There are much more than these, as regards 1975 but then it takes too long to put in here. It has been almost 50yrs back, and now I grew old, but when I play these songs, I turn 13 yrs in my heart again, but for sure not in my look -- all I have are just memories and nothing else !!😊

Then you most likely caught the Eagles on their “One Of These Night” album tour. I was in the 7th grade of high school when “Hotel California” came out. It was a potheads’ song, but I toked reefer too. I remember 1975 as the year we middle-grade students had KC And The Sunshine Band, the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, you name them. ABC, CBS, and NBC were the only TV channels available back then; unless you threw in PBS. This is one of the countless reasons why I chose music rather than television while I was growing up. It’s a long way, to the top, if you want to rock and roll. 😁👨🏻🦳🇺🇸🎸🎵🎹🥁🎶🇺🇸

I thought it was an awesome track, and it gained much airtime on Montgomery’s (Ala.) only rock station at that time, WLSQ-AM 950. The other track was “Missing You”. My boyfriend and I graduated in 1975.We started going together at age 16 and married at 22. We were the same age!! Wow!!! Those were the best times of our lives! We had 2 daughters. My beloved husband passed away at age 47. I never remarried and he was the love 💕 of my life. Had 2 beautiful grandchildren. Sweet granddaughter age 9 and sweet grandson age 3. I still cry at times and miss my husband sooo much! We had wonderful and great times together!! I remember all those songs!💖💕

1958 here. Graduated from HS in 1976. It’s hard to describe how awesome those years were. Words can’t tell the tale. You had to experience those years so that you have that feeling still in your soul.
The year I graduated. Boy those were the days. Some of the most fun times I had back then. Not a care in the world, just cruising up and down Main Street on a Friday and Saturday night with the old 8 track blasting chasing the girls. WOW Wee what great fun. Couldn’t have better. Sure miss those days.
Aerosmith Sweet Emotion, ZZ Top Tush, Bachman Turner Overdrive Feel Like Making Love, War Lowrider, The Doobie Brothers Black Water, Ozark Mountain Daredevils Jackie Blue... and so very many more. We didn't understand how incredibly blessed we were to be alive and hearing all of these as brand new music. It really was a magical time in history. That old saying "They don't make them like this anymore" was seemingly written to apply to 70s music. 50+ years later and people are still grooving and discovering this fantastic decade of music
My wife and I married in January 1975. Endless wonderful songs from country and pop. I could not pick a top 10 because of so many great songs. Wonderful year, wish we could go back there.
Captain and Tennile were a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic and I have lovely happy memories of a teen summer with that blasting out of summer radios. But looking back Bowie was way ahead of the curve looking like something out of the 80s or 90s or even 2000s and present day. Always loved Bowie. I think the Eagles also stand the test of time too.
The seventies was quite possibly the best decade in history! So many good memories. Good times and great music. I’m sure Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings and Turner should be on this list!
I turned 17 in '75. Fell in love for the first time and had my heart broken the first time. These songs were all a part of that time in my memories. Met my wife of 47 years the next year.
The 70st was the best decade for every genre,pop,country,but ( what was then called Heavy Metal) was at it's peak, middle of the road ballads,it couldn't then and still can't be topped.

Here's a fun fact for ya, look on the credits of Pink Floyd's album The Wall and you'll see no other than Toni Tennille listed as a backup singer, and yes, it's her not just someone with the same name, if you watch the credits at the end of the movie she's listed in those also. Here's a funny story she told in an interview; David Gilmore made sure she had a couple tickets for one of the LA concerts, while in her seat waiting for the show to start she noticed a 15 year old boy in a seat in front of her kept turning around and looking at her, finally he ask her "What are YOU doing here?", as if it was ruining his teenager rock n roll rebel experience having "Mrs Squeaky Clean Love Will Keep Us Together" sitting behind him during his Pink Floyd concert. She answered him with "Well young man, if you look at the credits on the album you'll see that I sang on it". The kid had come with another 15 year old who was busy in the wings trying to get back stage with an album he had hoping to get the members of Pink Floyd to sign it but no matter how hard he begged security wouldn't let him back there, while still trying a very excited friend of his came running up to him explaining "You're never gonna believe who's sitting right behind us and...". Upon hearing the story they opened the album and looked at the credits and sure enough, written right there in front of them was the name Toni Tennille. They couldn't have got to their seats any faster complete with album and pen in hand asking her to sign it for them, making them even to this day the only people in the world to have a Pink Floyd The Wall album signed by Toni Tennille.

I saw Olivia Newton John before she was really famous. She played at the Allentown fair in PA. She sang country music then and was the opening act for Charlie Rich. I was a fan from that point on.

