0h wow! What a refreshing change from the usual talk-it-until-the-eyes-glaze-over videos! Straight to the point. See how it's done. No 15 minutes wasting my time showing me your tool box.
Any common mistakes besides having the wrong gap to watch out for while doing this? I'm comfortable with doing my own oil changes, brakes, CV axle swaps, etc. Been years and several cars ago since I do spark plugs though.
@@sherrienovajovsky77 There are sockets specific for spark plugs. I remember using a 5/8 Spark Plug socket for the Sonata ( i can’t remember). The socket has a magnet (or sometimes a rubber) that holds the spark plug in place. A regular socket will not hold a spark plug.
i said that same thing.... i was like wow he took it out with a magnet so i guess hes going to put it back in with the magnet..... nope... just dropped that sucker on it and pray it doesnt mess the gap up LOL..... smh!
great video in a way because alot of them always tell you to sign up to their channel and blah blah blah.... So it was nice not hearing that... however I dont know if i would drop the plug in the hole like that... I think if you were going to remove it with the telescoping magnet tool I would put it back with the magnet tool but nope you just dropped that sucker right on it and i guess used a hope and a prayer to ensure the gap didnt get knocked off...... On my 2017 Hyundai Tucson. ,The right spark plug would not lift out . The rod is over it. Can tell me plz how. I just replaced 3 of them. Car running on 3 new n one old.
Video was good until you dropped the plug down the hole, not a good training tool. I use a piece of vacuum hose on the end of the spark plug, lower it gently down and start to screw in the plug. When it's tight pull off vacuum tube and finish with a torque wrench.
@@isiahsantistevan5614 I ended up buying the service manual, and you are pretty much correct. In there it says 0.7 ~0.8 mm (0.0275 ~ 0.0314 in.). Thanks for answering my question. I appreciate it.
Straight to the damn point, don't gave timeto show the color of the car, the wheel size, the noise and the introduction on how tall are you and mechanically incline you are . Damnit straight to the point 👉🏾

Thanks for talking me through it!
Ba ha ha ha ha ha
Lmao!!!

Very soothing and thought provoking repair tutorial sir. 10 out of 10, will be adding to ASMR playlist after I get back from Auto Zone.

I watched the whole thing without any volume and still makes sense, incredible!
Great finger pointing presentation sir. Thanks. Now I know what to point at....
Great pointing technique. So thoroughly explained. Thanks, you were a great help
Why are you adjusting gap on a pre-gapped Iridium spark plug?
cuz he is an idiot
Great video. Just followed everything. Took about an hour
this is perfect straight to the point

dropping the spark plug in like that can ruin the proper gap.
@@Squidwardooo how should one put it in?

What was the sparkplug gap
Great tip to use that magnetic tool to take out the old plugs!
Thanks! Very helpful!
Am I missing something or did you only changed one sparkplug???🤔 3 more to go.

Only helpful addition would be to know what size socket you used - could have shown that in the vid. Otherwise, spot-on!
Why not get a socket with the rubber in it to retract the spark plug?
At how many miles these should be changed
100k
That’s the max
Thank you! This is very helpful.

@Mitchellakm, do you know the gap size for 2016 Sonata spark plugs? Thanks.
A CHI .32

What was the gap size for the spark plugs?
Spark plugs are pregap when you buy them at .60
@@mitchellracingchannel Then to what gap size did you tap it to? If .60 is the correct gap size, why did you tap it?
My sport says .044
Some plugs tell you not to gap or check because you could mess them up.
That's 15-17 model requires a 1mm-1.1mm gap.
Is it recommended to change them all at once?

why does he need to tap the spark before install it @@
I thought it was a great instructional video.
What size socket did you use for taking the ignition coil bolt out?
for a 2016, it's a 10mm
2017 as well, hence why they walk away from every toolbox lol

Donde esta el sensor maf de este modelo de carro
Have you checked the resistance of you coils? Should be 0.56Ohm. Measured mine at a 156k and it was 300Ohm. Quite a difference in power and milage.
