- Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be Samsung's next flagship smartphone and we have 10 new big updates about the phone that is shaping up to be a powerhouse, both in terms of hardware and software. Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be launched in January.

if only they didn't break Notification Channels that would be great. What a shame. On my phone I can disable certain Notification Channels straight from the notification. It even shows and blinks the current notification's channel name.

I'd most like to see a battery improvement, anything in that line, faster charging, bigger capacity, more cycles, anything. Car batteries are always improving on the latest models, so why are batteries on mobiles so stagnant?
Batteries aren't stagnant on mobiles. Chinese manufacurers increased capacity to 5400-5600 mAh, Apple also increased their battery capacity. This is not a mobile stagnation, it is a Samsung stagnation.
@@livolas Samsung isn't stagnant. It's about supply and demand. Bigger batteries isn't the answer, the future in battery improvement in smartphones is stack battery technology or graphene batteries. Samsung has researched into both new technologies and even if they have it mastered the market doesn't need it right now. Just like how storage space is limited to 1TB or how RAM doesn't exceed 16GB of RAM it's because right now there's no need for improvement. These companies are taking their time, we don't want another S7 debacle.
@@Young_Dab it is stagnant. It's the same phone with a new chip and 1 of the 4 cameras being changed every year since s21u. I didnt say a bigger battery, it can be denser. Ram and storage are different. Storage is mostly used on the cloud for high needs and ram is just plenty for what phones can do. A battery is something you need and you can't say a 2 day battery life is something that people wouldn't be able to use. The more, the better.
You're saying Samsung is stagnant compared to Apple while they're years ahead of Apple in charging speed. Seems like they've got the clear advantage in hardware over Apple they're trying to clear them in software now. @@livolas
I am trying to convince myself that S25 Ultra will still look bold despite having rounded corners.
But I am failing, and I can't convince myself anymore.
Planning to buy a S24 Ultra when the price drops further.
Both designs are good. Personally I never had any issues with the sharp corners since it does not even touch my palm with the way I hold my phone. But rounded is still a welcome upgrade.

I really don't understand the discussion about the corners... if it's now a little bit rounded or not, it basically is no difference. Let's focus on more important stuff... for example that apparently the S25 Ultra will still have only a 10 MP 3x Sensor! That is rather ridiculous, how am I supposed to hang a photo with 10 MP to my wall? Considering you don't want to see Pixels (ideally 300 dpi), it will be very small...

Putting aside how much of a bother it is. You are just not meant to change your phone every year. They support these things for 7 years now. Even if you do want a new phone after 3 years, tech just isn't moving fast enough to justify it. I got a Galaxy S21 and it's hard to find a phone that feels like an actual upgrade, because even though there's plenty of flagships with bigger battery and faster CPU, the S21 does everything I need it to do. That's not Samsung's fault. Only phones that look interesting to me currently are the foldables. But those are still a bit too experimental for my tastes.

The foldable feels like an update (from my device) but they are still expensive and I am not sure if they will last long.
Interesting. I was more excited for the s23u than s22u because as much as it didn't visually change, it had some pretty significant improvements otherwise. S24u was a snooze fest other then maybe the flat screen (I think we could've skipped s24u tbh) but me personally I am looking forward to rounded corners on the s25u. I'm on an iPhone 8 right now but am saving for a new Samsung and the square corners I was a bit iffy on. I would like to see some more major changes though. Better processor is kind of cool but mostly unnoticeable. Some new hardware features or major hardware improvements would be great
I personally hate samsung's decision on making the s25 ultra rounded corners make the display curve not the edges and if you want to make curve then make the sides curve just like old times imaging a ultra phone with curve display curve sides but boxy corners that's the best design for samsung ultra phone's and yeah just keep playing with the camera design shifting it here and there in the name of new design and innovation or whatever but don't ruin the boxy classic design man now that i looked at the screen protector of s25 line up i think s25 ultra looks just like a midrange samsung's a series or m series phone there are some samsung phone's that look like this boxy but with rounded corners 🫠 samsung should stick to the original design only or they need to hire a new guy who's designing the phone make a cool design just like how we see in concept videos in the old days samsung phones used to look so classy and different every year no matter the price segment every smartphone used to look different if it budget or flagship nowadays all phones look the same in the name of note series death i on the behalf of note series request to keep the boxy design and boxy corners and make the corners comfortable without making it round just like s23 ultra and other ultra they are not uncomfortable while holding in hand without case 😏
The flat screen of S24 was perfect.
The new quick panel design looks simple, and I like the versatility

The control centre from the previous leaks looked sightly better. It needs the date and time visible for better usability and a much cleaner look. And the animation speed on the recent leak was very fast to the point of feeling jittery. Hope this gets fixed!

