We live in Lancaster and love Shady Maple. Fun fact - if you go with a paying adult on your birthday- you’re free! And they have a great gift shop downstairs
All that homemade tasting comfort food and some Asian persuasion on your arm.....you're living the dream Stevie!!! A peaceful and prosperous future to you and yours for the New Year brother!
Great video!! I've been going to Shady Maple since 1994!! I love it there! I love everything about Lancaster County, Pa. Especially my Amish friends I visit with. You loved the brisket...which yes, is amazing ad even better...Wed is PRIME RIB day!!! MEAT PLATES for days! 🤣😂 Going to see what else ya did while there. Bye for now! Oh and baby is adorable!!
You both made me laugh throughout this video. You both were in food heaven!! And the price was right. Many, many choices. Think you both got your monies worth!! ❤
I just wanted to point out that 44 is expensive, and you explained that 22 dollars is per person. It really makes me want to eat there on my next visit. Thanks!
Yes, $22 is very reasonable for a buffet especially as nice as this one looks. I can get decent buffets where I am for about $18 but this place looks a bit better than 'decent'. This looks top tier.
I live less than an hour away from Shady Maple and have been there three times. The food was always amazing but I use a strategy. Make your first pass and study the food then take a really small portion of each dish you want to try. After you find the best dishes go to town! BTW your kid is adorable, my kids are grown up now.
So glad I found your channel ❤ I live in Delaware State, so about an hr from here. You are making me want to take a trip!!! Amish food is DELICIOUS! We actually buy all our meat at our local Farmers market. It is so fresh ! Im so glad u experienced this 😊
I've waited upwards of two hours to get into places like Der Dutchman, Boyd & Wurthmann, and Berlin Homestead. Truly incredible food here in Ohio's Amish Country.
This place looks awesome! Great value for what’s provided. A typical very standard run of the mill Chinese buffet near me will run like $18 a person and this looks MUCH better!
I would go there 35 years ago in a different building on Tuesday night was seafood night. 13.99 included peel and eat shrimp, whitefish filets cooked to your specs right in front of you and tons more!! I didn't know how good we had it then!!!!
Jean is the best baby ! What an adorable child . I have an Amish market , 5 miles from my house . I get roast beef and roast chicken , at least 4 times a month . Worth every penny ! Also , the sticky buns and cream donuts are unmatched . 😉
I have been to Pa. Amish country probably 50 times and have passed this restaurant a dozen or more times. I never stopped. Big mistake! I used to love the Gap Diner. Anyone heard of it? Cute, cute baby.
Love you guys.....blow your mind again.....try mixing the milk shake with your favorite slushy....Gelato like. You can create your own meals too....example, get grilled chicken...ham from grill carving station....add cheese sauce or your favorite cheese. Make Mac and cheese with pulled pork mix. Even as simple as Mac cheese and broccoli.....get creative every trip!
But did you try any of the more PA Dutch foods? Pork & sauerkraut? Chow Chow? Most of what I saw you eat was their more American-type fair (which is still awesome!) but their PA Dutch delicacies are awesome!
Haven't been to the SM in years. Last time I went was for my birthday in 2018. Since then, I lost my mom, husband, and father. So I no longer have anyone to go with.😢 Plus it's about 1.5 hours from my house.
I go to this buffet twice a year, and then we go to The Sight and Sound Theater. They put on wonderful Biblical productions (imagine sheep, camels, horses, etc, running down the aisle to the stage), anyways really good, fresh food. Every cut of beef, tender and delicious. There is so much to eat, and I can never finish my whole plate!!
@jamiestauffer3700 not unless they've changed it since I went years ago. Don't recall now who's birthday had been on a Sunday. We went on either a Saturday or Monday, don't recall now which, and was told no when I asked about the free dinner. It's been several years since I've been there. It's a 2 hour drive from here. I've lost both my parents and my husband since then and my kids don't live in the area. I'm not going to go by myself.
I never liked it being called “America’s Largest Buffet.” It’s true that it holds a bunch of people, and there is a lot of choice, but everything is duplicated so it’s really half as big as it looks. It’s good food, but there are some lesser known buffets in the area that are cheaper and just as good if not better. And no, I don’t mean Miller’s!
Oh Steve, how far you have come from the "boneless, skinless" chicken and "blue box" mac & cheese eater of a few years ago...see what travel does to you!
My friend went with her parents to Amish Country when we were teenagers i never forgot her going on about that ShoooFly Pie.The state of Maine is famous for WHOOPIE PIES the filling is not whip cream.its more like CAKE frostning.
You guys are a really nice couple and your baby is adorable!

Yes, we go for our birthdays now!

Thanks!
Hi, thanks for this kind donation! It really helps us. We will use it to keep making more videos!
I miss that place. I used to work nearby and have xmas parties or team building over there. There is food for everyone. And the desserts...yum.
You three will have fun wherever you go!!❤
Your baby is adorable 😍
for everyone reading this finding the banned book called the hidden amish handbook should be your top priority

Love the husband's enthusiasm and the couple's passion for food. Baby is so cute and calm.

