3 Weird But True Facts About THE SUPER MARIO BROS. MOVIE

- 3 weird but true facts about The Mario Movie. No. 1, the Bomber Bill was not supposed to react to Mario’s furry tail. This is because many people believed that the bullet was an inanimate object and it was supposed to work like an air missile. No. 2, it’s kinda weird that Peach had no problem sleeping all night on the balcony. She could’ve just returned to her castle and slept on a good bed like a normal princess instead of waiting for Mario to finish the training. And no. 3, Mario’s parents should have been worried about their 2 sons not returning home that night. The fact that they have disappeared for almost a week and the parents were so calm and relaxed is just unbelievable.

I have explanations for each one:
1. You can actually change the directions of the Bullet Bills/Banzai Bills(in 3D World)
2. Peach most likely wanted to see Mario finish the training course and didn’t know it would take him all night
3. There’s a possibility that time in the real world doesn’t pass by when Mario and Luigi were in the Mushroom Kingdom, so when they returned, it was like they never left
for 3, when mario and luigi left the real world it was night time, but when they got back, it was day. So they must left for more than a day
Edit: I think I just started world war 3 in the comments 💀💀
@@Myself_690 The sun was actually still rising when they got back, so they were probably gone for a few hours at best.
@@vanderquakSP the parents should still be worried because theyve gone for an hour
All of these explanations make perfect sense
@@Myself_690But they have a plumbing job, so one can assume they they assume that Mario and Luigi are working
I watched it with an Italian friend who said his family wouldn't be bothered. The real strange thing is that mario and Luigi didn't wash their hands before dinner
That's interesting. I'm 1/4 Italian (my mom is half Italian) and she would be worried sick. I thought Italians worried more about their kids..... I guess it depends
@@sleepybirdcitrine501 well, he speaks about his family very worryingly so I guess it changes between families.
@@haz2968and Mario is an adult in the movie right?
@@MiningDead yes?
Most italian family don't do that especially if they are from the South. If only for one night you don't call them or write to them , even though they know you are out with friends they start thinking of calling the police
I'm just surprised that Princess Peach didn't question Mario more, I mean she had never seen another human before.
She might have not known what to say since its her first time meeting a human and didn't wanna quiz him to much
@@sxmmy2124and also didn't know what to ask him since she's always known the logic of her world
1. Bullet, Bomber, and Banzai bills are a living creature like Bobombs.
2. Peach wanted to see Mario succeed no matter how long it took cuz she had faith in him.
3. I'm assuming time doesn't pass the same way in the mushroom kingdom and maybe it seemed like they were gone for only a few minutes...
4. These aren’t facts but this guy stating how he thinks things should’ve happened (also regardless it was 4 days in the Mushroom Kingdom not a week)
They absolutely were not gone for a few minutes. You can’t just fix a sewage flood in like 10 minutes. That could take *days* to fix, especially in a city like New York
Probably not few minutes but maybe just few hours
@@chrischen8456 it was at least half a week. Spike looked shocked to see Mario which indicates that the Bros went missing for a while
It probably lasted one night cause when they came back, it was dawn
Now that I think about it, Peach really wanted Mario to succeed. So she wanted to wait until Mario succeeded the training course, instead of saying, training’s over, I’m going to bed. Which kinda explains why she accidentally fell asleep an entire night in such an uncomfortable location. That’s true deification to helping somebody ngl 👏🏼
*dedication

Well she’s no normal Princess, and beside, leaving the balcony means complete and utter hopelessness, and I don’t think Peach is like that…
CORRECT 👌😂
Did you played the Games? She's always like that
@@CydeskI beg to differ dude cause Princess Peach is a heroin and she wanted Mario to succeed in her training course so that way Mario can join her in the adventure to rescue Luigi and save the world from Bowser and his minions
@@GerryJr-ni2etthe games outway the movie. Sorry but that’s just the truth, games are canon the movie really isn’t, though they did the movie splendidly and I love peach in it, because he does kinda act the way she would just her attitude at the beginning are different. But if you play any Mario game where you can be peach it’s basically the same she moves and jumps and has powers just like Mario
The third one could make sense that Mario Bros have their own apartment in Manhattan and just spent the night out at their parents place. So not seeing their kids for 2 weeks at a time could have been normal.
i dont like the movie its trash nintendo sucks
Disney is better but i like to je$$$king off looking at princess Peach pictures on my phone
@@Danel-34079uh
Peach was done in that way to show she's not just a princess to be saved. They gave her a little bit of a more modernized twist where she wasn't simply the damsel in distress like in the games.
Mario and Luigi are grown adults and I’m pretty sure they’re capable of living on their own and their parents thought it’s was just time.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking
They disappeared for an entire week with no sort of communication. The better explanation is that time works differently in the human world than the mushroom kingdom
@@themindgayer5367 Or that it’s Brooklyn.
@@Potato_1108 ???
I disappear with no word for weeks at a time and my dad doesn't say much. He's just happy whenever we do call.
I think Mario and Luigi’s family was like “oh they probably bought a house” 💀
They have the same family
They probably would've told them about it.

