I tried to comment this on another one of your reactions, but my phone died, so I don't know if it got posted... You've mentioned that you find their songs inspiring you as you're overcoming some health challenges. I don't know if you've heard/seen Hwasa's LMM (losing my mind), which is very emotional, but ends with words on the screen "flowers bloom even in the pouring rain." And Wheein has a song called Here I Am, which includes lyrics about stepping out into the sun, and a refrain that includes "...as I, I ride upon the storms." They are such brilliant artists. I'm going to see Hwasa in concert in March and I am beyond excited. I adore them.

I'm so thrilled to see you covering Mamamoo! They're probably my favorite group- not just kpop, either! I don't know if you've seen Hwasa's song LMM (it goes along with Maria, which has a very different vibe, but both about getting through tough times). It's absolutely gorgeous, and the cinematography is stunning. The mv opens with the words "flowers bloom even in the pouring rain."

Моя любимая ассоциация - горячий шоколад с зефирками. ☺️ "Winter Ahead" для меня пронизана одиночеством и чувством ещё не сбывшейся мечты. Именно ещё не сбывшейся, так как ты веришь, что когда-нибудь она станет явью и предвкушаешь этот момент, рисуя в голове тёплые образы. На следующий день после выхода песни я вышла на вечернюю прогулку и слушала её на репите несколько часов подряд. Шёл снег, было довольно прохладно и слегка ветрено, привычная городская суета и огни вокруг, а я просто шла и улыбалась сама не знаю чему - такое умиротворение на меня снизошло. Голоса V и Пак Хё Шина замечательно сочетаются, а мелодия такая приятная, что не хочется переключаться. Клип же очень в духе Тэ! Интрига на протяжении всего действия и ошеломляющая кульминация! И опять, вариантов интерпретации может быть множество, начиная с очевидного и заканчивая построением глубоких теорий. Думаю, ты уже видела парочку основных из них. 🙂 Эмоциональная игра Тэхёна так хороша, что вызывает во мне желание заплакать даже в тот момент, когда я смотрю закулисные съёмки и точно знаю, что он играет! Этот взгляд, полный осознания и принятия, разбивает мне сердце каждый раз. 🥺💔

Полностью согласна с тобой, Lory. 💜 Джин создал поистине удивительный альбом, каждая песня в котором цепляет по-своему. Как мне кажется, это самый долгожданный альбом 2024 - и он не только оправдал все ожидания, но и превысил их! Мне было настолько любопытно, в каком же музыкальном направлении пойдёт Джин, что я буквально не спала всю ночь перед выходом альбома в волнительном предвкушении. По какой-то причине, я не ожидала встретить рок-звезду Джина, так что для меня это был ещё один приятный сюрприз. И да, название "Happy" в совершенстве отражает содержимое альбома! Нет ни одной песни, которая оставила бы меня равнодушной. Уровень и направленность эмоций различаются, да, но положительных гораздо больше. Хотя "счастье" звучало для меня немного иронично в тот момент, когда я слушала последнюю песню альбома ещё без перевода и не могла понять, почему я плачу, а прочитав перевод заплакала ещё сильнее, поняв причину, - Джин мастерски передаёт эмоции! 🥲😌 Мой абсолютный фаворит: "Another level" - эта песня на 100% в моём вкусе! И я была настолько не готова услышать что-то подобное, что, вероятно, была в шоке всё то время, что песня длилась (слишком мало, поддерживаю!😆). Опять же, сперва она запала мне в сердце музыкально, а потом я прочла лирику и моя любовь выросла до необъятных размеров! Джин говорил, что писал эту песню с позиции геймера, но, думается мне, интерпретаций может быть гораааздо больше. "I'll be there" дарит мне прилив радости и энергии с ноткой сентиментальности (ах этот бридж!). "Running Wild" всё ещё вызывается смешанные эмоции грусти и воодушевления одновременно, но за всем этим - невероятно красивая песня с вокальной и лирической точки зрения. "Falling" мне нравится гитарными партиями и самим голосом Джина, у него тут какие-то особенные интонации - наслаждаюсь каждый раз! ☺️ "Heart on the Window" с первого же прослушивания напомнил мне опенинг к романтичному аниме и теперь я не могу отделаться от этой мысли. Вокал Джина здесь раскрывается с разных сторон, я обожаю его голос в каждой части этой песни! Венди, как мне кажется, помогает ему раскрыться. Этот дуэт чудесно сочетается друг с другом, я, пожалуй, без раздумий могу поставить его на один уровень с дуэтом Чимина и Софии Карсон. И да, вживую их гармонии звучат божественно! (Думаю, ты уже точно всё видела и слышала, я "слегка" запоздала😅). Ну а про "I will come to you" я сказала в самом начале своего длинного опуса: эта песня бьёт прямо в сердце. Какое потрясающее коварство: оставить нам только наполненный эмоциями голос Джина и пианино! Как они могли! И лирикой сверху добили, чтоб наверняка. 😭🤭 В общем, такие вот у меня первые впечатления, до сих пор помню, хотя далеко не вчера было)) Borahae, Lory! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

