Finance the phone for 2 years, and then enjoy the last 5 years without worrying about more payments. And if you decide that 4 years is enough, replace the battery and you could just give it to someone else and they'd still have 3 years of Security and OS updates

The s24u has supposedly 7 years at least of life in it with the software updates, I have the 1TB version and it does everything I want it to, great photos, videos, battery life, media consumption and great gaming experience now that there's a version of winlator that support the Snapdragon 8Gen3, not that crappy playstore games, real decent games like Crysis trilogy, Halo Mastercheif Collection, Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remake, Resident Evil 7, the s24u and even the s23u does it all, the beauty of android. In my opinion, the current design of the S23 and S24 Ultra is quite satisfactory and does not require significant changes.
However, I believe that Samsung should prioritize improving the Face Unlock feature rather than investing resources in satellite connectivity, which may not be a widely utilized feature and could potentially increase the cost of the device. By focusing on enhancing Face Unlock, Samsung can provide users with a more convenient and secure biometric authentication method.

I think we are getting too involved with "a signature" design aspect. The point of Ultra is everything is a bit extra. Ultra RAM, Ultra Camera, so on and so forth. I don't understand why comfort is at the bottom of the list. The fact is, a 6.9" rectangle isn't comfortable. Even if you have giant hands. So rounding up the corners make them comfortable. Companies should focus on making devices more convenient fo consumers first before giving priority to a less practical "signature look". As for "iPhone" look, they didn't change the design, since there was no need to. Rounded corners are indeed the best we can have in a slab device. It's more comfortable. "Innovation" just for the sake of innovation is often pointless. The priority should be user convenience.

Finally, I hate those boxy design.. if this happens, I'll definitely upgrade my s20+. TBH, I really don't know the reasoning behind "following iphone design trends". Really, I have been samsung s series fan boy since I made the upgrade from A9 to s9. Loved the design.. pre ordered the s10+ next year.. fabulous ( in my opinion, this was the best samsung phone ever made in last few years).. enjoyed that one so much that I didn't even think of upgrading to s20+.. waited for s21 series to come out.. but that's when samsung started cost cutting to the S- Series. Inferior displays to the s21.. Inferior chipsets for non-us and non-korean markets.. they even started flattening screens for God's sake. got a good deal for s20+ around sept 2021 and stayed there ever since.. considered upgrading to s23 ultra. But I really don't need an ULTRA tbh.

smaller bezels and slightly rounded corners will be good, the current battery is excellent and 45W charging is good enough, so Samsung need to save space rather than putting in a larger battery.

I think you got the wrong idea with the Note 7. That is an extreme curvature. Think more like the iphone 15P compared to the 14. The 15 subtly rounded the edges on the back. Thats probably what Samsung is going for.

Don't worry, Samsung has confirmed that the battery drain issue is due to a software bug. Their engineers have identified the problem's source and have assured that it will be resolved with a software update. Be sure to keep an eye out for the upcoming update.

i prefer the boxy design than any form of design.
infact, when i first get a note phone(galaxy note 8) i felt like this is how phone should be design whenever i hold any phone apart from a galaxy note i see the phone look and feel weird.when i change to galaxy s9 plus it take time before i adapt to the form factor

16gb of RAM overkill? it is, if you dont use its full potential, im still on the S21 Ultra 16GB because of work, having Microsoft teams among other work related apps running in the background without closing them is critical for me, main reason why im still holding onto it, if Samsung is still on the "copying apple" trash with the S25 Ultra and doesnt deliver stuff like 16GB of RAM on it, im going OnePlus immediately after many years.
