Well, if that don’t beat all, Kevin! Thanks for the shout-out-tickled pinker than a possum in a poke! That burger looks mighty fine, and we’re always up for a good collab. Let’s see what we can cook up-keep the ideas sizzlin’!!
I live in Texas and I am now 47 years old, but I can remember watching it with my little brother growing up as kids on the weekends. Dad would let us stay up just to watch the Red Green Show
I'm a 34 year old American and we own a summer house in Canada on the East Coast and I remember we used to get so excited cuz we could watch the red green show when we would come for the summer growing up
Glad to see a glimpse of the property in full use. I know you would've built all this in time. TH-cam surely helped it happen fairly quick, in motivation to make content and a few bucks. I'm glad to have been a help to you in that regard! Thank you for all the videos!
"You build it and they will come." Im so happy for you Kevin all the hours of hard work and perseverance and it shows. I will always be a long time supporter of your channel. Hopefully one day I can visit and see your creativity in person. Again im so Proud of you. Thank you for taking us with you as you journey through life!
The ending, with so many happy persons using the ice, made the video! The hamburger segment made me hungry... I was sorry to see those lovely, now dry, boards get removed. What with Grant's work, the boards should be made into LOGO CUTTING BOARDS rather than coasters.
Another Great video Kevin. I'll have to look into those filters, as I work in a sawmill-planer(saw flour all day long). - 2pks of 100watt LED floor lights on Amazon for $37CAD, might be nice for night skating. Mounted up in a tree on either side of the rink :) - That RV fridge, If it doesn't have one they make 120v\Propane auto switching modules. So when you're there and making\using power it will run 120 and when you leave and shut-down the power it goes propane. --Googled "rv fridge 120\propane switching module"
Hey neighbor! So happy to see you again! I have something to suggest to you if you thought the freeze dried meat was ok. There is a company that makes small, medium, and large freeze dryers. They are called Harvest Right. They are powered by a pump and I suggest the oil free pump rather than the standard pump that needs oil changes. You can make chili, put it on the trays, freeze dry it, and store it in a mylar bag. Bamm! Home cooked meals that are good for 25 years!!!! Check it out, you might be able to sell your food during SHTF. Hugs to the girls, stay warm!
The Red Green Show that made my day! Good for you Kevin, that was a show I watched as a kid as well, and recently started watching their you tube episodes! Thanks for sharing your projects.
I learned to skate on a pond in my neighbourhood that was on the way to school, in the mornings we would all leave early for school to get an hour of hockey in before school, we took our skates, sticks, and gloves to school and piled them in the corner of the classroom. We often had to clear the rink before we could skate and a family that lived next to the pond would flood the rink at night if it wasn't snowing. On the way home we would be playing hockey in the dark until finally someone's mom from a nearby house would come outside and yell at us to go home for dinner LOL So much fun, I bet they don't allow it anymore.
Kevin, I'm not sure about freeze drying, but for dehydrating meat, there is a trick to do it right. Cooking the meat only and dehydrating it, make it jerky, but cook the mea, then freeze it and then dehydrate it. You can dehydrate the meat to its soft meat consistency. You can never get dehydrated meat to soften up. It's all in the freezing. I dehydrate a lot of meat on the dash of my van, and the meat is awesome. Give it a try, it amazing
Well, once you open them up, if you have a freeze on one of those vacuum sealers, you just vacuum seal it again, and then you'll still have the other half in a vacuum, sealed back
I didn't realize that there was a difference in the thickness of ice. Always learning from your videos Kevin! The nose plugs seemed to work for you. Very cool! Hope this makes sense but seeing you take down the wall shows how well you build something! Good job on getting the bird out. The way you have that thought out sounds good. Like the idea of the barn style door. Very cool on the dehydrated meat a good idea I think, Grant hit it on the head! Looks like the kids really liked the pond and everyone seemed to be having a good time! Really like that! Good video Kevin! Look forward to your next one. Take care.
I didn't know Curling ice was rough (bumpy) I watch it all the time. The way the rock glides, and the players slide skip down the ice , I never knew. Curling is awesome.
Great family show today! 10 Stars ! This reminds me of my youth in wintertime playing on the ice with my friends. 😢thank Kevin for your hardworking dedication to bring us good quality entertainment on Saturday morning! Great job! Well done!
Holden and Chris had a fun vacation. Now it's time for them too to get back at work. Your nephew can learn to be your Don/helper, for Holden tries stuff channel. And your brother's got some editing to do now that he has a nice warm cabin to work in Zamboni
That is so awesome that the armed Green show reached out. I used to watch that show too. And yea, duct tape is what you remember. That hamburger is so cool. Can’t wait to share with my hiking family, who do a lot of back country! Great skating pond!
I know it would be way more work, but worth it- to continue the radiant heat into the sleeping area so that it’s so warm and cozy? Love how it’s coming along. Thanks for sharing.
What about a "U" shaped counter? Then you would have a place for people to sit on bar stools and eat at the counter or would that stick out to far into the room towards the wood stove?
Grading the trails, shoveling and icing the rink, trying on nostril gills, sawing screws and freeing a bird... all in all it's a breakthrough episode... to the other side... of the cabin. Triumphant
There's this guy named Will with a TH-cam channel named Will Survive building his somewhat wooden shed-house down in a holler in the Appalachian mountains. He doesn't have a clue into what the hell he is doing. Hopefully he doesn't catch it on fire because it's deep inside the wooden Appalachian mountains.
I always enjoy watching your video Kevin. Your hamburger looks great and delicious. Nice to see a bunch of friends or family get together.. take care and have fun.
I freeze dry my cooked meats. Here is some info for you...Freezing to 0 °F inactivates any microbes - bacteria, yeasts and molds - present in food. Once thawed, however, these microbes can again become active, multiplying under the right conditions to levels that can lead to foodborne illness...Home freezing cannot be relied upon to destroy trichina. Thorough cooking, however, will destroy all parasites.
The red green show brings back memories What was it if they don’t find you handsome they should find you handy ? Loved that show my wife just didn’t get it lol 👍😂
Freeze drying does not kill pathogens. But the manufacturer can do other process to kill pathogens and as the company expects you to cook it may not be safe to eat raw. Check with the company. Same with freeze dried dog treats. Not all are safe so make sure you use reliable company.
Hi! Look on the internet, there are already a lot of shovel shaft attachments for sale, which help to improve the angle and act as an additional handle - attachment. They make shoveling snow much easier, and since you shovel so much snow, it will be much easier for you!
- Love the channel Kevin, keep up the good work!! - So sad that someone can jokingly says meat has been outlawed for like 6 years and when you hear it you don't immediately think "well that is crazy" but rather you think, "well I guess it could happen". I don't see it happening, but the state of our society is pathetic when there is a real possibility of meat being outlawed. - great friends and family fun on the ice.
Camp is coming along nicely, keep up the good work. My brain can't process the burger, i tried it hurts to think how thats possible. Looks good though!!!
All you got to do is get some steel ammo boxes, packung full and then you'll be fine. There's metal animal boxes put to me in there, and then you'll be okay.Mice can't get to him
I think you should invite Red Green to your cabin.......and you guy's cook up something for him, even the "Bearded Woodsman"could supply the main coarse.Cheers I get Red Green in the states als0...
Fun fact 3 D printers were invented in 1931 , yes no kidding, all those supposed marble statues that supposedly carved with chisel maybe they used the printer as shown on videos
A lot of accomplishments this episode Kevin, great job as always! Although I do have one complaint, I tend to get a slight case of motion sickness almost every episode when you’re pacing or walking in circles holding the camera.. I do look forward to every episode pal, thanks for sharing all your visions and hard work.

