Will send prayers for your wife. Good info on a subject often overlooked. My college buddy who is a doctor told me about a patient of his who came in with right arm weakness. It had been getting worse over months. After examining him he noticed a growth on his left side of his scalp, he was bald. He told him to go see an oncologist ASAP. Patient went and sure enough it was skin cancer that had became a tumor over a period of years. Unfortunately it had already grown through the skull and into the brain. Patient died 6 months later. Sun protection is vital!

Geez, I’m 70 and for ten years have been visiting my sadistic dermatologist who freezes 20-30 spots all over my head and face!,,, don’t be me! Seriously when I was your age I’d sit in the sun for hours baking and tanning. It’s a strange blessing that your gal was tagged early and therefore you’re getting smart about the sun especially where you live. Best wishes to you and yours, Bro!
