not just BTS career but also about the whole K-Pop Industry since the early 90’s, Boracity video essay YT channel is also legendary as she informs you of a lot of things you didn’t know that the industry are up to and her videos are just amazing.
It is also a song but yes they were the first Kpop group to show behind the scene's and to have their own show because of the way they couldn't get onto show's and when they did they were extremely badly treated so Bang PD was so cross he didn't want the boys one of whom was still a minor to have to face mistreated. So he suggested they do their own shows, so that's how RUN BTS started. Now other groups do the same thing. BTS had to find other ways as most Kpop ways/means were denied them but the Kpop Industry. So they used TH-cam and each member was able to have their own twitter account which is not controlled by the company. This is also something that was did not happen within the Kpop industry until much later.
Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others...
Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust.
The members were only 13-18 years old when they became trainees and 15-20 yo when they debuted.
In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. ....
Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 (Year and age became trainee)
Jin 1992 - 20 yo (2011 - 18yo)
Suga 1993- 20 yo (2011 - 17yo) Suga started with MIDI at 11
JHope 1994 - 19 yo (2011 - 17yo)JHope started dancing at 8
RM 1994 - 18 yo (2010 - 15yo) RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13
Jimin 1995 - 17 yo (2012 - 16yo)
V 1995 - 17 yo (2011 - 15yo)
JK 1997 - 15 yo (2011 - 13yo) JK signed with big hit at 13yo
Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age.
The Korean Government has recently (June28) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age.
💜Have a great day
59:47 it was because his in-ears didn't work. and its really important for singers to have the in-ears so that they can only hear their sounds and not the echo of their sounds since they are performing in big stages. cz the sound travels slower and when it gets echoed, it reaches the artist' ears a few second after they sing. so its hard to not be flustered while ur in-ears gets fcked up. people knew this but still just wanted to hate on him cz he is BTS.
RUN BTS is their variety show but they also just before they started leaving for military service put out a song called Run BTS so now it is both.
Aww BTS has changed & enriched my life. Love them so much! ARMY ❤❤❤
You had so much great commentary! Loved all you had to say about the meaning of hip-hop and not relating to music with meaningless or shallow lyrics. You're gonna love BTS's discography since it's 90% songs with a message. For reacting to solo music, I'd recommend a song from each of their solo albums released over the past year and a half. They're a good look at their current personal styles and tastes as soloists, even though some of it can vary quite a bit from their solo music within BTS's discography (previously they all have at least 3 solo songs each on various BTS albums). I'd go with:
RM - Wildflower
Jin - The Astronaut
Suga - Hageum or Amygdala (Hageum is aggressive rap and super cinematic MV whereas Amygdala is an intensely emotional mental health song and MV represents some of his past trauma)
J-hope - More
Jimin - Like Crazy
V - Slow Dancing
JK - Standing Next to You
Welcome to ARMY! And don't let anyone give you shit for being a multi. Anyone with an issue with multis needs to sit down and color.
I am a quite new Army and these are my personal favorites so far:
Jin: Epiphany (BTS), Yours (Solo artist for Ost), the Astronaut (With Coldplay in Buenos Aires).
V: Sweet Night (BTS/OST), Pied Piper (His live performance with BTS), Inner Child (BTS), Heaven (Le Jazz de V).
RM: Wild flower (Solo artist with lady singer).
Jimin: Crystal Snow (his solo part with BTS), Idol (his dancing).
JK: Standing Next to you (Solo artist)
Now I need to learn more about Suga and J Hope.
The lady singer on RM's Wildflower is Youjeen the lead singer of the Korean Rock Band Cherry Filter.
@@eileencritchley4630thank you, I am a beginner!
There so projects are tons and their project got mature as they grew up. So you cannot really tell how are they in thwir solo by just listening to one project. BTS is 10 yr old so you can imagine their growth as a group and as an individual artists.
Thank you for reacting to Taylor's guide... we are all looking forward to her Chapter 2 update once the members are out of the military and back together in 2025!! You have a ton of content to keep us busy until then !! Really enjoyed your reaction - you will gain a lot of Army subs because we know when reactors are genuine. 💜
Rappers in K-pop groups have a bit of a stereotype/reputation for being named a rapper in the group because they can't sing. Yoongi actually references it in a couple of his solo works under the name of Agust D, Suga backwards plus DT for Daegu Town. Haters ignored the fact that all three BTS rappers have been into Hip Hop since they were kids. RM and Suga as underground rappers and J-Hope as a street dancer. Also, Yoongi is known for the rawness and honesty of his lyrics. He has more than one song that make people cry and if he raps or sings about something in one of his solo works, even if no one has ever heard anything about that situation before, we know that it really happened. His song, Amygdala, covers some major trauma from his past, some of which ARMY never knew about, but we knew that it was true. ARMY likes to say that RM raps from the mind, J-Hope raps from the heart, and Suga raps from his soul. Their individual projects definitely reflect that.