"Running Wild" вызвала у меня мурашки при первом прослушивании/просмотре, и вина видеоряда здесь немалая! Не знаю, как бы я себя чувствовала, если бы Джин решил не добавлять последнюю сцену в кинотеатре (спасибо ему, что так заботится о нашем душевном комфорте!) Сама песня такая красивая! Сначала она показалась мне очень грустной, но спустя некоторое время она стала воодушевляющей даже: вот бы и правда научиться жить моментом, на полную катушку, без боязни за будущее и без оглядки на прошлое. Мне кажется, именно Джин умеет наслаждаться настоящим как никто другой. Можем мы просто поговорить о тех низких нотах, которые он здесь спел?! Я влюблена в них, в эти конкретные низы и вкрадчивый тон! Верхние ноты, безусловно, прекрасны, Джин берёт их так чисто и без видимых усилий, что нам остаётся только восхищаться его таланту и усердной работе над собой и своими навыками. Лайв-бэнд Юнги плавно кочует от Чимина к Джину и с каждым проделывает потрясающую работу! Челлендж от Джина просто уморительный! 😂 Для Хоби он вылился в другой: "Попытайся не заржать в голос", я подспудно ждала, когда же он не сможет больше сдерживать смех))) Но Хоби молодец, продержался на последних волевых до конца! 😂 Джин же, видимо, решил оторваться за все годы танцевальных практик, когда они с Хоби местами поменялись - с таааким возмущением и удовольствием замечания делал! 🤭

Я в некоторой степени слегка одержима этой песней. 😅 Она звучит в моём плейлисте почти так же часто, как Jimin's "Who" и Jin's album. Из всех последних (относительно) релизов "Stray kids" "Giant" - мой любимый, а сразу после - "Mountains". 😌 И это удивительно, потому что, как ты верно заметила, Lory, здесь присутствуют поистине странные звуки, которые в любом другом случае я не назвала бы привлекательными, но тут всё настолько хорошо гармонизированно! Музыка, вокал, рэп - захватывающее сочетание. Особенно меня впечатляет партия Хёнджина (и боже мой, как ему идут эти образы и хореография!🙈), мощный припев в исполнении Банчана и японская лирика от Феликса, о, ещё выражения лица Lee Know - просто вау! 🤭

Thank you for your reaction. I agree with you that Mamamoo is awesome group whose singing is diva quality. The second generation girl groups also had groups that set the standard for their style of group. Girls Generation was a large group (9 members) which had great singers and marvelous choreography. 2NE1, which is one of influences on Mamamoo, was a small group of 4 and had great vocals. They developed the girl crush style. Both groups were instrumental in bringing KPOP to world tours and to the USA. Suggest listening to expand understanding of KPOP' evolution.

The story in the MV has different explanations. My favorite version is: He lost the woman he loved in a car accident. He incarnates himself as a phoenix to resurrect her and succeeds in bringing her back to life, but loses his life in return. In the afterlife, the woman appears before the man and the two are then reunited with eternal love.

CHILLS over chills, everytime I watch this MV and the performance MV. No matter how many times, my goosbumps get goosebumps, in a way only Taemin can do! And yes, the production of this MV is totally of another level. Some fun facts; The producer was japanese Yuka Otsuki, who also composed the song together with Knata Okajima, and with no other than the Swedish songwriter and producer Andreas Oberg, who has collaborated with multible top notch kpop artist, included SHINee, and also Taemin's "DOOR". If you haven't you, MUST check up his MAMA performance for it. There is no MV, but his performance is really something else. He has done it many times with that choreography, but the MAMA I think is best because of the stage settings. And a little spoiler, in case you wonder...the idea of the choreography that way was his own.

Then leader of mamamoo and leader of BTS same brain.. Solar say happy new year in August 2020 and RM say happy new year in August 2021.. 😂😂

Hilarious and really this video is about 10% of all the videos of their extreme comedy and insanity. Another way to get to know each of them is their youtube channels. They do content that is well beyond singing and dance. Vlogs especially. Solar has by far the most because she started her channel like 3 years before the others, just watching Solar do mukbang or tell the horror stories, the tour of the war museum or getting a new house all of that tells who she is. Moonbyul and Wheein have content as well. Hwasa has the least on her channel, she is much harder to learn about. the MMMTV episodes are also great to get to know them. Hwasa TV hosting, Moonbyul did a radio show Studio Moon Night is good, especially when she interviews the other members. To really get to know them, the Documentary that goes with the Where are We now song, but be prepared, you will cry often if you watch that.

