In Thailand, Deepal is in different class than Xpeng. Just slightly above BYD Atto3. Good value? Definitely. Coz I drive the Deepal L07 Sedan now. Test-driven the Xpeng G6. It blew my mind. My 76 yo dad loves it!! Xpeng is the only one that measures up to Tesla.
I have the Deepal S7, way better than Tesla Y in areas that mattered to me, which I also considered. Xpeng G6 looks boring and interior is more traditional which is not a plus in my book so I didn't even consider it. Each to their own I guess.
Seen a couple of those in Thailand, they look really good. I’m not an SUV guy, but I will definitely take a closer look once I sell (if I am able to) my Model 3.
They've launched in Nepal around 4/5 months ago in Nepal and so have Zeekr, Xpeng and lots of other chinese big and small brands that are entering the western market now or are planning to in future. And they launch it like a brand new product noone have ever seen before 😆
The S07 is being sold in México ATM with two versions, including an reev. It did get 5 stars from Euro NCAP (the video is up now if anyone is curious). I haven't seen one in the wild yet but it is on the Changan MX website and there are a couple of reviews up by Mexican car vloggers.
I have the 620km (500km on highways) range version. Charging is not an issue on longer trips. I am not driving for longer than 4 hrs at a time without lunch brake anyway. 1 hr charging has never been an issue because the battery size allows all morning of afternoon driving and 1hr lunch brake perfectly covers the charging.
Sam you are spoiled with all the fast-charging Chinese EVs... This thing charges faster than our 2017 Bolt, our 2016 Model S, and almost as fast as the Lightning...
No problem, no one will believe this is a Tesla... but will never know what is until see the badge... as all the other Tesla "killers"... over 100 EV producers in China, and too many still are copying the others...
This S07 has the body design of Toyota bz4x, looks better though.. it features and interior layout are top notch for a mid range price Suv.. if price is low.. it looks way better than Mg4, Citroën C4X, Atto3, its a good package from the Brand History.
Really?, but that issue is with the pure electric version or with the extended range (hybrid) one? I'd like to know that because here in my country Deepal was launched as a new brand 3-4 days ago and this S07 is causing a huge impact because the technology, range and interior quality
@@Kerbero13 pure electric. But i think they are comparing with BYD and Byd was better in uphill. Honestly go for Deepal, the uphill we are talking is tough as we are talking about Nepal.
@@Yooo47, yeah, I'm really impressed with this Deepal S07. I'm from Colombia and here in Bogota (the capital of the country) started the Bogota's Motor Show some days ago, and Deepal presented this S07 in pure electric and hybrid version and the latter is the one I like. Tomorrow I'll go to the Motor Show just to check it and ask if they have a test drive for this S07. I have a Peugeot 2008 model 2021 which I really love but I'm thinking that this S07 could be a great purchase as my first hybrid car
Biggest problem with these new brands is spare parts. Lots of byd owners complaining about waiting months to get parts and repairs and they've been around a while now
Changan, one of the Chinese 'big four' and the manufacturer of Deepal, is serious about EVs. Like SAIC (another one of China's big four legacy players) Changan is finding it hard to hit pay dirt with its current EV offerings but it is definitely putting in a lot of effort towards that goal. It's as if the existing customers of SAIC and Changan are waiting for an EV from their preferred supplier that will truly bowl them over. So, will these companies hit pay dirt? I think so, if they put a big effort in on all fronts - vehicle and motor engineering, battery engineering and software. At the moment, though, the newly rising NEV players including BYD, Geely, GAC AION, Xpeng, NIO and Xiaomi are taking business away from the established auto companies in China. The big four will want to hit their stride in EVs soon or they will be at risk of bankruptcy down the line.
What US, EU and Japanese legacy auto doesn't realize is that Chinese BEV brands don't compete with them any more - but mainly amongst themselves. Only Tesla and South Korea are a part of the competition. US, EU and Japanese legacy auto are: out. Even Vietnam's Vinfast and Turkey's TOGG have better cards than US, EU and Japanese legacy auto.
They've got the product right already. Now they desperately need a brand consultant to come up with better name than that which sounds like a Tandoori restaurant.
At this moment I see the mobile phone market situation reflected Simple said, they have something from Tesla but do not replace Tesla... for too many reasons.
Dude you're releasing 6 videos a day and working too hard. Everytime china farts or releases a new virus. You deliver immediately. Have a great for a day. The leading competitors in the suv range are the Zeekr X7. Lixiang L6. Avatar 07. Denza 09 or something. For a great review on all of them. Givilech Sergey does the best detailed drive reports.

They are already in Thailand for since April. And priced way lower than Tesla. Right hand drive L07 and s07 available.
Model Y 1,8 Million THB, S07 (long range) 1.6 Million THB (in China 850k THB by the way)

West is doomed bro if they don't switch to EV. Nepal, Thailand are testing grounds. Love Zeekr btw.
By the way the Zeekr 001 FR has set the lap record for the Shanghai International Circuit, very hard to find much info out of the chinese website.s

They are in Thailand... will be test driving one soon....
Another great video mate and another potential good brand but what worries me about all the new brands is service and parts and repair networks?
Deepal cars design is much better than boring Teslas and this is Changan, the Chinese government. Zero chance of bankruptcy.

It's huge hit in Nepal. More popular than BYD here. But with one problem said by buyers: It performs bad in full load uphill. Really bad.

Servicing is over priced for most EVs, there's no way i would take my car to the dealer for a service. Independent servicing is much cheaper.