I'm so proud of Bangtan 😭😭 They truly worked so hard, they are all so talented and each one bring something different to the table and help each other. I've never understood the amount of hate they received because ?? why? they have done nothing wrong, they spread love and good messages, they are known for being humble and really good and kind people in and behind camera, so I don't get it. People say that armys are toxic but sadly EVERY community has toxic people, it's the minority but you know the fandom is huge and sadly haters and toxic people are the loudest. Army is also known for being a really nice community that has done a lot of charity and great projects. Anyways, BTS deserves all the amount of recognition and success they have now and we re proud of being armys because we know the guys are amazing and their discography is just so good and diverse.
Thank you for the reaction! 💜 if you like deep and personal lyrics you will love their music for sure. they have touch and saved millions of people with their messages and content including me. 💜
Hi, I would just like to thank you for going into the BTS journey in a very respectful way. I understand that you are mainly a fan of Stray Kids but I do appreciate you being respectful towards BTS' contribution to the history of Kpop worldwide. Really, thank you.
About the group's variety show "Run BTS", back in the beggining in 2013 BTS was from a very small company so they did not get invited to variety shows, or if they were invited they get cut out of the broadcasts for time. So BTS actually started the trend to produce extra content such as vlogs, behind the scenes videos and their own variety show as well as using a lot of social media as a way to engage fans. They had to do those things because their company back then had no media power. Since it worked so well for BTS Now it has become normal for many groups to create this kind of extra content.
Also "Run BTS" is both the name of a song and the name of the variety show.
If you enjoy meaningful lyrics than you'll really enjoy BTS. Their discography is full of really meaningful lyrics written by them.
Yes that is impressive they sell out the biggest stadiums in the world within an hour of the tickets going on sale. I've been very lucky I saw them on the second night at Wembley Stadium and yes I was singing to BTS with everyone else.
Of course that BTS paved the way and not just in western world with the music but they were first kpop group who started their own variety show, showing behind the scenes and using social media to connecting with ARMY even topics in their music now come from BTS so....
When I hear all that bs from kpopies, please they are just haters and don't want to admit that BTS are the pionieers and PAVED THE WAY for their groups.
Yess don't worry You are true about BTS paved the way...army always support BTS
Yes...... They are so talented and kindest people ever I know❤❤❤❤❤
The dude giving RM and Suga attitude in that interview ended up going to prison while RM and Suga are breaking records. Solo song suggestions: RM-Joke and Wild Flower, J-hope-Arson and More, Suga aka Agust D- Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala( trilogy). Jimin-Set me free and Lie, Jin- Epiphany (live). V- Inner child and singularity, Jungkook- Euphoria and My time. Rap line -Tear, Ddaeng and 1-4 Cyphers. BTS have a song called Run and a song called Run BTS but their variety show is called Run BTS and it is hilarious and you get to see their true personalities, so it’s definitely worth watching. 💜💜
Love your reactions to this wonderful guide. Solo songs:
RM Wildflower, Suga Daechwita, JHope More, Jin Epiphany (Live version), Jimin Set Me Free Pt.2, V Singularity & JK My Time 💜
Run BTS is their Variety Show, and also a song. Not to be confused with their other song just called Run. You’ll find that they like to reuse names. For example on their debut album there is a song called We Are Bulletproof part 2. (Part one is a pre debut song) but on their Map of the Soul 7 album they have a song called We Are Bulletproof The Eternal. They have a song called Airplane part 2, but Airplane part 1 is on J Hope’s mix tape. Jimin has a solo called Set Me Free part 2, Set Me Free part 1 is an Agust D solo etc.
I think their journey is really inspiring, that's their trick to make us fall for them.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💯
BTS BIGGEST GROUP in the world 💜
6:15 as someone who has listened to kpop since the 90s. Nah, this is true. BTS paved the way. Before BTS, it was SO friggin hard for me to get kpop music in the US but now I can just go to my nearby Target and get albums in a few minutes. It's crazy. Anyone who disagrees is just a hater and I understand because people get so emotionally attached to their specific kpop group. But no. It's just factual that BTS made and is continuing to make a huge impact for kpop and asians in the media/music industry in general.
I don't know much about Stray Kids, so I'm sorry if I'm completely wrong, but my impression of them is that they are sort of following in BTS' footsteps, in a good way (not trying to say that they are trying to be BTS or anything, just that they are in a sense following the path of growth BTS walked). After BTS became successful, a lot of kpop companies started to try to get their groups as big as BTS and they were all focusing on the wrong things and trying to do an overnight success, completely missing that what made BTS popular among other things was that they were doing things differently than most kpop groups at the time. They didn't sing songs that were just given to them, they told their own stories and shared meaningful messages with fans and didn't try to pretend they were perfect all the time. They broke the mold of the perfect but also completely unrelatable and untouchable idol persona that was being pushed by kpop companies at the time. And it seems to me like Stray Kids have a lot of the same values as BTS.
