    Thanks for watching our Gosport to Beaulieu adventure!
    We give a little run through of our Savvy Navvy sailing app and the features that have been most helpful for us so far. If you haven’t got it already, you can use our link to get a free trial and a discount when you sign up to a subscription👌🏼 (Don’t say we never do anything for you😉)
    We’d love to hear your thoughts on the app, either way!
    Thanks and see you all soon, Lauren & Chris x

    Good to watch your progress. Bucklers Hard is a great mooring and the Solent can be a challenge with strong tides and lots of shipping. You might consider stowing the fenders once under way as keeping the side decks clear avoids a potential trip hazard - important if sudden action needed. And personally I always wear shoes to avoid accidentally stubbing toes/getting cuts etc. It’s all about avoiding possible mishaps. Keep sailing!

    Fantastic seeing your journey from landlubbers to sailors - everytime you go out you learn a little bit more. Brought back many memories for me actually, seeing you guys in Bucklers Hard. Somewhere I've been a few times, but only once by sea. A beautiful part of the world.
    Happy to answer any questions that you or your followers have.

    Strangely, watching this in Chichester Mariner having left Gosport this morning. Early tomorrow we're heading back to Swanwick against a forecast 30kts South Westerly. Then the drive home.

      Oh how cool, you’re right there!! The wind has already picked up, be careful leaving Chichester, we were told it gets a bit treacherous in and out of there! We’re wishing you a safe sail.

      @@SailingIndiana i’m looking forward to getting a bit though but single-handed but curious on what size because I like big indoors to ? Lol and how many kills should my boat have ??? should it be a wooden boat or fibreglass but I would like to have a Metal log fire on mine to cook of and heat if needed to and I think I would put A airbag system around the boat for if ever sunk to lol :) because we never know lol :)

    • @SailingIndiana
      @SailingIndiana  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@vivianbond7449 Sounds like a canal boat would be best for size, stability and proper log burning fire to keep warm! Sail boat of 30ft+ will give a nicer/bigger living space but all depends on experience if solo sailing. It’s fun boat shopping tho!

    • @SailingIndiana
      @SailingIndiana  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This was one of the things we looked for when boat shopping. We have sailed both slab and in mast but as it’s just us two and we aren’t interested in speed etc, so in mast is so much easier!

    You guys have such a big yachting community in the UK looking at the amounts of yachts around

    • @SailingIndiana
      @SailingIndiana  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s huge along the south coast! The Solent in particular is just brimming with marinas and yachts and everything boating!!

    You need wifi for savvy navy or data, so I don’t think you can use it offshore, correct me if I’m wrong to use it live, I have it and it’s good , I also have navionics,

    • @SailingIndiana
      @SailingIndiana  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David, thanks for watching again! You can actually download specific areas of the chart which enables you to use it offline. So for longer trips you can download as many sections as you need and it works great.
      We haven’t used Navionics yet, does it have wind and tide built in too?

    • @SailingIndiana
      @SailingIndiana  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Marco, so we’re using a Acer Predator Helios 300 right now, we’re not used to Mac so thought it best to stick with PC. Editing on Da Vinci Resolve!
