Another great video, packed with useful information. This is definitely on my 'must visit' list. So refreshing to watch a sailing channel that is actually interesting and doesn't feel the necessity to produce a weekly video over-dramatising the simplest of tasks, or desperately seeking sponsorship. Thank you Michael.
I could watch you all day long…. Oh, some days I do 😂 Thank you for always giving us such wonderful information & advice whether on water or land. Museum sounds amazing, as does the tranquility of the Beaulieu River. 🙏
Maybe one day Paul I'll meet the man himself... Mind you TC is a professional and makes his living from the sea I'm just a wandering sailor making TH-cam videos!
Hi Michael, I always watch your fact pact episodes with much joy. The first to view if anything new pops up on YT every morning. Thumbs up, of course. Cheers.
Hi Michael..I hope they gave you a nice bottle of something for the vid n review of the facilities. Looks absolutely first class, an amazing place to moor up..all that history too, special place Indeed.
What a great place to visit, love that little village Bucklers Hard, it does look sparse primitive living, it also looks like the kind of interior design hipsters would pay a fortune for in their Cotswold villa. Thanks for sharing Beaulieu.
In 2020 I moved my boat to the boat park in Beaulieu. Half the price compared to Christchurch and also significantly cheaper than the Hamble too. Lovely place....
@@fat_tommo_goes_boating Yes and the owner and his wife are very 'hands on' even though they are not into boats - the best 'facilities' in the UK! Do give them my regards if you meet them.
un très bel endroit que j'ai visité plusieurs fois avec de très belle balades à faire à pieds jusqu'en haut de la rivière à Beaulieu et la visite de son musé
Hi micheal. Sipping white rum yet? I have a question. When sailing around europe sweden to med, can you get weather info simply by your mobile phone as i assume one is never too far from shore, even for 2 days...otherwise the only real way is sat phone which is expensive.. If so then is there a mobile sim card that does all europe? and if crossing oceans, sat phone or vhf radio to talk to other boats for weather info....ssb seems a bit outdated and expensive... Your thoughts....enjoy the carib when u get there.. Thierry.
Thierry hello, Yes I get nearly all my weather info on my mobile phone and laptop... Laptop makes it a bit bigger and more detailed. The easiest and most visual is Predictwind, on the front page of my phone closely followed by Weatheronline & the most accurate for French waters MeteoFrance... You need 'roaming' on your mobile phone contract and you might need extra data... Or for the boat you can buy a T-Link 4G LTE mobile router which plugs into 12 volts and costs around 70 UK pounds.. It then needs a non contract sim with EU roaming and around 200Mb which coasts around 15UKP a month but no contract. Actually it has never been easier to get very detailed weather forecasts anywhere in the world.. Hope to start moving towards Caribbean at the end of the month Hope this helps
@@SailingGently in regards to roaming, i thought u only used it when outside the country of the simcard...unless you have an english sim card.and not a french one ..cant u get a sim that does all europe without roaming which is normally quite a lot more expensive...some people have dual sim phones...
@@thierryeymard9259 Thierry I assumed you wanted to use your data outside Sweden and you had a swedish Sim card... I am not an expert in all this but buying them and their range of countries seems to vary country to country... I have a French Sim but it's data is limited in Martinique for example... English sim cards appear to be cheaper for more data...
I confess I enjoy your gentle understated voice over. without dramatics you keep it intresting
Thank you Trevor... So pleased you liked the video

Glad you enjoyed it Angela. I try to only post new videos when I have something to say or show... Hence the long gap since the last one....
Thanks for posting this Michael. So glad that you were so happy and relaxed there.
Thank you Graham for watching. It was a good experience

Always such class. One of the best channels on TH-cam
Really pleased you liked the video.. I enjoy making them!
You should narrate your books and sailing stories into audio books. Your presentation and voice would make you a fortune! 🙂
Maybe one day! In the mean time I will keep doing Euromillions!

Wonderful. Simply love your video'. Stopped in the Yealm last week on a lovely mooring for three nights.
Wonderful! I'm now in Dartmouth.... Pretty crowed and difficult to find a berth
Another joy to watch. Thank you Michael.

Great to see another video from you. You made me realise with a shock that it was 40 years since I'd been the Bucklers hard too!!
Glad you enjoyed it John.... It is one of the few unspoilt places
Beautiful Place Michael! Lovely place too! So much history.
It really is Tom... I loved it there
Thank you, nice seeing you again.
Yes it's been a while... I needed to get back on the water. Thank you for watching

Yes it was a first rate experience and such a change from all the commercial soulless marinas I had visited up to then... More to come,,,
Nice Michael. Lovely' to see relaxed beauty without it being a tourist trap. Might take a drive down there next time I'm over.
Glad you liked it Kev... Worth the drive in my opinion... So much to see...
Very informative and very helpful
Glad you think so Martin. Thank you for watching
I was there 40 years ago with my 28 footer, many things have been changed over the years
Henk the place has really modernised itself.. Time and tide...

Je suis d'accord Dominique. C'est probablement le plus bel endroit du Solent. Contente que ça te plaise aussi...
Do you happen to know if the republic of Georgia has anchorages/ports of entry for boaters? thanks
Really don't know.. never been there.. Sorry