I saw the video where Bang Chan (was it?) talked about BTS and I thought it was really cool of him, because BTS weren't always treated well in the industry and there are idols that will bend over backwards not to say BTS' name. So having an idol openly appreciating what BTS did, was a breath of fresh air. Honestly, big respect to Bang Chan.
For fun short videos watch Jimin vs chairs and JK avoiding speech’s vs Namjoon JHope was a mentor for trainees who became &team. He always told them to stay humble. RM, Suga and jHope where often told they were to ugly to be idols when they first started out. No matter who you are they always try to treat everyone with respect. Even body guards who have worked with them in the US have commented how kind they are. To ARMY they are our beloved chaotic crackhead goofy humble kings. I see a lot of chaos with Bang Chan and his 7 kids as well. 💜💜💜
BTS received hate throughout their journey, being from such a small company and surpassing groups from the Big 3 KPop company's and other fandoms disrespecting their journey and progress they always stayed strong with ARMY. I enjoy Stray Kids too, but as ARMY for the past two years; they are my go-to on the daily. Enjoy your journey with them too, there's ten years of content, so good luck!!
Army is desperate for JK to rap more but if a member is out for any reason, including the Rap Line, he usually covers for them if it’s needed
hi !! new subscriber here !! 💜
first of all thank you so much for the reaction, and dont worry, army will go through your whole videos even if they are long, we love good reactions !!
and second I LOOOOVED your reaction when hearing about the backlash because SAME ughhh, thankfully that guy got what he deserved
As of the recommendations, I am sure to say that Bangtan is the most diverse group with a HUUUUGE range, so to really know them is gonna take a little while but you are in for a veeery nice ride 💜
So you can get a little grasp of their range I would suggest:
- All for "Cyphers" so you can get to know the rapline a little and their evolution (lyric videos and live performance)
- "The truth untold" by the vocal line so you can get to know them a little, and also "Your eyes tell" which is a group song but the vocals are just chefs kiss! (lyric videos and live performances)
- "Run BTS" and "Black Swan" so you can get to see a little of their dance (lyric videos and live performance)
As of solos:
RM: "Joke" from his first mixtape, "Wildflower" from his first ever full lenght album released last year, this song makes me feel so many emotions i cant even put them into words, its just one of those songs that you can literally feel them under your skin.
JIN: "Epiphany" where he showcases his amazing vocals and range, and of course, "The astronaut" feat coldplay made for army before enlisting *cries*, in the mv he basically represents saying a "see you soon" and there are some interpretations that the little girl in it represents both bts and army from jin's pov... *cries again*.
SUGA: "The Last" that is personally one of my favorite songs of him, you just gett to understand him better and you get to admire him so so much more and "AGUSTD" from his first mixtape, "People" from his second mixtape and "Amygdala" from his first lenght album also released last year.
JHOPE: So you can see both sides, vocals and rap, I would suggest "MAMA" his solo for one of BTS albums, the live performance gives me CHILLSSS with the whole choir and everything, and of course "MORE", a completely different side of him from his first lenght album released last year.
JIMIN: I would definitely say "Serendipity" and "Filter" are a MUST, but also "Set me Free" and "Love Letter" that is a song made for army *cries once again* from his first ever solo project and full lenght album are immaculate!
V: Definitely "Stigma" because he really goes crazy showcasing his range with both low and high notes ughhh! and "Slow Dancing" from his first full lenght solo album which represents his jazzy and soulful self very very well.
Jungkook: I am a sucker for "My you" a song made for army with beautiful lyricism and vocals, literally makes me wanna cry every time, and "Standing next to you" from his first ever solo album that actually just dropped !
Thank you again for your amazing reaction, I am really looking forward to your future videos !!
Sending you so much love!!! xx

OMG I love your reaction & am so excited for you to get into more BTS! Run BTS is their variety show but they also have a song called Run BTS that they released in 2022! As for solo songs I really recommend reacting to older ones first and working your way up to the recent ones to see their evolution, but no matter which way you’ll do it you’ll be introduced to amazing songs!! Here are some older solo tracks that I recommend you to react to:
Rm- Intro: Persona and Seoul
Jin - Epiphany and Moon
Suga- Interlude: Shadow and Daechwita (I recommend watching Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala in order since they’re a trilogy)
JHope- Outro: Ego and Daydream
Jimin- Serendipity and Lie (& yes Promise is also amazing)
V- Singularity and Winter Bear
Jungkook- My Time and Euphoria 💜💜💜
As for newer songs I recommend
RM- Wild Flower or Yun
Jin- The Astronaut
Suga- Amygdala or Snooze
Jhope- More or Equal Sign
Jimin- Set me free pt. 2 or Like Crazy
V- Slow dancing or Love me again
Jungkook- 3D or Standing Next to You 🔥🔥

Oh no girl, they are political. Unlike other groups, their mandate from their label from the beginning was to speak with their authentic voices and tell their authentic stories. They were songwriting right from the beginning (even before they signed with Big Hit in the case of RM and Suga.) And they had some stuff to say, let me tell you. Their first debut song was a commentary on the S Korean education system and what it does to young people. They have songs about socio-economic issues, songs about equality, songs about hate as a societal ill, songs about capitalism and what it's done to younger generations, songs about mental health issues, and much more. Namjoon even has a song about voting. They care about everyone, all over the world, not just Asians, because they know their fans are everywhere. They are a social movement as much as a musical group.
