I checked out your video here because of the title, Why comic pricing is broken! What's your take on sellers pushing what they want you to think is limited edition covers which really aren't anything special for quadruple the cover price or more. Then they put up their idea of specials of buy 2 get one free! Ultimately we're looking at paying $20 to $40 or even more for a whopping 3 comics. This is beyond the absurd....

After you’re 50 you need to wear those old people tennis shoes. Hoka or Brooks. They add one inch to your height and make your old feet don’t hurt. I’m so confident I’m right that if Dave’s feet don’t feel better after wearing them I’ll reimburse him! He probably needs to get the wider ones cuz he’s so tall.

Late 80’s early 90’s Mike sold me some of the best comics I own. I still remember living in Queens, seeing Mike and his dad selling at the Elks club. I was a kid and he always took time to teach me about the hobby. Seeing him really brought me back.

Hulk 168 is one of the first comic books I've bought. We were returning from a weekend fishing trip and my family whipped into a Circle K. We were about an hour out of town, and I picked it out of the rack. I recently picked one up from eBay to go with the Tomb of Dracula 1 (my only slab) I bought from Heritage. Just some fond memories to revisit. I purchased my original Dracula off the rack at a 7-11 around the corner from the house. I had to have something to read while enjoying my Slurpee in the new baseball cup promotion. At some point, between these two book buys, I started collecting.

Hey guys! Weird question but I think you guys would have the most knowledge on it.. I have a Scooby Doo #5 (with Mark Jewelers) - Goldkey 1971 in very good shape (I cant confidently say a number grade but maybe a 7.5 or so). I am fairly new to collecting comics so I'm having a hard time understanding if it is valuable. How would you go about finding a price/or if this is valuable? Love the videos! Keep em coming!!

It would be interesting to compare prices five years from now. I think 2021 was the comic bubble and it inflated prices. Since then, prices have stabilized. I think people have learned their lesson from "extreme" levels of speculation. I think many moderns are dead because they were based on pure speculation. Where as other older books have longevity because people care about the characters and stories (before the comic boom).

So my local LCS owner is the biggest Metallica fan ever and hates Megadeth with a passion. I found a copy of that Cryptic Writings of Megadeth #1 book and bought it for 5$. I put it on his wall books for 10$ without him knowing. He refused to sell it to a customer and threw the book at me the next time I walked in. Too damn funny
