you guys have quickly become one of my favorite comic book channels. have even started keeping an eye out for those high grade, low census bronze age comics in our collection. refreshing to find a page with your perspective, especially when 90 percent of content so cynical and shallow in its actual advice

I was at a local comic con today and recommended your channel to people I met - a father an son just starting out - as I felt that they could learn a lot from what you have to share. I'm quite confident that the other subscribers would agree that you have a wealth of information that you share with all of us. Always look forward to your videos.

I use my Comic Shop a lot - only had 1 bad experience out of 20. I used What Not for about 10k of books but there is a lot of tricky people in there and 10% of the time there is grading issues or shipping issues. I used Heritage too but their fees are really high.

I feel like class is in session when watching your videos. I do not think there is anything as a bad Joe Kubert cover. And, Ernie Chan is under appreciated in my book. He seemed to be everywhere for DC in 1975 and 1976. Love his art. Now, I am biased as his art graces the cover of the first comic I remember buying as a kid, Justice League #133. Still one of my absolute favorite comics to this day.

I had to smile when I saw Mile High Comics on your list! Its kind of a shame their web site is kind of stuck in the 90's. They played a big part in kickstarting my comic book collecting journey in the early '80s. Back then, it was all about the spinner rack at my local Hallmark Card shop-hit and miss every month.
Then came Mile High with their irresistible offer of 100 comics for $25. It was a game-changer for me. Soon after, I discovered their N.I.C.E. subscription plan, and I was hooked. Filling out that sheet, sending a check, and eagerly waiting for my personalized comic haul each month was a highlight of my collecting days.
Curious if Mile High Comics play a role in anyone else's early days of collecting too?
    Cheers!

Mostly Heritage and ComicLink for graded or $$$$. MCS for fillers (very strict (under) grading). If you see a MCS book on eBay, buy it off their website, because they add eBay fees to the cost on eBay. I buy a few on eBay; but it seems like everyone puts their PC books on eBay at 2X market to see if they sell. I do some MCS auctions too.

Great video again! My personal favourite place to buy is My Comic Shop on raw comics, graded by MCS experienced graders, because they are awfully strict, and in my opinion undergrade. Catawiki is a european auction site which sometimes has great opportunities (not so well known, so you have less competition :)). I bought some great old Avengers stuff (6,7 among others) there for a really good price..

I agree that the Mile high site is horrible! It's too complicated. The books are high cuz the owner doesn't want to sell what he owns. I saw a video of his store tour he gave. And he admitted that he doesn't want to sell anything. He'd rather keep it all. He's a rather eccentric guy.

I've only shopped for comics on either eBay or on Shortboxed but I am currently looking to buy on Comic Connect. However, I have purchased some comics through some independent auction sites. My goal for this year is to focus more on Silver and Bronze age books and ease up on going after the modern stuff.

    • @RichardOlney-wl4zl

Comic Connect is okay but the photos are limited and they often overgrade their books from what I hear. Plus shipping is $20. I got an Avengers #9(4.5 raw) for $140 last year was $180 after tax & shipping. They do take a while to ship as well, up to 1-3 months. It's dicey but you can find deals.