11:33
They have been horribly mistreated in general. Being from a broke and tiny company, and being as prodigiously talented as they are, they were largely shut out of the industry by the larger companies as being a threat to their own groups, and as being upstarts who didn't know they place. Their chance to debut only came because a show needed a filler for a cancellation. BTS was always fighting for scraps. This is why they created their own shows. They were rarely invited on other variety shows, and when they were, they were often mistreated. I tell you what, it's damned uncomfortable to watch some of those early shows and watch grown adult hosts bully these teenagers because the large labels control their show/network/careers and told them to crush BTS. BTS adopted the Crow Tit/Baepsae, a tiny bird from a Korean idiom about knowing your place, as a sort of mascot, mentioning it in multiple songs and also having a song called Baepsae/Silver Spoon. They speak and fight for the underdogs, because that was them too. Other artists in KPop also did not associate with them or mistreated them, taking guidance from their peers and their labels. BTS have said that for years they didn't even feel like they had been invited to the award shows they attended (where they were winning purely based on numbers) because of how the other artists treated them. They also didn't have any connections in the industry or at their label to other groups or artists to mentor or support them or introduce them to an audience. This caused them to lean on one another more. Most of their industry friends even now come from indie music in S Korea or the West, though since Big Hit reformed as Hybe last year and swallowed up a bunch of smaller labels, that is starting to change as they get to know other artists now under Hybe. They also vlogged and blogged because their label was broke and had very little money for advertising, so it was a free way to try to reach an audience. No one else in KPop was doing that. In fact, most KPop artists had their internet access strictly controlled. BTS was the opposite, completely unfiltered and filming and uploading whatever and whenever they wanted. They were completely their unfiltered selves. Consequently, they reached an international audience form the beginning and those fans helped them start winning and selling in the numbers that kept them going. Their story really is very unique. There are a ton of things that have become standard in the industry now because they are copying BTS. There are a number of videos about how BTS Paved The Way which can expand on that more. xCeleste, bby Gang Mag and Boracity Magazine have good ones.

Yeah baby...teenage genius underground rapper Runch Randa was such a menace that grown men were afraid to rap battle him, because he was destroying them and it was embarrassing. When Big Hit was looking for rappers and heard about him and called him in for an audition, they signed him immediately and knew that he would be the centerpiece of a group that they would build around him, so they made him the leader.

Solo Songs.....there are a lot. They have been doing solo work from the very beginning and have 11 solo albums among the members, plus a number of solo songs on BTS albums, plus other singles, collabs, OSTs and covers. They have 20 albums as BTS.
Just the solo albums listed below, which leaves out a LOT of amazing solo songs from other places like BTS albums and singles, etc.
Like: Serendipity, Stigma, Singularity, Still with You, Epiphany, Seesaw, Lie, First Love, Reflection, MAMA, Begin, My Time, Boy Meets Evil, Awake, Just Dance, Snow Flower, Christmas Love, Christmas Tree, Euphoria, Filter, Inner Child, Sweet Night, Change, Moon, Yours, Outro: Ego, Interlude Shadow, Intro: Persona, Winter Bear, Scenery, and many more...... I'm sure others will give you some recommendations for one solo song from each member, but one song doesn't really give you an accurate read on a member, because even individually they have incredible range and diversity of styles, as you can see from the two examples in the intro from RM, Joke (from RM mixtape) and Seoul (from Mono) are vastly different.

Yes, Suga is a big basketball fan. He played basketball in school, as a Shooting Guard, and he is now a Global NBA Ambassador. He even has a genius song that uses basketball sounds as percussion (Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life.)
24:00
They were called sellouts, they were called weak, girls, fake rappers, etc. All of it was jealousy really. Some of the guys in that very show where they were hating on them in the intro tried out for labels themselves and failed. BTS rapline remain some of the best rappers in the world, let alone in S Korea. Suga/Agust D's recent solo world tour was the most lucrative and largest shows and tour for a rapper in the history of the world. And the whole show was stunningly orchestrated art. j-hope sold out his headline show at Lollapalooza in 2022 and broke their attendance record by more than double, with 105,000 people at his show. RM has collabs with some of the biggest and most legendary names in the West and the East, including artists who rarely collab with anyone, because he is so well respected. All three of them are the only Korean rappers ever to be in top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, as soloists, not as BTS, though they have done that too. They are artists. Period.
