Hi LInda, thanks so much! I sometimes use a pair of tweezers too but with so much embossing powder on the card it's hard not to get the tweezers all goopy.

Very pretty! You can use tweezers to hold the card then you can do the gold all at once!
Thanks! Yes, it's just hard to find a space along the edge without embossing powder to use the tweezers or a clip.

Thanks Rose! I have a regular Big Shot, it's the platform at #2, the top plate only and the Altenew folder underneath the plate. So much depends on the machine you use, some people need a shim, my doesn't.
Beautiful Susan. I am wondering if you could paint the background first and let it dry completely so the Embossing powder doesn't stick to it and then Emboss the paper then add the Embossing powder. I may have to give it a try. If you have already tried the other way, please let Me know what you learned from doing that way. Thank you!

Thank you! You’ve got me thinking, I haven’t tried it that way, let me know if you try it. I would want to know if the paint gets on your ink pad. My ink pad is so stained from pulling it over inked panels already I think I may have to buy a new one for lighter colors. Maybe try it on a swatch first.
@susanbcards Oh! Now I hadn't thought about the Versamark pad getting all the paint on it. No. Your way is better. 👍🫶
Edit: How about Luster wax. I don't believe it would come off on the Versamark pad. Scrapbooking Made Simple has the newest colors of Luster Wax and it's gorgeous! Maybe, I'll give it a try! I Sub'd to your channel. I have a bit of a problem right now. I lost the use of My primary hand, so I haven't been able to create. It might be years before I get the use back. But, this is easy enough to do with My left hand. Won't be perfect, but I'll be able to experiment!! I'll let you know and come back when I am able to try it. Thanks for responding! 🫶🌹

I love this 3-D folder. I purchased it but the embosser that I have will not take it through the folder is too thick. May I ask which embossing machine you have that works?
Sizzix Big Shot. #1 on the adapter, only one plate is used on top.