I think Kevin needs a pair of the Red Green suspenders also to go with the shirt.😆
And a box of duck tape
@@allenenabnit7078 🤣
You really tickle my fancy, Sir 🤗🥰🙋♀️😂
Spent many summers in Maine with my Aunt and Uncle, and loved watching your show on Maine Public Television!
Kevin you know you have made it if red green is liking your videos. GRATZ MAN.

A collab of some sort with Steve Smith would be fun!
Can you build a mouse-proof pantry? Maybe re-use an old safe? A food safe!
There is a possibility!
I didn't know Curling ice was rough (bumpy) I watch it all the time. The way the rock glides, and the players slide skip down the ice , I never knew. Curling is awesome.

If you pulled the springs by the corner it'd be like a V-plow
Len ( Mr. Used ), was a good guy. He always had some cool stuff.
Great place to browse, never was able to afford anything.
With Don living his best life on PEI you are left performing these menial tasks by your lonesome. Good stuff Kevin.

All you got to do is get some steel ammo boxes, packung full and then you'll be fine. There's metal animal boxes put to me in there, and then you'll be okay.Mice can't get to him
English version please?? "There's metal animal boxes put to me in there, and then you'll be okay."
Are you reusing that window in the bathroom? The meat might not be great for burgers but sloppy joes and spaghetti would be great !
Windows are already installed in the bathroom.

Any Canadian alternative to Grid Down Chow Down. Sounds like a great idea to me!

Hi Kevin, I'm interested in knowing a little more about the head lamp you're wearing on your head whilst talking about the Zamboni
It was a Christmas present... They seem to be everywhere online. Works decent.
American who has minimal ice hockey experience -- what is the ring? Is that to practice handling?
Look up a game called Ringette. It's similar to hockey but different

Is the beef dry? Would it be better to soak longer with less water for juicer beef?
Someone indicated soaking in beef broth to rehydrate.. but I found it to be delicious just the way it was.
No burger for Frankie?
It doesn't agree with him..
