@@aqulex84Love my fanatec gear but also had issues with them, my pedal started giving issues, luckily there is a third party load cell kit which perfectly fixes the issues. Also the handbrake broke from being pulled, I mainly drifted and rallied but still, it shouldn't break from being used the way it was intended

I'm actually baffled at how something relatively simple such as a shifter can be crazy expensive. A single T300RS shifter for example is more expensive than a whole G29 wheel
I recommend shoes for any simracer. Those exact sparco shoes are quite cheap (about €40), really comfy and light. I can’t imagine driving without them now
Dude buy the cheap metal shifter from eBay/Amazon/AliExpress! It cost me 60€ and it feels so much better than the Fanatec shifter! I wanted to order the Fanatec shifter but that tried it at a buddies and was super disappointed. It still feels like some to made for a computer and nothing like a mechanical thing that would be in a car! Then I ordered one of those cheap shifters off eBay (get the 6+r not the 7+r if you want to be able to shift fast into 5 and 6. The 7+r is only good if you want to drive semis and use it as an 8 speed with a splitter) and it feels absolutely perfect! It feels real and mechanical, just like the manual shifter in my BMW e36! Don’t waste the money on something that doesn’t feel right!
To my simracing bretheren that are in search for shoes to use but don´t wanna pay 70+ euros...i used some and a type that fits perfectly is martial arts ones. We buy Wacoku or Feiyue shoes for kung fu and let me tell you that they also fit perfectly for simracing. Thin rubber sole that is grippy were you need it and loose were you need it and its cheap on aliexpress or amazon.last pair i bought was around 15 euros.
If you've decided to go that deep, then you've no choice, you got to go deeper or else ain't never getting out. The best is to avoid it before by... paying what we need from it instead of buying because it's Fanatec or the simple idea that when it's that expensive it surely worth the price because you're going to regret spending that much money, it hurts, my wallet, my wallet hurts aouch 💶💶💸💸💷💷💱🏦🚫

CSL DD from Fanatec bundled with Wheel and Pedals, goes for 400 Euro brand new (Should be < 500 USD). Then later you can buy the break upgrade (load cell) and the Boosterkit (5nm -> 8nm) for 150 each (both are good upgrades but not necessary). No millions needed for DD action these days.
I have those exact shoes and I couldn’t imagine driving without them! I got them on a sale for around 170PLN so around €40. The Fanatec shifter is incredible, really satisfying shifting! Might get a pair of gloves as I have an alcantara wheel

Buy 3-D printer multigrade purpose 3-D printer and just make the components yourself, but you also need to know how to work on engineering and tech you can just look it up online and they have guides that tell you what to do

True, but most of the wear in the long term comes from the sweat & oils in your hands and skin which would largely be mitigated by a decent pair gloves I think
first of all use the standard gas and brake method: keep your right foot at the brake and if needed for gas then dont switch your foot to the gas but just stay at the middle and put ur upper foot to the gas
