Not bad. Have fun with the starter. My gm 6.5td was a pain. The solenoid wire was not long enough to leave on but could reach the nut to take off with starter connected.
@ 8:54 extension or deep-well socket may be close. alternate stacked pair of drive increase/reducers to equal an odd sized in between extension length ;) cheapo stuff that steps up and back down a drive size. :0 I love the motto work smarter not harder, which is all part of learning and good teaching is a must!
Awesome! Now all you got to do is get Mara to work on the old Chevy! I love the simplicity of older cars and trucks, the Jeeps with the straight 6 are easy to work on, the 4.0's are bulletproof over 5 million of them made since AMC introduced them in 1986.
taking pictures of belt = great! I have photographic memory and great retention, but for things like belt routing and simple wiring? yeah nope after about 10 seconds. materials list go to store? 20+ years ago yes, now? what materials list...
One time when I was a mechanic I was leaning over a battery on a car and my wet forearms touched the posts. One arm touched one post and the other arm touched the other and I got shocked. Felt like a freight train went through me. Another time a coworker was setting the points on a foreign car. He had a battery charger hooked to it and was cranking it over to set dwell. The battery was smelling bad. He was leaning over the battery and BOOM. The battery exploded and I was watching the lid of the battery fly about 20 feet up and out of the shop. Meanwhile the mechanic was screaming with his hands over his eyes. He ended up ok. Funny thing he was late that day because he got into a major car crash that day and totaled his karmann ghia.
oh my old mud trucks i used silicone spray on everything if there was a wire it got coated starter , alternator. Distributor , what ever might get water on or in it it got sprayed
Well I think Seatcover is his wife not his daughter, but at the same time I have always wondered why her name here on youtube has always been Seatcover? Maybe her parents named her Seatcover? Doubt it though. Maybe I am wrong about everything I have typed here, but it's youtube so who cares.
Oreilly parts? I would have expected factory mopar parts from the dealer.... myself I buy the oreilly lifetime warranty parts and boy howdy i beat the piss out of them on starters and alternators lol
it goes back to the factory and they tear it apart and rebuild it with new stuff and clean the casing up n paint and they resell it. thats why when you get parts they say its a reman part or a new part. now who ever gets his old one it will be called a reman aka re manufacture
Great instruction video.
you guys are Tight i enjoy the interaction

I always use a paint marker to make my own belt diagram on the underside of the hood so i always have it
Awesome my family jumps in to help when my military truck needs worked on keep up the great work.
Same way I taught my daughter to wrench on stuff..
Brave man, willing to learn wife good on you both
Great Job, Mara
I can't wait for the Memorial Weekend action to be uploaded!
Great video enjoyed watching u all keep up the great work
She is a gem, lucky man
She did a great job! I think replacing the Starter is easier than doing the Alternator.
i love it, nothing better than a woman who can work on her own truck
She isn't really a good example of that
Jay D point us to your off-road channel on TH-cam where you have a better example then ass hat...

Well done Seat Cover.
Can't wait for seat cover change's starter ;-)

Eric; she could climb under the hood of the wrecker & "become one with the engine bay" to change out the alternator.....
where i live they wont replace or take cores thats covered with mud ..i cant blame them an alternator wont work under a mud hole
Hell yeah ! A new upload 😬👍👍
Here before the "why do you call your daughter seatcover " comments
Yeah, she's aged much better 😀

Now the starter, next week!
I love her comment lol she works and plays u fix it to funny 😂
good job Mara
Eric any chance of seeing the CJ5 in the garage? Nice 👍 job Mara
I need an extender...lol....
that is how I have been teaching my niece to fixing her vehicle. sometimes I have her fix mine.
You guys are awsome. Great team work. Fucking commercial trump came WTF.
righty-tighty and lefty-loosey, until surprised by left-hand threads.. no worries, everyone gets it wrong at times, if they claim not, liars ;)
Ha, ha!! Well done. :)
Do you own power washer that help
She could use a pair of coveralls to help keep her clothes clean for doing the starter
Oreilly parts? I would have expected factory mopar parts from the dealer.... myself I buy the oreilly lifetime warranty parts and boy howdy i beat the piss out of them on starters and alternators lol
Why does she keep calling it cute?
Money back for broken generator? How it works in US? Why you not repair it?
The replacement was a remanufactured alternator, the cost is low with the the core return. Makes more sense for us to replace rather than fix.

recoveryteam OK, thanks! It’s good deal. In Russia we have only one way to get good spare part... repair by yourself and put it to garage for future.
STEVE JONES thanks
Maybe seat cover should change the starter in a bikini shi she does not get her clothes dirty, just saying
I love a woman that'll turn wrenches ❤
