Great episode and thanks for sharing your adventure with us. I personally would get in the habit of stowing the fenders, you never know when someone needs to get up fwd in a seaway and having fenders along the side deck can be a bit of a hazard! Keep up the great content!
Well done guys on your first port to port ......next Aussie via the Med, Caribbean, Panama and the South Pacific! A small thing I'd like to recommend is start a boat library, the RYA have some good publications, another good book(if you can find it in the UK, maybe Ebay) is "Australian Boating Manual", I used this book as a reference when I was doing my Master 5(commercial Licence) years ago.

Loved the vid - after completing comp crew in a bumpy Solent last weekend, sailing into Portsmouth harbour last Monday (and docking at gunwharf keys ) this brought back happy memories

Looks like you went round the outside of Selsey Bill you can go via the Looe Channel which is quicker. Normally you’d time the tide for Selsey Villl rather than the entrance to Portsmouth as you’ll get through even in strong ebb. Have fun.

I watch lots of sailing videos and your video just popped up at as a recommendation and I've just thoroughly enjoyed it! Well done on your first passage from Brighton to Gosport. We (me and my partner Ginny) bought our first 'big boat' about the same time you guys did except we live on the East Coast and our boat, a Westerly Konsort, was in Chichester. What a great time you are both going to have with your lovely yacht; lots of adventures ahead of you. We sailed our boat up to Walton on the Naze back in June and it was great fun but we've been sailing together since our teens and now at both nearly 70 still learn every time we take to the water. If I may make one recommendation...put some good sailing shoes on when at sea! Have subscribed and will catch up on your over videos.

Really good video. Wasn't a fan of the really shaky bit at the start. Hard on the eyes, but the rest of the video was great. Can you please tell me who's music that was you were playing at the end? You should put up a list of the music you use through the video. Will be waiting for the next video to come out.

Yeah we had a dodgy GoPro back then and didn’t realise how poor the footage was going to come out from this series of episodes🥲 So we might have thought some music would hide it a bit… It doesn’t 😂 Hope you stick with it though, as we learn a bit more about editing along the way!