Family, friends, food, what's not to like. Happy new year from down under
Happy New Year🎉
I'm going to have to check this place out! The Amish really know how to cook! Everything looked delicious 😋
I just wanted to point out that 44 is expensive, and you explained that 22 dollars is per person. It really makes me want to eat there on my next visit. Thanks!
It’s a lot of food for that price, you definitely get your money’s worth.
Your baby is so cute!!!! And what a good girl ❤
Love watching you 2 eating such delish food but the baby looks like a perfect doll and stole the show. How good is she too. Not a peep from her.😅❤
Wow that looks soo amazing and yummy 🎉🎉🎉🎉😅I would be done 1 plate in lol 😂😂😂lol and dessert lol
I love Shady Maple! With the shoofly pie, a must to have ice cream and/or whipped cream on top. It makes a big difference.😉
I love Shady Maple. I always go on my birthday and other family member birthdays. The food is always good. 😋

Love how you guys are so open and real about everything! ❤❤❤
The baby's hair!!! ❤❤😂❤❤
Post said not Amish. True, this is PA Dutch cooking. My grandmother was PA Dutch and I ate a lot of this growing up. Can't beat it.
Love this kind of food !!
❤🎉
wow looked good and given all you can eat the price is good. I would go there with a backpack and bring some of those nice goodies home
I live in Pennsylvania and I have never been there but heard of it many times. I need to go

Wish you and your family a Happy New Year.
Love this place but have to drive now hour to get there. We go once amonth
I put soft-serve in a glass, than add root beer for a root beer float. The shake and coffee sounds good too.
We will be going here on my Birthday on the 23rd which is rib and wing night!❤
Gotta put that on my bucket list . PA and that Smorgasboard place
I’ve been there, and the food is awesome. There’s a great Amish sandwich maker in the area as well.
It’s a nice drive out from Philly. I love the breakfast there. I hope you got to visit other places in the state.
Went to Miller's smorgasbord also in the Lancaster area..very good food reservations recommended
I would love salad and sides. Well, a little brisket. They would profit from me!
Your making me hungry ! Why no drinks ?
Great video! Wish I lived near there, would love to try it. Your baby is absolutely gorgeous!

A Philly cheesesteak with pizza sauce is called a "pizza steak". You can find them all over South Jersey
That’s a great price ! We’d pay that for a burger and fry in Canada.
I have been to Pa. Amish country probably 50 times and have passed this restaurant a dozen or more times. I never stopped. Big mistake! I used to love the Gap Diner. Anyone heard of it?
Cute, cute baby.
Home made goodness. they even churn there own butter.
Enjoy the moments around
Amish food is so delicious. I Lancaster PA❤❤❤😊
Looks delicious y'all enjoy

The Amish can cook. Period.
Eh. They’re food is ok, baked goods mediocre, underbaked every time I’ve had it. And Amish are not doing the cooking at Shady Maple.
I'm so hungry now....😋😋😋
An Italian Affogato is a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a side shot of espresso, which you pour over the ice cream! 😊
But did you try any of the more PA Dutch foods? Pork & sauerkraut? Chow Chow? Most of what I saw you eat was their more American-type fair (which is still awesome!) but their PA Dutch delicacies are awesome!
Happy New Year Steve, Ivana and baby Jean
Happy new year Steve ♡ Ivana,,baby enjoy your travel 😊 let's explore ahead 🌄 😀
Thanks! Happy New Year to you too! And we can't wait to explore more! 😊

coffee with icecream is also called affogato, its very common in italy!

Good thing its a buffet, she's setting dominance like crazy, thats her plate and she's letting you know 😂. Get your fill girl but let him eat too.
Baby is sooo cute
Worth the drive and worth money. Been there many times. And on your birthday you get to eat for free, just show your ID.

Yams are sweet potatoes
Welcome to Pennsylvania, if you go on your birthday before or after it free.
It's only free on your birthday. They're closed on Sunday, so if your birthday is on a Sunday, you're out of luck. 😊
No. They can take your birthday on a Monday if your birthday falls on a Sunday.@@dizzysdoings
@jamiestauffer3700 not unless they've changed it since I went years ago.

Enjoy imalwayrs wanted to go there
Chew your food Steve, chew!! 😅
LOL Maybe chewing can be my new years resolution
I ate there once everything was good and a massive variety of food

Back in the day when I worked at a gas station market a guy would put soft serve ice cream mix in his coffee every morning. I tried it, way too good
Man that food looks amazing!❤
Yessss get that shake
Oh New i get hungry 🤤
Love Amish for saving usa.
Yes... they played a pivotal role in this last election, for sure. I'm on board with the Amish
😂😂😂
They make pretty good food, but they're not very educated.
@@clm1859 Especially when voting
@@Lololeeleetrue true. Tampon Tim was the right choice for sure.
Oh Steve, how far you have come from the "boneless, skinless" chicken and "blue box" mac & cheese eater of a few years ago...see what travel does to you!
We go a few times a year. It’s always packed and there’s something for everyone.
Shady Maple is my favorite pig out spot. Roast beef to die 4
Your wife is funny and a Gem
Best buffet food I ever seen. I’m hungry.
Happy new year to you and your family
Happy New Year 🎉
Happy New Year to you too!
Looks good
Looks so yummy
The best buffet is Deiner’s. They have homemade noodles. Food is delish.
Yep another good choice.
would love to try that next time!
Jean is such good baby.
You picked a good variety
Your baby looks like a beautiful baby girl doll. 😊
The baby is soooooooo cute.
This is actually a good place, been there several times
Great place! Their ice cream is prob from Lapp valley farms! Whoopie pie is very Amish.
I wish I can find something similar in Northern CA
My friend went with her parents to Amish Country when we were teenagers i never forgot her going on about that ShoooFly Pie.The state of Maine is famous for WHOOPIE PIES the filling is not whip cream.its more like CAKE frostning.
Beautiful baby girl ❤😊
Hmm.. I think I saw the romanian vloggers from ,,HaiHui in doi'' visiting / eating in this place too 😁 They had a few videos in the US amish area.
Jos Louis in Canada look like Whoopie pies but taste better imo😊
That’s about an hour away from me. I might have to go check them out
