Why is everybody bagging on the 'burb? It is what it is. They're wheeling and having fun and it got stuck in the mud. No, it doesn't have a 632 or tractor tires. It's a streetable rig. Maybe, just maybe, the guy is on a budget and can't afford to dump $30k into a trail toy, or maybe he wants to maintain a useful, functional truck that he can have a little fun with on the weekends. At any rate, if you've never been stuck in the mud, you've never done any serious midwest wheeling. Give the guy a break.

This is a difficult obstacle, I have an eldbrock carb with a tall air filter that got soaked so It was sucking wet air. It has a 350 that was freshened. Than sat for 7 yrs all we did was change the carb and put tires on it. Thanks for your comments.
this is like an every day research project, to test out traction abilities of several vehicles , biased by make and model, power plant, and strategies for wheel power delivery. I like it, venture and human interactions, overcoming obstacles and mud, making friends, helping each other, and most of all, someone just saying "thanks"
Msg to all about the badlands winchs. I own a ton of them, And I'm happen with them. Never had a problem with them. For one the box that's on top of the winch, powerbox etc. that box is Not WaterProof!!. Water will get in there and stop working!!!. Just seel the box so water does not get in to it. Second. If you don't open it up now and then and clean it, and you bring it under water and mud a lot then it will stop, Most of the time you can buy what parts are broken, But I never had any problems with them!!, never had it let me down, works good!,
The Suburban driver is actually a great driver. I rarely see someone follow track and throttle that well when being pulled out. His motor kept wanting to die at low rpm that would irritate the crap out of me. It sounds very rich or bad rings or both.
Does mike have his other suburban still and also I've been looking At putting my tie rods above leaf spring and doing a cross over steering might be good for Mike's truck as well nice vid
Looks like the neutral safety switch has been bypassed. ;) And not to be hyper critical, but the front metal seems a bit thin to mount the front clevises in that manner, JMHO. Having had someone rip out a clevis when I was getting recovered once makes be pay close attention to that now. It failed on their vehicle, not mine. They did try to rip my bumper off, however, but they failed to do so.
Talk about a balless POS I love the rear doors. My question is what is the cute little flashing light on the roof for? I know when your so when you get stuck at night you can turn it on so your buddy can come and find you so he drag you stuck ass out of the mud puddle.

Can you let me know how it performs I thought about getting one of them for my burb but I heard a lot of negative about the harbor freights badland winch and for 200 bucks more I was thinking about getting a Smittybilt one let me know what you guys have encountered with it
He should have punched it hard on the first run of the second hole and probably would have had a chance. I love how the towtruck goes in backwards doesn't hardly spin a tire. lol
I switch back to Chevy instead of Ford but it's only two wheel drive I can get in the two tracks but not four wheeling too much but it pretty good for a two wheel drive truck

Tough obstacle, I've never made it through either direction with lockers, cut 37" boggers and the power to spin them.
