Wow. Soooo freakin cool! Baddest bike in the neighborhood for sure!! Especially now with gas prices, you're riding the exotic sports/muscle car of today's times with that bike. Awesome job! Bless your heart!
Well Done OldShovel, Seeing the gratitude in Carson's eyes makes me think that 20 years from now he will be restoring bikes and giving them away to kids in need as well. This one act of kindness seems like it could inspire hundreds of OldShovel bikes. Nice work.
What an uplifting video, incredible energy, beautiful gesture. Man, you're a lucky person, you've experienced the joy of giving. Thank you for all you do.
@@oldshovel I must give you one more thank you. Dec 5th 2020 I checked myself into rehab and for the first time ever in my adult life I got clean. I'm closing in on my two month mark. It's really cool. Your videos have helped me through all the boredom and doubt on where I wanted to see myself in my optimistic future. Bikes are a big part of my life now and your videos and positive attitude make me so greatful that I stumbled upon your chanel. Just wondering but, when I hit a 6 months or 1 year clean would there ever be a way I could meet you and mabey hangout with you when you build up a bike? Just a thought. I know you're busy but again your build videos are more serene than you know. Thanks again for being my hero!
I just saw this video today, and the beginning hit me, I started mountain biking a couple months ago during quarantine, and I have found my new passion. I am on the younger end as a teenager, and so thankful that I started it. To me it has been one of the only things that really make me happy, and so happy that the community is so nice. This guy is the person who I think should be like the face of mountain biking, he's the perfect example of who you should think of when someone brings up mountain biking.
I stay watching Gee Milner and Joes bike builds, but never has watching a bike build hit me right in the feels. Great job building something meaningful for some one deserving.
Great job! Besides the pleasure of restoring the bike, leaving it customized is a plus. The boy's surprised face is magnificent. It's priceless. Congratulations!
the way he looks on his new bike is amazing, it seems that he is so much happy. Great Job for all who made it possible for this kid to have his new Santacruz bike
This is absolutely amazing. I love your story and your giving back heart. You've truly been blessed with a talent, and you are using your talent to help others. That is awesome.
So... What more does it need to be happy than a boy, that is thankful and proud of what you did for him... My twins looked the same on their 12. birthday when I presented them the two bikes I built for more than a year. A great job, once again!
what an amazing thing to do for a complete stranger. I love the bike and I think the colour scheme works perfect. Carson didn't have to say much as his look said it all. I've been watching your channel for a while now and I love all the builds you do. I built a bike for my Son 'Will' when he was born and have kept it hidden from him until he turns 16 whic is about 7 years away. I hope he likes it as much as Carson liked the build you did for him. I've not seen my son since he was 1. keep up the good work.
Very nice build! Every part seemed perfect! Gold chain was the perfect touch. I think he knew it was a custom build in less than 5 seconds. I hope Carson has hammered it through a few races by now!
When you threw those beautiful tannies on and set em up tubeless I literally yelled no way !! Icing on the cake and a total class act on the giveaway my friend. +1 Sub
Such a nice video.. may God almighty bless you more for what you are doing.. the look of this young man couldn't believe that he just have his dream bike..😢
Once more you have dedicated so much attention and love to build an awesome bike that is not intended to make you rich but will sure enrich you in several other ways. I´m very touched by your work to make those kids happy. Cheers, mate. Keep doing your great work. Best regards from Portugal.
Sir! I I salute You! It's been my parents who always backed me up with my passion as much as they could. You did the same for this young guy. Seeing this young Man happiness is priceless.
THE BEST bike vid I’ve ever seen! :) The TB looks great! Indeed a dream bike for many riders. I ride the same one... was love at the first crank turn. Touching to witness your kindness, man. Congrats!!!
I just started watching your chanel a few weeks ago- but i'm sure people will remember you as a man of empathy and honour. What you do and express is inspiring. May you and your family stay safe. Greetings from Germany.👍
Just from the reaction: what a great kid. I imagine he doesn't ask for much, and his look just expresses an understanding of what a significant gift this is not for him to receive, but for others to give. He gets it. I see good things coming his way. Nice job on the bike and picking the right kid for it.
I love ALL your restorations bro, but this one was by far the most touching. What you did for that young guy, amazing. This is what the world needs, more of this kind of thing. You a good person !!!!
Your going to blow up ... I feel it ... your good soul and heart ... your passion for what you do ... that everyone respects .. I see the 100k subs already.
If that didn’t touch your heart then you probably don’t have one. Well done Robert and everyone that helped, what an amazing gesture 🙌🏼 I did a similar thing a few years ago with a youngster in our neighbourhood with an YZ85cc motorcycle and he has gone on to become an extremely accomplished young rider with a huge amount of potential 👍🏼
You did such an amazing job! Santa cruz’s are known for their attention to detail, and i think this bike has that. Also good job on getting an alloy frame, it would’ve been such a shame if you got a carbon frame and it cracked or snapped. Again, you did such an amazing job!
That was awesome 👏 and I’m sure if felt even better if there were only more people like you in this world 🌎 it would be a much nicer place merry Christmas 🎁🎄 and god bless
The best bit was his face unreal to see how much he was over whelmed. Very well chosen person
