I had a hard time believing that was her and assumed that was either a retconed Paulyne or an expy of peach before the bros entered the mushroom kingdom.😊

Correction to #4: The 1993 movie wasn’t the first Mario movie to be made. There was an animated one in 1986 that only aired in Japan called the Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach, which you can find fully restored on youtube

@@pkmntrainermark8881 That movie was released on the same day as this other movie game called Running Boy: Star Soilder no Himitsu (someone please look it up), so technically speaking, both movies were the first film adaptations of video games. However, the 1993 adaptation starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo was the first Hollywood film adaptation of a game, paving the way for other movies like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, well at least at the time.
Won't lie a Mario movie by sony, with Genndy Tartakovsky as one of the creative leads does sound amazing

Another correction, in fact 45 the first arrow does not point to Little Mac. It is a picture of Don Flamaco. However later in the same scene, there is a news article about Little Mac with his picture.
The second arrow points to Bald Bull, and the third arrow points to Aran Ryan.

I like the movie but I just don’t get this mentality of rooting for a bunch of millionaires so fervently. Who really cares if they make more money, they already have tons of money, I’m just glad people are enjoying the movie
last i saw it was at #4 of all time animated movies just behind Incredibles 2 and both Forzens

Lumalee isn’t a new character, they’re from Super Mario Galaxy.

Luma's are from galaxy there was no luma's named lumalee in either galaxy games

Wave Race is mentioned as R. Hayami is said to be the one who won the Wave Race championship this year.
Metroid is mentioned as the ticker said scientists have received a mysterious signal from Solar System FS-176, the same solar system Zebes and Tallon IV are a part of in the Metroid games.

01:10 its was the first Mario film outside that Japan 🇯🇵. Japan 🇯🇵 hade a Mario film in 1986 i think with a anime style. And for whatever Luigi in that film hade yellow-blue and not green-blue.
That movie is really underrated
One fact you missed is when Mario and Luigi fall and crash into the brick wall the hole it makes is a pixel perfect Mario/Luigi Head.

Just saw this today with my wife and kids!! We loved it!! My son says it's the best movie ever! I grew up with Mario and loved all the little Easter eggs!

It's possible that Genndy Tartakovsky could get a second chance to direct a Mario movie, specifically the sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie if Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic wouldn't be available to come back to the sequel as directors.

This is a stretch, but when the pink Yoshi was licking it's lips while watching Mario eat an apple, this could be a reference to apples being its favorite fruit in Yoshi's Story for the Nintendo 64. Also, it was the same apple found in the Super Mario World games.

Fact Lumalee was always apart of galaxy they were trading power ups for star bits.
Lumalee's not a new character. Lumalee is from Mario Galaxy, it's the Luma that you by HP Up and 1Up Mushrooms from.
I thought fact 52 ended up being false? First I heard of it was someone on twitter just posted that without a source and it sounded like a cool detail so everyone just spread that around

Interesting fact, the original release date for the movie was going to be my birthday and we planned to see it to celebrate. When we heard it was postponed, I didn’t care. I even got to see it twice.

My son constantly asks to watch this movie, and I don't mind at all watching it over and over. I love seeing and hearing all the nostalgic references. They did a brilliant job.

Fun Fact 109: This movie has 59% Rotten Tomatoes and 96% entertainment on Rotten Tomatoes, lets hope for the next sequel for this Block Bust gets a fresh Tomatoes sometime in 2024, for it's Sequel, have the antidote for Bowser being big again from consuming the Blue mushroom at the end of the film.

I enjoyed this movie a lot! So entertaining and hilarious! I’m glad that Mario was able to have a good movie now.

The mario games are soo nostalgic, and im happy to see the movie about it made soo well
The one thing that really angers me was Seth being DK. At least Pratt had done some voice work prior. Animation films and VAs are not taken seriously and it irks me. I get it, you need to have A-listers but in my opinion someone like Seth shouldn’t have been in this movie.

lumalee i think is the spelling. not an actual character in the games but a part of it. it is a luma but the lee part comes from the shop rhyme a luma says

Well there were so many facts that I was already aware of that I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people who have seen the movie were already aware of in terms of the references, but I will say the more obscure ones were definitely quite the treat

If I recall correctly, the scene with Mario attempting to attack DK during their challenge, he does an attack pattern similar to his Smash Brother combo.