It’s hard to compare any other song to One Of These Nights by the Eagles! It’s a forever classic. In soul music I would say “The Way Of The World” was equally unbeatable! In fact in my opinion that Earth Wind & Fire song is even more timeless and hauntingly - emotionally powerful. Chills!!! Good chills. Maybe with a tear welling up knowing the suffering of blacks in slavery and even Elvis’s song “In The Ghetto” of 1970’s Chicago.

Aerosmith Sweet Emotion, ZZ Top Tush, Bachman Turner Overdrive Feel Like Making Love, War Lowrider, The Doobie Brothers Black Water, Ozark Mountain Daredevils Jackie Blue... and so very many more. We didn't understand how incredibly blessed we were to be alive and hearing all of these as brand new music. It really was a magical time in history. That old saying "They don't make them like this anymore" was seemingly written to apply to 70s music. 50+ years later and people are still grooving and discovering this fantastic decade of music

My wife and I married in January 1975. Endless wonderful songs from country and pop. I could not pick a top 10 because of so many great songs. Wonderful year, wish we could go back there.

Captain and Tennile were a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic and I have lovely happy memories of a teen summer with that blasting out of summer radios. But looking back Bowie was way ahead of the curve looking like something out of the 80s or 90s or even 2000s and present day. Always loved Bowie. I think the Eagles also stand the test of time too.
The seventies was quite possibly the best decade in history! So many good memories. Good times and great music. I’m sure Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings and Turner should be on this list!

I turned 17 in '75. Fell in love for the first time and had my heart broken the first time. These songs were all a part of that time in my memories. Met my wife of 47 years the next year.
The 70st was the best decade for every genre,pop,country,but ( what was then called Heavy Metal) was at it's peak, middle of the road ballads,it couldn't then and still can't be topped.

Two of my favorite songs of 1975 were "Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac and "Lyin' Eyes" by The Eagles.

Here's a fun fact for ya, look on the credits of Pink Floyd's album The Wall and you'll see no other than Toni Tennille listed as a backup singer, and yes, it's her not just someone with the same name, if you watch the credits at the end of the movie she's listed in those also.
Here's a funny story she told in an interview;
David Gilmore made sure she had a couple tickets for one of the LA concerts, while in her seat waiting for the show to start she noticed a 15 year old boy in a seat in front of her kept turning around and looking at her, finally he ask her "What are YOU doing here?", as if it was ruining his teenager rock n roll rebel experience having "Mrs Squeaky Clean Love Will Keep Us Together" sitting behind him during his Pink Floyd concert.
She answered him with "Well young man, if you look at the credits on the album you'll see that I sang on it".
The kid had come with another 15 year old who was busy in the wings trying to get back stage with an album he had hoping to get the members of Pink Floyd to sign it but no matter how hard he begged security wouldn't let him back there, while still trying a very excited friend of his came running up to him explaining "You're never gonna believe who's sitting right behind us and...".
Upon hearing the story they opened the album and looked at the credits and sure enough, written right there in front of them was the name Toni Tennille.
They couldn't have got to their seats any faster complete with album and pen in hand asking her to sign it for them, making them even to this day the only people in the world to have a Pink Floyd The Wall album signed by Toni Tennille.

I'm not in love by 10 cc, Dream weaver by Gary Wright and Le Sud by Nino Ferrer are my top tree favourites for 1975.
I was a dj in wales Uk in 1975 and then songs bring back so many memories now at the age of 67 living in Australia I feel privileged to have had the experience memories and honour to have presented many of these songs to so many
I remember those days. It was a time when fans of soul music had a favorite country/country/country rock song, and fans of country/rock/country rock had a favorite soul song.

Exactly... there wasn't the level of cultural divide. And there were people like John Denver who just had a kind of charm everybody could dig. Granted... I was 6, but I remember all but 2 of these.

I saw Olivia Newton John before she was really famous. She played at the Allentown fair in PA. She sang country music then and was the opening act for Charlie Rich. I was a fan from that point on.

I remember hearing The Hustle for the first time, during the 1975 NBA championship game between the Golden State Warriors and the Washington Bullets.
I graduated in 1975 from Jordan high school in long beach, I remember all these songs, what a time it was, not like today.😢

It’s hard to compare any other song to One Of These Nights by the Eagles! It’s a forever classic. In soul music I would say “The Way Of The World” was equally unbeatable! In fact in my opinion that Earth Wind & Fire song is even more timeless and hauntingly - emotionally powerful. Chills!!! Good chills. Maybe with a tear welling up knowing the suffering of blacks in slavery and even Elvis’s song “In The Ghetto” of 1970’s Chicago.