Peach showed interest in Mario the moment they met. Hes the first human she interacts with since she was a child so nah it makes sense
Peach could’ve accidentally fallen asleep
Yah, i think that too, the way she sleep is kinda similar to how i do, embarrassing!!🥲
No one said they were calm. They were actually really surprised when they came home with the super star
People show worry differently
Actually, in Italian families they don’t really mind if their children run off, as long as they are 12 or older or if one is 12 or older. After they return they ask: “what happend?” Just to make sure if they did something appropriate and leagal
Italians mafia parents be like
I am in an Italian family that is just false
😂
Well, Mario and Luigi are both adult guys, in fact Mario's father was chewing Mario up because he was chasing his dream of having his own plumbing company denying Luigi of the opportunity of just giving up and being employed by Spike and his crew.
If a kid goes away all the day you don't worry, if your adult son does you just think "Well, he found some gig/he's outside mulling about what I said/he's a grown up guy and does what he wants"
I really like how they didn’t go towards the “peach being kidnapped route” and here she actually acts like a sort of combative warrior
It would have still made sense. People seem to focus on the fact that Peach is a DID and not the the fact she is a powerful and capable ruler and thus it still makes logical sense that Peach gets kidnapped only by creatures more powerful than she is.
But yeah, nice touch
I feel like time flows differently in the mushroom kingdom and Brooklyn because in Brooklyn it was normal days and Mario and Luigi spend like a week in Brooklyn so I think time flows differently in these two dimensions
She waited at the balcony but waited so long that she fell asleep with no control
Yah, that what happened, she kinda look like me when i sleep, only i look a little worse UwU🥲
the bill blaster has feelings too u know :'c

Peach cares about Mario ❤

Are we also gonna ignore how they made Mario hate mushrooms

@@richcull1157 4 isn’t almost.

