Swimming Dragon Qigong | Strength, Mobility, Flexibility, Energy & Vitality | Dao Yoga & Chi Kung

  • The new and improved edition of Swimming Dragon Qigong! Improve strength, mobility, flexibility, balance, energy, and vitality with this Chi Kung & Dao Yoga routine. The "swimming dragon" is a Daoist metaphor for the movement of energy up the spine, typically coming from the "pearl" (Dan Tian) clutched by the "dragon". On a more practical note, this set of exercises is great for releasing stiffness and pain from the back, neck, hips, and spine.

    I prefer this version over the first one: Concise, hits the important spine exercises, and narration done afterwards so that you focused on the exercises

    Just when I needed a new Nick routine, I stumble upon this one. Many of the movements are familiar but this one brings a welcome energy and an opportunity to enter a bit deeper. I'm so glad to add this to my morning repertoire.

    Could this be the most beautiful Qigong routine on You Tube? I really believe that it is....the scenery is so perfect (and as mentioned below there is a dragon head in the rocks behind), perfect length of time, challenging and invigorating routine to return to often for longevity. Not to mention simple, easy to follow instruction. Thank you so much Nick for your dedication and all that you do for the Qigong community....

    Once again, a great routine. Had Covid last week. A relatively mild case. I succeeded in doing some qigong everyday despite being sick. I attribute my quick recover to both my 3-year-long qigong practice and the fact that I was able to maintain a baseline during the illness. Thanks for great routines, Nick.

    Just discovered your channel recently and am really enjoying your videos... the timing feels right, not too rushed. I do have a question: when condensing / saving the chi to the lower dan tian I notice you only circle in one direction? Most reading I've done says to circle a number of times clockwise then a number of times counter-clockwise - is there a reason to only circle one direction?

    • @TheNickLoffree
      @TheNickLoffree  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, circling clockwise follows the flow of the larger intestine 😊

    Hi, guestion: is this a jin exercise? Two years ago I lost so much jin, up to zero, and found myself in a severe burn out. I practice Chi kung every day now, that helps me. But I must skip jang practices. Can you tell me about the swimming dragon and maybe advice other practices? Thank you very much. 🙌🏻