Also - your rant is giving me life. You would love RMs song "Do You" because that is exactly what it is about.
31:46
You aint seen nothing yet for raw lyrics. He goes deep and gets very real. BTS hides nothing really. Once they had to cancel a stadium show in Japan because Suga had a massive panic attack. He flew back to the venue alone to reflect on the pain he caused ARMY and then wrote a long open letter to us about the whole thing and was so vulnerable and raw in it. He has songs where he talks about self harm, about his fears and disappointments, about his challenges and failings, about not getting enough love as a child, about his traumas. At his last show of his tour, he sobbed uncontrollably through the whole last set and asked ARMY to help him if his voice failed. His whole tour show and his album series are a cathartic journey in very public self-healing and the last show was a gorgeous display of love and trust and coming full circle. Yoongi is amazing. Also he is amazing on the piano, in case you missed that in the intro (a lot of people do because they don't actually show the piano.)

Nothing to add on j-hope's part but just gotta say, that's my man! I'm a j-hope bias. Where JK is the Golden Maknae, Hobi is the Golden Hyung. He's so incredible.
41:22
Jin was going viral among muggles, who didn't even know who BTS was or any of their names.
45:40
Jin is so embarrassed that Super Tuna blew up when it was just a cute little inside joke for ARMY. LOL But we unironically love him for his dorkiness.
47:00
Jungkook looked up all the agencies who had made offers to him and he saw videos of RM rapping and fell head over heels. The guys all lived together from 2010-2011 til 2022. When they moved out of their first place and were able to have multiple rooms for the 7 of them, instead of crammed in one room, RM and JK were roommates for years and years. The other groupings were Jin and Suga in a room and j-hope in a room with V and Jimin (the snuggle squad - they are all the most demonstrably physically affectionate ones.)
54:10
Some of the younger members were hidden pre-debut because Big Hit was worried about them getting sniped by bigger agencies. But more than that, the majority of the members (RM, Suga, j-hope and Jimin) did not fit the very ridiculous and unreal beauty standards for an idol group. So much so that they were called "The Ugly Idol Group" when they first debuted. Ridiculous of course, as they are all objectively gorgeous. JK was cute, but literally still a baby at just 13 when he moved into the dorm apartment and just 15 when they debuted. Only Jin and V really fit the standard, and V was also super performance inclined, having been learning on his own for years. As an attractive and talented member with cartoonish good looks, and since Big Hit was broke, they hid him as an advertising tactic, to help build buzz around the group at debut. It worked as intended, but it was hard on him having to hide in all their early videos pre-debut and being left out of fan mail, etc. Now they are having an impact on changing beauty standards in S Korea for idols just by existing as themselves. Ironically, when they started to break in the west, critics would say they must have had a bunch of plastic surgery to be so beautiful.

Jimin has an astounding voice. He is a rare Counter Tenor. But, you know, haters gonna hate.
BTS has always taken a LOOOOOT of hate. From the industry because they came up not just outside of the industry, but against the industry that was trying to actively crush them while BTS spread a message of love and self-acceptance and honesty and prizing the voices of the artists above the labels, and hate from the underground where RM and Suga started, and from jealous other fanbases and crazy solo stans, and the media because they are all connected to the large labels, etc. The hate campaigns, sabotage attempts, bullying, snubs, death threats and on and on are never ending. They have developed thick skins and they credit ARMY over and over with defending them and keeping them going. There is a reason that ARMY has a rep for being protective. We've had to be. Look for some of the BTS hardships videos to see some of what they have been though. It's been nuts, right from the beginning. BTS says it's not that ARMY exists because of BTS but that BTS exists because of ARMY. Our relationship with them is one of mutual love and reciprocity. Oh, and this is crazy, but antis and akgaes will also actually cosplay as ARMY online just to behave badly and make the fandom look bad/crazy. Every fandom has it's lunatic fringe and in one this size that's just a larger number statistically, but in general ARMY is the best fanbase in the world. We are all loving, accepting, hilarious weirdos like BTS. Our best response to such tactics is to drown them out with love, and that is what we try to do, towards BTS and just in general. Because you cannot change those people's behaviors, they will still do what they do.
As Namjoon said in his song Do You, which I use as a mantra in my daily life "Haters gonna hate and Playas gonna play, Mothafuckas keep mothafuckin' all day."
1:03:50
Is this song good enough to react to!?
LOL
Not to sound like a biased fan, but they don't have any songs that are not good. They are all amazing, and very diverse. I mean it. Objectively they are all good, some are astoundingly good. I have a diverse musical taste, so I love all of it. And yes, Promise is a beautiful song. There is also a hidden track (tracks they hide on physical albums only as gifts/special messages to fans) on his recent solo album called Letter/Dear Army which he did a special live performance of for Festa which you might want to check out.
