    Thanks!! What a cool set up!! Mine just came in both pieces! This time my 203p is black my other is red and both are supper cool for their size.. I don’t know a bunch about them but they seem to work great for me… how cool to see them work together on the scope !! Thanks for the video!! And the back up on what resistor to use I should have them in the mail Saturday so hopefully you’ll hear me on Sunday !! 73’s NorCal MotorMouth

    Enjoyed the video, Thank you! I am currently running a KL203 paired with a President McKinley radio. I have a Stryker SR-A10 magnet mounted antenna on the roof of my car. SWR's are flat with the radio, and 1.2- 1.4 with the KL203 . Overall I like it, and your test shows that this RM is better than people think it is.

      @@davenelson4154 I was so happy with the one I already have, I bought another one to use for another application. I have been using the first one for over two years now in my car. Use it everyday. Run it at the normal vehicle voltage. Kept my SWR's flat. Never had a problem.

    I purchased another RM KL 203P. This one runs my Texas Star DX1600 at my base. Set at 13.8v. Runs great. I purchased a President Thomas for my car, and now use the President McKinley in the house. I also use my Stryker 955 sometimes too. Both sound great. Like the Stryker better. However, using the President CB radios it is an easy 4 watts. No need to turn anything down.

    Great video
    Once a radio has been taken time with it will always be clean & smooth talking.
    Just wish they would made freq readout bigger in this Lincoln II+ .
    I like mine .
    I have a Stryker 955 RF carrier is 10 watt in max cau as e most radio as most could handle the ass t input but MOSFET RF swings a bit to hard .
    And when be Stryker is on SSB just shut amp off. I notice the Lincoln II+ is not as agrassive as 955hpc. The kl 203 amp looks good match in video I'm using old school amp with MRF- transistors .

I have one radio for barefootin' local, another hooked up to a pea shooter for DXing on the bench. I still run a systems check on both before keying up. I have a kl300p to hook it up with my hr2510 which I will turn the AM power output pot inside to have a deadkey of 1.5 watts. Do you think that would be enough? And would a 3 feet rg8 jumper coax be ok?

    • @GroundControl204

    • @GroundControl204

      @dxfordummies ปีที่แล้ว

      Those 203s generally don't do 100 on AM do they? I thought they did 50 on AM , maybe 100 on SSB if you really push it. I didn't realize the Lincoln only did 50 Watts on SSB. Seems like most export radios do 40 or so watts on AM and 80 or so on sideband.

      @@GroundControl204 the Lincoln must use different finals than all the Strykers/Anytones any tones

    • @GroundControl204
      @GroundControl204  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stryker 955 and 655 are 70 watt radios and clean on the oscilloscope, they are way better performers than any radio made by president.
      To truly get accurate readings considering peak wattage you will definitely need a meter made by Bird, coaxial dynamics, or Dielectric company. Cheap meters should be used only as a reference, meters from RadioShack, Dosy and PDC are just not accurate concerning peak envelope power.
