The aircon can be adjusted from the buttons in the steering wheel. And you can personalise the bottom menu on the screen with whatever shortcut you want, so you don't have to go through layers. The phone app uses Bluetooth to open the car by proximity, your wife can use her phone too, it will pick up the one closest to the driver's door. You can adjust the proximity distance.
Thank you for this, but even though you can adjust the air-conditioning vents from the steering wheel, it still does not beat having the real deal which are just much easier to use, particularly when driving. As for the phone app, we checked with the product guys, they told us that it's only usable with one phone, someone must be wrong.
@@PistonMalaysia the phone app works up to 6 phones. I'm sharing the car with the wife and the only issue we found is sometimes when we both approach the car it register her phone first so it load her profile and I had to manually switch to mine
Definitely one of the main car reviewers i watch, real reviews.. before watching know it's gonna be a honest review The first thing to do when bring a new car is find out where the emergency door release is, but it should be clearly indicated not require instructions or extra steps
Thank you and yes, 100% agreed on the emergency door releases, it's not just the XPeng, in fact almost all cars that have electronic lathes do not indicate where the mechanical ones are.
My brother bought the G9 and loves it. I have a test drive scheduled with the G6 on Monday. I would have preferred to test the G3i because I prefer smaller cars, but they don't bring that model to my country.
The proton is smaller than this by a segment. Sat in it during KLIMS. 1 of the reason why I went with this was because the bench length and height is just perfect. It's not as short as Model Y so you get under tigh support and it's high enough that you're not squatting so long journey is comfy both the front and rear passenger
Great review. The screen settings can be annoying at first, a lot of folks have this complaint when they test or purchase these vehicles. This pretty much the same on my past BMWs iDrive system, as well my KIAs, with the exception of a few features like the climate and vent controls. Once you set them up, you are rarely making changes to them. Good to hear the suspension is setup for high speed driving, I went for a low speed drive in one and I would have liked it to have adjustable suspension, with the drive modes.
Hi bro, Thanks for addressing the safety aspects of the car, the suspension, the door opening. No other reviewer has done so. It's almost like they've been deliberately avoiding it. What I'm concerned about these Chinese cars flooding the market is the safety aspect: suspension, handling, body roll, braking, steering feel, and most importantly, the crash test. I'm not going near any of theese vehicles until there is transparent evidence of the safety aspects.
Yea, these cars are not for everyone. In that sense, I really like Volvo's smaller EV's like the EX30 and even the Japanese ones that do not over complicate matters.
Im totally okay with being old since that just means that I have driven some of the best cars out there hence why I can critique the new cars simply because of the sheer number of cars I have driven. Wisdom comes with age anyway.
Agreed with you on the Mercedez suspension, also all these Chinese cars are very much duplicates of each other and all of them seem to have the overly large center screens, which to me is very distractive and too complicated to use.
@@PistonMalaysia My sentiment and opinion exactly, not a matter of usage, but very distractive and feels more like an afterthought, placing a such overly sized screen, why can't they just integrate the screen within the dashboard, also too much tech, why can't they add some knobs atleast.

@@PistonMalaysiayou can use more than one phone of course, each with its own profile, just ask anyone who has the car
@@PistonMalaysiayou can also use voice commands to adjust the vents, or anything you need, the AI on board is pretty impressive

There is a way to open the doors mechanically. I recall seeing videos showing where they are.
Yes, I did mention it in the video.

Volvo is Chinese now😂
Saying that about the buttons, just makes you sound old lol

Centre Console looks a bit space hogging.

They are actually really easy and once they a set you never need them again
