Don deserves every bonus he gets. With how much he helps out on the channel and are on it hes a genuine and important part of the channel. My opinion atleast
Hey neighbor! Sorry for the late comment, I'm missing your videos! This one is a great update of the sauna. Your wife is looking lovely at the beginning of the video and your daughter is getting so tall.😁 I want that nifty tool, I'm going to try making a waddle (wattle? ) fence and that would come in handy. I really like the upgrades, it seems very comfortable and "posh" now. I love the fact that your wife is a nurse! (I miss taking care of people.) It's also really amazing that she can come home and relax in a sauna after a long day. Nursing can be brutal sometimes and any way you can help "treat" her is a blessing. Your videos and family make me happy; life can suck hard core and to see other people trying to make a better life( you building) , a better community (videos) , and a better family through hard work and creativity (gardening, pigs, fish, hunting, ducks, nursing, dogs, brother, don, etc.) is freaking awesome! Keep up the hard work, stay safe and well, and hug those beautiful girls! ✌💖🐖💨

Good to see you and your wife enjoying the fruits of your labor with a date night. I think your back would enjoy that sauna also. I felt sore watching you.
Great Saturday. Good to see Don finally showed up. Great to see the rest of the family. Maybe next video your wife will make another appearance and tell us what she thinks about your crazy projects 😁
Have to do a hot tub next. Need an alternative if they start locking down the gyms again. High powered water jets for lower back pain would be a must. Don must need some relief for his lower back at this point.
I am very thankful for the th-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO that has been a tremendous help to me in building a perfect outdoor shed. I have been facing many challenges and difficulties for a long time, but this plan has guided me to correct the mistakes during the process. Fried egg, coffee and Kevin! Best start to the day lol! Got some projects to knock out today so thanks for the motivation my man. Keep up the great work!!!
Good job looking out for Don. I feel he should share in the "spoils". He always seems to have your back, and I feel has become an integral part of your channel.
Well done Kevin, literally a well done Kevin. That's one of the things I like about the projects you do,you always put nice finishing touches on things, like the pebble back and the cooldown benches. Yes i agree with you when it comes down to looking after your team mates, always get two of everything and make sure that Don is lavished with goodies because that man deserves it,I'm a big fan of Don's because he seem's to be a good friend and he's good with the old tools. One last thing Kevin ! I knew that you was a little bit kinky and it was confirmed when you threw your black bra on the bench when you was de-robing for the sauna. Peace all the way from England.
@@ModernSelfReliancehey bud if u get rid of those huge rocks and put smaller smooth river rocks like the blacks ones u used for the back wall but just a bit bigger, then just fill the kiln up a little below the rim. Not only would it heat up faster but it would work better as that’s what are used in real saunas and it looks nicer, then maybe bring a bucket of water with a cup to pour on top of the rocks and put all of your wood under the benches or stack the wood in the front outside your sauna so it stays cleaner and looks nicer just a couple ideas 👍🏽
“What’s the height of a chair? Let’s measure my legs” hahaha had me cracking up! Nice updates Kevin! So happy to see you enjoy all that hard work with your wifey at the end for a change! Your daughter is adorable and she’s grown so much too! An idea, maybe spice the sauna up with a couple orchids? It was also really sweet of you to give your side-kick Don the gift - he truly deserves it! Thanks again for my Saturday morning entertainment! God bless 💕
Afternoon MSR Family and Don 👋. Thanks for another great video Kevin. You're blessed with a beautiful family. Truly enjoy watching your videos. Enjoy your beautiful Sauna. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Stay safe. God Bless you and yours 🙏✌❤😊
I would put some railings both sides of the stove so it prevents accidents even just a lil bit. Looks good anyway. In Finland we sit in the sauna for about 15-20mins and throw more löyly the whole time (not too much or too often), then we take a cooling break. Drink cold beer, if it's winter we dip to the snow and cool off with it, some go to swimming if it's summer and there's water close by (bravest ones will make a hole to the ice in wintertime and swim there). Pretty much just sit and cool off for a while and then it's time for round 2. And 3 and 4 and 5... we could go all night XD
The fins inside the stove are there to create more surface area to extract more heat from exhaust gases as they pass on the way to the chimney. Removing them will cause a higher heat loss and high stack temps
Bet ya thought I forgot about you. I like the way the "new" sauna looks and functions. A great improvement for sure. Don is a quality friend, he deserves to be recognized on occasion. 😉
Nice projects to sustain and entertain your family’s needs. May I recommend that your portable DC battery and every building be benefited with a renewable energy building that’s powered by solar and controller interconnected to each building to create, use, and send power to the DC Power Building that’s also powered by a Dutch wind turbine building, a ranch-style wind turbine, a hydro-turbine building near the creek, and improve the pond with white sand beach house, and white rock may make pond water clearer? Thanks for the interesting projects.
Good work again. Aspen is one of the best for structures in the sauna touching any skin. Our regulations require that you have a fire-proof plate on the back wall and roof near the oven if it is using firewood. The idea is to prevent the building to catch fire in case of overheating. Your regulations are probably not like this since saunas are not so common out there. As firewood goes, birch and aspen are the best for sauna and other non-sparking wood too. Actual sauna ovens have a circulating air flow thus it does not escape right out. It will heat up the rock volume and then goes to the pipe. Aluminum foil or equivalent is good for the sausage, no fumes. Also, having water for cooling down and washing in the sauna is a must. OK, now you are good to go.
Thinking about it, if that fur case was originally some sort of boiler or whatever (if I remember correctly) you should’ve hooked up a small water tank to it and ran flexible hot water lines under the floor to keep it warm as well
I enjoy your builds. Nice Job! Inspiring! For safety's sake I would put a CO detector on board. CO is pernicious. Especially, since you are sealing your sauna up tight. Small spaces with an open flame are particularly susceptible. Battery powered detectors are available at RV and Marine stores, plug ins at the hardware store. I use them everywhere. About 50,000 people are admitted to hospital in the USA annually for CO poisoning.