Festa is their annual celebration of their Debut anniversary (6/13/2013) and BTS usually releases special music and does special performances and does a dinner livestream and other things, and ARMY does a lot of things back in return, like special events, displays and ads, a fan made song, etc. This past summer for their 10th anniversary, Seoul turned purple. There was a huge firework display, a bunch of iconic locations were lit up in purple, many businesses and restaurants and hotels and other places had special events happening for two weeks, millions of people came into the country to celebrate, and S Korea put BTS on their stamps (a first for a living artist) and BTS was not even there. Members were mostly in the military or busy, some of them out of the country. They did pre-record a bunch of content for us, including a new fan song, as usual, called Take Two, and a half million people gathered in one park for a picnic celebration with just Namjoon.
Welcome to ARMY!
Borahae!

Since this video was uploaded, All of the boys have achieved a lot of success as a group and as a soloist, specially Jungkook. He was the first and only kpop artist to perform at the World Cup Opening ceremony last year, that is also how I discovered BTS. Please react to his Euphoria's live performance from Osaka Japan! 💜💜
oh you like nf! im a huge nf fan and when i discovered bts, i noticed yoongi had a huge style similar to him. really recommend you check out agust ds first album, the last & so far away are very close to that nf original style
About the underground rappers, think of their perspective with the idea that idol rappers (and especially in 2013) were looked down on by the underground group for having no substance. bts immediately disproved that for them with their first album. i guess some of the rappers in this video thought going to be an idol takes away your ability and title as a rapper.
Welcome to the rabbit hole of BTS. 💜💜💜 hard to give recommendations.
Thanks for your reaction to this. I apologise for this very long comment but I hope you fnd it helpful.
I like Stray Kids - one of the few Kpop bands who I do like. I don't follow them but keep an open eye. They are great dancers (perhaps the best I've seen). I also like that they write a lot of their own music. You may not know just how much Stray Kids like and respect BTS. But they do. And BTS knows and respects their work too. I agree with you that ALL kpop artists are talented and hard working but I would like so see them all writing more of their own music and all having a distinct voice and message. SKs do have their own voice (thank you Felix 😉 - though there are others!) and message which I like
So far no one matches BTS' achievements. No one was trying to hit the west before BTS - but BTS had to, because Korean media, under the influence of the Big 3, more or less blocked them. Now, other bands are also trying to make it in the west, but BTS paved the way, even though many Kop bands (such as Black Pink) refuse to admit that. In contrast, BTS have always spoken with respect for other bands, and they themselves have wondered why they made it so big when others, who work just as hard, remained less successful. BTW Got7 are good friends - Jackson is clearly in love with RM - though admittedly that man would flirt with a rock.
BTS have always been outspoken on social issues of many kinds. In fact their whole musical content is based on this, not only for Asians, but in support of people of all races and kinds. One of the main reasons I don't follow Kpop in general is that the messages are often/commonly anodyne and superficial. BTS' songs and MVs are often intellectually challenging - to put it mildly. There are whole-ass 'explained by a Korean' videos. Those are grrrrrrrrreat! However, no matter how dark the message the songs leave you comforted. Unfailingly positive (but no toxic positivity).
RM and Suga were both 13 when they joined the underground rap scene. JK was 13 when he left home to join BTS as a trainee. Jimin was in dance battles at 13 or so, and JHope winning that national competition at 14 years. They all start young. Except for Jin 😂who never even thought of singing or dance until he was recruited at I think 18. He did well to learn it all from scratch so fast.
RM prefers RM to Rap Monster too! He now wants RM to be thought of as "Real Me", because it is.
You'll find that BTS' members solos with BTS will differ from their individual solo songs. They are both valid and honest, but focus on different aspects. RM is deeply sensitive and poetic, Suga very open and pretty blunt, JHope is in his own way fierce. Even as a rapper he is a dancer - if you see him when he is producing, he uses his whole body.
A lot of the backlash was envy. BTS showed potential to make real money (though at that point they were still relatively small) There was also (wilful) ignorance - you note they say 'you're not even writing your own songs, how is that hip hop?' - but both Suga and RM always wrote the songs. Yes, that is where it is going. This rapper (B-Free) later apologised several times (no doubt hoping to make money) and was ignored. He went to jail for assault, recently got out. A lot of his stuff is still slagging off BTS - not sure if he has anything else to say, so he would be nowhere without them! Love your fury with him! ... but he was not their only critic on those issues - and they are all wrong!
Suga does not now have the MH issues he had. BTS have always been very frank about their struggles and about getting therapy (with the support of the company and Bang Si Hyuk) 0 this is also ground-breaking in Kpop and more companies are now offering their artists MH support. Jin's song "Abyss" is the best description of the experience of depression I have ever heard in music in my 68 years on this planet and he told us very openly and honestly about how he came to write it despite his fear that he was not good enough.