The first one could actually be a callback to an old feature where tanuki Mario could reverse the bullet bill by flicking his tail at it in multiple games
For me, the reason she waited for him on the balcony was that she was half expecting him to quit. This was a trial by fire, and if you couldn't complete it, what use would you have been to her? But Mario just wouldn't quit. He kept going. He rose to the occasion. That is what impressed Peach. He was dedicated enough to keep going in the face of the task and to learn the rules of the new world he found himself in. Even if he didn't exactly complete the course, she had seen enough to know it was his determination that would aid them.
I’m pretty sure Peach is eager to see Mario to finish the challenge with her own two eyes so badly that she just sleep in accident. And i supposed that she could’ve just ordered some guard Toads to keep an eye on Mario as she goes back to her bed and inform her when Mario finally nailed the challenge.
Maybe she wanted to see how he does but she was tired and accidentally fell asleep
Well actually Mario almost completed his training but Princess Peach was impressed that he was so close to finishing it so "A" for effort 🤷
She wanted to go to bed, but at the same time, there was just something about him she couldn’t take her eyes off of. ♥️ 😮
Gotta give her a medal for her patience & dedication. Even sleep finally overcame her she did not leave.
I did not know mario and luigis parents were so chill about there 2 sons gone for almost a W E E K 💀 Edit: if this comment get to 1K like I will move to antartica
My theory on that is that the time was alot faster in peaches world than brooklyn
Maybe they're just really confident that the bros are okay on their own.
If you stop and think about it logically. Those two sons are adults, they can buy themselves a house or rent an apartment.
@@Titanop116in the first part of the movie they used there life savings on the ad and i think they got some money but not enough for a house/apartment rental
@@angelgonzalez4784they could, but the movie shows they live at home. Mario's room is fully set up.
Italian families are a lot more likely to stick together than typical amurrican families.
honestly having the banzai bill react to mario was perfect, i like the idea of it actually being alive
I'm actually very relieved that Bower's obsession with Peach and her disgust of him blasted aside all the memes of Peach being his main squeeze
And absolutely emphasizing his immense and endless hatred of the Mario Brothers
To be fair, we don’t see Mario and Luigi’s parents again until after they saw them in the street fighting Bowser.
Maybe because Princess Peach don't want to miss the action that's why she slept on the balcony so that Mario can finish his training
but she was asleep
@@okianblue149Like I said before because Princess Peach doesn't want to miss the action when Mario finishes his training so that's why she slept on the balcony instead of her Royal bed
maybe she wanted a live-action version of a parkour fail compilation, if there's such a thing.
@@Tornado2409Dude it's a training course not a extreme training course
@@GerryJr-ni2et from what I've seen, he must be sh*t, then.
The family didn’t take much notice which is noteworthy. But Peach was likely just looking out for Mario and keeping him company. As for the Banzai Bill, while it did legitimately freak me out to see it emoting with its eyes (although that Spin Attack did make it personal), the Tanuki Suit’s tail attack is actually capable of redirecting Banzai Bills in 3D World, so it’s actually quite believable.
Peach won't lose hope that Mario will finish the Training, that's why she became the Princess
I'M FAMOUS
Also princess peach ain’t like every other princess she a bad ass queen
Although, it’s kinda weird she let Toad join in an instant, I mean Toad just kind of asked and she had no problem. She’s kinda jerky given that Mario had to do a days worth of training and Toad showed up and he gets the green light from Peach instantly. But hey, that’s called plot convenience.
@@Adan_Playz Peach isn't the one that wants to go to an Adventure, Mario did, Mario need to prepare before going but Toad have lived in the Mushroom Kingdom for a long time and he can go through The Obby with no problem, and if Toad gets in trouble, Peach will defend her and she let him in because she wants to be nice
@@Nubert12 Well we don’t exactly know if Toad has done the obby, and he has stubby legs, so it’d be really hard for him to have so much mobility, but hey that’s my opinion, also your other points are moderately valid 👍
@@Adan_Playz Remember the scene where Mario and Toad is trying to go to Peach's Castle? Well to go there you have to go through an Obby and Toad did it Successfully
Here is one. Charles martinet, voice acter to mario and luigi doesn't voice them in this movie, but voices someone else in their family
Ty
Mario's dad, and the Italian rando known as Giuseppe.
Number 3 probably has a pretty simple explanation as to why Mario and Luigi’s family never seemed to notice the fact that they were gone. The Mushroom Kingdom could be like that planet in Interstellar, where time goes by differently over there compared to Earth. One day on Earth could equal however long Mario was at the Mushroom Kingdom for.
Ain't no way peach stayed in the same spot for more than a day with how many times we've heard "The princess is in another castle"
Mario and Luigi are in their thirties or late twenties they should've a place of their own
Mid-twenties.
@@justsayori3046 you know their ages

