- It was Inevitable.... 30 Cents or 50 Cents - That is the question today, Thanos has the answers!
This comparison was inspired by the overwhelming hype surrounding the Ohuhu markers, are they worth it? That's what we will find out....
But with Amazons Cheapest alcohol markers, are they really the BEST cheap markers out there?
Today's drawing was created by ADC after researching various versions of the character, I hope you like it :).
Remember art is about having fun, so above all else when choosing what you want to work with, ensure that you are enjoying the process... The results are secondary to the journey.
Now onto that important information you've waiting for, The colours..
TouchCool First -
Blues; Pale Baby Blue, Sky Blue, Cerulean Blue, Royal Blue, Prussian Blue, Blue Grey 7.
Yellows; Pastel Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Terra Cotta.
Purples; Pale Lilac, Pastel Violet, Vivid Purple.
Ohuhu Markers -
These markers dont have colors, they have numbers:
Blues; 66, 67, 63, 64, 72
Yellows; 37, 45, 24, 33
Purples; 84, 83, 82, 81
That's basically it, looks really basic when they're written out like that haha, felt like a lot more.. hmm..

even if he used 1 cent markers he makes them look like 20 cent markers he's that good. You don't need expensive art supplies its how you use bend your creativity and tool to make the best of what ya got.

I was thinking the same thing. This guy probably throws away drawings that are better than anything I've made lol
but of course you can't deny the fact that you could make better artworks. Yes you could make great ones by using cheap supplies, but if you got the money and willing to spend it on your career or passion, why not spend it to add more beauty to your art especially if it's watercolor art or color pencil art. But of course, I understand your comment is intended for people who are uncapable of buying expensive supplies
Bruh 20 cents is not that much.
Don't forget it's also about how easy it is to achieve certain results. You definitely DON'T have to buy the most expensive stuff by any means, but typically a higher quality (Note how I say quality, not more expensive) media has better pigmentation, better blending, things like that. This seems to hold true for pencils, markers, paint, etc. Good quality means how well the media does what it SHOULD do. And it can be discouraging for a novice trying to get a certain look with cheap art supplies to just NOT get desired results. There's definitely more costly things out there that aren't worth it, absolutely. But never discount the possibility of upgrading a bit. ;)

I've got the touch cool markers, white barrel ones though (exactly the same) and for a beginner artist like myself they are perfectly adequate. They do what it says on the tin, they are alcohol markers that blend just fine. Its not the supplies but the artist that effects the outcome of a piece 🙂

Everytime he say "Ohuhu" I think "Yoohoo".
And, Humm! I really like both. I would probably go with the Ohuhu markers. Only because the purple looks purple. As with the Amazon markers the purple looks pink. Other than that they are both very vibrant markers. Now I have only really used Crayola markers. My daughter teacher gave her "The fine Touch Twin markers", which I have been experimenting with. (Not to bad.)

Okay, so I drew this and colored it as you did. I used Arteza Everblends 120 for mine and when I did the gold I was like, okay, that looks pretty good. Then I drew the little accent lines as you did and WOW that really made it pop out. Thanks for the idea. I still have to get better at shading with markers. I used to be an oil painter (Bob Ross style) and I didn't have to worry so much about shading as you do with comic styles and superheroes etc. But you've re-inspired this old man to draw again and because of that, I've inspired my grandson. Now you have two more subscribers and we constantly watch and rewatch your videos.

Hey this is an off topic question but what happened that lodged a piece of glass in your thumb u said it was there for years and why don't u get it removed
Huzaifa Nanabhai I assume it’s too late to do it now they would have to cut layers of skin just to get it out and it might be fragmented which means they would most likely have to remove sections of skin and on his thumb non than less the heal time would be crazy long and it’s on his dominant hand which would make daily task really pain full to do I got a deep plastic cut on my thumb and it was not fun to hold things so if they removed a lot of skin on the thumb the changes of him using his dominant hand in less than a month would be low note I’m not a doctor but this is just my general assumption my bad not dominate hand his non dominant I forgot he said remove caps but still my point stands

The $.5 ones are “better” in a way, mostly the color, but I like the $.3 marker style better. The washed look is nicer in my opinion.