If you start with another group... Red Velvet. Thier M/V concepts are dark and often creepy, even with the upbeat songs. Thier Killing Voice will give you some incite to their talent.

When Solar laughs hard she sound like a Dolphin... You never know when she is being Ditzy or just trying to make her members laugh(break the tension/change the mood). She does both... notice the pause before "Happy New Year", and then she starts to laugh before the others.

For the scene where they take off running down the stairs, it's from a show where several acts gather at a karaoke club. If someone plays their song, they go to the room and surprise the customers and sing with them.

I love that you're doing reactions for fan edits, there are a LOT. Mamamoo are just the most entertaining girl group. There's only one group that's kinda similar in this way, and that's Girls Generation, they are crazy as well. When I have a bad day, Solar's dolphin laugh alone is enough to cheer me up.😂 They are crazy when they are alone, but when they are together, no one on this planet can hold them back. The Korean media wrote an article about them not long ago saying I hope they will come back soon, because Variety shows need Mamamoo, and I couldn't agree more. You don't need a script or anything, just let them do their thing. 4:40 - Hwasa kissed all of her members, btw. 😂 Others already mentioned this, but the MAMAMOO TV is a must, not every episode, but there are a lot of good ones. Also, their own Variety contents like: Tipsy Lives, Three Meals with MMM, Moomoo Trip, MAMAMOO x GFriend Showtime, One Lucky Day are my faves, and Hwasa's I Live Alone episode are amazing as well. Now you know why Koreans started calling them beagle-dols lol. If you ever need something to cheer you up and lighten your mood a dose of moo juice is guaranteed to cure what ails you and chase the blues away. You might want to see the full version of the clips of them in the car on their way home from an event (Wheein yelling VITA! VITA!, etc). That's from an episode of MMM-TV called How Mamamoo Plays in the Car. It's an all time classic. 🤣

At that point they were really rookies, it was just their second album so that live performance was that good with them being babies! They also won the prize rookie of the year at that show with that performance. Also, as you could notice, Wheein was pretty playful at stage at that time, she was kind of girl crush concept and was a lot more noticed at first until 'You're the best' era. At that time she got some issues since she was misintierpreted by kcitizens. After that, she began to struggle a lot with anxiety and those kind of feelings, wich lead in her being more reserved and her introverted part intensified after that (I know there are better words to explain this but since English it's not my first language, the words don't come as neat as I would like 😅). So Mamamoo girls started to be more protective around her and she became the Wheepup we know now 😂 But I'm still sad since those times kind of mess up her confidence, she even didn't want to appear so much at Queendom because of social anxiety, so her parts were shorter than the others and stuff. I'm happy now that she's in a better mental place and time after time she became again more confident, a lot because of the girls. That explains also some of the songs she sings as a soloist, such as Water color, 25 or Here I am, showing she's now finding herself again, and we can see that specially with so much love she put in her solo tour. I still kinda feel like the shadows of that anxiety are still there so I hope she can truly get ride of that because she's as awesome as each one of them in their own way. Pd: also back then she used to do vocal runs similar to the ones that Hwasa usually does, in Piano Man we can see an example of that when she sings 'Hey baby', the same as in Ahh Hoop when she sings "Ain't got time for this' I always thought it was Hwasa 😂

Definitely one of my favorites, the 2021 piano version especially. I have no idea who the piano player is, I just know I want to be that guy, who wouldnt want to play their bodies like a piano man, since they are being so risqué in this song lol. In the live stream concert in 2021 they reprised the MV a but with a bar scene on stage that was great. I dont think that was ever released as a video, I have it because I saw the live stream when it happened. Finding other groups is tough after mamamoo. Honestly none of the male groups do it for me. Besides mamamoo being so unreal, they would have to be up there with Prince, which isnt really going to happen. For the female groups, the few I like have a tie to mamamoo. I like BOA, though I was a fan of hers before mamamoo even existed, but the tie to mamamoo is Solar fangirls BoA like I fanboy Solar. (Solar also has a lot of prince on her playlist), I like Purple Kiss but this is mamamoo's sister group RBW started and the mamamoo members had some influence there. Camping with moonbyul, Solar giving advice you can also see them as trainees singing mamamoo songs. Le Sserafim as well, though my first experience was actually them live at Blizzcon but chaewon did do a duet with Moonbyul at a mamamoo concert before le sserafim started. Dreamcatcher is the only other one I like because much if their music is Rock and mamamoo doesnt do much rock and no tie to mamamoo that I know of. These groups you will probably like. But Mamamoo has another 400 videos to react too, could be a while before you get to a nother group.