Yeah, they get their own place at the end! In the mushroom kingdom, because they like it there apparently.
I know the Nick person already said this but they have a place in the Mushroom Kingdom.
@@imag-nonespaghet9337 you didn't have to credit me but thanks anyway
The family not caring is definitely strange. I first thought maybe time works differently in the Mushroom Kingdom and they were gone for only a couple of hours but they cleaned up the water problem so some time must have passed.
I mean mario and Luigi are both adults so they can take care of themselves
@@JessicaTheEm well yes but thats still concerning
Umm the parnets were asleep they left at nightxand ot back at dawn
Implying peach is anything close to a normal princess is hilarious
one thing that bothered me is that at the end of the movie, no one questioned Mario or Luigi in what the heck all that stuff was, like they didn's say: "What was that Monster you were fighting, why were you fighting it, what was that giant building and mushrooms that came out of nowhere, what were those creatures, who is that lady (Peach), how is that gorilla talking? And so on. But no, they just say "you saved us". Saved from what exactly?
There’s just something so extremely cursed about Mario without gloves on
What if time moves faster in the Mushroom world than in the human world? Like one week in the mushroom world would just be like a couple of hours in the human world. (Incase you already noticed or havent, I got his idea from monsters inc lmao)
Peach fell asleep because she got tired of being there for so long and didn’t leave because she wanted to watch him finish and the bullet bills are alove
On number 2 peach didn’t go to sleep on purpose she FELL ASLEEP while waiting for Mario
2. Well At least we know she LIKES him. Imagine THAT happening in a movie UNIRONICALLY in modern times! X)
Princess Peach looks so cute. When she was sleeping like that
Maybe Mario and Luigi leave home for days at a time quite frequently.
Quite an effortless video you’ve made here
Likey, the family either thought the Mario Bros were in their room room the whole night, or they thought Mario and Luigi would take a long time fixing Brooklyn's sewer problem.
For the 3rd one, it was only a day. They left one night, were back the next day by dawn
If 2-3 weeks have passed overnight, then maybe Peach has been missing as a baby for months, and now she's a grown adult.
@@Dairunt1
Only 4 days passed in the world of the Mushroom kingdom, another comment detailed that.
So it's more a ratio of 4 days per night than 2-3 weeks overnight.
Princess Peach is a tough cookie though. She's been tough since the cartoon, so i don't imagine sleeping on a balcony would bother her much. 😅
Love how they’re using AI to replicate Dunkey’s voice
Good Job!!!
(1) Well everything from the dark lands is alive even dead koopas and other bombs, besides, the bomberbill is a missile not a bullet (2) Princess Peach fell asleep on the balcony, she didn't decide to sleep there and besides, how would she know if Mario did finish the training if she was sleeping 😴 on her bed in her room. (3) Time might work differently in the mushroom kingdom.
I loved that part where princess peach was sleeping on the balcony she looked so peaceful
1) it’s alive 2) she’s feelin him 3) they’re Italians
This guy just explained the whole movie 💀
Well according to the Mario Wikipedia bullet Bill's actually are depicted as sentient beings with emotions in most of the games and they can also talk in the cartoon series
bro I don't even think their parents don't even care I literally feel bad for mario and lugi💀
Banzai bills, as well as bullet bills, actually are sentient. The RPG games actually depict some of them as being able to walk, and in Mario Party Advance, they even speak.
Yeah they are too calm for their 2 sons to be missing I've been wondering the same thing😂
They were asleep when they went missing and the sun was only risin when they got back
dude maybe for them its been a week but for theyre parents its been 3 minutes u never know :/
It's Thier not theyre by the way
I digress:
1. Bullet bill cry when you beat them in the paper marios, so I always asume they were living creatures.
2. Peach wanted to see mario passing the level, because thats how she was going to decide if he came alone with her or not. She just fall sleep of waiting.
3. Mario and Luigi are both adults with jobs. I don't think their parents would worry that much for that anymore. They most asume they were working. Or "working"
I personally can't blame Peach for sleeping out on the balcony. As long as it's not freezing outside, (which, judging by what she's wearing, it's probably not) spending the night under the stars seems pretty cool to me.
Dude they are grown men who made a plumbing business🗿
Bonzai bill
1. There are literally Bull’s Eye Bills that can follow you around, so that was probably one of those. I know they’re red in games, but the movie obviously wasn’t 100% faithful to the games.
2. Peach didn’t choose to fall asleep there, she simply passed out.
3. Days are probably very short in the Mushroom Kingdom
**intriged SpongeBob face** “You like Mario, don’t you, Peach?”
It’s not real life it’s just a movie 🎥
Good! ☆☆☆☆☆
Mario and Luigi are probably somewhere in their 30s in this movie and still living with their parents. They were probably grateful for the break.
For those wondering the music in the background is cheel blue dream
It's is part of my Lofi music collection
2. Peach is a badass princess that don’t need no man 😎