Jin is an introvert. I think he is also very private without being secretive. He just doesn't think he is interesting. He invented WWH to cope with his own embarrassment: there's a clip of him getting called out 'You're SO HANDSOME' and politely acknowledging it, then hiding his face in the shoulder of a manager.
JK didn't know RM personally but he must have seen some of his rap somewhere. He joined only a year after RM so it may have been an audition tape or some underground stuff. JK's song Begin is brilliant: simple honest and open. He no longer raps with BTS - he does enough to be honest! He lives to sing. He sings when he comes off stage because he has not had enough. On his Vlives he has been known to do a 4 hour concert for ARMYs - in his pyjamas. We don't object 😉 He's also done his laundry, and fallen fast asleep naked. We don't mind that either. 😁 Are we sad little ARMYs? not so you'd notice.
Remember that BTS all sing and dance live. JK and the others train hard, and JK has a habit of singing while running hard. I read recently that it is getting less common for Kpop bands to sing live and dance - that will be a shame.
V had a 'support' role in Hwarang but did great. He filmed it WHILE BTS were on an international tour, during breaks between concerts. He'd land, and while the others could rest, he'd go to the film site, get into costume and go for it. He had no acting experience, so at first felt completely lost because of course nothing is filmed in sequence. He confessed this to Park Seo Joon and PSJ helped him get his focus in. He would talk to him before a scene, explain where it was and what the character was feeling. He himself said he had no idea how V coped with the pressure of touring and filming at the same time. They are now well know friends with other Hwarang cast members and actors, and have done a few different series together, such as Wooga in the Soop (Wooga Squad is how they refer to themselves) as well as Jinnie's Kitchen - a series where Korean actors set up a Korean restaurant abroad and cook and serve ordinary people and tourists. Some people recognised V and the others were so chuffed for him!
BTS always gets a lot of hate. Probably always will. Some of it is co-ordinated by other fanbases, and there is evidence that Big 3 companies are also sometimes behind it. There need be no reason for the hate - any excuse.
Jimin was at one time incredibly sensitive. He never sang before he came to training only about 10 months before debut, and BH had at the time no funds to pay for lessons for him: he tagged along with Jin and JK and in the evenings they tried to help him copy what he had seen. He learned fast, and now should not be worried at all. He regularly drops the jaws of other Idol groups! btw ALL BTS songs are good enough to react to.
Some of BTS songs are not what they seem - they might appear poppy and happy, but the real message can be one of self-sacrifice (Anpanman) or financial hopelessness (Gogo). Jimin's Butterfly is a lyrical song of gentle beauty, but it is about a fear that a friend may harm themselves. Sometimes us westerners need to learn about the context and background because a simple translation won;t cut it - fan made explanation videos are invaluable! Good translations help, but sometimes you need more. I use www.doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com because the translations are excellent but she also includes brief notes on wordplay (often play between Korean and English), rhyming, cultural references and inspiration.
Whalien52? True story of a whale which swims the oceans, calling for others, but his call is at a frequency no other whale can hear. 134340 is speaks of those feelings that Pluto had when it was downgraded from a planet to a dwarf planet, not even in our solar system but in the Kuiper belt! Whole ass series of albums on Jung's psychological theories. Songs about needing to live a life before you can create original art...
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Army IS a LOT of fucking people! 💜 I think official figures are a huge under-estimate, because there are many who are not in the official fan club (I'm not, and nor are most of my ARMY pals). I think official figures are at 45 million or so. I suspect we could be double that.
So - to summarise stuff to think about : RUN BTS (the song); Anpanman and Gogo, Suga's work as AgustD, and Dear my Friend (in his recent tour, he couldn't hold back his tears while singing this)L the rappers - the Cyphers, Jin's Moon and Abyss, Jimin's Butterfly and Serendipity ; V's Blue and Grey and ; JK's Begin and Euphoria ; Jhope's More and Arson, RM's Persona and Do You; the Vocal line's Dimple and Pied Piper.
Wherever possible look at live performance and put on Eng Subs if present - if not, try to look at Doolset first!
I hope this drop in the ocean of BTS' over 300 songs helps. Enjoy yourself!
Borahae 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love this comment! 💜
Suga (aka Agust D) is the ambassador for the NBA (National Basketball Association)
Thank you so much for checking out BTS! They are amazing humans. And the team is so well balanced. Each member brings something unique to the team and they are hard workers. 💜
I would highly suggest you boracity magzine videos..one of which is "how BTS paved the way, and why it's hard to accept" also "trends BTS has created in k-pop" by her! I absolutely loved your authentic reaction and would look forward to more BTS, thank you 😊 and welcome to the family baby ARMY 🫂💜
Edit: 28:52 girl..after that rant..you need to watch "BTS hardships and struggle 2019-20" by xcelest asap! No cuz the sh*t they hv went through and still go through..i tell you! And the fact that that vid doesn't even scratch even the surface of the iceberg..but you NEED to watch it!
