The s24u has supposedly 7 years at least of life in it with the software updates, I have the 1TB version and it does everything I want it to, great photos, videos, battery life, media consumption and great gaming experience now that there's a version of winlator that support the Snapdragon 8Gen3, not that crappy playstore games, real decent games like Crysis trilogy, Halo Mastercheif Collection, Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake, Resident Evil 7, the s24u and even the s23u does it all, the beauty of android. Lets see how long it will last and perform
@Rash7 my "old" s23u that I use as a backup run those games to, but winlator is to demanding on the 8GB of ram version of the phone some random crashes here and there due to low ram, but overall is pretty stable, at least 12GB ram for the ultimate experience, I'll post a gameplay of those games soon enough here on TH-cam

The design doesn't bother me one bit. It is how the device performs that is everything to me. Especially the camera. I am so glad to hear that the Ultrawide lens and the 3x lens on the S25 Ultra will both get new 50Mp sensors, as both lenses are showing their age and are in need of replacement.
I personally liked the design of the s24 ultra, I love symmetry. It's a pretty handy, beautiful, not ordinary and cool phone. If someone can't hold the phone that's their problem.

I think we are getting too involved with "a signature" design aspect. The point of Ultra is everything is a bit extra. Ultra RAM, Ultra Camera, so on and so forth. I don't understand why comfort is at the bottom of the list. The fact is, a 6.9" rectangle isn't comfortable. Even if you have giant hands. So rounding up the corners make them comfortable. Companies should focus on making devices more convenient fo consumers first before giving priority to a less practical "signature look". As for "iPhone" look, they didn't change the design, since there was no need to. Rounded corners are indeed the best we can have in a slab device. It's more comfortable. I think you got the wrong idea with the Note 7. That is an extreme curvature. Think more like the iphone 15P compared to the 14. The 15 subtly rounded the edges on the back. Thats probably what Samsung is going for.
Don't worry, Samsung has confirmed that the battery drain issue is due to a software bug. Their engineers have identified the problem's source and have assured that it will be resolved with a software update. Be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming update.

16gb of RAM overkill? it is, if you dont use its full potential, im still on the S21 Ultra 16GB because of work, having Microsoft teams among other work related apps running in the background without closing them is critical for me, main reason why im still holding onto it, if Samsung is still on the "copying apple" trash with the S25 Ultra and doesnt deliver stuff like 16GB of RAM on it, im going OnePlus immediately after many years.

i honestly care more about how software is optimised forgot the name of the fold6 competition thats a better phone but it has a larger battery while still only having the same battery life as the fold 6
The Asus ROG phone has 24GB RAM. I don't think 16GB RAM is a big leap forward especially considering the S20 Ultra had 16GB RAM.

I think Samsung should keep its design that's what makes it Samsung, I used to love the Pixel but the Design of the Pixel 9 isn't a great thing because it kinda looks like an iPhone

Same story- autofocus issues, video will be better in iPhone, battery will be better in iphone, quality of zoom will be better in iPhone. Samsung should focus on working on their weaknesses instead of jumping to new features

Check the apps on your phone. A lot run in the background and drain your battery. Probably your issue here
16gb of RAM overkill? it is, if you dont use its full potential, im still on the S21 Ultra 16GB because of work, having Microsoft teams among other work related apps running in the background without closing them is critical for me, main reason why im still holding onto it, if Samsung is still on the "copying apple" trash with the S25 Ultra and doesnt deliver stuff like 16GB of RAM on it, im going OnePlus immediately after many years.