Mario and Luigi only disappeared for a day though, and it was at night so they probably didn’t even know they left to fix the pipes underground, as well as assumed they left that morning for a plumbers gig
1: You can alter the directions of those bullet bills in the games.
2: Peach got tired waiting on him and just passed out.
3: They are grown men and their family isn't treating them like children.
For number 3: Mario & Luigi went to the site late at night. When they returned to Brooklyn, dawn was approaching. Time moves differently in the mushroom kingdom world than out here, so they likely spent a few hours there in our time.
I feel like the 3rd one might make sense that the family got their memories erased when Mario and Luigi went into the Mushroom Kingdom until they returned to New York.
Mario’s parents: They’re gone missing? Oh well, time to make spaghetti without them
Peach slept to watch Mario because she's not a typical princess. Also she believed that Mario would persevere so she was there to support him!
1. The Bullet Bills and Banzai Bills (Bomber Bills) have real eyes instead of them being painted on, so of course it would hurt. And they have a degree of sentience like Bob-Ombs and Chain Chomps too.
2. Peach wanted to see Mario's training through, but didn't realize it would take all night and wound up falling asleep. Some people wind up falling asleep at desks or against a wall if tired enough too.
3. Mario and Luigi were only gone for 3 days, enough for the water to drain from the flood. And their family might have gotten worried if it was past 3 days, cause they came back on the 4th morning.
1. The Bullet Bills can change directions, 2. She was helping Mario train and they were on a time crunch, 3. We didn’t see their parents throughout the film, so they could’ve been searching for the brothers. Also, Mario and Luigi are adults so their parents probably didn’t think that they were missing at first
tf were the parents supposed to do? “hey my two sons are inside of the brooklyn pipeline and fighting a life sized turtle”
I actually only understand the last one because Mario and Luigi were missing for a really long time.
However, bullet bill got hit in the eye by Mario’s raccoon tail. Even though the physics seems over the top, I can still see how it can react to Mario’s attack.
Finally, I think Peach fell asleep on the balcony on accident. You know when you do something or watch something for so long that your mind would just get bored or feel sleepy and then shut down, and you sleep where you left off? Sure, it’s not comfortable sleeping on the balcony like that, but she had been waiting for Mario to finish the training course.
You forgot the part where Mario recklessly guides the Banzai Bill into the warp pipe that he KNOWS is connected to his Homeworld possibly endangering Millions.
As an Italian, can confirm family can just up and vanish and no one else will be suspicious. Everyone just kinda assumes Giuseppe went to Lorenzo's place. It's when other members of the family confirm they haven't seen someone for awhile is when everyone is kinda like "oh...that's not good"
I've experienced this shit and it does baffle me how I can call up a cousin and they just casually drop how zia hasn't been home for a few days🙃
I think that Mario and Luigi are fully functional adults that don’t need their parents supervision. Maybe that’s why they didn’t care that their 2 fully adult sons didn’t come home for bed time
We never cut back to Brooklyn while the brothers are in Mushroom Land, so we have no way of knowing their parents were worried or not.
I actually really like the fact that the bullets ain't (entirely...?) inanimate.
The last one makes sense that the parents should’ve been scared
Bro sounds like the sorta guy that would watch Jurassic Park and complain that dinosaurs can't be brought back to life so it's not realistic 💀
POV: The parents got a break
Peach is not your typical princess in this movie so it wouldn't surprise me to see her sleep in a weird place
im more bothered when peach ran back to the castle and shouted Mario was gone. Everyone gasped. Do they really know mario enough to gasped that hard?
People saying the time in the mushroom kingdom and the real word are different could be a logical answer, but in the night before they went missing they were eating spaghetti for dinner and when Mario goes back to the real world they’re having pancakes, meaning that at least they were missing for a whole day and they didn’t mind
peach probably just fell asleep because of how tired she was
I used to play this game as a 6-7 year old but when i grew older i started watching your videos and when i saw these videos about Angela I took photos when i was playing the game and zoomed in i had seen a glimpse of the man i had deleted it after a while
i dont like the movie its trash nintendo sucks
Disney is better but i like to je$$$king off looking at princess Peach pictures on my phone
All Bullet Bill variants are living. Some games depict them having blinking eyes, swaying arms and grunting when defeated.
It's also weird how nobody cared that 2 rainbow Italian were beating the crap out of a giant talking flame breathing turtle?
I feel like their family weren't worried about mario and luigi just because they had to work all day and night.
I think the explanation for their parents not being worried was probably because time runs slower in the real world. So a week in the Mushroom Kingdom might be a few hours in the real world
I think that last one, they thought Mario and Luigi was fixing that flooded pipe.