27:38 fun fact. That dude that called them "girls for wearing making" is called BFree. The same day that Suga was the highest 1st korean musician listened on spotify released with his 2nd mixtape, was the same day that Bfree went to jail. If I'm not mistaking I think was because he punched someone and also had allegations of being violent to his gf....karma is a bitch
12:32 BTS has a song from 2016 called 'Run' they also have a 2022 song called 'Run BTS' and they have a variety show that started in 2015 called 'Run BTS' 😅 It can be a bit confusing for people new to BTS.
Korean title for both the show and 2022 song is 달려라 방탄 directly translates to Run Bulletproof.
BTS is short for 방탄소년단/Bangtan Sonyeondan which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts so 방탄 Bangtan (Bulletproof) is also what BTS is called.
I had to subscribe cause I love BTS and I agree with every word you say . Sugar , RM and J Hope can out rap them . I love all BTS and am a 70 + women and love their music 💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you for your reactions😊🎉
Thank you for your reaction! You are such a real person, I loved what you said about RM and Suga getting hate! You go girl!!
About the hate Jimin got: I saw it. What happened that day was that Jimin won a award and he couldn't believe, he was in shock. Out of nowhere his song started to play and he was so confused he missed the bit. People started to judge him for it. BTS sound AMAZING live and they work for it, always singuing live. Jimin didn't know he had to sing AGAIN that day, so people sending hate are people without hearts.
I was about not to write a comment but I LOVED YOUR HIP HOP RANT THANK YOU! Imma continue to binge watch your videos, so far I liked all of them ^.^
BTS is the god of kpop... They estimated over 7 billion dolars to South Korean economy
Blood sweat and tears is going to melt your mind if you like stories and purpose in a song, and BTS is notorious for double/triple entendres 😉🔥👍🏻
This is the first time I watch a reaction by someone from another fandom, and it was so refreshing! I loved to hear your thoughts and thank you for ranting over Bfree trying to diss BTS, it was very satisfying 😆💜
I would totally recommend you this songs. They are not main tracks and aren't as popular as some songs but I think that they are really hidden gems.
RM- All day
Jin- Moon
Yoongi- Amygdala
Hobi- Ego
Jimin- Like crazy/ Filter
Taehyung- Singularity
Jungkook- Still with you
New subscriber here for more BTS and BTS members. I have nothing against other KPop groups of idols. BTS just occupies so much of my time that I don’t have time to invest in other groups at this time: Basically, I’m in the “obsessed” stage of craziness for BTS. 😂😂😂 I saw you reacted to the title track off of JK’s debut album. That makes me happy. He’s gotten a lot of backlash from uppity people for not writing the songs on his album even from some Army, which is unfortunate. I’m not sure how they expect a non-English speaker to write and sing an all-English album. He wants to break through the glass ceiling Western society and music has in place for Asian acts. I applaud him for taking on such a huge challenge and succeeding. You know antis, fandoms that like to be antis and solos, are going to use anything against BTS or it’s members but not from your own fan base. It’s been hard to watch. He is literally making history for solo Asian artist. Just as BTS did for groups. He has bravely done songs using themes not normally done by conservative nations (I’ll be honest, I wish his first two singles didn’t include the rappers and a couple of lines they said, but they do and I will support him and his career decisions). He also has a full sleeve and many piercings which are frowned upon in his culture. So I think he will go down in history for being a groundbreaker in S Korean history. For these reasons I bought multiple copies of his album to give to my non-KPop and non-JK family as an investment.
I hope you react to all members and go down the BTS rabbit hole. It is partly because of them that you have gotten to know about Stray Kids. :)
As far as Jimin’s performance, I didn’t see it because it upset me so much what people were saying. I don’t know what happened, BUT he is an amazing singer and dancer. I do know that there are times that singers get in situations where they can’t hear themselves for whatever reason. This will make them sing off key and I can’t even imagine how frustrating it is. It can happen to the VERY BEST singers. I assumed that is what happened to Jimin. If you have 1 poor performance out of THOUSANDS of amazing one? Then you are an amazing singer, period. And Jimin is an amazing singer.
RM - Joke
Jin - Epiphany
Agust D (Suga) - Interlude Shadow
J-hope - Arson
Jimin - Like Crazy
V - Singularity
Jungkook - Begin
Oh hey! Interlude: Shadow! This somehow became underrated. I mean his trilogy is amazing, but Shadow is such a different kind of masterpiece! Also Seesaw! Tho it doesn’t have an MV it’s really one of the solo favorites. The you really tell the difference of his sound as SUGA and as AgustD.