I agree with you, the Touchcool markers are much nicer than the Ohuhu. I like how they blended and I am not a fan of streaks in my marker art, under any circumstance. I just find it...wrong to me.
My favourite villain of all time is Quakerjack from Darkwing Duck. After all, toys can be dangerous too! XD
As for what you could try in another vid is, Chameleon Colour Blend markers or Arrtx Alcohol markers? I like the Chameleon markers myself, I like how you can get multiple shades of colour from just one pen...They are a tad bit on the long and bulky side however. But I have small hands so even Copics sometimes feel bulky. ^_^
It's amazing!!! I saw the whole process and I really enjoyed it....you alway told us about all new art techniques by differentiating the colours on the drawing sheet

Just discovered your channel yesterday and am really enjoying it. While it is amazing to see you work out the colors, shadings and highlighting of the characters, I'd love to see some comparisons done in other genres, such as landscapes (realism and fantasy!) or even some still life work to see the differences.

TouchCool wins this one for me because of the vibrancy i saw in comparison with the OHUHU markers, awesome vid as always.
I prefer the armour on the right but the face on the left.

I have the Ohuhu brush markers and they're pretty good, and a bunch of 'TouchNew' markers that I bought on Wish that are basically the same as the ones you've got lol Honestly they're all good for cheaper brands, especially if you wanna try out markers and don't want to sell a kidney to be able to afford them OTL

While I normally prefer brighter colours, this time I’ll say I prefer the left because I feel a villain like Thanos deserves the darker tones.

I use Ohuhu personally and they work well for the type of art I do. By the way, if you don't like its bullet nib, they have a 48 pack of brush tip markers if you wanna look into those. I just recently got them and they work really well.

Hi, ADCArtAttack, Bob, Larry, and Sally! I actually like both sides of your artwork and am happy to have some new brands of markers to try out! As for villains, my favorite MARVEL villains are Loki and Hela and my favorite DC villain is The Joker.
The greatest comic book villan is the villian in the comic ( why else would they add a none wanted character)

I really appreciated that you did not copy a reference photo but instead used the references to design your own Thanos.
It's a tie for me. But if somebody wants brush nibs, then go with Ohuhu. They have brush nib sets too. With every one of these alcohol marker comparison videos, it seems to really drive home how extremely overpriced Copics are. And how they aren't worth the money unless you work strictly in marker.

You got me really interested in the FirstTouch markets though. Between how the left side turned out and you comparing them to water colors makes me want to try them.
My other half got me into watching your videos a few weeks back, 2 days later I bought the touch cool pens and they are great for the price! I'm not great at drawing (other half is) but I never thought of colouring, colouring books until I saw your videos!

ADCArtAttack, great work as always. For a future video maybe try using different brands of markers together. Think of it like tag team wrestling. Two brands on one side and two on the other. Or maybe use all your brands on one piece and call it a battle royal. I haven't watched wrestling in like twenty years but I think it's a good metaphor for this. 😁
I do really like the black lines on the yellow. Definitely gives it that more comic book feel to it.
In my eyes you can't be wrong with either one, the flow of both markers are good and the results are good for so little cost.
My friend, I think a GREAT artist, can take nearly anything and make it look amazing. This is what YOU have done. Admitting these pens might not be as controllable of the more expensive ones you obviously have and use in your work, the art you created still is quite amazing. :) I gotta pick these up!!! Me encanta como te quedó. Creo que ambos son buenísimos. Yo tengo los Touch y el unico pero que le encuentro es que tira demasiado alcohol en comparación al Ohuhu. Y eso hace que no dure mucho. Y el ohuhu dura mucho más que el touch. Los colores de ohuhu son más apagados. Pero se ven mejor creo. Son más fuertes pero no chillones. Quiero encontrar esos y asi en punta fina no pincel. Esta hermoso. Esto demuestra que con cualquier lapiz y una buena hoja con paciencia y tecnica de color queda siempre bien. Me encantó.

I used to say coloring ruined my drawings. Today I decided to draw (JUST BECAUSE I SAW YOUR VIDEO) n now I'm out trying to buy colored pencils n markers 😂 I love your content
Both sides came out really great in my opinion. I think next you should try out their alcohol brush markers. I like those more than the bullet tips, however, the bullet tips are still my go to for really tight spaces. I actually do have a set of their 100ct bullet tip alcohol markers and all of their brush markers. They are one of the best affordable marker sets especially for beginners.

Same problem with the caps, they're really tough to pull off.
But very great variety of colors, easy to blend.

You should try the newer Ohuhu brush/chisel tip markers. I have Copic and Ohuhu, and sometimes I can’t tell the difference. While using my markers, obviously there are settle differences that I can feel while using the markers, and the blend ability, but over all, to an untrained artists eye, they wouldn’t tell the difference.