Aside from those three differences, the two devices are pretty much the same. If the S25+ still lacks the anti-reflective display, I’d go for the Ultra.
If you want the 5x portraits and zoom capabilities, the anti reflective coating, better cooling system, S-Pen, bigger size, better design, bigger battery, Gorilla Glass Armour, Titanium frame and better main and ultrawide cameras then you should go for the Ultra.

Just got my s24 Ultra. 1st thing I fell in love with is the boxy screen and how it looks when scrolling through websites and watching YT videos. Hope they go back. My s22 looks weird to me now.

As someone who has the s24 ultra I can tell that having round corners is 10x better than having sharp corners, even with case my hand gets a mark after using the phone

Waiting for a bigger sensor since the s20! It's gonna be 5 years now and we are still stuck with that small sensor size and mediocre low light video quality.. In good light all cameras look good at this point. Low light is where we need improvements!
Yes the exynos chip sucks Qualcomm's snapdragon and other companies make better chips.
Depending on how the new S10 ultra cells with its new chipset will give an indication of what chipset will be used in the S25 ultra and other s models going into the future.
My s24 Ultra is great just waiting to see opinions if it is a good idea to upgrade to s25 as the trade in value was quite good going from s22 to s24.
The phone is still boxy but with slightly rounded corners, if anything it's a useful improvement. As a s23u user myself that always uses landscape mode I can confirm it

I thought they'd be dropping the S25. I always felt that it would be the right choice for samsung. The fe version was too similar. They could have made the fe smaller than the plus, and just sold the plus and ultra as flagships.

Samsung needs to bring their own video call app like facetime or google meet. Whenever I say call this person in google meet in audio then nothing happens. Iphone had been great with that as I usually call my mom while driving car and siri is very integrated with device where as google meet is shit. 😢 It would be handy if google meet can do that.

I liked the sharp corners it gives it a more premium look. The round corners look cheap and makes it look exactly like an iPhone.
But iphone is not cheap, so you dont make much sense. Sharp corners look cheap, cuz they are easier to make.

@@juanresendez2841 they are cheaper. Samsung always has some kind of promotions to keep the price down. Currently you can get the s24u with 512gb for around $1150. The iphone 15/16 pro max 512gb costs between $1400 and $2000 depending on the country. Ferrari is cooler and more expensive than lambo and they have rounded edges. Also car design has nothing to do with this, you don't hold a car in you palm, do you? It's like having a square steering wheel.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE ROUNDED CORNERS. Its shameful influencers made this a real issue when its so negligable. Now we are saddled with less screen real estate and a phone that from the front looks exactly like every other phone with flat sides. Bring back DJ KOH and fire whoever the hell keeps allowing samsung to further copy apple and its designs year after year.

Hey! Yeah, it's totally normal. Samsung sometimes rolls out updates a bit later depending on the region or carrier. Getting the September update in early October isn’t unusual-I've seen it happen before.

We don’t know for sure yet! Samsung’s fine print does mention some AI features will be paid starting in 2025, but it’d be pretty ridiculous for them to go through with it.

I think it's not fair to ditch the curved display and in this case I'm not gonna buy any Samsung phones so I think that Samsung should reconsider this and releases two versions of Galaxy note in 2026 the first one is Galaxy Note 26C which has curved display and the second one is Galaxy Note 26F which has flat display in this case all Samsung
I don't like how they made the smart select more strict with pinning things or screen shot. Like I used to use it to pin my card details, now I can't do that since most of the time it'll say can't pin or screen shot due to policy.😢

Samsung is good and 2nd most saleable mobile in the world but the most frustrated and annoying things is that from year 2011 if you purchased Rs. 46 lakhs per mobile handset...after 6 months your mobile will certain that 100% your and mobile will hang,battery will drain out quickly and heat problem when you put in charging.
I think the hardware peak of mobiles is done. Next will be built into our arms or something. Tech on the surface of our arms. 🤔

I read a headline today that Samsung's shares are going down and they had to apologize to their investors about not delivering on AI chips. Their profits are on a low, because the foundry division to struggling to produce good yields for Nvidia. I'm not expecting the s25 series to have an Exynos as well
